Experiencia positiva: Nice place for visitors children and adults alike, to experience a wide variety of sea creatures live. From the huge turtle to sharks to the Nemo clownfish, it was a great day out with family. Numerous other entertainment on Waterloo Southbank. Some sound effects would have made it even more realistic experience, and some glasses were not very clean.

If you have an older kid that enjoys sea life, she’d enjoy it. Younger kids may find it boring and not want to read all the information. Very pricey for a family of five

Experiencia positiva: Booked my tickets online a few days in advance, which turned out to be a great decision - prices were significantly cheaper online, especially if you select off-peak time slots. Entry was smooth and well-organized, though do expect a fair number of families and children around. The exhibits were impressive, featuring an incredible variety of marine life from all over the world. The ‘Dive’ exhibition, in particular, stood out - with sharks and a majestic turtle gliding through the massive tank, it was definitely a highlight. There are plenty of accessible bathrooms spaced throughout the tour, which is a big plus, and a small café inside offers light refreshments if you need a break. All in all, it takes about an hour or so to walk through the entire experience, depending on your pace. A great visit, especially for ocean lovers or those with kids in tow.

Experiencia negativa: The penguins here are spending their lives trapped in a glass tank underground. They will never feel sunlight, breathe fresh air or have any natural experiences at all. If you love animals do not support this place!
Experiencia positiva: Lots to see and do here for both adults and youngsters. A great selection of sea life to visit and the penguins are great! Could be a little more interactive for the kids and a bit on the expensive side. Recommend a visit.

Experiencia negativa: All the fish and other creatures were really cool and I enjoyed seeing everything from the jellyfish, to the penguins. Tanks and enclosures are well lit and there was a wide variety of creatures to see, as well as types of habitat. The staff member (Aiden) I was served by at the gift shop was very polite and made small talk with me. The positives end there however. After the first area of fish tanks, there's this green screen photo op thing and the woman staff member manning was incredibly rude and condescending. First of all she wouldn't let us pass, then after insisting we didn't want a photo, she added a snide remark as we walked past that she "just needed to count how many of you there were" in a very snotty tone. What for exactly, when we did not want a photo and had politely told her three times? I also was deeply unimpressed by how extraordinarily cramped the centre is. Families with four kids and a pram take up all the space in a 5 foot wide corridor that's one way, so you're left held up unable to move forward until little Timmy has finished talking to the seahorses, or some foreign tourists have taken 50 photos of 'Nemo' with the flash turned on. Not only is it cramped, but it's also aggressively targeted towards children aged 10 and under. Every few enclosures is some crappy play centre or child's activity, with a swarm of kids and parents either taking up all the space making it difficult to skip that section and walk past, or entitled parents simply barge into you and move past so they can get a closer look at the virtual reality booths. We walked right past the cafe which had like four tables and looked horribly uncomfortable. Overall, the animals were a 10/10 experience. The actual sea life centre was like 2/10. So I'm giving 4/10 or 2 stars overall.

Experiencia fantástica: Shellom! Our visit was off the scale - turtlely brightened our Whelknesday. Meeting Isabelle was animazing. Sam in the rainforest section was a particularly bubbly member of staff - so finny! Holy carp; we fished we could stay forever. It was simply exsquidsite! Thank cod for advance student tickets. Experiencia fantástica: In the beginning there was a bit of chaos as over enthusiastic children were crowding in front of every aquarium. But as we went inside it became very interesting. I personally loved the jelly fish and penguins very much. The penguins were literally giving us a show!!

Experiencia positiva: My nearly 2 year old loved the aquarium. I would say it would be beneficial to have more viewing platforms for some of the spaces as she needed lifting a lot. It would also benefit from more hands on activities. She enjoyed handling a shark egg and getting stamps, but would have enjoyed more activities, especially around the penguins. Staff weren't super friendly during our visit, but she obviously didn't notice this! The buggy park was great - really easy to just leave our things safely and enjoy running around. The gift shop is also excellent - very difficult getting her to pick one thing!

Experiencia fantástica: Good day out. Perfect for kids. Really busy on a weekday in the morning. About 1.5 hours inside with slow pace. Would highly recommend visiting this zoo for sea creatures. Walk from Westminster or Waterloo. There is no disabled existing as a warning.

