🗣️ Blue Reef Aquarium Newquay: Reviews
Positive experience: Fantastic place. Just a shame it doesn’t have its own car park. The one nearby was full so we did what everyone else was doing, park on double yellows
Positive experience: Very tired building, and the aquarium is far from the quality of many others. Quite pricey to go in for the experience you get.
Positive experience: Nice place to visit but very small for a price they charge. 20 min and we were at the exit
Positive experience: Needs a stingray. Could have more info on the plaques.
Thanks for the review, Samuel.
Fantastic experience: Lovely visit with my son
We're glad to hear you enjoyed your visit with your son, Richard!
Positive experience: Had a nice time, but it is expensive for what it is! It cost just over £30 for 2 adults and a 2-year old (who luckily had free entry). Only took us 40 mins to walk around… if the aquarium was about twice the size then I think the price would be worth it!
Positive experience: Was a good place to visit with the kids. Nice fishes, some of them you dont usually see
Thanks for the kind review, Sohail!
Fantastic experience: Brilliant aquarium right on the beach, great for the kids and adults alike
Thanks, Joel!
Fantastic experience: Great place to visit. Amazing experience for the kids. Highly recommended.
Thanks, Roushan. We're glad to hear the kids enjoyed it!
Fantastic experience: Fantastic place to visit, bigger than it seems. Stayed for octopus talk/ feeding brilliant staff and very engaging
Thanks for the kind review, Steven!
Positive experience: Very interesting Unbelievable amount of sealife Personally I found it a bit.hot.and humid
Hi there, we're glad to hear you enjoyed your visit. With regards to the humidity we can only apologise, with the current weather and the nature of aquariums it is somewhat hard to avoid!
Positive experience: Small aquarium by Towan Beach , lower floor has octopus, crocodile and smaller fish plus a walkway under the tanks. Upper floor is for the Loggerhead Turtle tank . They let you feed the turtle , octopus , shark and fish at certain times .
Thanks for sharing these photos, Peter.
Negative experience: There's good and bad, I'll start with the bad. Price is a bit steep for size of place and in comparison to other aquariums. You can get 2 for 1 at other sites of the same company but not here for some reason! Talks spread out over day yet you have done it in 40 minutes even at a slow pace as that many people crammed in your pushed through like cattle, they should have multiple talks in each section throughout day and only allow so many in at a time to make it more enjoyable. I got to hear the octopus but couldn't see it as it was so crammed in the talk was next to useless. Too many kids(under 7)out of control running into you. Not much information to read Hasn't changed much since last went 8 year ago sadly except price gone up. The good Some lovely fish that look healthy shark tank is nice and probably main attraction, yet nobody about to ask anything so let's it down. It has a roof so keeps u dry for an hour. I wouldn't go again at it's current price, lack of info throughout and more talks.
Hi Craig, thanks for the feedback. On wet days we find that we are exceptionally busy as the people of Newquay look for a place to seek refuge from the rain. With regards to talks, we hold multiple talks throughout the day, throughout the aquarium, from 11:30am until 3:30pm. Regards.
Fantastic experience: Brilliant little Aquarium on the front. Well priced, brilliant for kids also. Loads of different aquatic animals to see and the talks by the staff are very educational. Once you pay to access, you receive a stamp so you can enter throughout the day as often as you like.
Negative experience: Do not visit if you love marine life. Awful treatment if animals, tiny enclosures, I'll and sad animals. Evil. Go snorkel off the beach instead.
Hi Freya, contrary to your diagnosis our marine life is taken care of by qualified professionals with years of experience and a passion for the oceans. With regard to our 'awful treatment', we can assure you that our wide range of wildlife is taken care of to the highest degree, ensuring a happy and healthy life while in our care. We can also assure you that our 'tiny enclosures' also happen to be the right size for all of our residents. If you wish to voice any other concerns, please do get in touch.
Fantastic experience: Great day out for the kids, and even the adults. Reasonably priced aswell kids under 3 go Free. We payed on the door and wasn't any issue. Went in the may half term was a little queue but moved quickly, buggy park inside the aquarium which was perfect for me.
