Experiencia fantástica: They are moving locations, but were still helpful! Good amount of frags to choose from. Can't wait to see what they do at the new coming location

Experiencia negativa: Order corals and a few inverts for a small side project. The company plays email games with the customer until they can decide when the shipment will go out instead of the requested dates. They also expect a customer to take multiple days off work and get upset when i redirected the order based on FedEx only offering to redeliver to my house the following day as well… I can’t afford multiple short notice days off. Of course the coral came in poor condition. the heat pack was cold, inverts were dead and the coral was bleached. Not a single survivor in the order. I won’t ever shop with a company like this again. The only thing they were good at is blaming me. Avoid avoid avoid. I’ll post the dead order on your Facebook for everyone to check out. Poor packing, poor planning, poor business.
We have not blamed the customer, however the customer has blamed us for the courier getting delayed which is out of our control, and we have been fully willing to cover any doa provided the customer received the products and submitted photos. However the customer has refused to pickup or receive what they claim to be doa. The customer redirected the shipment adding a day in transit. And then blames us that the hold for pickup location is incorrect when they themselves arranged it with the courier after missing the first attempted delivery. We do apologize for any email communication issues and for the order not shipping out on the suggested date by the customer (they were informed of this and provided alternative dates, which is the date this order shipped and was delayed). We will be taking steps to prevent these types of email communication issues from occurring as well as implementing a scheduled shipment schedule with specific predetermined dates such as other online fish stores.. overall the package was delayed for 24 hours. We have never received any documentation on the condition of the arrivals, just what was verbally commented in this review. And as mentioned we would be willing to provide a replacement provided we received photos of the deceased items. No communication with us after receiving the order.
Experiencia negativa: Nothing to buy, not worth for us to spend 45 minutes driving to there.. they got more fresh water fish than aquarium fish, not as much as their website show.
All fish listed on the website in stock are currently in stock in store(we could not sell what we do not have). We do have several fully stocked coral tanks. Sorry for the inconvenience caused by lower saltwater fish stocking levels. When we typically have brought fish in at this time of the year, they don’t sell and we lose money. I’m sorry that at this time of the year we have lower stocking levels.

Experiencia negativa: Overpriced and rude staff. How are they still open
Experiencia negativa: Doesn’t even deserve 1 star. Worst experience ordering online ever! Stick with Candy Corals and Fragbox, they actually want to help you and not give you the run around with “claims” that they have no intention of approving. If you want to flush your money down the drain then Canada Corals is the place! Response to “business”: I have all emails, not once was I warned that livestock might perish. They were shipped (during bad weather) and I emailed my concern. Reply from business was ‘Please document how they arrive and file a claim if needed within 2 hours of delivery. Inverts do not consume very much air – and they were packed larger than we regularly do just in case. If they are cold on arrival – please acclimate as you normally would and bring the temps up slow. Inverts can “hibernate” and come back after becoming cold.’ There was one heating pack ON TOP of newspapers and bag. The livestock wouldn’t have survived 1 day shipping. It arrived so cold that I’m surprised it wasn’t chunks of ice in bags. All photos of livestock (dead) were submitted and had a lot of trouble sending video through their “claim page”. Offered a 30% discount on a future order with a minimum order of over $100. As you can see from their terrible customer service response, stay far away from this ‘business’.
Customer claims but refused to provide any evidence we "Improperly" packed their order.(Claims we only packed with one heat pack, actually packed with 4 heat packs for a multi day shipment, customer was warned livestock would perish if shipment was delayed for a third day.) Customers order was delayed in transit. We offered to provide additional discount on replacement despite not covering delays, despite warning the customer in advance about this risk. We are perfectly happy to replace the entire package at our own cost should the customer be able to provide the unpacking video the customer took, but has not provided more then the first 1.5 second clip of, showing we improperly packed the order as well as the condition of the livestock on arrival.

Experiencia fantástica: They have the healthiest corals of any store I've been to. The staff are really knowledgeable and are real saltwater hobbyists. The prices are really fair and they often have great sales. Good selection and some awesome larger colonies. They have a very limited dry goods section due to space limitations, but the corals are the stars anyways. Worth the trip out to them!

With regards to dry goods, unfortunately the supply is low as we are a small business and have been unable to maintain a steady supply of dry goods due to supply chain issues among other things. The fish came from vancouver to st.johns, the fish arrived In excellent condition and on time, swimming and active as soon as I opened the box. The fish was well cared for and was very well packaged with lots of water, styrofoam blocks and thermal pads. If everyone's order is the same quality as the one I received then I have no doubt every customer will be satisfied just like I am, thanks Canada Corals

Experiencia fantástica: The staff here are incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful both online and in person. As someone who is a newbie in saltwater fishkeeping, it's somewhat intimidating to head into a specialty fish store trying to remember exactly what you need, but the staff here are very patient in explaining various processes involved in the hobby. Their website is also very user friendly and visually aesthetic. They've also got accurate photos of their corals that are for sale, which I personally adore because having actual photos of the corals lets you see exactly what you're purchasing. Additionally, because there's so much color variations, it also helps beginners get a better idea of what you want in your tank. I will definitely be coming back to stock my tank once it fully cycles!
Experiencia fantástica: My son loves to visit this place. Lots of beautiful coral, fish, and crustaceans to see. Keeping a tank and having corals are daunting tasks for us. But it's such a great uplifting experience, walking to a store with vivid displays, and one of the owners explaining to us about the corals. We can tell he is passionate about the corals and the fish. Very knowledgeable too. Although keeping corals or pets is not a thong for us, I would still give kudos and recommend this place to anyone looking for aquatic pets :)

No response whatsoever. Edit: Brian reached out to me Immediately by phone after posting this to resolve the issue. He did confirm my store credit is indeed in the system as it should be. For some reason I am not receiving any emails from them still so not sure what is up with that.

Experiencia negativa: Bought 3 fish from them 2 clowns and a yellow tang. All 3 ended up being sick same day of purchase, i contacted them saying i would try and heal them in my qt tank and keep them posted. They showed little sympathy to have sold me sick fish and said there was nkt much they could do. After one clownfish died I asked if he could be replaced at the least and they refused. I do not recommend buying anything from theses people as they have low experience and have no problem risking compromising peoples pricey displays.

We do our very best to ensure that the fish are well cared for during their time at the store and we'd never knowingly sell a customer a fish that is visibly sick.
You had reached out to us for advice 3 days after you purchased the fish in store regarding the yellow tang. You mentioned that the fish were not eating pellet foods and had visible ich parasites. At this point, we had suggested that you feed a mix of frozen foods and dried nori as this was what the fish were eating at the store. Additionally, we had offered to take the fish back and treat it in our systems while providing you with a replacement for your troubles.
We didn't hear back from you until nearly 2 weeks later informing us that one of the clownfish you had purchased from us had just died and that you would like a replacement. Unfortunately, we're unable to offer a replacement this far past the purchase date.
Again, we apologize that the experience was not what you had hoped for. If you'd like more information on our feeding, treatment, or quarantine procedures, please give us a call or email and we'd be more than happy to discuss this in-depth with you.