Experiencia fantástica: really enjoyed this attraction. there's a cool VR section on one of the exhibition, it is a separate cost, but looked a lot of fun, especially engaging for teens and younger ones. plenty of toilets dotted throughout the attraction. would recommend.

Experiencia positiva: Alright, it's about £25 more expensive than it should be and I feel nothing but pity for any parent who has children in the gift shop where everything is just about double the price you can find it online, but overall I was surprised by how good London Aquarium actually is. There's tonnes and tonnes of stuff to see and do and the information boards are all really interesting; especially at the moment where there's a Nintendo-sanctioned Animal Crossing event with extra information AND a brilliant Pride trail so you're getting even more information for your money. The exhibits are cool and I loved how they were all split up into different biomes. And I was surprised by how many amazing creatures there are here. Merlin Entertainment should hang their heads in shame for the disgraceful price-gouging, but that's no reflection on the brilliant work that the staff at the aquarium do to promote and protect marine life. If you can stomach the cost, it really is worth a trip.

The whole experience was educational and entertaining and I highly recommend a visit. The reasons they only get four stars are: 1. No restaurant area 2. Experiencia positiva: We visited the London Sea Life Aquarium with two six-year-olds. We arrived around 10 a.m. and spent nearly four hours there, walking through at a relaxed pace with the kids. Overall, it was an enjoyable outing — the kids were especially fascinated by the turtle shell presentation and loved the chance to touch it. The ray tank was another highlight, and the large aquarium with sharks and sea turtles was truly mesmerizing — both for the children and adults. That said, there were a few drawbacks. The ocean tunnel is very short, and the penguin nursery was partly closed. We had to lift the kids up so they could see the penguins, which isn’t ideal at this age. It would be helpful if the aquarium provided platforms or better visibility for younger visitors. We also found it disappointing that we couldn’t choose the backgrounds for our souvenir photos. The staff selected them for us, and they didn’t match our preferences. Given the price of the photos, guests should be allowed to decide how they want their memories to look. Lastly, the staff handing out the photos at the exit could benefit from more politeness and patience. Unfortunately, this interaction left a rather negative impression at the end of an otherwise fun visit.

Experiencia negativa: Extremely Disappointing Experience with Manager Francis and staff in general Our recent visit to Sea Life was overshadowed by a very upsetting experience with a manager named Francis. When we bought our tickets, staff at the ticket desk clearly informed us that children under the age of 3 could enter for free and that my younger brother (who is under 12) could have a child ticket. However, when we arrived at the entrance to scan our tickets, Francis completely disregarded what his own colleagues had told us. At that moment, my two-year-old sister was extremely distressed and crying, and we were doing our best to calm her down. Instead of showing any understanding, Francis chose this chaotic moment to double-charge us—insisting that any child aged 2 or above must have a paid ticket and questioning the age of my clearly under-13 brother. When we explained that we had been told otherwise by the staff at the desk, he ignored us and began raising his voice, even shouting—further upsetting my baby sister and making the entire situation worse. It was incredibly unprofessional and unnecessary. As a manager, Francis should be setting an example by communicating respectfully with customers, especially in front of young children, and ensuring consistency among his staff. Instead, he seemed more focused on confrontation than on resolving the issue or listening to what we were saying. This experience left us very disappointed and made our visit far more stressful than it should have been. Sea Life should take serious note of this and provide better training in customer service and communication—especially for those in management positions

It’s entertaining for kids and it’s entertaining for adults but if you want something more extra than it’s really not your thing the place was very clean not so much guide but the last location is the penguins before the exit, try to eat food before you head there so you don’t get hungry thinking that you could snack on something.