Thanks for the kind review, Deana!
Fantastic experience: Looks small on the outside but has loads on the inside. The staff were lovely and the animals/fish all looked happy and clean :)
Thanks, Hazel. We will pass on your kind comments to our staff!
Fantastic experience: This place is full of different varieties of fish and other aquatic animals. The kids would love this place, though this place is not huge as in London it still worth it to visit this place, you can also shop for toys and souvenirs at the end of the exhibits. Highly recommended for the kids.
Hi Cain, thanks for the kind review. Also, thanks for sharing these photos!
Positive experience: Some interesting exhibitions and the sea turtle is amazing, but I felt it was a lot of money to spend for a fairly short experience.
Positive experience: Don't forget to rebook and pay in advance it's cheaper. I took 4 children with me. There are toilets and a place to eat.
Thanks for sharing the great pictures!
Negative experience: The worst family attraction I've ever been to. Huge queues with just one person manning the gate with no control of numbers. You could barely move inside, must have been a fire hazard. They should sell the appropriate amount of tickets, it's not rocket science. Aquarium itself was pretty awful, tiny and WAY overpriced. Felt very sorry for some of the animals in such small tanks. It's also a horrid building, a blot on the seafront with no attempt to blend in. Save your money and go somewhere else.
Hi Luke, we're sorry you feel this way. As you can imagine, the rain brings in large crowds, making it difficult to gauge how many will be visiting as most will not be pre-booking and pay on the door. With regard to your concern for our animals, they are well looked after by professionals with years of training and passion for what they do. The tanks are the correct size for the species, meaning they are perfectly happy and healthly. Couple this with their varied feeding and extensive enrichment activities, we consider them well looked after. We appreciate the busy nature of your visit is mainly the cause of your discontent, which is why we would recommend you make another visit when it is not as busy so it is easier to witness our exhibits for all their brilliance. Thanks.
Fantastic experience: A surprising little gem of a place. It is bigger than you first imagine and has some wonderful sea dwellers inside. My wife loved the 2 seahorses and the poor old turtle. I loved the black tipped sharks and lion fish, as well as the octopus. My son was amazed by the crabs, little starfish and the ugly stonefish. Something. For everyone and there are feeding times for some of the more fun residents and a talk at the main aquarium too. Try to be there for octopus lunchtime. A real treat to watch the colour changes as the food is taken in and digested.
Hi Anthony, thanks for the brilliant review! We're delighted to hear you all enjoyed your visit. Some great photos also, thanks for sharing.
Positive experience: We went to the Blue Reef Aquarium Newquay on a Tuesday as the weather was horrendous so wanted an indoor activity. Honestly it's not the best aquarium we've been to and is pretty expensive for the experience. There's not much room around the exhibits so it was really congested and difficult for our 4 year old to get a look. Even though it was rammed with people it still only took about 40mins to get around from start to finish. I would only recommend if you genuinely have nothing else to do I'm Newquay
Hi Ben, we're sorry to hear about your experience. As you can imagine, the congestion was caused by the rush as result of the poor weather, so we can only apologise for that. With regard to your comment about only visiting should nothing else be of interest, please consider coming again on a quieter day so you can get the full, and proper, experience of the aquarium.
Positive experience: Small aquarium, gets busy and is quite tight in spaces but it’s a good short trip out. Highlight is definitely omigos the turtle!
Thanks for the review, Daniel!
Positive experience: A bit expensive for such a small place, but definitely worth a visit. The underwater tunnel with sharks and a large turtle is really cool.
Hi there, we're glad to hear you enjoyed your visit. Thanks for sharing a review.
Fantastic experience: Enjoyable. Plenty to see. I especially liked the octopus and sharks
Hi Jon, thanks for the kind review! Great photo too, thanks for sharing.
