Experiencia fantástica: Amazing experience. got so close to the sharks. but the underwater tunnel could have been better. the one in birmingham was amazing. apart from the tunnel everything was a fantastic experience. lovely service too.

Experiencia positiva: Not a bad visit. I went here with a young child and they enjoyed it. We’d pre-paid so it was a bit cheaper and we didn’t have to queue for tickets, but it was still expensive, there was a queue to get it, and even on a weekday it was very busy. It’s entirely underground, including the poor penguins, which I’ve heard terrible things about. I wanted to ask a member of staff to hear both sides of the story, but there were none about. Which kind of tells you all. The tunnel and main aquarium tank with sharks is nice though. Rockpool experience very underwhelming. Perhaps worth one visit, but I wouldn’t ever suggest coming more than once, and even then only with younger children.

Experiencia positiva: Expensive considering its not as big as london zoo yet a few quid more expensive but it was fun. There is this really cool vr experience i would suggest trying. Its more like a mini documentary but its fun. Tgeres these hurricane simulators which werent worth the plastic the fans blew air around in.

Experiencia positiva: It was a lovely place to visit and the kids enjoyed it very much. The only downside was there wasn't as much interactive experience for my boys liking. They are 3 and 5, after a while their interest was faltering. Personally I really enjoyed it! Haha

Experiencia positiva: Not a typical Aquarium you’ll see. It has less marine life that I have seen in other Aquariums but it was informative and interesting. Very pricey. If you have an older kid that enjoys sea life, she’d enjoy it. Younger kids may find it boring and not want to read all the information. Very pricey for a family of five

Experiencia negativa: As previous reviews state, there are penguins (in a small captive space), a turtle and sharks (again crammed together with the ilusion the tank is much larger than it actually is). The one star review is more in regards to their habitat, lack of space, sad faces, sunken blury eyes, lack of movement in some of the bigger fish inc. a shark which looked half dead, head in a dark hole, laying on the sea bed floor. I left feeling guilty of pumping money into a place that did not care for its animals, nor their habitat. Would of been better half the size walking around, but with a more adecuate fish tank(s) for the fish, seeing its the same sad tank you look at whole way round, just different angles. Much more effort needed in going into their well-being. Quality, not quantity. Most of it was a brown, merkey, sad experience of lothargic floating grey fish. My 5 year old more than once asked if said fish were ok, sick? or almost dead.
Experiencia positiva: I am a Londoner and struggled to find the Aquarium from Waterloo. The signage is either really poor or just not there. Sort it out. The Aquarium itself was great although a little bit dark to read all of the descriptions etc.

Experiencia positiva: Booked my tickets online a few days in advance, which turned out to be a great decision - prices were significantly cheaper online, especially if you select off-peak time slots. Entry was smooth and well-organized, though do expect a fair number of families and children around. The exhibits were impressive, featuring an incredible variety of marine life from all over the world. The ‘Dive’ exhibition, in particular, stood out - with sharks and a majestic turtle gliding through the massive tank, it was definitely a highlight. There are plenty of accessible bathrooms spaced throughout the tour, which is a big plus, and a small café inside offers light refreshments if you need a break. All in all, it takes about an hour or so to walk through the entire experience, depending on your pace. A great visit, especially for ocean lovers or those with kids in tow.

Experiencia negativa: Cruel, unnecessary and all for profit. The penguins have no natural light, air or view. They are stuck in a tiny underground glass enclosure. It sickness me.

Experiencia negativa: The security team needs an attitude adjustment. I still don't understand what I did wrong but the operator opted to insult my ability to read instead of explaining. It took 30 minutes just to get through the line (weekday, 1.5 hours after opening) to then be treated like a child. The aquarium itself is lackluster in comparison to any major city. My 6 year old repeatedly asked why it was so small. It's a nice break from a hot day but I don't think I'd recommend it among the dozens of other sites around London.

