🗣️ Harbor WildWatch: Opiniones
Experiencia fantástica: Great little aquarium
Experiencia fantástica: Super great community marine center. Top tier of the six in the area I’ve visited. The people were the nicest I’ve encountered and they had plenty of tips to share. Quaint center but full of information, a touch tank, and a few aquariums with local ambassador species. Pacific Red Octopus, Roomba, was peacefully napping but their intern graciously shared a great video of them in action. Will be back with the fam, would recommend if already on that side of the narrows.
Experiencia fantástica: Our favorite place in the Harbor. Great for young kids and really anybody of any age who loves and wants to continually learn about the Puget Sound and amazing marine life all around us. The staff and volunteers are incredibly knowledgeable and kind and are always changing up the tanks and exhibits slightly to keep things interesting for every visit. Beyond the Marine Life Center, Harbor Wild Watch inspires stewardship and love of the Puget Sound through education and learning. An incredibly important non-profit and wonderful space
Experiencia fantástica: Really well done learning experience.
Thank you!!!! We appreciate your support!
Experiencia negativa: Super lame
Sorry you were disappointed. We have 700 gallons of marine aquaria and actual shark specimens from the Salish Sea - we don’t think that is lame at all! But we are here to serve and always open to new ideas. So, how could this have been a less lame experience for you?
Experiencia fantástica: This is a must visit with kids when in Gig Harbor. Dylan welcomed us inside and spent a lot of time sharing interesting information about each exhibit. My girls and I loved it. They have several community events and a summer camp. We hope to be back soon. Thanks again!
Thank you so much! Dylan is a rockstar!
Experiencia fantástica: Love their livestream on tiktok. They walk through the water at night and show you all the creatures.
Thank you for your support!
Experiencia negativa: Unfortunately not open when the sign said they should be Friday at 12:40 pm . Maybe better to call ahead to ensure they are open.
Thanks for your comment. Unfortunately our volunteer cancelled the morning of due to illness. We opened when the next volunteer arrived at 1pm. Thanks for your understanding as we are a small nonprofit organization. We hope you will visit again.
Experiencia fantástica: What a fun and interactive center for kids to learn more about marine life collected in the area. It is impressive how much stuff, information, and education they do with their limited space.
Thank you for your support!! We appreciate you!
Experiencia fantástica: Science! It's great for kids to check out and has scientists that do events occasionally which are done in different places about various animals and environments! The events are even free but I suggest a donation so that we don't lose a great community resource for kids
Thanks for the review. We appreciate you!
Experiencia fantástica: Fun spot to learn about sharks and other local marine wildlife! The volunteers are super nice! Stop in, sign the guest book and learn about some sharks!
Thanks for visiting and leaving a great review. Much appreciated!
Experiencia fantástica: We learned a lot about the wildlife in our new home. The volunteer was very nice and did a great job answering our questions.
We’re so glad you enjoyed us. Come back to visit again!
Experiencia fantástica: This may be the location of Harbor Wildwatch's headquarters, but the organization reach extends far beyond this small building. Harbor Wildwatch provides educational camps and programs for children of all ages, as well as providing volunteer opportunities for those interested in protecting the diverse tidal zones and creatures around the Gig Harbor Peninsula. The touch tanks that can often be found at Skansie Brothers park in the summertime, or at other local events are usually sponsored by Harbor Wildwatch, who carefully finds organisms from nearby beaches, staffs the touch tanks with volunteers, and then returns the organism to the sea afterwards.