Negative experience: Visited during half term and as it was raining expected queuing. That couldn't be helped. However found the whole experience depressing and the giant turtle swimming aimlessly round a bare pool moved me close to tears. The octopus tank was no better for such a beautiful and intelligent creature. Fortunately my young grandchildren did not notice anything. The adults in our group all felt very deflated after leaving. So disappointing.
Hi Lesley, we're sorry to hear about your experience. With regard to Omiros, our loggerhead sea turtle, he is blind and feels his way around the tank. We can assure you he is perfectly happy and healthy, likewise so is Calypso, our common octopus. Both of their tanks are far from 'bare' and have sufficient space, other occupants and/or engaging surroundings to keep them happy and safe. Thank you for your concern.
Negative experience: I visited the aquarium today, and I am very disappointed, massive push as many people as they could (money so important for this place, so people) people fell because you need to wait about 5-10 minutes until you could move to the other room, definitely will not back there
Hi Marcin, we're sorry to hear about your experience. As we're sure you're aware the weather caused great demand to get into the aquarium as many people looked for things to do on a rainy day.
Negative experience: Awfully busy pushing shoving, they let way way to many people in at once and a huge queue to enter. We have visited London, Portsmouth and Brighton’s blue reef and for us this was more then busy it was over crowded
Hi Jaymeanne, we're sorry to hear about your experience. Due to the school holidays and poor weather conditions, we were exceptionally busy last week causing many people to head to the aquarium throughout the day to evade the rain.
Negative experience: Awful experience here today, massive waste of £30 for a 25 min rush around. Was so hot & claustrophobic in there I was borderline having a panic attack. Couldn’t take in any of the lovely displays due to how packed in we were, queues upon queues - squashed up against the walls with people treading on our toes and huffing at our 18 month old any time we tried to stop and look. Couldn’t wait to get out of there. Granted it’s half term and maybe we went during a busier period but there ought to be a smaller capacity maximum with time slots so everybody gets to enjoy and get the most out of their experience.
Hi Bethany, we're sorry to hear about your experience. We were exceptionally busy last week, due to the weather and the school holidays, so we can only apologise for the rushed experience.
Fantastic experience: Nice little aquarium in Newquay. Some excellent displays. The large display with shark and a turtle is brilliant.
Thanks for the kind review, Ian.
Fantastic experience: Really enjoyed this place, looked quite small and run down from the outside but they've made good use of the space and packed lots in. Loads of fish and other animals to see, the turtle is especially cool.
Thanks, Scott! Some great photos here too, thanks for sharing.
Positive experience: Visited yesterday and enjoyed the experience in most part...unfortunately the staff member giving a talk at shark feeding time marred the visit....spoke too quickly and at times mumbling....hard to keep up with what he was saying...like he just wanted to get it over with....shame as we were interested in learning more about these incredible creatures
Fantastic experience: The aquarium is quite small but it's packed full of cute fish and sea creatures! The habitats are clean and spacious and the gift shop is full of cute things and the staff are nice and pleasant.
Thanks, Hylian. We will pass on your kind words to our team!
Fantastic experience: Cool experience my nephew aged 6 months was enthralled. Small and slightly expensive but to see the amazement on kids faces is lovely
Hi Fiona, we're delighted to hear you and your nephew enjoyed your visit!
Positive experience: It is a lovely little aquarium. I say little as we finished looking at everything within 30 minutes. We paid ÂŁ52 for 4 of us to get in, which I thought was a bit expensive considering the size of it. It's not a day out, it's a morning at best. I'm not sure I'd go again but it was nice to see the sea animals. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Hi Kate, thanks for your feedback. We typically find that guests spend approximately and hour with us, once they have taken in the information on offer. We also have a range of talks and feeds that take place throughout the day. Thank you for your comments on our staff, we will pass them on!
Positive experience: It wasn't too big as the ones already we have visited. The cafe is over priced and longg waiting time. Parking is difficult.
Hi Ravish, thanks for your feedback.
Fantastic experience: Great place to visit! Lots to see and is very up close and personal, something not all aquariums are able to provide. Staff are helpful and knowledgeable will be returning!
Some fantastic photos, thanks for sharing! Thank you for the kind words.
