Experiencia fantástica: I LOVE SHARKS!! Cute place to take your family and touch stingrays!!

Experiencia fantástica: This is a great place for our town. I think it's even better than some bigger city aquariums like Boise. The VIP passes are the way to go if you want to go often and have a great place to take the kids.

Experiencia fantástica: This is a very small aquarium that will take no more than one hour to go through. You can feed fish, birds and lizards which is very fun. Feeding the birds was the best. I took my young granddaughters and we had a great time!

Experiencia fantástica: 5 Stars! A Must-Visit Aquarium in Idaho Falls! The Idaho Falls Airport Aquarium was an absolute blast! From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly kind, especially Gina at the front counter, who checked everyone in with a warm welcome. This was my second visit with my kids while in town, and it was even better than the first. We arrived right at opening (11 AM) and were lucky enough to see the sloth come out, eat, and climb into its treehouse, such a fun experience for all ages! What makes this aquarium special is how interactive it is. My kids loved using their tokens to feed the animals, with the sting rays and iguanas being their favorites. On our way out, we were surprised with a special treat, one of the employees had Rufus the porcupine out, and everyone loved watching him do tricks and eat snacks. It’s unclear if arriving right at open is when they bring out the animals, or if we just got lucky either way, it made the day extra memorable. The only small hiccup was that some of the QR codes placed in front of the animals didn’t scan properly, but that didn’t take away from the experience. This is a smaller aquarium, but if you really take your time, there’s plenty to see, learn, and enjoy. It’s a fantastic stop for families and kids, highly recommend!

Experiencia positiva: It's a cute small aquarium and terrarium. Lots of places to feed the animals

Experiencia fantástica: Took our 3 grandsons, and they loved it! They got to feed birds, iguanas, and fish! There's a good variety of creatures.

Experiencia negativa: No reputable aquarium of any kind should be selling betta fish in tiny cups like a pet store. The plastic "tanks" they were selling are also MUCH too small, which makes me wonder if any of the enclosures are appropriate sizes. Several bettas in the gift shop looked sick and one was dead. Seems like an appalling lack of care coming from a "conservation"-minded institution, which functions more like a petting zoo than anything else.

Jennifer Kaminski 2 months ago

Experiencia negativa: Not worth the price, plus a lot of the exhibits were closed. The website isn't very helpful, especially if the aquarium is being rented out for an event and is closed to the public.

Holly Sprunger 3 months ago

Experiencia positiva: They don't have many signs, so you have to have your phone out the whole time to even know what is in the tank, making the experience much less educational and interactive for kids. The whole thing might take an hour if you go slow. Also it is 1/3 to 1/2 bird exhibit.

Experiencia fantástica: Excellent place alot more inside than you would think by looking at the front . Great for small children.

Experiencia positiva: I've rated this place before; it's a wonderful, I'll be at tight operation. They keep the place clean and very well beautified for the amount of space that they have. They have a wide variety of things, though the numbers and space may not the ample. I love the Hands-On activities, all the tactile interactions are nice, especially for children. It's fun to have shrimp and fish nipping at your fingers for fun. They also have a wide array of very exotic birds, a sloth, and a sweet porcupine that you can feed. The business makes some awesome deals for grandparents and families, so take advantage of that if you can.

Experiencia negativa: Beautiful place! Front desk needs to teach employees to be kind and helpful. They act like they’re not getting paid to work in the front desk. Very disrespectful responses to questions, hateful and lack of hostility greeting service. It feels like it’s our fault they’re having a bad day.

East Idaho Aquarium

Hello Karembly, We are so sorry you had a bad experience with our front desk. We would like to hear more about your experience so we can take corrective action. We aim for everyone to have a pleasant experience. Please reach out to our executive director, Arron Faires, at [email protected] We also hope you give us another chance

Experiencia positiva: Aquarium with fish, rays, tropical birds, a sloth, a porcupine, and even reptiles/amphibians. Has doctor fish where you can put your hands in the tank and they’ll eat your dead skin. You buy tokens and can feed certain animals. Takes about 45 minutes to see it all. Hard to find if you don’t know the area - tucked behind a Fred Meyer store.

Experiencia positiva: Smaller than I thought but the exhibits were so cool! Lots of hands on feeding!

