Experiencia positiva: We visited this aquarium while we were on vacation celebrating our anniversary. It was super cute but I will say that the price was a little too expensive for the experience. It is cool if you have kids with you but we thought the venue was kind of small. We were finished going through the aquarium in about 35 minutes. The staff was very nice and the aquarium was clean. I would definitely suggest buying tickets when they have some kind of sale on them.

Great exhibits and things to entertain all ages. We also did the Research Center Tour which was very interesting and informative. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly.

But we didn't go there for the snacks. The staff was friendly throughout the aquarium. Would definitely go again!

Really loved the penguins and sloths. Must see if you're in the Myrtle Beach area! A+ staff and lots of interactive stuff to do also! Worth every penny of admission!

Unfortunately missed all the shows, but after 5pm 30% off which is fair as you miss some of the experience. Make sure you mention that 30% off when you buy your tickets. The staff is friendly and there are so many great things to see! Especially loved the sharks and penguins exhibit! A must see in Myrtle Beach!

Experiencia fantástica: This place has so much to offer! Prices are reasonable, $30-$40 per person. Tons of exhibits to look at and the shows are very interesting. Takes about 3 or 4 hours to really go thru everything but there are bathrooms in multiple places and also a restaurant for food and even a donut vendor. Parking is free. There's also lots of things within walking distance of Ripleys like shops and nice restaurants like Paula Deen, Joe's crab shack, a nice Brazilian steak house and more. Would highly recommend this place for anyone looking to spend the day with family and friends.

Experiencia fantástica: I took my kids to the aquarium. I went with my 6 and 1 year old. We all had a great time. I'm so thankful that they offer sensory friendly time. It really ensured things went smoothly. My favorites are still the stingrays and the shark tunnel. My kids liked everything. We learned a lot. The person cleaning one of the tanks was playing with my kids through the glass. The staff was very kind.

Experiencia fantástica: It is best to go in the morning or late evening. By 1030 a.m., the number of kids on a summer weekday is overwhelming. The place is amazingly clean. The sloths are fed in the morning but aren't active until late in the night. There are several places for family photos. Make sure and get there for one of the penguin feedings. They are cute. You so have to exit through the gift shop, so be prepared for that if you have kids.

Experiencia positiva: It was a wonderful little adventure for my son. I just wish it was larger. However, it was a good 2 hours to go through everything and he loved being able to pet the stingrays! The mermaid show was cute as well! Find a coupon to use the retail prices are stupid high.

Experiencia positiva: The aquarium was small but packed full of things to see. We paid for swimming with the sting rays it was fun but really short. Luckily they provided showers for afterwards as we were a bit fishy smelling afterwards. I did think it would be in a private area but it was in the aquariums sting ray public viewing area. Also would have liked it if someone from the aquarium would have been able to take a photo of our family in the pool with stingrays for the cost of the tickets.

Experiencia fantástica: I bought tickets in advance, and we were able to go right in. My parents bought tickets on site last year and also went right in. So, the scope of services and efficiency is on point here! This aquarium is smaller than most I've been to, so it's a bit underwhelming and very quick to go through when it's just adults. I definitely see this being more of a kid-friendly, family atmosphere - which is absolutely fine and lovely! We still had a great time, it just didn't take long to go through. We were lucky enough to be there when they conducted the penguin parade and it was the cutest thing on the planet. Who knew watching penguins waddle through an aquarium would make an adult's day!!!

I would recommend going during the week when it was probably less busy then on a weekend. The exhibits are great and good for the whole family. Our favorite part was the moving walkway tunnel.

Experiencia negativa: It was very overpriced for what you are getting to see. It is almost 50 dollars a person with tax, to only spend about an hour (at a slow pace) in the aquarium. Great for kids and I would say it's a good price for the kids, there are lots of tunnels underwater for them and a playground. If you want your little ones to have a fun time it's great, but if you're looking to see some cool animals as an adult it's very much underwhelming with only 4 small areas to see animals.

They have a penguin exhibit ,which was cute. Also they have a small section with sloths, which was also neat. They have a sting ray tank that you can touch the sting rays.

Experiencia positiva: I absolutely love aquariums and this one is among the good ones. I love how everything is separated so the noise isn't obtrusivly loud from all the people. Having it divided up is a great plan and you can really appreciate the particular species your looking at. Now for the only negative thing I have to say about the entire aquarium- they offer a touch tank for moon jellies that are clearly being hurt. Their tops are torn and half can't swim right. There were even dead ones in there. I understand being interactive, however a jellyfish is not the creature to do it with. Please reconsider this exhibit.

Loved the sharks with the slow moving conveyor that brings you around the whole exhibit so you can see all of the sharks and fish. Kids loved being able to touch the stingrays, starfish, and jellyfish. Decent price... Definitely get the combo pass to save a little money

Experiencia fantástica: The aquarium doesn't look very big but once you're inside it has 3-4 floors. It has 2 different play areas that blew my kids mind, an arch that had several species of sharks and fish, and we caught the manta ray feeding. Emily was the diver. She stayed after the show to give kids a high five. The staff was very nice. The gift shop had some affordable souvenirs. I have 4 kids so I was able to get everyone something they liked. The cons: we booked a glass boat tour and the boat was down. Although I was disappointed, their refunded posted pretty quickly (within 48 hours). We stayed for the penguin parade...it was sad. It was 2 penguin in a glass box...very disappointing. I still have 5 stars because the penguins were very social and their exhibit was very entertaining. It had glass tubes to climb under and a portion to stand up and feel like you're inside the exhibit

Last year we got to see a mermaid show, she swam with stingrays. It's always clean and nice. It's so beautiful. Me and the kids love it.

