🗣️ Tijuana Aquarium: Reviews
Fantastic experience: The museum of the Californias
Negative experience: The remaining axolotl is very clearly starving, and it is housed in the wrong conditions (for example, its tank has gravel substrate, rather than no substrate at all or a fine sand, which is a huge no because axolotls will eat the small rocks… and die from impaction. They used to have 5 axolotls. Now they have 1. That is probably why). If you want to spend money to take a look at their neglectful conditions and one starving, dying axolotl, as well as a few fish in equally horrible conditions, please, spend your money and do that. But I for one need these animals to have a better quality of life… what they are living in is CRUEL. Some fish in a literal bowl. Some with nothing but a fake plastic plant. Fish in tanks way too small for them. Hardly an “aquarium”— you can go to any corporate pet store for free and see the same animals in the same (or maybe even better!) conditions.
Fantastic experience: I recently visited the aquarium, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed. The exhibits were exceptionally well-designed, and I was particularly fascinated by the jellyfish display. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable and remarkably friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable. Honestly, I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of marine life they had. It was undoubtedly a delightful and educational visit. I would definitely recommend this aquarium to anyone looking for a truly wonderful experience.
Negative experience: This was so sad. Fish were in tiny, empty fish tanks. Some had one tiny fake plant and nothing else. Many of the fish weren't even moving. It was just depressing mistreatment of animals for a quick buck.
Fantastic experience: It also had a mini botanical garden with artifacts on history
Fantastic experience: Very small but cool and worth the tiny price of admission.
Positive experience: Fun idea, but extremely small. Front to back in under 5 mins. It's best to explore the entire facility.
Positive experience: Very small, some nice fish, just when you enter and say ok this is getting good, bam, done! $7.90 for two adults and two kids, my kids liked it and well it’s economical so i’m not that mad!
Negative experience: Don't recommend, they have like 20 small fish only
Positive experience: It's nice for the cheap price but there isn't much to see
