Experiencia fantástica: Not as big as many aquariums we've gone to. It was done with creativity and very interactive.

Experiencia fantástica: AotP is one of my favorite places to go. I went recently with my husband, our 5 year old son, my brothers family with his three young children, and my parents. The staff there are always so helpful and so great with kids. My son was very afraid to touch the starfish and was having a hard time with his desire to but his fear of doing it. One of the staff members brought out a fake one they use for educational purposes so he could fulfill his desire to touch one. She didn’t have to do that, but it was such a nice gesture and really helped my son a lot. The rest of the exhibits are fascinating, engaging, and educational. We personally love the bird exhibit and the shark lagoon! And my son was quite pleased they had a real life axolotl. Beware of the gift shop on the way out! You may never find your way out of there. So many fun things to take up the rest of your budget and beyond!

Experiencia fantástica: Had an entry time at 3:30 arrived at 4:05 no big deal was made was still able to enjoy a day here. It’s a great place for a little trip and it’s an inside view of beautiful fish, frogs and jelly fish. Outside they have the seal lions, penguins and starfish area. Also a very kid friendly place they have a whole section they can draw and create their very own digital fish.

Experiencia fantástica: I was amazed with my visit to the aquarium a spectacular place that offers us a small part of our great aquatic World with a great variety of species and also some insects and reptiles. Don't forget to visit the souvenir Shop to take a small part of this place with you. I almost cried with emotion ✨

Experiencia fantástica: The aquarium has a lot to offer for all ages. I would recommend buying tickets in advance especially if you're going in a large group. You're allowed to bring bags inside, which can be helpful for the souvenir and any food that you end up purchasing.

Experiencia fantástica: I had a really fun time at the Aquarium of the Pacific! It was the perfect little outing for a two hour trip. The place is super clean, and the fish tanks are crystal clear, you can tell they take care of everything. The jellyfish and seahorses were my favorites, hands down. I also got to feed the birds nectar for $5, which was such a cool experience. One of the most unique parts was getting to touch a jellyfish outside. Parking was super easy and just $8, which was nice. Overall, it was a great experience and I’d definitely recommend checking it out if you’re in the area or just looking for something fun.

Experiencia fantástica: Bought tickets online for Father's day which made entering easy. The line to enter wasn't too long, we waited longer for parking. We spent hours looking around, my little one enjoyed it, and we will definitely be back. It was busy but to be expected and employees were extremely kind and kept things moving. You could spend the entire day here and still have plenty to do!

Experiencia positiva: We went for my son's 7th birthday. It was a little crowded. The building setup is a little hard to navigate. We did have a good time and he was able to see the sharks. My daughter did the touch tanks which was cool (starfish, jellyfish and sting ray). Food was pricey as expected. Overall it was a good time. Not sure if we will be back - but it waa a hit for us.

Experiencia fantástica: Went for my friends birthday, it was great. There was a lot of people but it's aquarium during the weekends so it's bound to have a lot of people. There were also a lot of fun places to visit outside the aquarium aswell.

This is one of the bigger aquariums I have been to, and it's absolutely magic! I loved bringing my nanny kids here, as well as friends who came to visit when I lived in Santa Monica. Great for all ages!

Experiencia fantástica: A reasonable uber from LAX, with shopping and restaurants nearby. The aquarium was wonderful, and we enjoyed the visit even on a weekday when there were school children everywhere. All of the employees and volunteers we interacted with were super helpful & knowledgeable.

Experiencia fantástica: Absolutely beatiful place, with lots of astonishing marine creatures. It was a privilege to be able to touch small sharks and some spectacular rays. The guide stamping route is very cool and is easy to understand and see where each stamping station is at. In conclusion, i can say proudly that this was a great visit and we didn't felt rushed anytime, even tho we were 17 people.

Experiencia fantástica: It was a great day. I thought it was very nice learning from the student volunteers, which are students that are ages about 12 I think. I got there around four really like the bird exhibit, but they were already out of the little juices to feed them

There was so much do and see, I was honestly amazed by how much is happening in the waters just in the gulf. We also did the VR whale experience. It was really awesome. Plus, we got all 29 stamps - it was fun to do!

