🗣️ Discovery World's Reiman Aquarium: Reviews
Negative experience: Definitely not worth 24 dollars a person
Positive experience: The sturgeon touch experience is closed while the new sturgeon adapt to the tank, and the tunnel is also closed for upgrades. We visited just for the Aquarium experience, it took us about 30 minutes to walk thru.
Positive experience: Nice place, not like many other aquariums I have been to. They don't have sharks or many ocean fish but it's still a nice place to visit with the littles.
Fantastic experience: my son constantly asks to go back to this place. i had a blast with him. lots and lots of stuff to do and see. will be back
Positive experience: It was OK. Parking was a joke, seriously. Went "good friday" Parking lot attendant had a full parking garage yet still had people pulling in to drive around aimlessly looking for a place to park. $20 to park in garage. Otherwise the business next door will also charge $20 to park in their lot. And the whole street around the area has "no parking" signs everywhere and the ticket for parking there is $35 (ask me how I know) but literally it was the ONLY place to park within a half mile of the place. No real reason for the "no parking" on the street other then to make milwaukee money with tickets, being the predators police are they love that revenue for b.s. laws that are in place for no other reason then to generate revenue for the state. Got inside and it's $25 per person or $20 for a kid. Cool place with neat things to see and learn about. Half the buttons your supposed to press to see what happens DO NOT WORK, or work very poorly. Example: press a button to show how water is shed off the land during a rain event, the button turns on the water but the water barely trickles out and does not go down the slope like it should making their display 100% useless because its not flowing water like it should to create the effect.... The ship hanging from the ceiling was cool but cramped inside, kid loved it though. Fish pet area the water was deep so smaller kids 5yo or younger have zero chance of touching a stingray or sturgeon, yet it's "for kids" gift shop was overpriced like they usually are and my kid got a $25 stuffed animal. 2adults +1 child= $70 parking/parking ticket $35, stuffed animal $25. Spent $130 to go for a family of 3. It was OK but VERY busy. Most irritating part was the lack of parking and driving around for a half hour looking for a spot that was open, even though it was in a no parking spot it was the only option. I would recommend going early or on a less busy day. We went at 2pm on a holiday "good friday".
Negative experience: This is a very small exhibit. The fish are carps, bass, and other common varieties. Save your time. Shouldn't be called an aquarium. Display tank at bass pro has about the same variety.
Fantastic experience: Cool fish but what is that?
Fantastic experience: We had a good time with kids. Highly recommended
Fantastic experience: Great place for the whole family to visit. Lots of stuff to learn or to refresh knowledge as well to entertain. Currently the cafeteria/restaurant is not open, however a lunch bag can be taken and eaten… there are a couple of tables and chairs at the entrance, right after the check-in booth.
Fantastic experience: We had a lot of fun here great time with our whole family
Positive experience: Aquarium was small but the discovery center was nice
Fantastic experience: Truman Aquarium is a great spot to take the family and is connected to Discovery World. It’s a smaller aquarium than those in larger cities and it’s still a fun place for the kids to explore and learn about the freshwater eco system. The life size ship is also a really great piece for everyone to explore and enjoy. Check it out!
Fantastic experience: A lot of fun! The parking was a bit messy because the parking garage wasn't opening, but a lot better than what we're used to in Chicago. My son had fun exploring the exhibits but really came for the aquarium. He loved how many animals he saw; the layout was great, and he was even able to attempt to pet a stingray and sturgeon.
Fantastic experience: Good place to bring your kids. A lot of small activities for the kids
Fantastic experience: Cool place! We wish there was a little more to do, we were here for about 45 minutes from the time we parked until we left, and we did pretty much everything.
Negative experience: Infiltrated by and partially run by at least 1 Marxist.
Positive experience: 20 bucks to walk around meh. It was nice but chicago was better
Fantastic experience: The family was very entertained for a few hours, and everyone learned something.
Negative experience: Came from 90 mins to leave very disappointed. Half the place is closed off and we were still charged the full amount. Not worth the $20 admission.
Negative experience: Came all the way from Richmond with my family to visit Milwaukee and check out this aquarium. Half the place is closed off and the staff was rude. Not worth the time! My 3 year old daughter was very disappointed.
Positive experience: The Aquarium is one of my favorite parts of Discovery World!
Fantastic experience: Kids &I had alot of fun .
Fantastic experience: The aquarium was awesome, it is somewhat small but the whole Discovery Zone is fun.
