I have had a disaster with my last fish tank from a previous company, which flooded the house and caused thousands of pounds worth of damage. So you can appreciate my concerns in ordering a new tank but rest assured, this Fish Tank is excellent and the service and attention to detail has been second to none. The Tank is beautiful and has been finished to a very high standard. The steel work is beautifully aligned and the sump fits in with the option to remove a bar so the sump can come out. The quality of the tank and the seals are top class and the base is a ‘Double Base’ to give extra strength and support. There is also a very large range of finishes for the cabinet and I called the company direct and got samples to test, in my dining room. The wood is all sealed to prevent water expansion. The communication has been excellent and everything was confirmed in email and arrived as expected. I have had the tank running for approximately 3 months now and there is no issues and would recommend this company to anyone would like a custom Fish Tank. Thank you Andrew and Dom.

Experiencia positiva: The tank was made with the wrong colour silicon, however we came to an agreement on price. Delivery took 6.5 weeks and then needed another 9 days until it could be filled with water, so take that into account when ordering.

Experiencia fantástica: Would i recommend nd aquatics yes I would 100% i ordered my first custom build tank from these guys and what an amazing experience when ordering my tank i asked how long roughly would it take to be delivered and was told around 8 weeks and I was very happy with that but 2 weeks later I got a phone call and was told my tank is ready and I was over the moon and nervous at the same time as I had never had a tank built before but when the tank turned up I was amazed on how well it was built it looked amazing i have a few extras like opit white glass front and sides the cabinet is finished in a very nice matt grafite and I know for sure if I get another tank built I will 100% be going back to them so thank u nd aquatics for an amazing job

Experiencia negativa: Purchased a new aquarium from nd this was my second purchase. After setting tank up and running just over a week I started to notice condensation under wooden lid !!!!! I rang nd and they said I should buy a little fan for air movement, helped a little but still getting wet when I noticed it had started to warp my lid!!!!!!! They said if I take measurements that would replace free but I would have to pay £50.00 postage. I’m afraid that was good enough so I will not be using this company anymore

Experiencia fantástica: Dom & Andrew couldn’t be more helpful, from ordering my new aquarium to delivery. They listened to what I wanted and were helpful advising me about different glass and colour background I wanted. Then when the aquarium was ready I couldn’t be at home to take delivery and it was no problem to them to hold my aquarium for 2 weeks. I payed the balance and the aquarium arrived the next day at 11.30 am, it was on a pallet packed Superbly, unpacked it and got it into the living room. It is absolutely superb a stunning looking cabinet & tank thanks again to dom & Andrew for all your help.

Experiencia fantástica: I needed a glass lid for a rimless aquarium due to evaporation and had an idea what i wanted. I spoke to these guys and they came up with something much better and corrected my measurements, as I hadn't allowed for the clips. It's now fitted and fits perfectly without their advice and knowledge I would have a lid that wouldn't fit. I had a look around their showroom when I was there and will buy my next aquarium from them , they are far better quality and a better price to the one I bought elsewhere.

Experiencia fantástica: I've taken delivery today of my new tank - a 6ft X 30 inches x 24 inches beast with steel powder coated stand, sump and top-up tank. It's my 2nd purchase from ND in 10 years and was the only company I considered for my new marine setup in my lounge. Their service and quality is faultless and I highly recommend ND.

Experiencia negativa: PLEASE AVOID! - My experience with Nd Aquatics was probably the worst experience I have ever encountered with any retailer in my 40 years.... Please excuse my long post however it's imperative that you take the time to read my experience so that you can void the awful experience that i encountered too. Initially i drive 2 hours to the retailer to discuss my requirements. Everything in the discussion was clear and they guaranteed that they would have my order completed by the date that i requested. I ordered a 6 ft aquarium but i wanted my hood and cabinet to be in solid pine wood. This cost an extra £550 on top of the price of the aquarium being £1617. They ensured me that it would be of a very high quality finish. When it arrived i could not believe my eyes. The photos are attached. It was absolutely horrendous. I stated my concerns. The owner was very rude and said you are just trying to get money off the price. Then he said to me that he would do his best to come back and rectify the poor workmanship of the cabinet and hood. They never returned and said they were too busy and the owner said he has too much going on in his life and he didn't have time to discuss my concerns. Most unprofessional. He was exceptionally rude to me in my house accusing me of being a difficult customer and stating that he did not want to hear from me that i was concerned about the quality of the product. I just explained that when you pay a premium price for a premium product you expect a premium quality in return. This was clearly not the case. They have been reported to Trading Standards for investigation. Please do not purchase you aquarium from ND Aqautics as i'm very confident that you will be most disappointed.

The quality of everything is superb,from the cabinet and hood to the tank itself. The stand is very well made,very heavy and sturdy.push lock doors are a nice addition. The hood fits like a glove,the sliders are effortlessly easy to open and close. Polished edges all round. Highly rate nd aquatics ,superb products and service.