I brought my almost 2 year old and she enjoyed it as much as she could— she enjoyed the sea otter demo, playground (!!!), and touching the starfish, in addition to the cool tanks and the amphibians. because it’s about to approach summer, I’m sure it will get busier; regardless, the place is worth the visit to spend the entire day plus $8 parking w/validation. They also do a lot for marine life conservation and education :)

Experiencia positiva: It was great! We, including ouf 2 adult children and our 5 kids ages 3 to 16, went for my son's birthday and had a wonderful time. We were able to do all the attractions/shows the favorite of them were the big dive tank. They, even my older children, really enjoy the shark and stingray touch ponds. The birds were my favorite. I highly recommend the bird feeding! Seriously, we thought we would spend only a few hours, and we were there until it closed. So relaxing and fun. Oh and don't forget to do the book stamp thingy. The older kids and I had so much fun hunting for those. Enjoy fun, and God bless you guys!

Experiencia fantástica: Beautiful aquarium. Brenda was a wonderful staff member who explained some stuff that was very helpful. Again, it would be nice if the aquarium would post when school groups are scheduled to come because it made it less enjoyable with kids running around everywhere and screaming knocking on the glass tanks. Just ridiculous that their caretakers aren’t more responsible in keeping these kids under control and respectful of not only the other ticket holders but all the animals as well.

Experiencia positiva: The aquarium was crowded despite required reservations for weekends and holidays. Although the crowds diminished our enjoyment, the exhibits were impressive. There was a queue to see the octopus, and the tide pool display featuring starfish and sea urchins. There are many opportunities to touch starfish, sea urchins, rays,sharks,and even jellyfish! The aquarium also features colorful interactive tech opportunities for kids. For a more relaxing, enjoyable experience, visit on a weekday.

Experiencia fantástica: We were in town for a conference at the Long Beach Convention Center. The garage proves ample parking but can take time to get in and around people to park. They do validate at the aquarium for a lesser parking rate. We were told it was moderately busy. If it was peak season plan a fair bit of time to get into the garage. Then there are limited elevators so getting into the aquarium can take a bit. When it is very busy, we saw over flow parking on the other side of the convention center. We loved the exhibits with my twin toddlers. We would definitely go again.

Experiencia positiva: Went on a Sunday before a public holiday, so it was fairly busy. The aquarium itself was well kept, friendly atmosphere and a wonderful experience ranging from touch pools and several informative signs on species throughout. Kids under 3 get in free which is a plus. At the end of the trip, we were offered ticket validation for the parking garage to ensure parking was only $8; which I thought was wonderful ... Up until we went to use it and it said the validation was already used a month prior.. Prices are a little steep, but I would go back again in the future for another special outing.

Experiencia positiva: It is extremely crowded! It’s also pretty small We only spent an hour and a half here, which I feel is pretty quick for paying the $40 admission. And honestly not super enjoyable considering you’re trying to get through crowds the entire time. It’s like being at Disneyland. Insane, and they should regulate that more. There were some pretty cool touch pools, but otherwise this aquarium is nothing special.

Experiencia fantástica: It's always great to take the kids to have some fun. It was my first school field trip, and also the first "attraction" I took my daughter to. It has a special place in my heart.

Experiencia positiva: Our family recently purchased the year pass, and we've found it to be an excellent investment. Our children thoroughly enjoy each visit. The exhibits are well-maintained and clean, and my son particularly appreciates the informative lectures. The playground is always a hit. While we appreciate the convenience of the on-site restaurant, the food quality could be improved. The chicken sandwich we ordered was not as fresh as we would have liked, with a texture indicating it had been prepared some time ago. In the future, we plan to bring our own snacks to ensure optimal satisfaction.

Experiencia fantástica: It's a gorgeous place packed with sea creatures! You can even play with little manta rays and sharks in a special area, and they have seal and sea lion shows. Definitely a fun family day out.

Experiencia positiva: It use to be nicer 20 years ago. The exhibits seem lacking. I don't know what happened to the sharks in the exhibits, didn't find any except outside. It definitely was missing the spark it use to have when my boys were little.

Experiencia fantástica: We visited the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach to celebrate Mother's Day with my mom, wife, daughter, and granddaughter, and it was a wonderful experience! Despite the scorching 105°F heat, we had an incredibly fun day. The aquarium is packed with diverse exhibits--sharks, manta rays, penguins, tropical fish, rainforest animals, and vibrant corals. Each section is engaging, well-designed, and filled with fascinating things to learn about. It took us about 45 minutes to explore everything, and the experience was perfect for all ages. Our granddaughter was thrilled, especially since it was her first time seeing fish up close. The staff were friendly and helpful, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. The admission price is not too expensive. Highly recommend this place for a memorable family outing!

