Experiencia fantástica: Visited again after 10 years and still loved it! Even with teenagers now, the kids had a great time. The VR attraction was a highlight, and we got discounted tickets through OZ Experience. Great day out — would visit again!
Experiencia fantástica: We took our family to SEA LIFE today, as our daughter—who is in palliative care—absolutely loves sea animals. While our other two children were enjoying the VR experience, I asked if there was any way our wheelchair-bound daughter might also be able to take part. Pheobe went above and beyond to make it happen. She ensured our daughter could remain comfortably in her wheelchair and still fully experience the VR alongside her siblings. Pheobe was incredibly kind, compassionate, and attentive—checking in throughout to make sure our daughter was okay. Her care and thoughtfulness truly meant the world to us. Thank you for making such a special memory for our family.
Experiencia fantástica: I recently book an Extreme Shark Dive experience as a birthday present for my wife (I had to go also to give support and ensure the shark would eat me first in the event they weren't fed that morning :) just kidding:)) Unfortunately we could not meet the medical requirements to proceed with the dive ( I think quietly my wife was relieved :) ) Anyway, Sea Life were great through the process and refunded us in full. Thank you Sea Life. We'll be back for another visit

Experiencia negativa: It’s easy to walk through an aquarium and become mesmerised by glowing tanks, colourful fish and choreographed displays. Visitors see clear water, pretty lighting, and smooth soundtracks — and they leave saying they were “well entertained” or “nicely served.” But beneath that polished surface is a very different story: the story of the animals themselves. Most of the creatures we see in aquariums live in environments that cannot come close to the scale, complexity, and freedom of the ocean. A single dolphin or shark in captivity may have access to only a tiny fraction of the space it would naturally roam. Animals that would travel kilometres each day are instead confined to pools that often feel like bathtubs compared to the wild. And yet we judge the experience by how we felt, not by how they are living.

Experiencia fantástica: The admission prices are reasonable. But if you book days in advance they are cheaper. We paid an extra $15 per person for the Behind-the-Scenes Tour I loved seeing all the animals. There was an adorable baby penguin and a fun hands-on section where we got to touch some marine life. Walking through the underwater tunnels was definitely a highlight, it felt like being surrounded by the ocean — though it was crowded at times. The Behind-the-Scenes Tour was a great experience. We saw how they house for injured animals and protect local marine life. There were three green sea turtles recovering, and we got to look down into the big pool above the tunnels — seeing the sharks and other animals swimming below was amazing. The seal show was light-hearted and fun, especially Ruby, a playful five-year-old seal. She was absolutely adorable! In total, we saw three seals during the show. The café, which had some food options — mainly small snacks and pies. So, don’t expect a full meal there. The only downside was, the Behind-the-Scenes Tour felt a little short, and unfortunately, no photos or videos were allowed during it. A wonderful experience and perfect would definitely come back again!!

Experiencia fantástica: Our family with teenage kids wanted to go in here and we all loved it. Spent a good 2 and a bit hours in here as we explored the aquarium. Has so many sea creatures and even warning signs when you enter the penguin area as it stinks! You ignore the smell when you see the penguins and the cafe was reasonably priced. The seal talk was great and informative and kept my teens engaged and out of the heat for a few hours. Customer service at front desk was amazing also.

Experiencia positiva: Great experience, my only concern is the steepness of the Ramos for mobility users, I had to get my wife to take my scooter up the ramp and I had to walk due to the weight vs incline, some of the spaces are a touch snug to maneuver through, a lift from the bottom most level back to the surface level would be a great benefit to those with mobility issues and aids

Experiencia negativa: Aquarium is definitely outdated in layout and exhibitions. Penguin Enclosure does not need to be on the nose, not fishy but ammonia/urine stench. General lack of different species. Cairns Aquarium is the minimum standard. Sunshine Coast is such a popular destination, time to lift the standard.

Experiencia fantástica: This is a review for the amazing customer service I received from Brontë Hahn via email. They answered every and any question, and replied within the day or the next morning. They also helped me with a refund for the dive extreme experience, as I was not allowed to participate due to medical issues. They did this promptly and everything was a smooth process. Despite not getting to do the experience, I was so happy with the customer service I received and I'm grateful. Thank you, Tahnee.

Don't fall for their ads saying you can buy adult tickets online from them for $36 each, only to find that their cheapest adult online tickets are $44. Go to Agoda instead, select "Activities", and you can buy the adult tickets for <$36 each, securely pay through PayPal or a credit card, then receive a QR code one can have scanned for entry.