Sarah Herriott 3 months ago

Experiencia negativa: Unfortunately this place has declined in quality very quickly. Even just a year ago, it was way cleaner and more humane for the animals. I don't know what's happening but it's sad. Also, I am a person who has studied parrots extensively so that I could offer my own parrots a good living situation, and I noticed that most of their parrots were not doing very well. They were in desperate need of nail and beak trims. Not to mention that a few of them were plucking out their perfectly good feathers because they were super anxious and depressed. Something that most people don't realize is the fact that parrots are so emotionally intelligent that they are able to pitty themselves and their living situations to the point of physically being capable of committing suicide if they get too depressed. So their mental health is no joke.

East Idaho Aquarium

Hello Sarah. We are so sorry you feel our quality has declined. We would love to be able to walk through with you so you can show us where you feel we have declined and where we can improve. We would also love to share our parrot program with you and you can show us if there is anything you think we could add. Our Parrots get lots of attention. Coming out almost daily, and out on a regular nail and beak trimming schedule. Please reach out to afaires@eastidahoaquarium so we can set up a time to do these things. We would love to be able to improve.

Experiencia fantástica: I went in with standard expectations of an aquarium but left amazed!! Wow. What a fun cool experience! It was almost like an excursion on a vacation. We went the last hour of the night (didn’t mean to just ended up being our timing) and that was such a great choice. The perishable treats or food you can buy to feed animals are open and free to use the last hour. We got to feed large iguanas and go inside their cage and pet them. We got to feed and pet a large porcupine. We got to go inside the bird cage and have alot of birds surround us and eat out of our hands. We also got to feed sting rays. They had the sloth out so we got to see it up close! They also have the little fish that eat the dead skin off your hands. All for no additional charge! Great experience!!

Experiencia positiva: Small but that's a plus in certain ways. Pretty expensive activity, but I consider it a petting zoo of sorts for water animals. Staff were friendly. My grandsons still talk about going.

Experiencia positiva: for such a small town it was actually way cool. so much hands on the food tokens worth it. maybe stock up the food more often so a bit more variations of food to be fed. the doctor fish was my favorite I've only seen em on videos but I'd say it's a must go. How the sting rays grab and eat the food is something to see for sure!! cheaper and less crowded on weekdays!!

Experiencia fantástica: This is the best smaller aquarium! There are so many fun things to do. I have older kids and they all loved it!

Becky Harrison 5 months ago

Experiencia fantástica: Not my kid’s first time, but it was mine, and I was impressed with the experience this aquarium had to offer! First, there is definitely an aquarium smell about the place, but it did not bother my kid’s at all and I got used to it within a few minutes. Second, you should absolutely spend the money to by tokens to feed the animals! My kid’s loved feeding the fish, stingrays, iguanas and so on. We went in a group of 8 kid’s with a range of ages from 9 months to 14 years old and everyone had a great time. There were exhibits with fish, sharks, eels, jellyfish, snakes, birds, stingrays, iguanas, a porcupine, etc. With kid’s I would plan to spend an hour here. Definitely recommend.

Experiencia positiva: My kids loved it. The interactive exhibits and kid friendly paths were great. My kids particularly enjoyed the birds. They requested I buy more food tokens for next visit. We're definitely going back

Corinne Mattingley 5 months ago

Experiencia positiva: Loved visiting the aquarium with my nanny-kids! There were so many touch tanks and cool fish. Lots of chances for interaction. Unfortunately one of the birds figured out if he squawked while his head was inside a long tube that it would echo and be 10x louder. This made conversation difficult and scared a lot of the younger children in the room. I recommend hurrying through that area if you have young kids with you or if you are sensitive to loud noises.

Braxton N 5 months ago

Experiencia positiva: Very fun family friendly aquarium! Exhibits are very cool and interesting with a very good variety for the size of aquarium. I did notice the exhibits all had qr codes to scan that gave info about the animals inside. I wish they had plaques instead as I don't like to be on my phone during things like this. But that was not a big deal. The bird exhibits are very cool and they have a large population of exotic birds. The touch and feeds exhibits are very fun and kids seemed to love them. My only knock on this place is that they sell .5 and .8 gallon tanks for their betta fish. These are far too small to house a betta comfortably and I was surprised an aquarium would offer inadequate tank sizes. Outside of that, this is a very fun little aquarium that does not cost very much. Would recommend for a fun hour with the family.

Experiencia fantástica: This is an amazing day for kids and adults. Interactive and educational. Go at your own pace and stay as long as you like. Very affordable. Loved it

Kylie Young 6 months ago

Experiencia fantástica: Very surprising! It was a great aquarium. So worth the price. It was very compact space. Sometimes it was a little too cramped. Lots to see, they had feeding and touching stations. It is NOT wheelchair friendly, it’s barely stroller friendly. The floor is uneven and you go down hill then back up the hill, so just walking sometimes was a little scary, I was worried about twisting my ankle.