Experiencia positiva: I visited this aquarium on a Saturday, so it was pretty busy. For being a small aquarium, it was pretty nice and clean. My son definitely enjoyed the visit. In my opinion, the price point was a bit high. However, it is worth it. We were in and out of the aquarium within an hour and a half.

Experiencia fantástica: The aquarium is truly amazing—best enjoyed during slower hours. The exhibits are stunning and deserve your full attention, but the experience can be diminished when crowds gather, people linger inconsiderately, and loud, unruly children disrupt the atmosphere.

Great spot for an affordable date spot that will make you cuddle and stay close to one another all day. Plus a seals and otters are so cute and adorable. You also get to pet a Jelly fish. You also can touch a shark, sting ray, and couple of other sea creatures. Very fun.

Experiencia positiva: I read a lot of reviews that say it’s not worth the price but honestly it took us quite awhile to get through the aquarium. It’s pretty clean and there is a lot of interactive things to do. The only thing extra we had to pay for is if we wanted food to feed the birds but they give you a pretty big cup of feed and some people pass on theirs before they leave the exhibit so we did not have to pay.

Love coming here all the time with my family when in town, I was very excited about seeing the axolotl but there’s only one and was hiding so I couldn’t even see it, also it would be great if whatever they project at the theater could come with Spanish subtitles too, I’m good with English but my parents have a hard time and it would definitely be a better experience for them and other people who struggle in English.

Experiencia fantástica: It always a wonderful, educational experience at the Aquarium of the Pacific. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and it doesn't feel crowded. The entire facility is very clean and well maintained. There are plenty of hands-on activities monitored by staff for safety and explanation. The food is amazing and parking could not be more convenient. As of the time of this post, discounted tickets are available at Raley's food stores in the area.

You’ll find yourself lingering, mesmerized by their playful interactions with one another and their toys. The exhibit is also well-laid-out, allowing for close viewing while still respecting the animals’ space and comfort. Beyond the otters, the Aquarium offers a wide array of marine life, from glowing jellyfish to majestic sea turtles, and features interactive zones for a hands-on experience. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, ready to share fascinating facts at every turn. But no matter how much you explore, the charm of the otters will undoubtedly steal the show.

Experiencia fantástica: I love this place. It’s one of my favorite places to come and spend time with it without kids. Their fish wall where you can just sit and watch them peaceful. It’s also really nice to just watch the fish swim around. They’ve created nice habitats for most of the fish. I do think the penguin enclosure is really small and makes me a bit sad. It’s a great place to take kids because they can look around but it’s not so big that they’d get overwhelmed. They have a lot of different species. The prices of the tickets are a little steep but if you’re a local person you may want to consider getting the membership. They have a huge parking garage right across the street. Parking is validated for the first few hours. The aquarium is also located at Long Beach Pike so there are great restaurants to eat and drink in the area.

Experiencia fantástica: I had a wonderful experience at one of my favorite places in LB a few Saturdays ago. My family - two new parents, a 5 month old baby, and grandma from NY - spent the busy spring Sat afternoon at the Aquarium. We came for the Penguins, the Sharks, and the Otters, and left with a LOVE for birds. THE highlight of our experience was the Bird Training Show hosted by Susan. I had so much fun learning about the Parrot, the Raven, and the Hawk. Incredible creatures! I loved how Susan created an environment of learning that created respect for nature and human interaction. I CANNOT wait until her show fully develops!

Experiencia positiva: It's a great aquarium been 6 years since my last visit 2018 with my first son. Now my 2 year old loved of course whenever you see Blue Tangs, and Clown Fish all the children say "Look it's Dory, Nemo" and so on. Great time for any family who wants to get out and enjoy time with their kids.

The experience was nice, especially the interactive Lorekeet section, the Sharl Lagoon, and the playground area where my 2 girls had so much fun! The only down side was the parking. It was limited and with so many people we had difficulty finding parking but the actual aquarium was nice and had a great experience.

The space is well-organized and not overcrowded, allowing us to enjoy the exhibits comfortably. There is a wide variety of underwater species to admire, which kept the kids engaged and fascinated. Additionally, there are small cafes available for a quick snack or drink. Overall, it’s a great place to visit with children, and we highly recommend it for a fun and educational outing!

Experiencia fantástica: Great for people all ages but of course targeted towards children. They have interactive zones, seal feeding, divers, and so many different species. They offer volunteering programs for teens and adults.