Experiencia positiva: We quite enjoyed seeing the aquarium, and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. It isn't large, we saw all of it and took our time (& lots of pics), in a bit over 2 hours but it's easy to walk away having been entertained while learning new things, a great combination. Buying tickets was one of the most difficult parts as their ads say general admission adult tickets are $36 of purchased online, but when one goes online the cheapest are $44. It annoys me when companies do this so a Google search led me to Agoda where I bought 2 adult tickets for $71, they sent me a QR code for the tickets and the aquarium staff just scan them on entry. I would readily recommend going, it was an interesting experience.

Experiencia fantástica: Fabulous displays, great seal show. Allow several hours for a visit as there is do much to see. Great day trip for kids and adults alike. Online tickets are cheaper. Weekdays are best if possible. Lots of eateries in surrounding streets or cafe on site. Plenty of parking nearby when we visited.

Experiencia negativa: Do not pay for photos with the seals. Terrible experience. We paid for one group photo and a single for my eldest daughter but only ended up getting the group as they had ‘run out of food for the seal’ so they had to take him away. No refund for the photo we didn’t get and when we were finished and picked up the group photo, the quality was terrible. One child was sticking out their tongue in one picture and one child was looking away in another. Total waste of money. Again, do not waste your money on the photos

Experiencia fantástica: I love this place, my 7 month old son is obsessed with watching the fish in the underwater tunnel. They raise money for conservation work and research and rescue of injured and sick wildlife like turtles and sea lions/seals. It's usually fairly quiet on a weekday during school times, it gets pretty packed on a weekend or holiday times but even with a crowd it's still lots of fun, I like to walk through slowly and take our time looking at and watching all the different types of fish, sharks, rays and all the other ocean creatures swimming around.

Experiencia positiva: Great place to go to see a large variety of sea life from seals to octopus to sea horses. Very extensive tunnel with a variety of sharks, stingrays, other small fish, etc. The seal show is a great watch. I would definitely recommend coming to sea life if you are looking for relatively well priced entertainment for an hour or two.

We especially loved the playful seals at the Seal Island show — they were not only adorable but also very entertaining. There’s a great balance of hands-on experiences (like the touch pool) and immersive displays, with plenty of opportunities to learn about marine conservation. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and easy to navigate, and the staff were incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the animals. Overall, SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast exceeded our expectations. Experiencia fantástica: What a neat place! My 10yr old Marine obsessed kid loved every bit of this place. We did the 'behind the scenes tour' which was the info overload my daughter wanted. Also first time iv seen a shark that close haha. Seal show is beautiful an all staff were great! P.s. The work these guys do behind the scenes to save marine life needs to be applauded! You are doing an amazing job team, well done ❤️

Experiencia fantástica: recently had the incredible opportunity to take the "Behind the Scenes Turtle Tour" at SEA LIFE, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! If you're looking for something truly special beyond the main exhibits, this tour is an absolute must-do. From the moment we started, our guide (who was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate!) made the whole experience fascinating. We were given exclusive access to areas the public never sees, which really brought to life the immense effort and dedication that goes into caring for these magnificent creatures. Seeing the turtles behind-the-scenes area you saw food preparation area and quarantine tanks was eye-opening and gave me a newfound appreciation for the complex operations of the aquarium. The absolute highlight for me was, of course, the chance to get up close and personal with the sea turtles. The resident green sea turtle' was a truly magical moment I won't soon forget! It was amazing to learn about their individual personalities and the specific care they receive. Our guide shared so many interesting facts about their diets, health, and the critical role they play in ocean ecosystems. Beyond the close encounters, the tour was incredibly informative about SEA LIFE's vital conservation efforts. Learning about their "Breed, Rescue, Protect" initiatives and how they rehabilitate injured turtles gave me a much deeper understanding of the challenges facing these animals and how we can all contribute to their protection. The small group size made the experience feel very personal, and there was plenty of opportunity to ask questions, which our guide answered with genuine enthusiasm. It truly enhanced my overall visit to SEA LIFE. I highly recommend the "Behind the Scenes Turtle Tour" to anyone – families, couples, or solo adventurers – who wants a deeper understanding of marine conservation and an unforgettable interaction with these gentle giants. It's an inspiring and educational experience that you won't regret!

Experiencia positiva: We really enjoyed our visit. Animals are well cared for and the staff were lovely. I would however like to see them manage the issue of baby strollers. There were SO many strollers inside and which impacted how close we could get to exhibits as we were often and I mean often blocked by strollers.

Experiencia negativa: We went to Sea Life for a family outing, for a birthday. It was very pricey for what it was, as you have to pay for a lot of activities, my grandson was so excited to see the fairy penguins that he went under a rope where a photographer was, she screamed at me to get him out of there, at the time I was actually bending over to pick him up but having her having her scream at me was very upsetting.