Mariah Merrill 6 months ago

Experiencia positiva: So good for a smaller aquarium! I love how you have opportunities to interact with the animals like feeling the birds and fish. The workers were also super nice and told us so many fun facts!

Experiencia fantástica: Most interactive aquarium we have ever visited. Such a wonderful place and experience for the kids!

Angela Goff 7 months ago

Experiencia positiva: Very interactive for such a small place. Loved Rufus the porcupine. But don’t preach about protecting the animals, and let them die at the front of your store. Betas are animals too. They are selling them in tiny little cups in dirty water. They are hidden away and neglected. Please train who manages your cash registers to clean them daily. It only takes a short time, and the betas deserve a good life. Better yet if you don’t care to maintain them, do not sell them at all. It is a bad look of dying fish at the front of your aquarium.

Ally Hirsch 7 months ago

Experiencia negativa: THE WORST aquarium I have ever been to in my life. The animals’ living conditions are extremely dirty and way too small. We left almost instantly because of how bad we felt for the animals. This place needs a visit from the state.

Keith Kasperson 7 months ago

Experiencia fantástica: This was awesome! It's smaller than many but also more interactive than any I've been to. You can feed 7 different animals, including fish, sting rays, to birds (want dozens in your hands?), a porcupine, and iguanas! And little tiny fish that nibble the dead skin off your fingertips. Talk about engaging all the senses! They have a real live sloth, too!

Payden Cellan 8 months ago

Experiencia fantástica: Price is right and the kids and I enjoy all the interaction. They want to go everytime we are in town. Not an all day thing but a good couple hours well spent.

Laura Spackman 8 months ago

Experiencia fantástica: This was only our second time visiting and it’s more fun than I remembered! Perfect place to spend a couple hours with the family especially in the winter. I LOVE how kid friendly it is and how hands on the experience is. My kids had so much fun feeding the animals! And they have many more exhibits than underwater creatures too. I love how they had an employee walk around and give more details on the creatures as people were walking through. Super fun! The prices are reasonable too even for a non profit. We are definitely going to be coming more often!

Sarah Jones 8 months ago

Experiencia fantástica: This is such a fun little aquarium to visit! Throughout the aquarium they had lots of areas for you to interact with the animals: feeding the porcupine, iguanas, fish, stingrays. They had tortoise, tucans, macaws and so much more. Such a fun little family experience. Highly recommend!

Sarah Smoot 10 months ago

Experiencia fantástica: First time visiting with my 7, 5, and 2 year old, and they all absolutely loved it! Very interactive. Their favorite parts were the dr fish and the sand box. Reminds me of the aquarium at the Layton Hills mall.

Ava B 10 months ago

Experiencia negativa: It is dirty and underwhelming experience wise. The place is disgusting. The tanks are extremely extremely small and dirty. The animals all have scars and damage for over crowding and not enough space. If don’t have funds to properly care for an animal you shouldn’t have them. The animals look terribly unhealthy. This needs to be shut down and the animals rehoused. Animals death camp. Reading other reviews animals at concerning rates.

Adrianne Elliott 10 months ago

Experiencia fantástica: Amazing aquarium! The exhibits are entrancing and interesting, the staff is knowledgeable and always willing to answer my questions, and it's just the right size for all ages--young kids can go through quickly and have a great time, and adults can go more slowly and have a great time learning as well. I am always so impressed by the variety of creatures they showcase here. As far as pricing goes, if you think you'll go a lot, the family pass is well worth the money. I love that with the annual family pass we can go and spend 20 minutes at the aquarium, instead of feeling like I need to make the kids slow down and look at every single thing to make it seem like we're getting our money's worth (that's how I probably would feel if we were to get the single passes). I suggest you go with the intent of experiencing something new as opposed to comparing it to other aquariums you've been to before. I did that the first time and was disappointed, but now I really enjoy it every time I go because I am able to appreciate it for what it is...a great place for my children and me to look at, learn about, and interact with a large variety of creatures.

Wendy Juarez 10 months ago

Experiencia fantástica: It was nice. We bought some tokens to feed the animals and interacted with them. They even have axolotls and pejelagartos :o

Nicole Betza 11 months ago

Experiencia fantástica: By far the most interactive place I've ever been! You come for the aquatics. You stay for the macaws, iguanas and Rufus the porcupine. He was a gem. Enjoy feeding a plethora of creatures. You can even swim in the shark tank! Not my thing but it's really awesome. I really recommend the bird feeding. Seriously, one of the coolest experiences I've ever had. Can't wait to go back!