Positive experience: Really nice attraction overlooking the beach. Don’t follow the Sat Nav to the aquarium as there is no parking at the location. It doesn’t take long to walk through so don’t make it a day activity.
Thanks for visiting, Ryan!
Positive experience: Very tired looking building, the reception were kind and helpful. Considering there was a school group just arriving, the reception staff were considerably calm. A shame the place is tired and needs some TLC as the aquatic life was nice to see and learn about.
Hi Gem, we're glad to hear you enjoyed your visit to us. We will pass on your kind comments to our team.
Positive experience: Quite pricy for the size of the aquarium. However, still got some beautiful species here and certainly worth a visit if you are nearby.
Thanks for sharing these pictures, Stuart.
Positive experience: Definitely worth a visit. I'd recommend watching the feeding. We arrived around 1030 so waited for the reptile feed at 1130. My kids loved it, and had great fun listening to the keepers trying them about the animals and reading all the facts around the place. If you are in Newquay for the day, pop in first thing, then get a stamp on your hand to visit again later on in the day if you want to. The price is a little steep for an hour's visit. And I would think, if it was a few pounds cheaper more people would visit. The staff were all welcoming and happy. We will go again when we visit Newquay. There's a cafe to stairs on the way out, just pass the gift shop. All in all a great visit.
Thanks for the kind review, James. We're glad to hear your family enjoyed their visit.
Positive experience: It was okay... too small in size.. you can finish the tour in 15 minutes to be honest..i guess, pretty much, it's same all over the UK.. only, Plymouth is decent in Size.
Hi Atanu, we're sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your visit. We typically find that providing our guests stop to take in all the information on offer, along with one of our talks & feeds, they are here for approximately an hour. Please do let us know what you would change so we can rectify this.
Fantastic experience: A small but beautiful place, staff was lovely and it was nice and quiet when we went
Thanks for the kind words, Liz! Some fantastic photos too, thanks for sharing.
Positive experience: Cool little aquarium, but far too over priced. ÂŁ5-ÂŁ8 a ticket would have been fine but ÂŁ15.50 per person is a lot, only takes about half an hour from start to finish to see everything.
Hi Lewis, thanks for your feedback. Also, thanks for sharing some photos! We typically find once our visitors have taken in all the information on offer and attended one of our talks and feeds, they spend approximately an hour with us.
Fantastic experience: Really good experience. Went for the first time today, and it's a nice walk around. Interesting sea life and plenty of chances to get pictures or videos as well as information about the species.
We're delighted to hear you enjoyed your visit to us, Rebbecca! We hope to see you again soon.
Positive experience: Good visit, not a lot of staff around to help or answer questions. Quite a small place. But nice selection of fish.
Thanks for the review, Raeesa!
Positive experience: It's ok, quite pricey seeing as though it's so small. Our visit was made great due to the turtle feeding. The young man giving the talk was excellent.
Hi Kathryn, we're delighted to hear you enjoyed our turtle talk. We'll pass on your kind comments to Owen!
Negative experience: 26 quid for my 4 year old son and myself ... 6 tanks where closed for ... well I'm not sure .. 2 sharks and 1 turtle.. Massively over priced toys at the end ... It's A joke ... i live in Newquay..and I'm ashamed of what's on offer ... Don't bother ... go rock pooling ... you will have a much better and cheaper time .... Honestly it a waist of money ... take care
Hi Simon, we're sorry to hear you think this.
Positive experience: It’s around £15.00 each , the outside looks very tired but inside it is very well laid out
Thanks for coming along, Helen. Great picture too!
Fantastic experience: Great little aquarium. We loved doing a little trail, answering questions about marine animals. Watching the turtle being fed was great. All the staff were lovely and interacted with my little boy and answered all his questions. Couldn't fill a whole day here but we went round twice as we love an aquarium.
Thanks for the kind words, Kayleigh! We're delighted to hear you all enjoyed your visit to us. The photos are fantastic, also.
