Experiencia fantástica: We visited ocean world and had an incredible experience. We loved seeing all the beautiful sharks, fish, and sting rays. The seals and sea lions stole the show. They are so smart and put on such an amazing show. We really enjoyed the whole experience and I loved that the trainers are so kind and answered all our questions. The animals seemed to be very happy and loved by all the staff. The gift shop has a lot of reasonably priced souvenirs. Definitely make a stop here if you’re thinking about going! I can’t wait to come back again.

Experiencia fantástica: This is STILL one of our favorite attractions in Crescent City. The tour is pretty awesome for the kids. You can pet a starfish and a shark. You get to see all kinds of underwater life and at the end, you get a show from their seals/sea lions. It's always a fun time. The tour guides are fun and knowledgeable. The whole thing takes maybe like 30-45 minutes.

Experiencia negativa: I am temporarily in a wheelchair due to an accident. Everywhere I’ve gone in this trip, shops and clerks have been awesome to offer help and accommodations. That was until I entered this gift shop! Not only was it impossible for me to navigate around the store due to narrow aisles, two different clerks were sitting in the floor stocking shelves on the aisles I could navigate. Both saw me! Both ignored me trying to get through. After I managed to get through the store, all of the clothing was up a two step platform with no ramp. Very disappointed to have to leave with nothing, but I wasn’t spending money in a place with so little disregard for disabled people.

Love the effort in helping the sea life and educate people. Gift shop had a lot of options s as well. Will stop again.

Experiencia fantástica: What a great little adventure! I stopped in with zero expectations, assuming a tiny overpriced aquarium. I was then told they only do tours, so I was a little skeptical, but wow we loved it! Every single staff member I interacted with (4 people) had a great attitude and was helpful and friendly. The price for the tour was well worth it. There weren’t a ton of aquariums, but the ones they had were well stocked with interesting creatures and fun to look at. The best parts were being able to actually touch and pick up various invertebrates, shark petting, and a little show with some well-trained harbor seals and sea lions. The tour wasn’t too long to where it dragged, but we also never felt rushed. Plenty of cute little photo ops along the way. The gift shop had a ton of souvenirs and decently priced toys for kids. Highly recommended if you’re driving through and looking for an hour or two stop to stretch the legs.

Experiencia positiva: What a fun little aquarium! We took the full tour where you're able to hold and feel strange sea creatures. Then you go underground to their panoramic aquarium where we watched a diversity of animals and learned surprising facts about them from our tour guide, Taylor, who made the tour really fun for everyone. We also petted a shark and watched an exiting performance by the seals and sealions! I bought a really cute redwoods hoodie from the giftshop and loved the souvenir stickers. The only thing I'd suggest is that they declutter a little, and I think that taking out or replacing some of the old crispy pirates that are hanging around randomly, could really remove the dringe.

Experiencia fantástica: Really enjoyed this for a small aquarium. It is a bit pricey for a short tour, but it was nice to see all the local fish and marine life. Our guide was great. We weren't expecting a show with a harbour seal and a sea lion for such a small place! You also get to pet a leopard shark.

Experiencia fantástica: Timed, guided tours mean there aren't a lot of people pushing in to get a view. While there weren't a lot of specimens, it was still a nice little aquarium. The touch tank was one of the better ones I've been to, even allowing you to pick up anything on a shell. The seal/sea lions shows had humor and gravity defying tricks. Our shark loving daughter was so excited to get to pet the shark!! Tip: Check the website for a printable coupon!

Experiencia fantástica: This was a great spur of the moment place to visit. There is a huge gift shop that has something for everyone. The tour was great with the guide being very knowledgable and informative. There is a tank where you can pet a starfish which was cool. Wide variety of fish, manta rays, and sharks to be seen. Getting to pet a shark...( a small leopard shark) was a cool experience as well. The sea lion show with Wyatt and Korra was very entertaining as well. Fun place for all ages.

Gift shop was amazing as well, plenty of choices for reasonable prices.

Experiencia negativa: Go for the fish be aware of the gift shop! I took my grand daughter to look around a buy a few souvenirs to take to my friend's and family. I don't know what the problem is but I caught wrong charges and got charged for things I didn't buy, it's even harder to tell what it was for being there's no specific names, misc or jewelry... how convenient to over charge or charge as they please. My suggestion keep a good eye on the chasers and your recipes, count all your charges!!

Experiencia fantástica: Stuck in town on a road trip due to accident with downed tree last night. Saw this aquarium walking past to get supplies and decided to check it out. Was very surprised at the quality of this aquarium, way above expectations. Admission is reasonable too. Would definitely recommend stopping to see this aquarium.

Experiencia fantástica: We have an ocean and marine animal lover in the family and he was excited to visit Ocean World again. We arrived just in time to get the first tour of the day. It was a very fun tour and the tour guide was very funny and knowledgeable about the animals and their habitat. I definitely learned some new things from the visit. The animals seemed healthy and very content and are well taken care of. The Sea Lions were very adorable and interactive and happy to show off their skills for some fish. I'm still amazed at how much they can eat! It also rained alot the day we were there and that just made it even more enjoyable. When you're done touring, you can enjoy the gift shop and find some really nice ocean themed sourvenirs. Thank you for a great tour and for all that you do to help save animals that would be a great risk if they were left in the wild in less than favorable condition.

