They do look very healthy, this may be the reason they sell it at that price. Staff (the young girl) was very helpful even they are very busy. They did acknowledge me while I was waiting to be look after. They also give me recommendation of which plant I should get for my little fish tank I would recommend this shop. Thank you

Experiencia positiva: This place has great stock! Staff is usually very friendly and helpful. However, it's often understaffed, so even quick trips take an hour. Click and collect is hardly ever ready when the email says it is, and usually 1 or 2 things are forgotten, so you have to double check the email. Few staff members know how to do returns and exchanges which can take a while if you've messed up your purchase. Most of the staff are very young though which may be why! The oldest staff there was very condescending and rude today and really upset my sister, which was disappointing. It isn't possible to use afterpay in store unless you have the afterpay plus subscription. This has confused staff before, especially during returns. But there was no need to claim my sister was a liar when she said she'd used afterpay. It can be done! I was extremely disappointed, because I've never had any issues with staff members being rude before.

Doesn’t know what he’s talking about, more interested in taking your money. Those new to the hobby should steer clear of grubs who take advantage of you.

Didn't realise store was close by, but luckily Alan and Will went above and beyond and allowed me to pickup all the items in-store rather than wait for delivery. They even helped me load all the items into the car and were both extremely cool, nonchalant and friendly individuals. Store is large and extremely well stocked with nothing but quality items. Its clear that lots of love and knowledge were put into this store and the display scapes are fabulous. Without a doubt a fantastic store for all aquarium needs and I will 100% be returning time and time again not only for the incredible stocking options but also for the outstanding team that runs the beautiful place.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been keeping tropical fish for many years and during that time have used a few on-line tropical fish "sellers" with disastrous results in many cases. Sometimes as high as 50% dead on arrival resulting from very bad packing. I now have two fish orders fullfilled by NPA and I am very impressed with the quality of the fish and the professional way they have been shipped. Double plastic bags, numerous heating pads, and no room for movement. I shall be ordering more fish from them.

Wait times at the shop is horrible, noone comes to help you, you have to go hunting to find someone to come help you. It's like they don't want to do business and they are doing us a favour by shilling the stuff out. If you ask a question they will look at you like you are stupid an don't really care or show any empathy or interest in answering proper questions. My wife felt extremely hesitant to even call or ask them anything. Marine fish I bought died in 2 weeks looked liked they were sick from the start, only reason I go is their prices are somewhat reasonable an they have alot of stock at store but now I'm thinking of paying the higher $$$ for better customer service.

Experiencia negativa: Visited for the first time yesterday, and had mixed feelings about the shop. The display tanks downstairs are beautiful, and there is a great range of freshwater fish and plants that all seem very healthy. However, the reptile section is shameful, half the animals are visibly emaciated, the bearded dragons look half dead, shouldn't be selling animals you don't know how to look after.

For someone running an aquarium shop, you’d expect a basic level of knowledge and professionalism. Unfortunately I received neither.

Within weeks, the pump they sold me started sucking in his little danio fish—we lost three in a month. When I went back for help, staff alternated between not believing me and insisting this was "normal." No support, no empathy, and definitely not a friendly place when you have a problem. I regret shopping here. Avoid.

Selection of crickets and frogs, dragons etc. love that they check reptile licences for buyers. A little expensive hobby that can be really well established from this place. They have literally everything you need. And good advice to go with it. Some amazing set up tanks for inspiration.

Experiencia fantástica: A well stocked and reasonably priced shop with a range of aquarium supplies. we came into store this weekend, and were served by Raph, who was extremely knowledgeable, informative and helpful. We are somewhat new to fish keeping and he understood what fish I was after and what products I needed to care for them in a pre-established tank, even took the time to explain the chemical levels I needed to keep the fish, and explained what it all meant, which was super helpful as I did not have any previous experience with this stuff. I am very grateful for the customer service demonstrated by Raph, and will definitely be back in the future and hope to be served by him again - an absolute asset to the business.