Positive experience: Sweet little place, clean and tidy. Happy fish which is always good. Friendly staff.
Thanks for your review Julia, I will pass on your kind words to our staff.
Positive experience: Very interesting lot's of different animals to look at, Lovely staff will talk to you about the sealife.
Positive experience: Interesting place but a little disappointed, as marine talk advertised at 3.30pm, but never happened. We did arrive latish on New Years day (3.10pm) and closing was 5pm. The first greeting on entering wasn't very friendly and welcoming. The place does seem a little tired.
Hi Barry, thanks for coming along! With regard to the 3:30PM marine talk, we can confirm that this talk did take place at the designated time. It is possible you may have been waiting in the wrong area of the aquarium as the Ocean section where the talk took place was very busy.
Positive experience: Aquarium next to the beach. No parking and down steps or steep slope, so not easy for the disabled. We went off season this year, which was good as there was more room to enjoy the exhibits. The staff are friendly and there's lots of interest to see. The octopus, sharks and turtle are the highlights. There's a basic cafe available.
Thanks for the review, Stephen. With regard to the parking situation, we have a very small & limited car park for disabled visitors who can reserve a space in front of the aquarium so long as they can provide proof of blue badge! This cuts out any trouble navigating the steps or the slope of Beach Road.
Fantastic experience: Fantastic day out, plenty of sea life on show. I recommend booking in advance as it was rather busy for an off peak weekday, will definitely return
Thanks for the kind review, Josh! Some fantastic images in here too.
Fantastic experience: We went out of season so it was not too busy. As I am disabled we phoned Blue Reef and they explained that we could park next to them. The parking was behind a barrier and someone came out to open it - only a few steps to go inside. This would not work well in the Summer with all the people wanting to go, although a car park is not too far away. The displays were great and I loved the story of the turtles, it was very interesting to see the one at Blue Reef being looked after so well. The staff were all very helpful and courteous, especially the young man in the cafe. I was thinking that it was a shame that they didn't serve meals in the cafe but realised that with the amount of people going to Blue Reef they would not want people to stay too long and that was not the reason people came. We had a go on the grab machine where you won every time, we got 2 stuffed fish - very reasonable cost, we also got sharks teeth for our nieces, also reasonable cost. The gift shop was interesting but I felt it was slightly over priced. All in all it was a good visit and I would like to return.
Hi Christine, thanks for your wonderful review! We're delighted to hear you enjoyed your visit, we look forward to welcoming you back again in the future.
Fantastic experience: Located right on the beachfront, this is such an amazing aquarium. The exhibits are well presented, clean, and informative. However, the staff are the real stars of the show. We managed to catch the turtle feed and the gentleman was happy to explain their set up, some of the good work they are doing in the local community as well as some of the animals and their behaviours. We especially loved the incredible journey of the loggerhead turtle and how brilliant the team has been with its rehabilitation.
Thanks for such a kind review, Jack! We will pass on your comments to our staff. Some great pictures and videos here too, thanks for sharing.
Positive experience: Went here with my family, it was our child's first time, so to see her look at every colour and sights was a joy to see. We did go on a day that the area had a severe rain storm so the aquarium was more packed than usual. But it didn't take the shine off our visit. There is a place for a small number of prams to park up.
We're glad to hear you and the family enjoyed their visit to us. We hope to see you again soon.
Fantastic experience: Lovely to see all fish and other animals being so well looked after
Some fantastic photos here! Thanks for the review, Elisabete.
Positive experience: The Aquirium is a note worthy day out. Had difficulty finding a place to park but we managed. The tickets are decently priced. We went towards the evening when it was quiter so really got yo enjoy the ambience. Only downside was, unfortunately, they were doing some building work which was rather loud. But I assume nesscary. The staff were Friendly and all fish seemed healthy and happy.
Thanks for the great review, Devon. Some great pictures in here too!
Fantastic experience: Nice location. Excellent for children to explore. Only that. Ticket is a little expensive...
Thanks for the kind review, Cattleya. Thanks for including the imagery too!