Experiencia fantástica: The underwater glass tunnel viewing area is the main attraction and best saved for last. Seeing sharks and sea turtles swimming all around you is awe inspiring. Stingray exhibit is also very cool. For these alone it's well worth the price of admission.

Experiencia fantástica: We went to 3 of the other Ripley's amusements in Myrtle Beach and the Aquarium by far is the favorite of our family. We went through the entire aquarium twice! No matter how slow you go, you see/read something new each time. It definitely left a lasting impression on us. Also, once you're done there is so much to do outside along the boardwalk behind Ripley's so it saves a drive looking around for entertainment.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been to Ripleys many times, but I am just now reviewing it. As a local, I much prefer going in the off-season or right at 9 am to beat the crowds. By mid-day during tourist season, it can be downright uncomfortable inside. This is a really nice aquarium for its size. The shark tunnel is really well done! The ray touch tank is a great addition. There are lots of play areas for young kids inside. The gift shop has a wide array of things to purchase. Parking is plentiful. It can be pretty pricey. They do have a nice local and military discount. There are plenty of places for photo ops in and outside. Bathrooms are clean. Small cafeteria inside and a great little donut cart that makes bags of delicious hot mini donuts!! Hand sanitizer is offered in many places which is great. This is a must do activity when visiting myrtle beach in my opinion.

There are displays and interactive exhibits for kids of all ages, and plenty to keep adults interested as well. Whether you're interested in marine biology, or just want to spend an afternoon making funny faces at sharks, this is the place to go!

There are so many more hands on attractions now, and you can really tell the employees love working with the animals. The multi-pass to get into other Ripley's attractions is a great deal.

Surprisingly very affordable, although we greatly benefited from a Mother's Day special price and discounts from local guides books. Well designed layout with so much to see for a smaller sized facility. Kids love the penguins, sloths, and vast and rare variety of aquatic life.

Personal favorite is the tunnel with the conveyor belt which immerses you in the aquarium. I also liked seeing the penguins painting with their feet! The amount of fun my family had here was completely worth it! I would do it again in a heartbeat. There are so many things to see and to do. We spent so much time here. You could honestly make an entire day out of it if you wanted to. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. Nobody ever seemed like they were having a bad day or wanted to rush people out. They were fantastic. I know spending all day with kids and tourists can be exhausting. You would never know it with the staff here! Definitely come here if you are even a little hesitant!

Experiencia fantástica: It was my daughter and I's first time visiting the Ripley's Aquarium. My husband had already been before as a kid, but found that a lot of it had changed (for the better). Each exhibit was informative, interesting, and fun to check out. Our family liked the section that allowed us to stand on a conveyor belt, which took us around the Shark area. I would highly recommend Ripley's Aquarium to others and can see our family visiting again in the future.

Experiencia fantástica: My husband & I took my daughter, son-in-law & 2 of our grandkids here. We really loved it! The way it is set up you can just go to the different exhibits as you choose, spend as much time as you like at any of the exhibits & being able to go under the large fish tank through a tunnel & kids or small people can go inside the penguin exhibit through a tunnel, made for a fantastic experience. We paid $10 extra to ride on the glass bottom boat, which was really cool. The sharks & fish are much bigger than they appear when you are in the tunnel. Worth the money & time while you are visiting Myrtle Beach. We'll visit it again if we are in Myrtle Beach again.

Experiencia fantástica: Really good aquarium with a wide variety of sea life. The shark display and the interactive ray tank were the highlights for our kids. The enjoyed the tactile experience of petting the rays as they glided past. There are also penguins and a sloth display but when we went the sloths were catching a nap in the tree so we didn’t get to see much of them.

Experiencia fantástica: My kids loved it !!!! We visited during the week . Looks like the school took a field trip that same day so it was really busy!!!! The line to get in was very long but it was moving really fast . It doesn’t matter if you buy your ticket online or at the spot because the lines for the ticket were not long and they had multiple lines to purchase tickets . For breast feeding mamas there is a nursing room for you to change your baby and to nurse ! There is a lot of hands on things for the kids to do while walking through the aquarium . Someplace inside to get something to eat! Their donuts are so good but I would skip the cinnamon because it was so much it made it so sweet . But it was a beautiful experience

It was a great experience for the kiddos and us parents. The feel experience with the sting rays and jellies were a hit! Beautiful creatures in nice exhibits.

Experiencia fantástica: We went on a Wednesday and did Penguin encounter. It was great to see and learn all about them. You sit in a half circle and they bring in one Penguin. Elton walked around and ate fish. You can take pics/video. Then one at a time while he’s in his wagon you can pet him. It lasted 30 min. Then we walked around aquarium. Loved shark tunnel and sting ray tank. We snacked on donuts that were delicious.

Experiencia positiva: While on vacation, we decided to head to MB to go to the aquarium. It has been remodeled since we were last there. I have to say, we were all a bit disappointed. It's smaller, and not nearly as much to see as there use to be. It didn't take us long before we done going through it. For the $40 per ticket price, I thought there would be more bang for my buck....nope! Unfortunately, if you have a few people in your family, it's an expensive way to spend an hour! Lol, wish I had that money back!