Experiencia fantástica: I’d like to thank ND Aquatics for their outstanding customer service and care. I have had numerous tanks over the years and was dreading getting a larger one for a few reasons, delivery and finding one that suited me to name a few. I was able to customise every aspect of my tank and was given the option of delivery. The whole process from start to finish was amazing and to sum it up: Customising the tank was great, their website is laid out well and they have great follow up and aftercare to make sure everything is correct before stating work on the tank. If I’m honest it’s always a worry with anything custom when it comes to the price as it’s unique to the individual, however everything is very reasonable and flexible. I have never owned an ND tank before this and I’m am blown away by the quality and craftsmanship. ND also only requires a partial deposit which is a massive bonus on its own. Delivery itself is rather cheap for what you are getting I really cannot thank them enough. I was worried about getting the tank into my property but the driver helped and got everything inside without any issues. My tank did arrive with some very minor damage to the lid which appears to have happened in transit, however as soon as I let them know they offered to sort it ASAP no questions asked. This is absolutely excellent customer service and they have gained a new client. I shall definitely be using them again.

Experiencia negativa: This is based on their customer service, which is a shame as I've heard the quality of the tanks is very good, but I will never know. The first delivery date was missed as for some reason they thought I did not want delivery on that day. I then had to wait nearly 2 months for the second delivery date I was given on the phone, which was also missed due to miscommunication between them. After speaking to them about this they said I can delivery it tomorow (Sunday) but I'd have to pay by bank transfer which unfortunately can't do, as this needs to be paid on card. This wouldn't have been an issue if they hadn't left it until the evening of the delivery date I was promised and just called me on the Friday instead. Overrall they're just extremely poor in getting back to you when you email and if you miss a call from them they just don't call back. I then asked for a refund as it's taking far too long and I will have to just buy elsewhere, they refused so now am having to do a chargeback.

Experiencia fantástica: What a pleasure it has been dealing with ND Aquatics to order a custom sized fish tank for my husbands birthday recently. Living in Guernsey it is very difficult to find places on Mainland UK who are happy or able to arrange delivery here, but when I emailed them to check on this I had an email back within a few hours to say yes, no problem. Dom and Andrew went above and beyond to explain the pros and cons of the various options available when making the custom order and I felt reassured at all times. Communication was fantastic - if they were unable to answer the phone when I rang, they called me back straight away, although mostly answered the phone very quickly. Emails answered promptly also. They really pulled out all the stops also to turn the build around really quickly, knowing it was a gift for a birthday – order confirmed/placed on 17th May, tank delivered on 31st May – now that is service! Prices of tanks are very reasonable (they also removed the VAT without any hassle, knowing we do not pay this in Guernsey) - the quality is outstanding, such a well made tank. I would not hesitate to recommend ND Aquatics - you will not be disappointed! Thank you, Andrew and Dom - hope to speak to you both again in the future... although let’s not encourage my husband that he needs a bigger tank... or not just yet!

Experiencia fantástica: I have had my new hand made ND tank set up for a month now and it is starting to settle and the plants are starting to grow. I went to the shop to order it rather than use an Internet form and I think the showroom is being refurbished. The display tanks are gorgeous and are a true reflection of what you get. Mine took 6 weeks from order to delivery, which was OK and for deliveries it takes time to fill up a run so that slows things I think. The tank is gorgeous, was perfectly to size and once unwrapped the gloss black hood looks great. The build is solid and the lid and bracing neat and tidy. Communication can take a while sometime but everything gets done as it should. I would happily order another tank and am really pleased with this one Thanks

Experiencia fantástica: Absolutely nothing bad to say about my experience. I first emailed ND Aquatics asking for a quote, and they promptly got back to me. I did try to order through email and was asked to call, which I immediately recognised as safer, due to being able to talk things out in detail, as well as having the secondary "Are you sure?" confirmation from Andrew with whom I spoke with over the phone. I was lucky enough to live near a build-on-site... site, and received the aquarium in about 3 weeks. Andrew walked me through the process, that a deposit of 50% would be taken, and the rest a day before delivery, that I'd receive a call to ensure it's okay for the delivery date as well as taking the last of the payment. During customisation, he was very clear with confirming what I wanted within the email I used to try to order online. Andrew was friendly, straight to the point, and one of those nice ones you can have a chuckle with during the conversation. I'm unsure of the fella's name who delivered, but he was friendly enough with a sharp sense of humour (I asked him if he needed help and he aptly replied "I'm not superman, I wish I was though!"), and he was helpful with getting the aquarium into the house. The delivery driver was also kind enough to give a courtesy phone call to let me know what time he would arrive. He was a little late, but that is a non-issue to me as it was in the evening and I wasn't going anywhere, so I couldn't have missed him unless I locked myself in a cupboard; some people may want to keep this in mind depending on where you are on the delivery list, as I imagine the driver has to deal with people who cause him time loss. ND Aquatics even take in to consideration the excitement that some people (myself included) might have who may want to fill their aquarium up as soon as they get it, but there were little stickers (the adhesive was strong enough to stay on in the rain but weak enough to peel off without leaving residue) on the front glass panel stating to wipe around the inside of the aquarium before use and to not fill it up until the specified date. Andrew called me about an hour ago asking me how I was and how the aquarium was holding up, which is endlessly appreciated no matter what the product is. tl;dr would order again, would recommend to a friend

Once the order was placed, delivery took place within only two weeks (to central Scotland). The tank was very well protected for transportation. Build quality was to a very high standard and a lot of thought had gone into the design. A bonus – the Bean-Animal weir had a small footprint. Cannot fault ND in any way!

The delivery man was extremely helpful as access wasn’t very easy. Decided to pay a little extra for the optiwhite front panel and what a difference it makes. After a bad experience with a custom build from another company, was very hesitant with paying out for replacement aquarium within 6 months but can’t recommend this company enough.