Experiencia fantástica: Came to the aquarium on a Wednesday in June for the opening time of 11am (wish they opened earlier) didn’t need to queue however we had pre-booked tickets (Merlin 5 attraction pass) spend about and hour and a half here walking around at a comfortable pace. There are elevators as there are a few steps. The aquarium is in a beautiful building (previously county hall) and was opened as an aquarium in 1997. The inside themes are well designed and interactive with interesting facts about the species. My favourites were the penguins and the jellyfish, however did really enjoy the ants with the travel tube around the room (which I think many miss) The attraction sits just along the river Thames with great views of the Houses of Parliament and the queen Elizabeth clock tower (Big Ben) and alongside a variety of other merlin attractions. (We did the aquarium, Shrek adventures, London dungeons and London eye on the same day)

Experiencia fantástica: SEA LIFE London is such a cool experience — we absolutely loved it! Walking through the Ocean Tunnel with sharks and turtles swimming all around was unreal. The Shark Walk (yep, glass floor with sharks underneath!) was a highlight, and the penguins totally stole the show (literally). There’s so much to see — colorful fish, jellyfish, rays, etc. It’s super interactive too, with touch pools and fun facts everywhere. Honestly, we spent hours there and still didn’t want to leave. Perfect spot whether you’re with friends, family, or just exploring solo. 10/10 recommend, especially if you’re into marine life or just want something different to do in London.

Experiencia positiva: The Aquarium is rather small and a tight fit. It was a bit hot and humid as well. The exhibits were small and some were empty. The shark tank was small and the sharks as well. The aquarium is rather unimpressive compared to those of other cities. Unless you really like aquariums and have your heart set on it, I would skip this attraction. Not worth the money.

Experiencia fantástica: It's a beautiful aquarium especially for kids. Tickets It's better to plan in advance and buy tickets in advance as same day tickets are costlier. Entrance The entrance is next to London Eye. Baggage You can carry baggage. It is checked at the entrance. The aquarium has all kinds of marine species. You get to see Sharks, Turtles and Penguins too. It's child friendly. Towards the end you get to touch Starfish too. But it's not the real Starfish. Souvenir They have a souvenir shop where you can buy nice souvenirs. It's a wonderful experience for adults and kids.

I think different ages works attract different interest. There is also some interactive games and a small shop inside. It is a bit pricey though. And as an aquarium itself is not so great so i would only go if your actually live in London and have kids or if you really are into aquariums

From the moment you enter, the design and layout immerse you in the world of marine life. The Ocean Tunnel was a standout—walking beneath sharks and rays gliding overhead felt surreal. The penguin enclosure was another highlight, especially watching them interact and waddle about playfully. The variety of sea creatures was impressive—from jellyfish and turtles to piranhas and even crocodiles in the Rainforest Adventure. Everything was well-labelled, educational, and thoughtfully arranged. Kids will love the interactive zones, and adults will appreciate the calm atmosphere and beauty. Booking online was easy and saved us money. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable, always happy to answer questions. It’s clear they care deeply about conservation, which adds meaning to the visit. Experiencia positiva: Attended today for return visit, many years since my last visit with my children. It's a nice visit overall, we quite like aquariums and visited many of the sea life centre around the country. The staff doing the turtle shell talk, the shark tank talk and the rock pool talks were engaging and pleasant. The staff on the door polite and helpful. Security staff less so, asked about the vending machine not working and they were too engaged in there own chat to really help with my query which was a little rude but not really very impactful. It gets very warm in here, thankfully we had brought a bag with snacks and drinks managed to take a seated break to refuel my youngest a prevent an pending hypos due to warmth and walking. I managed to knock a drink over were we had sat, on a chest, I had wipes but it was a substantial amount. I had asked the shark tank gent if there was anyone who I could get tissue etc from to clean up. He told me no one was about, he carried on talking to people and I went to try and prevent any kids sitting in it. Eventually when it quieted I asked him if he could radio someone and he said he could but not that straight forward, I took it as no one would come. He went and got some tissue. We cleaned it up and there was no bins in sight to get rid of that or any rubbish anyone had. We asked the gent about the "pregnant" looking Shark - Dean who wasn't pregnant but had been a pet and due to a small tank his anatomy got a bit deformed. He was a really insightful and helpful chap. The Gentoo penguins made feel uncomfortable in the enclosure they were in. I'd rather not see them in there. Atheist the otters in Scarborough have an outdoor area. The biggest let down of here isn't an issue with the centre but people visiting. There was a family of 6 whose children were semi-feral and that's not the issue the issue was the parents live streaming them been semifinal. At one point one of the children climber up on the enclosure stood on my child's hand, then in front of him while he was looking at the turtles while the dad proceeded to record him and not once apologising. This persisted all the way round pushing and barging, parent with headphones in or live streaming their antics. In the end we stay in one place to get away from them. My only wish was there was more staff guiding as it was quite busy and to ensure behaviour such as pushing and shoving can be adressed as well as the jumping on tanks and flash been shined into tanks even though this is clearly a request not to do as causes distress to the fish. Rock pools are all silicone items now - i understand, causes stress to the animals and risks infections etc but also saddens me that as a very tactile person and learning in that way this experience is reduced some what but also understand. Overall Good! Spoilt a little by some absent parenting skills