Experiencia negativa: Seems to be a trend in recent reviews regarding the condescending and rude behaviour of the person who I can only assume is the owner or manager. I had to return mid week as I was sold a product that was missing an important component, and was treated as if I was asking for gold, rather than the complete item I had purchased, not to mention the inconvenience to me having to call to arrange the missing part to be left at service desk, and travel to return to the store. All of the staff I’ve dealt with on weekends are incredibly polite and helpful, but this ‘Senior’ staff member present mid-week couldn’t have been more different. I consequently cancelled my pending order and will driving a little further to other local reptile/aquarium suppliers then this store which is unfortunate, as their products are normally really great.

Experiencia fantástica: Excellent Fish Quality I recently bought some cardinal tetras from this aquarium store, and I’m very impressed with the quality of the fish. They are all healthy, strong, and active—none of them have died! The staff were very knowledgeable and helpful, especially a friendly Asian guy who speaks Chinese. He was very enthusiastic and provided great service. I will definitely be coming back for more in the future.

Experiencia negativa: Absolutely abhorrent treatment of their baby turtles!! We just rescued a tiny baby Murray river turtle from people who had bought him from this shop a few weeks prior. The little guy was brought home with an RI infection, which is highly contagious amongst turtles and they were kept 20+ turtles in one small tank. They were upsold on all of the equipment, told they didn’t need to cycle the water before putting in their turtle, and not instructed to buy a UV lamp or the proper chemicals to treat the water. They were recommended large adult pellets by the staff that the little guy could barely even eat. The employee could tell that the couple had money and just tried to sell them their most expensive equipment without actually giving them any proper advice on how to look after a tiny baby turtle. Animal abusers and scum of the earth. Do NOT BUY from here!!

Special shout-out to Raph who helped me with not only my fish and turtle aquarium but also my snake enclosure. He was friendly and gave me all the information I needed. Whilst I usually feel like I have to be quick because staff at these kinds of shops are usually rushing off to deal with the stampeed of customers, I did not feel like this today. I asked many, MANY questions and had all of them answered thoroughly. Will 100% be coming back. This is the place to go!

Experiencia negativa: Visited Nature Aquarium on the weekend. Have been visiting this shop for years. Was "helped" by staff member Ben. He was rude and seemed annoyed when my partner asked questions. When answering he spoke in a condescending manner, and responded as though our questions were not welcome. Was planning on buying fish, plants and other products, but instead left without purchasing a thing. When speaking to the owner and explaining how I was treated, instead of apologising for his worker's behaviour, he then proceeded to asked "how" exactly I was treated rudely, implying that I was making a issue out of nothing and didn't act surprised in the least about Ben's behaviour. After reading other reviews Ben obviously has form in being rude to customers, and he, nor management have any intentions in changing his behaviour towards customers. Will not be returning and would encourage others not to go there. Many other Aquariums in the area to shop at.

A much bigger and organised place with friendly and knowledgeable staff, having new sections of reptiles and aquatic utilities. They have more than everything that you want for your lovely fishy! Experiencia negativa: Today we went to buy a new Aquarium at this shop. The shop had some options to choose from. Attitude of one senior staff member, Ben M, was appalling. He was extremely rude to our family, was reluctant to explain and answer our queries and quite impatient. In terms of customer service, the shop should get Zero stars. He even spoke quite rudely to our child which is unacceptable. We will not be going back to this shop to buy anything more.

Experiencia negativa: I had a very disappointing experience at Nature Pet on 3rd January 2025. I went to drop off some fish worth over $300, offering them for free. Just a week ago, I visited the store to confirm the process of dropping the fish and collected bags for transport. Unfortunately, when I returned today, the person working at the store was extremely rude, both to me and to another employee of a different origin.Despite my intention to help by donating the fish, I was treated like I was there to get something for free. It was disheartening, especially considering I’ve been a regular customer and have had good experiences in the past. The attitude of this staff member was toxic and doesn’t reflect the welcoming environment. I hope the management addresses this issue, as this kind of behaviour can really tarnish the reputation.

