Experiencia fantástica: I came to the store earlier and I spoke to the owner. 10/10 customer service, i visited just to browse some salt water fisher because I was on the fence of getting a saltwater tank due to it needing time commitment. George answered all my questions and concerns I had and I can now say I am became more comfortable in purchasing a saltwater tank. They definitely earned a customer in me and when I am ready, I will definitely be going to their shop to purchase an entire setup! Their shop is very clean very well laid out prices are close to big bulk retailers online, but with that personal touch that everybody wants very helpful with old to new equipment even willing to help out with old equipment not trying to resell you new stuff even had custom-made shades for my lights, which was fantastic like I said, I love that personal touch on helping setting up new equipment and systems so I'm successful in this hobby I would highly recommend and give them a try. You won't be disappointed.

CB Aquatics has everything you need for the aquatic hobby, from all the equipment, to the livestock itself. George and his team offer excellent, friendly expertise and love sharing their love of the hobby with anyone and everyone. Their products are top notch, and his livestock is the healthiest I have seen in the city. Staff are always willing to help, and never shame people for honest mistakes. They are always willing to teach if the person is willing to learn. I am so blessed to have found them and prefer to take all my hobby business to them! Check them out, you will NOT be disappointed.

Very local to me, has affordable products, great deals and a very informative and convenient website. George and Brady are always very welcoming and are almost like walking encyclopedias. They helped me all throughout my reef keeping journey and reignited my love for aquariums. If you live in Winnipeg and you want high quality stocking for both saltwater AND freshwater, this is the place.

Experiencia fantástica: They have a great variety (and quality) of fish, invertebrates, plants and corals. Wonderful knowledge about water testing and the general fish hobby for salt and fresh! We had both our salt and freshwater tanks set up through them and are very satisfied with the entire process.

Experiencia negativa: first time ever ordering: over $600 total in torches. all 5 corals were single bagged individually, inside a bigger one... I opened the box and one of the corals was completely out of water, as it leaked to the big bag.. in less than 24h it had died. i took pictures and email them... this is the reply: "This can sometimes happen due to airplane cargo pressure and is out of our control. We also provide a freebie to offset any ship issues that might occur. Thank you for business". Yet, all other 4 bags were ok.. they offset this risk by giving me a freebie - a zoa frag... Not even a store credit was offered... Needless to say, I'm not ordering from them again.. avoid at all costs. Update: 25% discount offered, but unnecessary at this point.

Experiencia negativa: The staff were great when first purchased the fish, thought I had found a great new place! I called back a week later after an expensive fish died. All I asked was if they had any kind of warranty (other places do) . The guy on the phone was immediately rude and condescending. He asked why they would warranty when my aquarium water is bad or why when the fish would die in a week when they had it for a month and so on. I was completely caught off guard by his immediate rudeness and will never return! I received a call back after leaving the review and the guy on the phone was upset and argumentative about the review to the point that I had to hang up on him. Very odd experience, and great way to loose customers. I could care less about the fish dying, would have liked to be treated better!

He was filled with information and very knowledgeable on products, and wasn’t afraid to help and assist. Customer service is hard to come by now a days. Experiencia negativa: Odd customer service, I searched Concrete Blonde in Google, and tapped call. I asked them if they carry hillstream loaches and the first thing they say is if I looked on their website. It felt very dismissive and an odd way to answer a simple question. It's fine to tell me you keep your website updates on stock but I don't see why anyone would lead with that if they're not being passive aggressive. The extra annoying part is they did say they had them afterwards, so I checked their website and it said they didn't have stock. All they had was Borneo sucker loach which are not the same family as hillstream loaches, they're similar but not the same. Edit: So the owner called me back today and although I appreciate the commitment to their business I don't really appreciate being harassed for sharing my feelings. To a degree I understand not appreciating a review of their business based on a telephone conversation. That said your business is represented through all media and the phone call I received from the owner took a very unfortunate tone. Truly the oddest experience with a business I've ever had, I can empathize that their business essentially becomes their life and family but this was just a step too far. I didn't like the original conversation, I was polite with the employee, I left feedback; that's it. No need for name calling, such a weird experience. If the review was too much before it's definitely not now. Edit 2: This is just too much, provide feedback he doesn't like and he harasses and insults you. This is not healthy behavior.