Experiencia fantástica: Don't judge this aquarium by its modest exterior—it's bigger on the inside than a TARDIS. The shark tank delivers proper predators (not just sleepy nurse sharks), the Amazon exhibit satisfied my snake-obsessed son, and the penguins did their usual waddle-and-charm routine. Experiencia fantástica: Came here for the adult lates session (no children allowed) with a free glass of Prosecco or orange juice which was served in a proper glass! It was a fantastic experience as I love animals and got the added bonus of being able to see the animals without any children blocking the way. There was a staff member by the penguin enclosure who gave lots of information about them (chicks coming soon!) and was very enthusiastic and answered questions. Highly recommend!

Experiencia positiva: Got to start with saying it is so much bigger than you think looking from the outside. We booked online so got in straight away on a bank holiday Monday at 11am to my suprise. The kids fully enjoyed it alot more than just walking around they had little pods the kids could crawl into and stand up around some areas which was great for them. A big range of animals to look at and kids loved the Penguin part. No issues getting around has stairs and lifts took just over a hour to get around with good interaction with each area.

Experiencia fantástica: I was at Sea Life Munich a long time ago and was absolutely disappointed. For this reason, I wasn't sure whether we should visit Sea Life London. Let me put it this way: we didn't regret it. We went straight away at 10am. We only had to queue for a short time and then you could go in. It was really great. Lots of interesting animals and lots of facts about them. Much better than Munich! My daughter really liked it too.

Experiencia positiva: It's very nice, but the price is very steep for the experience. Three floors, with a visit of maximum 2hrs. The cost for 2 adults and 1 child was 113 pounds. The penguins are a nice and rather rare addition is aquariums, so that was nice.

Experiencia fantástica: Lovely day out. Might seem quite expensive but worth the money. After all I'm must cost a small fortune to pay for all the up keep. The staff are very friendly and if you care to listen rather than just rush around the staff tell you all you need to know about our oceans. The only down side is right at the beginning it's very very crowded but does thin out after a short while. Best to pay for anytime tickets.Definitely recommend.

Experiencia positiva: We visited today and it was really amazing seeing the lovely fishes! There was a lot to see and the big glass is helpful even if you aren’t close to it as you can see the huge fishes swimming around peacefully. The ticket price was a bit steep because there was a few of us, we did go peak time too! London was bustling! There is a lovely park, jubilee park so you can walk there (about 5-9min walk) and enjoy your picnic too.

Experiencia fantástica: After reading some reviews we were expecting it to be busy and dirty, so my expectations were quite low! We arrived at 2pm on a Thursday afternoon and there wasn't a queue outside. Had our bags checked and headed for baby changing facilities which were clean. Then the fun stuff! The tanks all seemed clean, there were a few people walking around and you may have needed to wait a minute to view some of the tanks but nothing major. Staff were SO friendly and knowledgeable, especially the guy doing the mermaids purse demonstration. He was so lovely and really knew how to interact with everyone! We ended up spending just over 2 and a half hours with 4 really slow toddlers! Cheaper to buy tickets online before you get there. They probably could have done with more signs that said no flash photography as I saw a few people use flash to take pictures

Experiencia negativa: Nothing special really just a typical aquarium. I didn’t enjoy it much when we went on Sunday with my wife and our 8 month old. He seemed to enjoy it a little, especially watching the sharks and jellyfish. There weren’t any penguins though, as they were part of a special attraction, which was a total disappointment. Overall, it was an okay experience, right next to the London Eye.