Experiencia fantástica: We loved visiting this aquarium. Our 18 year old and 11 year old both loved doing all the activities and interactive stations. Short 10 minute educational videos were great as well. We spent 3-4 hours here on our visit.

Experiencia fantástica: I felt like a little kid once again coming here. So many cute little fun hands on activities. If I enjoyed them, I can’t imagine the kids enjoyment. Not to mention the fish tanks and all the beautiful sea creatures. Fish/ animas were vibrant in colors and healthy looking, so the staff is definitely doing a great job in taking care of them. This aquarium is definitely a place you take your kids to and have them run around and enjoy their day. So much to see and so much fun! Definitely recommend.

Friendly staff, easy to find parking(hourly). Animals are really well cared for. Got to see some divers too, and the seal “show”/feeding. Super cool!

Experiencia positiva: This is a very beautiful aquarium and the employees were very educated and happy to teach about the animals! I loved how there was a lot to explore both inside and out including otters, sea lions, penguins, sharks, rays, and so much more. We went on a Saturday evening and it was very crowded with children and strollers, which was to be expected, but just noting! Their gift shop was great too, something for everybody. Bought tickets in advance because we had a group of about 15 and getting in was very quick.

Experiencia fantástica: My niece and nephew loved it! AAA got us a 10% discount at the door. We visited on a Friday for 2 adults and 2 kids it was $142(after the discount). The food at the cafe was definitely over priced, 2 orders of chicken strips w/ fries, 1 order of grilled cheese w/ fries, 1 tall can beer, 1 canned soda and 1 specialty bottled lemonade for $88!! Granted it's the aquarium but damn and the cafe itself could be cleaner. Otherwise the restrooms were clean throughout the day. There were some field trips that we noticed when we first arrived around 11, but once inside it didn't feel overly packed. Definitely recommend for kids and ocean enthusiast adults!

Experiencia fantástica: Wat a fun aquarium! Staff was super helpful and knowledgeable. Got to watch the seals and sea lions have lunch which was an amazing show. Got some trinkets from the gift shop and they had a special where we got a plush for free! Great stop on our vacation.

Experiencia fantástica: We really enjoyed our visit to this Aquarium. The first gentleman we ran into inside gave us great advice as to which shows to watch and the times of each one. We loved learning about the sea otters, sea lions and the penguins the most.

Experiencia fantástica: This aquarium is probably my second favorite aquarium in the US! They have lots of things to see. Takes about 4-5hrs to see everything. Definitely recommend checking out this aquarium if you are around the area.

Experiencia positiva: The Aquarium is well staffed, clean, and informative. Some exhibits were closed for renovations but there were still plenty of open exhibits to fulfill a day's worth of viewing. A lack of variety hurts the experience, as there are three cafes and even more food stands available compared to the limited space for exhibits. The price point makes the variety hurt a bit more, especially as there are no outside food or drinks allowed. Still, the staff is friendly and the exhibits and events are entertaining. Recommended! Pick a special event day and enjoy the experience.

Experiencia fantástica: My first time looking at the yearbook was incredibly amazing. I saw many species of fish, and the best part was that they were all different colors. I didn't expect to see frogs of other colors, too. The best part for me was seeing large jellyfish and some that glow at night.

Experiencia positiva: Beautiful aquarium! The woman at the ticket counter was not clear about parking validation. Please note, you get it when you’re exiting the aquarium not the parking structure! Frustratingly missed out on some savings because of the lack of communication from staff. But the animals were friendly! Went on a weekday and it was still so crowded!

Experiencia fantástica: From child-friendly interactive exhibits to the genuinely passionate staff, the Aquarium of the Pacific was a delightful and engaging experience. Getting stopped by keepers: listening to their stories and vast treasure troves of knowledge allowed me to look past the glass and acknowledge the unique and wonderful marine life displayed in this venue. This visit was undoubtedly one of the greatest highlights of my LA trip- largely attributed to the enthusiasm and genuine kindness displayed by trainers and exhibit workers alike. Exhibit wise, the designs were extremely considerate of each individual species as well as visitor viewing experience. Keeper and expert talks were a regular event- spread generously throughout the day, and contained a lot of interesting content to keep the little ones engaged. My personal favourites: outside moon jelly exhibit (overlooking the dock), mudskippers, amphibian sector, jellyfish displays, glow-in-the-dark coral, outdoor penguins, and a little grumpy fish hiding in a shell and glaring at spectators. (See if you can find him) While the exterior layout was a little confusing, there are a heap of signs along the way to guide you on your route, as well as people you may pose queries. Café with small food items and drinks is available inside - though greatly recommend eating at the restaurants nearby or bringing snacks from home. If you would like to slowly tour and admire the displays, 4 hours is a good start, but families can expect ~2 hours to get through everything. The best times to visit are early in the morning and late in the afternoon- you’ll pretty much get the aquarium to yourself! Nearby whale-watching tour is pretty worth the investment too. It gets REALLY windy and cold on deck, but there’s a small cafe under the surface that offers views that are just as nice. Expect to see plenty of dolphins and other marine life, and whales if you are lucky (I did). Café items are quite overpriced and limited, bringing your own food is recommended! All in all, this was a truly memorable experience that put local wildlife on full display for international and domestic travellers alike- absolutely worth a visit.