Cody Leatham 11 months ago

Experiencia positiva: Super fun place! It's so cool being able to interact with the animals without a dozen employees hovering over you telling you what to do. It really is a guide yourself experience. It's not very big, but it was worth it.

Lindy J 11 months ago

Experiencia positiva: I can get over the smells but the floor was awful. Very uneven. Not good for little and old people. Not a place I would go again. One and done.

Donna Smith 11 months ago

Experiencia negativa: Unfortunately a lot of animals have died. The stingrays all died. A lot of fish are gone. The seahorses are gone. It smells musty and is really gloomy inside. There is mold. It isn't what I would call an aquarium. We won't be back. You need to be careful where you walk as the floors are poorly maintained. It has gone downhill over the past few years. So sad.

Sarah Cellan 11 months ago

Experiencia fantástica: My girls love going to the Aquarium and looking at all the different animals. We have gone frequently since it opened and have watched the transformation the aquarium has undergone. Is it perfect? No. It is a work in progress. Experiencia fantástica: This place rocks. My kids are constantly asking to go back. Touching the string rays is always the highlight but they offer some really unique stuff here like swimming with the sharks and the sting rays! Bick Christon 1 year ago

Experiencia negativa: Over-priced. $12 admission fee. If you want to feed the animals, it is $10 for 4 non-refundable tokens. $20 dollars will get you 9 tokens. Crustacean tank consisted of a few fish and one hermit crab. There was no crab/s, no shrimp, no lobster or sea crayfish, etc. There are QR codes everywhere to provide information about the exhibits which is nice to keep people from crowding one another except one exhibit had four identical tortoises in a boat. Scanned the code to be shown a completely different tortoise. A number of exhibits were empty, and non-cashier staff (4-5) spent most of their time standing around the register socializing. Save yourself $12-$48+ to do anything better.

East Idaho Aquarium

Hello Bick. Sorry for the poor experience you had at the Aquarium. I would love to give you a tour of the place to point out some of the crustaceans that really like to hide. They are really neat little creatures but they certainly like to hide in the rocks. Thank you for inform I g us that the tortoise code is wrong. We will get that switched over. We must have spaced switching it out when we got new tortoises. Our old guys outgrew the exhibit so they went to a new home. Feel free to reach out to Arron at [email protected]

Experiencia negativa: This was a disappointing experience. Tickets were somewhat costly, then there was an additional token up charge for nearly every cool activity within the aquarium. Additionally, half the token machines to feed animals were empty during our visit. The facility was small and only took 20 minutes to get through. Not enough bang for your buck with so many other options in the area, in my opinion.

Experiencia positiva: Staff was very nice. Wonderful aquarium.

John Smith 1 year ago

Experiencia positiva: Nice little aquarium. Good place for a kids birthday party. The bird feeding experience was everyone's favorite and worth the price. However a tiny bit of fish food costs the same which seemed odd. I think they'd make more money on fish food overall if they sold it cheaper, and vice versa could charge a little bit more for the birds. Also the web site was misleading and needs to be updated, several of the experiences touted online are currently not available.

Bear R 1 year ago

Experiencia positiva: Overall I had a fun time with my first experience coming here. The area that seemed most worth the tokens to feed was the birds as you had them flying and landing all over you. The tokens everywhere else felt like a bit overpriced. $3.00 for one token, that got you two tiny shreds of food so you could feed like two fish. I would have liked there to be a bit more food in each capsule for the price, as I'd imagine if you came with a large group this would get crazy extra expensive quickly. However, I understand a lot of expenses go into running this place and that is likely part of the costs. Just come prepared to spend well beyond the admission fee if you actually want to have the fun interactions with feeding. The gift shop was surprisingly reasonable with prices. I was able to get a painting done by one of their birds for only $10 which for a gift shop seemed like a much more reasonable range than a lot of gift shops can be.

Experiencia positiva: Honestly I was disappointed with the aquarium with it being our first time going. It just looked incredibly dirty and the fish just look so sick and sad. My son had a blast looking at the birds but we didn’t see any sloths and there were no sting rays. The lady at the cash register didn’t offer tokens because “it’s been a busy day and the animals aren’t taking the food.” But when we went to walk around everyone else had tokens that had come in around the same time. Just overall I wasn’t happy with the experience but my 2 yr old just seen colors and fish and was happy so that’s why I give 3 stars.

Sorry for your disappointing visit to the Aquarium. We would love to hear more about your experience so we can improve the aquarium, as well invite you back when the rays are back and show you where the sloth lives. Please email Arron at [email protected]

But like I said, it was worth it!