The aquarium is packed with **over 500 species** of marine life, including sharks, rays, and playful penguins, making it a perfect outing for families and marine enthusiasts alike . ✔ Ocean Tunnel & Shark Walk – Walking under sharks and rays was thrilling! The glass tunnel made us feel like we were underwater. ✔ Interactive Zones– Kids loved touching starfish in the Rockpool area, and the daily feeding sessions were both fun and educational . ✔ Penguin Point – Watching the penguins waddle and swim was adorable and a big hit with our little ones . ✔ Well-Maintained Exhibits – The themed zones (14 in total!) were immersive, especially the tropical and coral reef displays . - Queue Times – It can get busy, so booking tickets online in advance is a smart move . - Food Options – Limited vending machines inside; bringing snacks for kids might help . Overall, a 4-star experience—highly engaging, educational, and well-located near the London Eye. Would recommend for a fun day out!

Experiencia fantástica: After visiting Madame Tussauds, we headed to Sea Life—and it exceeded our expectations! We never imagined it would be so vast, with such a stunning variety of fish. Experiencia fantástica: Had a lot of fun! Displays and interior exhibitions were well thought out and were engaging. There are mini side activities that you need to pay for (one I did was the VR experience; would highly recommend!), but even without them, the visit was amazing. The only inconvenient thing was that it was card payment only

Experiencia fantástica: great experience!! great location! the staff was incredibly accommodating of my partner's physical disability and had elevators or ramps at every level/exit or entrance. the elevators are located in convenient locations right by the stairs, so there's no weird backtracking. there are tons of animals on display and usually there are several windows for looking at the same exhibition so if animals move or people are blocking the view, you don't miss out. great for kids, tons of activities to do. well worth the price!

Experiencia positiva: This isn't my greatest Sea Life Centre I've been to that's why I'll give it 4 stars a lot of renovation going on it has a couple of big tanks in it but nothing major don't get me wrong it's got all the fish you can see and it even has a reptile area will keep you busy for about an hour or two

This was my second visit to SEA LIFE London Aquarium, and this time, I had the unique opportunity to attend an evening viewing thanks to a friend whose company provided exclusive evening tickets. The aquarium offers a fantastic underwater adventure, making it a great day out for families, couples, and marine life enthusiasts. From majestic sharks to vibrant tropical fish, the exhibits are beautifully designed, offering an experience that is both engaging and educational. One of the highlights for me was the incredible shark tunnel—standing right next to these massive creatures as they glided effortlessly through the water was truly mesmerising! Another standout was the penguin enclosure, where we could watch them play and interact up close. The jellyfish displays were also stunning, their bioluminescent glow creating a magical underwater scene. The aquarium is well-organised, with plenty of informative displays on marine conservation, and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable, always happy to answer questions and share fascinating facts about the animals. What I really enjoyed was the peaceful, child-free atmosphere in the evening. I’m not sure if this was a trial event, but it was such a refreshing change to explore the exhibits without crowds or noise, allowing us to truly appreciate the marine life in a calm and immersive setting. Overall, SEA LIFE London Aquarium is a must-visit for anyone looking to explore the wonders of the ocean. Whether you visit during the day or get a chance to experience a quieter evening session, it’s a fun, immersive, and educational adventure that’s well worth the visit!

Experiencia positiva: Was in and out in about 30-45mins. Lots of Sharks, turtles, jellyfish and small and big fish. Theres a VR sea experience inside for an additional cost. Toilets are inside and theres a few places to grab snacks. Also a shop at the end. I had been to the one in Brighton before this. A lot of the setup is similar with a few different fish options. Do keep this in mind before you part with your hard earned money. On the positive side, the kids enjoyed themselves and ultimately, thats the only reason we were there. But once youve done it once, youll unlikely need to do it again.

Experiencia positiva: This is a really large aquarium with loads to see. It's well laid out and easy to find your way around. I would strongly recommend going at quieter times as it gets very busy, which means you can't see a huge amount. Probably late afternoon would be best. It's very close to Waterloo station, so it's easy to get to.

Experiencia positiva: We brought our daughter this morning and she really enjoyed it. On our side, it was a bit disappointing for me and my husband. It has a very limited amount of different species, you will always see the same ones. It has lifts and it is step free access everywhere, but still overpriced. We also paid the full ticket but the penguin area was closed for maintenance, nothing mentioned in the website. I recommend calling in advance to check if some areas are closed.