Positive experience: It was good, a few things to see. Not bad at all, but a little pricey for the size of the place and the amount there is to see.
Thanks for the review, Ashley. Some great photos too. Thanks for sharing!
Fantastic experience: Parking for the aquarium is actually in the town itself, and then you have to wall down to the beach to gain access. If you are disabled there is limited parking on site. Once at the barrier to the aquarium, I rang reception, and someone came to let us in. There is a cafe on site and a gift shop. We thoroughly enjoyed visiting here. The fish were awesome to see, and there are sharks and a leather back turtle there, too. Definitely worth a visit!
Thanks for the kind review, Dominique! We hope to see you again soon!
Fantastic experience: Really nice experience Went with my wife and my 14 month old daughter and had an amazing time and even at her age she really loved it Not the biggest aquarium I've been to by a long shot but it was not crowded, well laid out and definitely worth the money
Thanks for the kind review, Astaire! We're glad to hear your daughter enjoyed her time at the aquarium. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future.
Positive experience: Makes a nice escape from the weather , plus the staff really know their business . Also this helps to rescue wildlife .
Thanks for the kind review, Mark. I will pass on your comments to our team.
Fantastic experience: Lovely man behind the counter was very friendly and clear. Nice place for a day out. Family friendly and interactive
Thanks for the kind words Harrison and the great photos! We hope to see you back at the Aquarium soon.
Positive experience: Currently on holiday in Newquay, arrived lunch time &;had time to kill before going to holiday site. Been meaning to go to Bluereef for ages & glad as a family we found time to do it on this trip. Wasn't as big as first thought but they do make the most of the space with alot of different species to see. Kids loved the giant sea turtle and the story behind it . Underwater tunnel was brilliant as well. Cafe was great to sit and relax with a drink and snack while looking over beach ⛱️. Evening went round again to witness some of the feeding times.
Hi Clive, thanks for the kind words and for sharing the fantastic images/videos! We're delighted to hear you enjoyed your visit to us. We look forward to welcoming you back at some point in the future!
Positive experience: + There is a variety of animals on display however we were not impressed with the size compared to the entrance price. It's rather small and even if you take your time to see everything after 45 minutes you've seen it all. +1 star for being one of the few aquariums that actually have live coral. !It's great that you are allowed to return on the day itself.
Hi Danny, thanks for the review and the pictures look great! With regard to time spent here, we are on the smaller size and typically find our guests spend an hour with us on average. This is before taking in one of our talks & feeds! But you are correct in saying that you are allowed to return as many times as you like during the day of visit.
Fantastic experience: We visited today, late August, and although Newquay itself was rammed this aquarium wasn’t too busy. Although quaint, I felt the admission price was worth it because you can see the animals are cared for very well, which I’m sure is not cheap! My daughter loved that the Octopus had their own climbing ladder in the tank! The star of the show for us was Omiros, the resident turtle who was rescued after being blinded after an incident with a fishing net in Greece. We got to see him being fed and listened to his story from the lady who looks after him. He sounds to be a character, and was absolutely amazing to see up close. The aquarium was clean, with lots of boards and information about the animals in the tank. The gift shop and cafe we didn’t really go in, so can’t comment but we had a great time. It is set over two floors with lift access in between, so accessibility seems very good. We parked quite far away so it was a trek down the hill but well sign posted and easy to find!
Hi Lauren, thanks for the great review! I will pass on your comments to our staff! We look forward to welcoming you back at some point in the future.
Positive experience: It was all over in literally minutes the amount you walk to get there I think we was in there for around 15 minutes kids enjoyed it but don't think for price it was worth it. When we went through the tunnel, it was so packed people sitting down was hard to struggle getting through and couldn't even get a family selfie as people was in pictures. However there was pretty good fishes
Hi Jodie, we're sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your visit. We typically find our visitors take approximately an hour to get around the aquarium when taking a moment to read all the signs. Plus, we have loads of talks & feeds that take place throughout the day which we would encourage everyone to watch when they visit us. With regard to how busy it was, we're sorry to hear it was difficult to navigate. We find when the weather takes a turn, many people turn to us for cover from the rain, causing an influx of visitors.