Experiencia fantástica: Came to the aquarium on a Wednesday in June for the opening time of 11am (wish they opened earlier) didn’t need to queue however we had pre-booked tickets (Merlin 5 attraction pass) spend about and hour and a half here walking around at a comfortable pace. There are elevators as there are a few steps. The aquarium is in a beautiful building (previously county hall) and was opened as an aquarium in 1997. The inside themes are well designed and interactive with interesting facts about the species. My favourites were the penguins and the jellyfish, however did really enjoy the ants with the travel tube around the room (which I think many miss) The attraction sits just along the river Thames with great views of the Houses of Parliament and the queen Elizabeth clock tower (Big Ben) and alongside a variety of other merlin attractions. (We did the aquarium, Shrek adventures, London dungeons and London eye on the same day)

Experiencia fantástica: SEA LIFE London is such a cool experience — we absolutely loved it! Walking through the Ocean Tunnel with sharks and turtles swimming all around was unreal. The Shark Walk (yep, glass floor with sharks underneath!) was a highlight, and the penguins totally stole the show (literally). There’s so much to see — colorful fish, jellyfish, rays, etc. It’s super interactive too, with touch pools and fun facts everywhere. Honestly, we spent hours there and still didn’t want to leave. Perfect spot whether you’re with friends, family, or just exploring solo. 10/10 recommend, especially if you’re into marine life or just want something different to do in London.

Experiencia negativa: Please do not support an establishment that practises cruelty to animals, in this case the ‘colony’ of Gentoo penguins. Many of these animals have been there for their entire lives and, without compassionate intervention to secure their release, they may never see the light of day. Gentoo penguins are the strongest swimmers and the deepest divers of all birds, yet their enclosure offers just 6-7 feet of depth in which to dive - a pitiful fraction of the 600ft they can dive to in the wild. They are a small colony, in a tiny enclosure, that does not meet their physical and social needs and does not allow them to enjoy their natural behaviours. Added to this, the constant public observation and noise has the capacity to cause serious stress and adverse health effects.

Our penguin home was designed with help and advice from specialist vets to greatly exceed the legal criteria, and to keep them protected from the dramatic changes to our British weather that could make the penguins ill. The habitat being designed with help and advice from specialist vets and BIAZA membership experts in penguin husbandry. Experiencia positiva: The Aquarium is rather small and a tight fit. It was a bit hot and humid as well. The exhibits were small and some were empty. The shark tank was small and the sharks as well. The aquarium is rather unimpressive compared to those of other cities. Unless you really like aquariums and have your heart set on it, I would skip this attraction. Not worth the money.

Experiencia fantástica: It's a beautiful aquarium especially for kids. Tickets It's better to plan in advance and buy tickets in advance as same day tickets are costlier. Entrance The entrance is next to London Eye. Baggage You can carry baggage. It is checked at the entrance. The aquarium has all kinds of marine species. You get to see Sharks, Turtles and Penguins too. It's child friendly. Towards the end you get to touch Starfish too. But it's not the real Starfish. Souvenir They have a souvenir shop where you can buy nice souvenirs. It's a wonderful experience for adults and kids.

Experiencia positiva: Very nice visit, mainly to go work kids. There is a lot of stuff to watch and do. Loads to learn. I'm easy watching the penguins for like one hour. I think different ages works attract different interest. There is also some interactive games and a small shop inside. It is a bit pricey though. And as an aquarium itself is not so great so i would only go if your actually live in London and have kids or if you really are into aquariums

Nestled right by the Thames near the London Eye, the location is perfect for combining a relaxing riverside walk with an underwater adventure. From the moment you enter, the design and layout immerse you in the world of marine life. The Ocean Tunnel was a standout—walking beneath sharks and rays gliding overhead felt surreal. The penguin enclosure was another highlight, especially watching them interact and waddle about playfully. The variety of sea creatures was impressive—from jellyfish and turtles to piranhas and even crocodiles in the Rainforest Adventure. Everything was well-labelled, educational, and thoughtfully arranged. Kids will love the interactive zones, and adults will appreciate the calm atmosphere and beauty. Booking online was easy and saved us money. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable, always happy to answer questions. It’s clear they care deeply about conservation, which adds meaning to the visit. If you're in London and looking for a family-friendly, relaxing, and educational outing, SEA LIFE London is well worth it. Allow 1.5 to 2 hours for a full visit.