Experiencia fantástica: I don’t have much experience visiting aquariums, so I can’t compare this one to others, but here’s my take. Right when you walk in, you’re greeted by a massive whale suspended from the ceiling. It’s impressive—seemingly to scale—which made it a great visual to explain to my little one just how enormous the largest animal on Earth really is. While the large tanks were definitely fascinating—especially the two-story one with stingrays—we found ourselves even more drawn to the smaller, well-organized exhibits. The aquarium does a great job of grouping tanks by geographical region, making it easy to connect the marine life to different parts of the world. It was fun to explore the map and see how diverse underwater ecosystems are across the globe. The admission price is steep (over $80 for two adults, though toddlers get in free), but considering the experience, it felt worth both the cost and the drive to Long Beach.

The exhibits are well-designed, engaging, and educational for all ages. My children loved seeing the sea otters, jellyfish, and sharks up close. The interactive areas made the experience even more fun. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful—it was such a joy talking with them! Their passion and knowledge made the visit even more special. It’s a perfect destination for families or friends, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an enjoyable and educational outing. We had such a great time that we’re definitely planning to come back!

Experiencia fantástica: Overall I had a good time here! Spent some time at the aquarium while visiting Long Beach for business. There is quite a lot to see with exhibits both inside and outside. Some of the more memorable exhibits for me were the jellyfish and the artifical coral reef. There also certain areas where you can touch some of the animals. So I touched a sea urchin and a small shark, there was the option of touching a stingray as well. They also had different shows going on throughout the day, really enjoyed the Sea Otter show. Parking was convenient as there's a parking garage close to the aquarium building. Got the BLTA burger and fries from Cafe Scuba while there. Fries were really good and crispy. Visited on a Monday so there wasn't a ton of people either which was nice.

The two floors full of exhibits and outside provided a few hours of exploring and looking at amazing and wonderful creatures. Experiencia positiva: This aquarium is justifiably well known and popular, particularly in the summer months and on weekends. The various zones showcasing marine fish and mammals are extremely well done and meticulously documented. There are numerous opportunities to listen to the curators discuss their charges and timetabled feeding times that are very popular with the younger visitors. Be warned however that, when it gets busy - it gets very busy and there is always a subset of parents who allow their children to run riot, banging on display windows and generally making the visit less enjoyable for others. If I were to return I'd gladly do so at a quieter time when the "window bangers" are not there.

Experiencia fantástica: We enjoyed the Aquarium of the Pacific and harbor tour (combo ticket) very much. It was a nice way to spend a day before our cruise out of San Pedro.

Experiencia positiva: It has been some time since our last visit to this aquarium.  Improvements have been made, including shaded parking at the top roof. However, elevator capacity remains a significant concern. The current elevators accommodate only two strollers at a time, and only two of the three elevators were operational during our visit. This contrasts sharply with facilities like Disneyland, where elevators can comfortably fit three to four strollers.  On the fifth floor, wait times for elevators averaged 20-30 minutes, exacerbated by the lack of shade. The aquarium itself was crowded, with ticket prices at $44.95 per adult and $34.95 per child (ages 3-11). Parking, after validation, cost $8. The overall visit lasted approximately one to two hours, indicating a relatively small facility.  Considering the cost and crowding, we would recommend Cabrillo Aquarium as a more budget-friendly alternative, despite its suggested donation of $7 per adult and $3 per child.

Experiencia fantástica: Amazing time visiting all of the exhibits. Many shows to be watched and the best thing is, every dollar spent goes to the conservation efforts of ocean wildlife. Arrived around 10 am and ended the day around 2 pm. The pace is all yours to dictate. Many helpful guides and animal specialists to learn from.