Fantastic experience: The Aquarium is amazing! The entrance had no time in a queue and we got straight in with no problems. The staff are lovely and are really nice. We had some food and for ÂŁ40 we got plenty of food and MORE, the margarita pizza was lovely and tasty. I couldn't ask for anything more a great day out for the family and for friends!
This is fantastic to hear, Oliver! I will pass on your kind comments onto our team.
Positive experience: Beautiful place but not big. I thought my kids would love it, but they weren't instrested they loved the shop more. Paid ÂŁ70 to have a 10 mins walk through and then another ÂŁ40 in the shop. Won't waste my money again ill just take them to the shop and cafe.
Hi Karen, we're sorry to hear the little ones didn't have the best time. We run a variety of talks & feeds throughout the day, which we'd thoroughly recommend attending as these are set up for all age groups.
Fantastic experience: Great family experience, bit of a hill climb down and up, well worth it
Hi Daz, thanks for the kind review! We're glad to hear the whole family had a good time. Some great pictures as well!
Fantastic experience: Cool little place for rainy days or for families. Most of the animals are rescues and they help and support the wildlife organizations.
Hi Cavid, thanks for the great review! The videos & images are great. We look forward to welcoming you back some time in the future!
Fantastic experience: We recently visited Blue Reef Aquarium Newquay Cornwall. We were truly captivated by the mesmerising underwater world they have created. The knowledgeable staff were passionate & eager to share their expertise, making the experience even more enriching. It's fantastic for families, couples or anyone looking to escape into the enchanting world of ocean. We bought a ticket of family of 4 for ÂŁ47 and a junior ticket for ÂŁ10.75. They are free car parking spaces available if you drive around the area.
Hi Ajmal, thanks for the kind words! These pictures & videos look great!
Fantastic experience: Great morning out with the family to an aquarium packed with a variety of sea life. The talks were very informative and great fun for the kids to see the marine life overhead as you walked through the glass tunnel. My personal favourite was the box fish.
Hi Darryn, thanks for the great review - the pictures look fantastic! We're glad to hear the whole family enjoyed their visit.
Positive experience: It’s a lovely place! Easily accessible and good value for the amount you pay. The staff are very welcoming. I do recommend!
Thanks for the kind words Bridget! Photos look great too. We look forward to welcoming you back to us soon.
Positive experience: Nice little aquarium! A little bit cramped, and needs a bit of TLC in places, but overall, an enjoyable experience!
Hi Bonnie, thanks for the kind words and for sharing the great photos! We look forward to welcoming you back in the future.
Positive experience: really nice and cool, a lot smaller than expected so for the price was expecting a lot more but other than that it was great
Hi Coralie, thanks for the kind words and for sharing the great photos! We look forward to welcoming you back in future!
Positive experience: A great place to visit, it took us around 1.5 hours to walk through, taking our time and reading the information. Looks a little tired and could do with a lick of paint but great staff and amazing fish & sea creatures. The walk through tunnel is amazing and my daughters loved it. A great place to sit for a few minutes and just watch. Great little shop at the end with a good price range of gifts.
Thanks for the great review James! We're glad you and the family enjoyed your visit. We look forward to welcoming you back again in the future!
Fantastic experience: Had a lovely time in the aquarium and learned so much, the octopus talk was especially educational and really well presented
Thanks for the kind words, Lewis! Some great pictures there too!
Fantastic experience: Got tickets online for ÂŁ23 for a family of 4 kids absolutely loved it definitely worth a visit, only small but still has lots of sea animals for the young ones to look at
Thanks for coming along Tommy! We're glad to hear you and the family enjoyed your time with us.
Fantastic experience: It's not so big or too much to see, but when you are in the area and you want something to do on a not very friendly weather, it is nice to spend your time there watching the sea life.
Thanks for visiting Oana! The pictures look great.