I recently decided to make the (slightly longer) trek out here, after visiting the closer store to me, Coburg Aquariums, and seeing the horrendous conditions their fish are kept in, and the inherent lack of knowledge their staff have. Nature Aquariums is truly every fishkeeping hobbyists dream, all of their fish are in immaculate conditions, and are happy and healthy. Their extensive range of lush, healthy plants are truly unmatched, and the aquascaped displays as you walk into the store are truly a testament to this stores immaculate care of the animals and plants in their care, all of the freshwater displays I looked at (I know nothing about reefs) had incredibly healthy, lush, and vibrant plants, and the fish in these displays could not have been more healthy or happy. If you are reading this and don’t know which of the stores around Melbourne to visit, I’ll make it easy for you, Nature Aquariums Blackburn. It was well worth the longer trip, and after being able to visibly see the amount of care the staff in this care have, I wouldn’t go anywhere else. They also keep their betta’s in the largest tanks I have seen anyone do, all attached to (I believe) a sump, if want a fighting fish/betta in perfect health, GO HERE.

Experiencia positiva: Fantastic Store for Aquarium Enthusiasts! I’ve only been to Nature Pets & Aquariums a couple of times, but each visit has been a really great experience. Parking is always plentiful, thanks to their large car park, which makes popping in super convenient. Their range of products is truly impressive. I’ve never walked into an aquarium store before and thought, Wow, they literally have everything from every brand! Most of their pricing is very competitive, although some items are priced a bit higher. Still, overall, it’s a great place to shop. I haven’t explored their fish selection yet, as I’ve mainly been focused on products for my CO2 tanks, like liquid fertilizers. But one thing that stood out to me was their massive selection of rocks and driftwood. They have so many different types, perfect for anyone who loves aquascaping or wants to put extra effort into designing their tank. If you’re looking for quality products and a great selection, Nature Pets & Aquariums is definitely worth checking out!

Experiencia negativa: Asked for the quietest wave makers available, as was going in lounge room Was told nero 7s, got them home and anything above 40% they produced a loud hum noise. Returned them, then they put next to a reef wave and said the nero are quieter so there nothing they can do about it.. Wasn't happy about, it over $800 down the drain and owner was arrogant prick about it.. Bought 2nd hand mp40s and they are dead silent... Stay clear from this shop

Experiencia negativa: Purchased an Eheim filter from them which straight out of the box didn’t work. I understand these things happen but I’ve emailed them multiple times now over the last couple of weeks trying to organise a refund and I’ve not received a reply. Extremely frustrating Edit: after 6 weeks straight of ignored emails I finally get a reply, I get a very poorly worded apology and get told I’d have to cover the cost of postage with the faulty product and I’d be reimbursed if it’s found to be faulty. To be clear the filter will not work for 99% of the time. I mailed it back, they’ve taken their time and said it works they’ve sent it back with a video of it working. I’m hesitant but I trust they’ve tested it properly and not just thrown it in the water, I get it back and straight away it’s not working. After a further month of extremely slow replying I state I’m following up under consumer laws, amazingly I get a reply the same day advising I can get a full refund of my filter. After nearly 3 months you’d think it was over? I got my refund and I’ve followed up regarding the postage costs I was told I’d be reimbursed. Please understand all my communications have been extremely respectful, they’re managing to ignore my emails, my instagram messages and my phone calls. I get told management will call me back and nothing happens. It’s a shame as I have quite a few friends in the hobby who have spent lots of money here without issue, but moving forward we’re going to find a new supplier.

He knew his stuff and being a first time large aquarium owner his recommendations and advice were amazing! I gave him some fish that I liked and he showed me a bunch of different fish that would work well together! I absolutely will be back and will recommend to anyone interested in keeping fish!