We got to pet starfish, a shark, and we got to see some beautiful aquatic life as well as some seals. The staff were amazing and very informative and helpful. It was a great experience and the gift shop has a lot of great options.

I'm sorry I don't remember your name!), charismatic, full of great information, and handled my husband's detailed questions with aplomb. One of the highlights of the trip for all of us, especially the kids. Petting sharks was completely awesome, Cora the sea lion was a star, and I'm so impressed our guide was both a guide and a trainer!

Experiencia fantástica: I want to add to my review after reading so many of these rude reviews- I have worked in reef restoration, been a diver for 20 yrs and this is one of the nicest private Aquariums. The seals were so excited to play they didn't even want the fish, they enjoyed the play of the show. As well, when they didn't want to perform they were not pushed by the guide. If you don't think they are doing enough for these rescued animals then donate! Money helps more than bad reviews... *Wow!!!! The animals are so well cared for and look happy. The guide was fun, engaging and highly knowledgeable. We had gone to the Monterey Aquarium the week before and Ocean World was WAY better! We bought a lot of souvenirs bc they were a great price and we wanted to contribute more funds to the Aquarium. The admission is so litte, and it can't be cheap taking such good care of all these animals. The seals and sea lions look so happy. Definitely recommend!!

Experiencia fantástica: Surprisingly nice place in Crescent city. Not your traditional aquarium. It is a guided tour format which takes about 45 minutes for full tour. Reasonable price as well. The tour starts with tide pools to touch the star fish and anemones. Later to the large aquarium with leopard sharks , bat rays and seals. The shark petting area is interesting as well. Best part was sea lion area where they were trained to perform certain acts. Totally enjoyable and walkable by people of all ages. The gift shop has some interesting souvenirs. Plenty parking outside and clean restrooms available. Worth a stop when around Redwoods.

Experiencia negativa: Tanks were dirty and obscured views of the animals. Too many animals per tank. The ‘touching’ aspect of the tour doesn’t take into account animal welfare with some animals in the tide pool showing injuries from previous guests. The ‘petting’ shark sits in an empty pool for 3 days before it gets rotated out. The seal and lion pool was too small for the number of animals, and the sea lions had some inflamed eyes from the grime. Was rushed through the tour without any time to really look at anything either. Didn’t learn ANYTHING from the tour itself. NOT ADA accessible. Felt cheap, tacky and dirty. Disappointed in myself for going. Cora, the sea lion, had an impressive group of learned behaviors and that was pleasant to see. Pity such an intelligent group of animals has to live in such a small aquarium. You get what you pay for! :)

Experiencia fantástica: A quaint little aquarium experience. They have a four part tour: the first part includes a photo opportunity and a touch and feel tide pool experience. The second part includes a walk downstairs ( there is not an elevator) to the underground aquarium viewing experience. Then, back upstairs to the shark petting portion with another photo opportunity. Last, we walk outside to a covered walkway surrounding a pool where the seals and sea lions give a spectacular performance. All in all, the tour was about 45 minutes. It begins and ends in their gift shop, which is full of fun treasures.

Experiencia positiva: It's a nice little tour through the aquarium and the seal show is terrific. My kids absolutely love it. The gift shop is full of trinkets. The only things I wish could be different is that there is no reasonable access to physically disabled people. They do offer a screen to watch the tour from upstairs but it's not the same as in person. Also they kind of rush you through a little too quick. It would be great to have more free access to enjoy just watching the fish and seal lions at leisure. Admission price isn't bad at all though, so it's worth it as long as you're able to walk down fairly steep stairs. There are ample photo ops throughout the whole aquarium. You also get to pet a shark.

Experiencia fantástica: Ocean world is a experience with full of treasure and trinkets. It’s a family must see especially in this small area it’s a must do ! We entered this amazing ocean up surfing a wave and riding a jet ski on the ocean. Then the adventure took place on a tour with pirates and orcas and getting to visit little tide pools and feeling and touching these amazing sea creatures . From there getting to pet a very friendly pet shark who definitely wanted the attention and pets . To travel to sea lions perform and have a fun time with us . Very interesting and informative must do with the family .

We had the chance to pet starfish, play with sea urchins, and can you believe it, we even had the opportunity to pet sharks! It was such an exhilarating experience. The entire place was filled with plenty of photo-worthy moments, and we made sure to capture every single one. The gift shop was also great, offering a wide range of souvenirs and memorabilia. What really impressed us was how friendly and welcoming everyone was. The atmosphere was so enjoyable, and the facility itself was spotlessly clean. Finding Ocean World was a breeze, as it's conveniently located just off the main road. Trust me, it's a must-visit when you're in Crescent City.