Prices are merciful, especially if you buy tickets in advance online. Sand box for the little ones. Great experience.

Experiencia positiva: I’m so thankful to have a place like this in our community. I was disappointed that the place was very busy and there were no staff to be found in with any of the animals. I feel they need more people monitoring things because some parents can’t be trusted with making sure their kids do the right thing. We weren’t able to go in with the birds due to no staff and I felt like not having anyone around also put some of their animals in danger. A turtle was close to getting stepped on several times by a lot of kids because it was trying to escape. We weren’t given any instructions when we went in so we had to assume what we could touch and couldn’t touch. Also when I asked about feeding the stingrays I was looked at funny and the staff seemed confused. I repeated myself several times and the staff finally said no we couldn’t as they had eaten enough for the day (which was understandable). Some insight when we first came in would have been nice. There weren’t very many signs to explain what kind of fish we were seeing either. I just feel like what could have been an amazing visit was very chaotic. The kids liked it though so that’s all that matters.

Experiencia fantástica: This place was amazing one of the most interactive zoo/aquarium experiences I have ever been to! You are able to actually touch a lot of the fish and animals! The stingrays are so playful! One of the best experiences I have had in a long time! More than with the price of admission. They also offer great interactive experiences you can swim with sharks and chill with stingrays and all kinds of epic stuff! I cannot recommend this place enough!!

Amanda Keppner 1 year ago

Experiencia positiva: This place has a lot of potential, and I can’t wait for their growth. Most unique aquarium experience as they focus on animal interactions with the guests. They enforce sanitation for each station, which is great for humans and animals alike. Most of their habitats they have feeding stations for you to exchange tokens to feed the animals. The parakeet station is hard because you have to wait for a worker to be at the station, or else hunt for one, which can be really off putting. Some of the food dispensers are rusty and don’t give you the food, and again you have to hunt for an assistant (they always seem to be missing when you need one. My favorite part is their animal encounters you can schedule: shark dives, ray swims, or reptile holdings—we did swimming with rays, and they are the sweetest, friendliest creatures ever! I definitely and highly recommend a visit!

Experiencia fantástica: I have held a yearly pass since they opened. Kids love to go see all the fish, sharks, lizards and more. There is always new things for us to see.

Experiencia fantástica: I love this aquarium! The staff is great and I'm so glad our small part of Idaho can have an aquarium. If you have not had a chance to swim with the sharks, you should! It's amazing.

Experiencia positiva: Was fun! Took my daughter here. She enjoyed it. I wish it was a little bigger for the price. I enjoyed the talking bird, the stingrays, and the sharks. Fun.

Experiencia positiva: More than an aquarium with a lot of unexpected & fun experiences, especially the doctor fish. I definitely recommend buying tokens to feed the birds, porcupine, and alligators. We were lucky enough to see Idaho's only sloth. I gave four stars because the walkways were cramped, but to be fair we did go on a holiday.

Experiencia fantástica: Excellent little aquarium and zoo! Quite a lot of critters on display - a fantastic collection of terrestrial, aquatic, and marine organisms. Everything from fishes, reptiles, amphibians, and birds - something for everyone to see! Admission is $12 for adults, and there are optional things to do for extra fees - such as feeding or holding animals, or swimming with sharks! You could spend 1 to 4 hours in here - check it out!

Experiencia positiva: Seems like the place is going downhill a bit since opening. Overall the place is dirtier, the staff is less friendly, and understandably the animals (other than the birds and sting rays) just seem to scared to touch you.

Experiencia fantástica: My daughter loves his place. You get to touch the manta rays and they have gators sharks. They also have a sloth that navigates the ceilings of his robes. Plenty of learning experiences and great education. Love taking my daughters here. Would like to see them expand and get bigger

Experiencia fantástica: We are big fans of Seaquest (we aren’t local and they have one in SLC) and I honestly think this place is better! I came here 4 or 5 years ago and it was not the greatest, a little run down and not a ton of exhibits. It is SO much better now! Tons of animals and fun hands-on exhibits. They add a little sandbox that I had to drag my 3 year old out of. I think we paid about $20 for the two of us, totally worth it. We had a really great time and would highly recommend it to anyone!

Experiencia positiva: Nice small little aquarium with multiple hand-on exhibits. It is definitely more for kids though, and the ones I saw there were having a good time.

She got to touch some fish and sit in the bird cage (with an adult) It was absolutely fun! The prices are also really good. 12 bucks a pop! The baby did get in for free!
