Experiencia negativa: I came by the other day looking for a male betta fish, and they very clearly only had females. I asked the staff if they had any males and he pointed at a clear female. He didn’t have any knowledge on them. The fish were to overpriced and looked at the end of their life. He did not handle the fish with care he stuck his hand in moved everything around and was pouring the fish in the bag carelessly. He was not caring for the fish at all.

Experiencia negativa: 1 star - location TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE customer service, i went for some advice and to buy some chemicals that they dont have besides the fella on site was on the phone all the time while "offering" his customer service , so you dont know if talking to you or whoever is on the phone with him, really terrible customer service. The place is very messy and overprice , they dont have too much stock to offer Thanks , for the reply but i went to the shop, I have never call and sorry no idea what are talking about on your response , I just share my bad experiencie that is all, that your junior staff was on the phone talking with the boss i think and hardly offering a service

I made a purchase for of 8 fish that i have been in s earch of for a very long time and the legend Bas (sorry if incorrect spelling, leave a reply and i will edit) went above and beyond to have these fish bagged, packed and airport to airport shipped all the way to central QLD for me. Top quality fish, top quality service and a very positive experience. I will definitely be back if i ever need anything hard to find in the future. Cheers legends!

Experiencia negativa: BEWARE I purchased over $70 of fish to find they started dying one by one. I did a water test and sent to the owner and he said there was no issue with my water. A lot of my old fish died and when I asked about his replacement fish policy the owner didn’t want to know. Its so sad that business like this operate as I can’t buy from a business that does not take responsibility for its fish. It’s absolutely cruel.

Experiencia negativa: First impression of the fish store was really nice until I saw water all over the floor where I almost slipped and fell. I then went to look at the fish, all of which were either glass surfing, lethargic or had ich on them. After this, I went to the fish food, which had permanent marker on the expiry date. The fish were super over priced. One of the staff tried to sell me a guppy for $60, and the other made a mess of packaging the 7 fishes which I bought, 6 of which died. Do not recommend coming here super shady

Experiencia negativa: Got a beta fish here that turned out to have ich that infected my whole tank and all of my guppies! Had to buy expensive medication elsewhere. They also could not gender the fish. Would not recommend.

Experiencia negativa: The customer service was ok as well as the prices BUT, we bought two black angelfish from this place and they turned out to have Ich and died about a week apart. Unfortunately, when we figured out the problem after the first one died it was already too late to rescue the second one. Now, despite using medication, raising the temperature, adding extra salt, increasing oxygen level and everything else we have started doing, we are still worried that it might have well spread across the tank and the rest of our fish may start showing the symptoms. This place does not seem to be that mindful of the health of the fish and the tanks are not that clean. No wonder such things happen. I doubt we will ever go back. It would be too risky to introduce another disease to our tank. UPDATE: We lost another fish due to the crisis the fish we bought from this place brought us! I am just hoping that we won't lose more, given the treatment is near the end.

Experiencia positiva: I’m wondering why these reviews are from 2 months to many years old. And a number of the posts look suspiciously like they come from SCA themselves (did the guy in the wheelchair, who only keeps freshwater and tropical fish, really take 16 marine photos to post? Come on now.). Discounting out-of-date fish food seems fine to me but also ‘blacking out’ the Expiry Date is behaviour that IMO shows a dishonest nature.

The staff are very friendly and offer reliable advice and information on all aspects of fish keeping. A great range of fish are available, especially rare nano species. A huge selection of aquascaping materials, filtration, lighting, food and heaters are also on offer So if you are looking for Sydney’s best value in the aquarium hobby, Sydney City Aquarium is your one stop shop. Experiencia fantástica: I went to this aquarium today and it was the best iv'e ever been to.The staff were helpful and assisted customers with whatever they needed.The workers helped me with picking out plants that would fit my needs.One of the staff members gave me some suggestions so I decided to try it and it worked magnificently.They were extremely kind and helped navigate me to the products I needed.They were extremely thoughtful and even gave me a free set of moss.I will surely be coming back here in the future.

Experiencia fantástica: Came in the other day to have a look for some fresh water fish for our new little aquarium. There was a good range at decent prices (all marked on the fish tanks). The guy who helped me was knowledgeable & helpful in assisting me to pick out the appropriate fish that would be fine integrated together. The 5 fish I got have settled in well & are very active. Will be back to get more soon :)

The owner always takes his time to teach me about my tropical tanks needs(as I'm still learning) and is as honest as they come. Being in a wheelchair its hard to get someone who talks to me with respect and patience but I always feel welcome when I come. I now have 4 tanks in my unit. 2 fresh and 2 tropical and all look and are doing great thanks to Vas and his team. Thanks again SCA!

Experiencia negativa: Overall very poor experience I went in after asking online about mollies and guppies was given a price of $3 per fish, which I thought was a very good price so I would come by tomorrow and get them. So i dropped by to get some fish and they had barely any stock and the fish were priced at $5 per fish instead and so I thought it's not too expensive so ok. I asked for three females and was given two males and one female it was evident to me that the staff member didn't know how to gender the fish and was too afraid to ask for help. I thought this whilst in the store but he assured me that they were all female. Then when paying for the fish he charged me $6 per fish. Only once getting home did I fully realise that he had stuffed up and this soured an already semi unpleasant experience. This is disappointing because it looked like a nice store and all the reviews are very positive, however I had the complete opposite experience.