Experiencia positiva: Attended today for return visit, many years since my last visit with my children. It's a nice visit overall, we quite like aquariums and visited many of the sea life centre around the country. The staff doing the turtle shell talk, the shark tank talk and the rock pool talks were engaging and pleasant. The staff on the door polite and helpful. Security staff less so, asked about the vending machine not working and they were too engaged in there own chat to really help with my query which was a little rude but not really very impactful. It gets very warm in here, thankfully we had brought a bag with snacks and drinks managed to take a seated break to refuel my youngest a prevent an pending hypos due to warmth and walking. I managed to knock a drink over were we had sat, on a chest, I had wipes but it was a substantial amount. I had asked the shark tank gent if there was anyone who I could get tissue etc from to clean up. He told me no one was about, he carried on talking to people and I went to try and prevent any kids sitting in it. Eventually when it quieted I asked him if he could radio someone and he said he could but not that straight forward, I took it as no one would come. He went and got some tissue. We cleaned it up and there was no bins in sight to get rid of that or any rubbish anyone had. We asked the gent about the "pregnant" looking Shark - Dean who wasn't pregnant but had been a pet and due to a small tank his anatomy got a bit deformed. He was a really insightful and helpful chap. The Gentoo penguins made feel uncomfortable in the enclosure they were in. I'd rather not see them in there. Atheist the otters in Scarborough have an outdoor area. The biggest let down of here isn't an issue with the centre but people visiting. There was a family of 6 whose children were semi-feral and that's not the issue the issue was the parents live streaming them been semifinal. At one point one of the children climber up on the enclosure stood on my child's hand, then in front of him while he was looking at the turtles while the dad proceeded to record him and not once apologising. This persisted all the way round pushing and barging, parent with headphones in or live streaming their antics. In the end we stay in one place to get away from them. My only wish was there was more staff guiding as it was quite busy and to ensure behaviour such as pushing and shoving can be adressed as well as the jumping on tanks and flash been shined into tanks even though this is clearly a request not to do as causes distress to the fish. Rock pools are all silicone items now - i understand, causes stress to the animals and risks infections etc but also saddens me that as a very tactile person and learning in that way this experience is reduced some what but also understand. Overall Good! Spoilt a little by some absent parenting skills

Experiencia fantástica: Don't judge this aquarium by its modest exterior—it's bigger on the inside than a TARDIS. The shark tank delivers proper predators (not just sleepy nurse sharks), the Amazon exhibit satisfied my snake-obsessed son, and the penguins did their usual waddle-and-charm routine. But the real stars? The leaf-cutter ants, whose teamwork puts most corporate offices to shame. Who knew watching insects could be this entertaining? Would definitely return when visiting London again!

Experiencia fantástica: Came here for the adult lates session (no children allowed) with a free glass of Prosecco or orange juice which was served in a proper glass! It was a fantastic experience as I love animals and got the added bonus of being able to see the animals without any children blocking the way. There was a staff member by the penguin enclosure who gave lots of information about them (chicks coming soon!) and was very enthusiastic and answered questions. Highly recommend!

Experiencia positiva: Got to start with saying it is so much bigger than you think looking from the outside. We booked online so got in straight away on a bank holiday Monday at 11am to my suprise. The kids fully enjoyed it alot more than just walking around they had little pods the kids could crawl into and stand up around some areas which was great for them. A big range of animals to look at and kids loved the Penguin part. No issues getting around has stairs and lifts took just over a hour to get around with good interaction with each area.

Experiencia fantástica: I was at Sea Life Munich a long time ago and was absolutely disappointed. For this reason, I wasn't sure whether we should visit Sea Life London. Let me put it this way: we didn't regret it. We went straight away at 10am. We only had to queue for a short time and then you could go in. It was really great. Lots of interesting animals and lots of facts about them. Much better than Munich! My daughter really liked it too.

Experiencia positiva: It's very nice, but the price is very steep for the experience. Three floors, with a visit of maximum 2hrs. The cost for 2 adults and 1 child was 113 pounds. The penguins are a nice and rather rare addition is aquariums, so that was nice.

Experiencia negativa: I would not recommend visiting with one year old. Zero place to break, feed, relax. No fresh air or daylight the whole time, pretty intense sound background effects, especially by the jellyfishes, penguins living without a daylight . Structured like a maze which ends in a massive gift shop. Would recommend visiting Wetland center instead.

Experiencia fantástica: I absolutely LOVE aquariums, and this one did not disappoint! It had a slow start, and at first I was a bit concerned that it wasn’t holding my 17-year-old’s attention. But as we made our way through, the exhibits became more engaging and impressive. This place isn’t just for kids—there’s something for everyone to enjoy. I’d recommend it for all ages, from 0 to 110!