Experiencia negativa: I called this store to ask if they have variety of fishes and the response I got from the man on the phone was sarcastic and rude. He asked me to repeat my question and said we are a fish store. Then asked me why I'm wondering this and that he's never been asked this question. I told him that some store many have few selections of fishes on site and that they may only have supplies on hand. And I told him that his response was super rude and that I will not be coming there ever and he hung up the phone on me!! Wow, unbelievable!

Finding this place after spending years visiting all aquarium shops in Winnipeg, I immediately stopped going anywhere else. Highly recommend. Experiencia fantástica: Easy to find location. Enough parking space in front of the store. Has inspiring display set ups. Fair pricing. I had a good talk with the store founder and it is evident that he is passionate with the hobby. It reflects very well by how the set ups are done. The fish selection is great. Live aquatic plants are also looking well. A good selection is present and available. I found this store by many recommendations by other customers they had on facebook groups, and I am glad to have visited it myself. We took home 2 juvenile chocolate orandas, 4 thorn nerite snails, and some salvinias. It was all well packed as we mentioned that we are not from Winnipeg. He placed them in a secure and thick styro box. It was a great gesture that was above and beyond. We had bought more higher priced fish before from a different shop and even when we say we are travelling more than an hour, it was simply placed in a bigger bag. No box, no double bag. This is a shop that would like to keep their sold fish alive and enjoyable to their buyers. I hope more will support businesses like this.

George was so helpful and very knowledgeable and suggested products that would help our shrimps survive. He gave us pointers on how to take care of our tanks. He even told us to not hesitate to ask if we ran into problems again and that he will make sure we’ll be successful in taking care of our shrimps. George and Brady were so friendly and they wouldn’t hesitate to help you and make sure your visit is worth the trip. We’ll keep coming back to this place! They are the best!!

Experiencia fantástica: I was visiting from Calgary for a few days and wanted to find some coral to take home with me. I came in Sunday June 16th and was greeted as soon as I came in. I told the guy I would be driving 13 hours home after the weekend and he packaged everything really well to ensure everything survived the trip home. Experiencia fantástica: My 1st order with CBA went terribly wrong, thanks to FedEx. CBA was all over it, as soon as I advised them I hadn't received any updates. They expended a LOT of time and effort and the package was eventually received ... too late for the lives it contained. CBA stepped up and sent a replacement, although not required under their policy. All items were in exceptional condition and are thriving. Can't thank CBA enough and will definitely be a repeat customer. Two thumbs up.

Just blame the customer. Absolutely sickened by the horrible attitude I received. I took pictures of the entire conversation if anyone questions what transpired. BUT I do take some of the blame as I did put trust in this shop. They have now lost several customers. If there was zero starts they'd get it.

I went in, only knowing what I had read online, and Brady was so helpful. He answered all my questions and provided me with so much knowledge that we will need to know for the tank set up and the care of the fish and creatures that my son will be purchasing. Such an amazing experience will definitely be using them for any future purchases.

They were very welcoming to our small family, did their best to spread their attention among us and the other 4+ customers who were also in the store at the time. The livestock all looked well taken care of and the tanks were pristine and vibrant. They have made good use of the space they’re in and we were able to use our stroller no problem which might not seem noteworthy unless you’ve visited some of the other fish stores in Winnipeg. Having an actually usable website with up-to-date detailed inventory and information is huge. Prior to finding their store it felt like I was going to need to join group buys or pay for overnight shipping if I wanted a shot at getting what I wanted. Making an effort to put names to faces and even giving our a daughter a cute little whale stuffy craft to make at home was the icing on the cake. My family was very impressed and we look forward to returning in the future.

Experiencia fantástica: Just went here today for the very first time. The place is very cozy and really cool! They have both salt and fresh water fishes as well as the equipment that goes with both. This will 100% be the place I'll go to in the future for stuff I need; especially the plants, this store is the only one that I had luck finding a good selection of plants. They even have floating plants! The prices are reasonable too! I recommend you trying this place out before you decide to buy from the big chain pet stores.

I initially went in looking to get a UNS 60S tank but someone already bought the last one :') thankfully, the owner I believe, and another member of staff were able to help me find a nice substitute. They were very kind and even brought my things to my car. Also very great selection of betta fish, with tanks actually filtered and heated. Will be back for my next tank and fish!