Positive experience: Not a large aquarium but the variety in it is plenty satisfactory enough. Very much enjoyed. Tickets cheaper in advance and can get 10% off
Hi Jack, we're glad you enjoyed your visit! We regularly run promotions throughout the holidays with our prices the same regardless of the day. Always keep an eye out for our discounts though, as these sell out quick!
Fantastic experience: Visited the week before half term, do it's very quiet. This was great, because we didn't feel like we had to move quickly around the building. We visited with a mobility scooter which was very well catered for throughout the place. Was surprised at how much variety of fish is actually here - it was a fabulous visit and well worth a couple of hours on a dull Cornwall day
Hi Terri, thanks for your lovely review. We're delighted to hear you enjoyed your recent visit to us. We hope to see you again soon!
Positive experience: Tired and sad in places, wonder if it'll last? The fish are well looked after and displays good. Yeas there's sharks and a turtle
Positive experience: Was a great visit due to bad weather, however I felt the tickets were slightly overpriced for the length and quantity of things to see. I would have bought things from the gift shop if the admissions were cheaper.
Fantastic experience: Happened to walk past so thought why not check it out nearly ÂŁ15 entry honestly after going round I thought it was a little pricy for what you get to see but was still nice loved looking at all the marine life and reading all the facts, you also get a stamp to come back anytime thought the day!
Thanks for popping in Kay! Some great pictures you've taken.
Positive experience: Enjoyed a morning at the aquarium. It's not massive but worth visiting just for the tunnel beneath the tank. Reasonably priced and with an all day access you can visit multiple times a day for the feeds
Great to hear you enjoyed your visit to us, Mike!
Fantastic experience: A welcome stop on the rain, a bit pricey for the size of it but appreciate it needs money to keep running, enjoyed our visit.
Hi Stacey, thanks for coming to visit! We're glad you enjoyed your time with us.
Positive experience: There is a big selection of aquatic life which is cool however a lack of close parking and a dull and gloomy environment set-up detracts from the experience
Fantastic experience: Took a grandchild there & we had a great time, he loved seeing the turtle being fed & all the staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. I'll be back with more of my grandchildren.
Positive experience: Bigger than you think. Friendly helpful staff Well stocked shop but give the cafe a miss expensive and not much on offer and staff didn't seem to bothered to help.
Fantastic experience: A very informative talk about the sealife mammals. A great array of sea creatures too. Really worth a visit, with a superb view outside the aquarium of the coast. There is a cafe there too.
Fantastic experience: Looks a bit tired from the outside and could do with some work to bring it up…….but……. Please don’t let that put you off. We had the most amazing experience and the staff are a credit to the aquarium. When we walked in the gentleman at the counter was so nice and straight away pointed us to the baby sting ray. The aquarium throughout is stunning and very well kept. We watched the feeding in the big tank and had some questions about the turtle and the lovely member of staff chatted to us for about 20 minutes and answering all our questions. Best aquarium we have been to. Would 100% recommend.
Thank you for your kind review Ms Phantom. We look forward to welcoming you back soon.
Fantastic experience: Hadn't visited in many years. Decided to check it out on a stormy day just after Christmas. Very impressed with the displays given the size of the venue. Glad to see the place still running and providing conservation and education on our natural world at a very important time.
Fantastic experience: Looks awful from the outside, but pleasantly surprised once inside, took our 3 year old grandson who loved it there.
Fantastic experience: Cracking small aquarium that has a fantastic selection of fish and other creatures. Don't be fooled by the outside, once you're in, it is a great place with a good variety of species. This is far from the biggest aquarium we've been to but that certainly pack in bang for buck. The underwater tunnel and large tank with sharks and a loggerhead turtle is brilliant.
Glad you enjoyed your visit Sean & thank you for the kind review.
Negative experience: We went to the Aquarium to kill a couple of hours during a wet weekday. I'm sure the animals are well cared for and they all looked healthy. The same cannot be said for the facilities however as it all looked tired and rundown. The chap on the desk also had the personality of a wooden spoon. It was interesting and informative but wasn't great value for money.