Fantastic experience: Loved the aquarium wish it was bigger
Negative experience: Very Small Aquarium! Not worth the money!
Positive experience: The aquarium was great we got a discount because we came at 3, if you dont come at about 3 a family of 6 would be roughly 100 bucks and it's not worth it considering there is nothing great about the place but the aquarium
Fantastic experience: Fun place to go with the family
Fantastic experience: Fun for the kids
Positive experience: Some of the exibits, we're closed for construction
Fantastic experience: Awsome, this was a great place to visit. Highly recommend for kids.
Fantastic experience: It will is so cool and it is very child friendly.
Fantastic experience: Visited from Michigan and had a great experience! Our daughter loved seeing everything and the place flowed very well. Easy to walk and keep occupied.
Fantastic experience: Not a huge aquarium, but some interesting fish none the less. Also, the kids really enjoyed the "touch tanks" where they could feel a few different aquatic creatures.
Positive experience: Not worth the cost in my opinion. The aquarium portion was substantially smaller that I expected. I will not go back again.
Fantastic experience: The Reiman Aquarium is fascinating! Love the Great Lakes representation! All of Discovery World is a treasure trove of learning for all ages!
Fantastic experience: Love to spend time with the family their
Fantastic experience: Our grandsons look forward to Discovery World every Spring Break. Glad to see some new exhibits this year.
Fantastic experience: We have had a wonderful time visiting. We have five children, and it was one dollar more to get the family membership for a year vs only one visit, so we opted for that. We just made our second visit, and it was just as fun for the kids. The staff are friendly and very understanding with all the kids. It was amazing that when the school groups left, it was like no one was there. Both times, we have stayed until closing time and the kids slept all the way back home.
Fantastic experience: The best aquarium in milwaukee that I know of. Lots to see and learn about fish and our great lakes and the water cycle.
Fantastic experience: Wonderful surprise. Great STEM museum for many ages. Beautiful building. Spent all day there and kids didn't want to leave.
Fantastic experience: Great price and great place for the kids
Fantastic experience: Wonderful exhibit at Discovery World. You must purchase a Discovery World ticket to enter. There are many varieties of sea life as well as creative exhibits like the tunnel where the fish can swim above and beside you, or the stingray/sturgeon petting area.
Fantastic experience: The staff does an excellent job of keeping the tanks clean! Our kids had such a fun time. We loved how educational and fun the whole place is.
Fantastic experience: Interesting place, enjoyed the trip
Fantastic experience: Good for the whole family.
Positive experience: Very cool aquarium since it has a tunnel that has the overhead tank but it is a very small aquarium. On a crowded day it leaves very little space to move around. Exhibit halls are narrow which can be hard of your in a wheelchair or using a child carriage. The touch tank was cool. Kids really enjoyed that. My main complaint is the café and paid parking, is too small for the amount of people that visit. The café is not equipped to handle the amount of visitors. No food was ready. Lines were ridiculous. Waiting times for food was worse. Barely no seating. Who designed that?
Fantastic experience: The kids absolutely loved petting the aquatic life!
Fantastic experience: Went into Discovery World expecting a simple setup, was pleasantly surprised to find lovely staff, beautiful aquariums, and a fun atmosphere!
Fantastic experience: Loved the set up esp the elevator and the ramps with the fish underneath
Fantastic experience: The great lakes simulator is awesome. Great venue for a reception.
Positive experience: The single cost of admission for our family was enough for us to just go ahead and buy the membership. It's very small and not that great of an aquarium. We go through it fairly quickly and follow up with the Technology museum. The reciprocal admission and high cost of single admission is the only reason we purchased membership. My advice, go to a bigger aquarium that has more to offer. The cost here is too expensive for what they offer.
Negative experience: Is very nice for children but if you have been to larger aquariums not much fun. It’s mostly local fish and is pretty small. Pricing seems really high for the types of fish in the aquarium.
Negative experience: Kind of expensive for what you get. At almost $20 per adult, plus another $7 parking, I wasn't impressed. The Mitchell Park Domes have (for now) free parking and it's $5 each to get in. Much better value. I shan't be back to the Aquarium.
Fantastic experience: Great place for kids and family we had a ball food was reasonable.
Fantastic experience: Fun for kids And adults! This was my second time here and it was just adults, so much fun! Small enough to feel comfortable and not overwhelmed, but big enough to stay busy all day and not feel rushed.
Fantastic experience: Fun for kids of all ages an yes you can find nemo there