The exhibits were incredibly well-maintained, and there was so much to see—from the stunning marine life to the interactive displays. The underwater tunnel was absolutely breathtaking, with sharks, rays, and countless other creatures swimming all around. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about conservation. It was a perfect day out for all ages, and we learned so much about ocean life. Experiencia fantástica: Lovely day out. Might seem quite expensive but worth the money. After all I'm must cost a small fortune to pay for all the up keep. The staff are very friendly and if you care to listen rather than just rush around the staff tell you all you need to know about our oceans. The only down side is right at the beginning it's very very crowded but does thin out after a short while. Best to pay for anytime tickets.Definitely recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: A nice place to go and not very crowded. The space is quite large and you can spend at least one hour here going through the different thematics offered. The section with forest rain is very nice, but also the large water tanks with big fishes are amazing.

Experiencia fantástica: 5 stars for the conservation efforts Aside from the usual jellyfish, seahorses, fish, sharks, and turtles, there was a dwarf crocodile, snake, penguins and tarantulas, too. Buy tickets ahead of time and dress lightly it is very warm inside.

Experiencia positiva: We visited today and it was really amazing seeing the lovely fishes! There was a lot to see and the big glass is helpful even if you aren’t close to it as you can see the huge fishes swimming around peacefully. The ticket price was a bit steep because there was a few of us, we did go peak time too! London was bustling! There is a lovely park, jubilee park so you can walk there (about 5-9min walk) and enjoy your picnic too.

Experiencia fantástica: After reading some reviews we were expecting it to be busy and dirty, so my expectations were quite low! We arrived at 2pm on a Thursday afternoon and there wasn't a queue outside. Had our bags checked and headed for baby changing facilities which were clean. Then the fun stuff! The tanks all seemed clean, there were a few people walking around and you may have needed to wait a minute to view some of the tanks but nothing major. Staff were SO friendly and knowledgeable, especially the guy doing the mermaids purse demonstration. He was so lovely and really knew how to interact with everyone! We ended up spending just over 2 and a half hours with 4 really slow toddlers! Cheaper to buy tickets online before you get there. They probably could have done with more signs that said no flash photography as I saw a few people use flash to take pictures

Great location too in the old London Assembly building. The sharks were amazing, but the leaf cutter ants were a surprising favourite!

Experiencia negativa: Nothing special really just a typical aquarium. I didn’t enjoy it much when we went on Sunday with my wife and our 8 month old. He seemed to enjoy it a little, especially watching the sharks and jellyfish. There weren’t any penguins though, as they were part of a special attraction, which was a total disappointment. Overall, it was an okay experience, right next to the London Eye.

Experiencia fantástica: great experience!! great location! the staff was incredibly accommodating of my partner's physical disability and had elevators or ramps at every level/exit or entrance. the elevators are located in convenient locations right by the stairs, so there's no weird backtracking. there are tons of animals on display and usually there are several windows for looking at the same exhibition so if animals move or people are blocking the view, you don't miss out. great for kids, tons of activities to do. well worth the price!

This was my second visit to SEA LIFE London Aquarium, and this time, I had the unique opportunity to attend an evening viewing thanks to a friend whose company provided exclusive evening tickets. The aquarium offers a fantastic underwater adventure, making it a great day out for families, couples, and marine life enthusiasts. From majestic sharks to vibrant tropical fish, the exhibits are beautifully designed, offering an experience that is both engaging and educational. One of the highlights for me was the incredible shark tunnel—standing right next to these massive creatures as they glided effortlessly through the water was truly mesmerising! Another standout was the penguin enclosure, where we could watch them play and interact up close. The jellyfish displays were also stunning, their bioluminescent glow creating a magical underwater scene. The aquarium is well-organised, with plenty of informative displays on marine conservation, and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable, always happy to answer questions and share fascinating facts about the animals. What I really enjoyed was the peaceful, child-free atmosphere in the evening. I’m not sure if this was a trial event, but it was such a refreshing change to explore the exhibits without crowds or noise, allowing us to truly appreciate the marine life in a calm and immersive setting. Overall, SEA LIFE London Aquarium is a must-visit for anyone looking to explore the wonders of the ocean. Experiencia positiva: Was in and out in about 30-45mins. Lots of Sharks, turtles, jellyfish and small and big fish. Theres a VR sea experience inside for an additional cost. Toilets are inside and theres a few places to grab snacks. Also a shop at the end. I had been to the one in Brighton before this. A lot of the setup is similar with a few different fish options. Do keep this in mind before you part with your hard earned money. On the positive side, the kids enjoyed themselves and ultimately, thats the only reason we were there. But once youve done it once, youll unlikely need to do it again.

Experiencia positiva: This is a really large aquarium with loads to see. It's well laid out and easy to find your way around. I would strongly recommend going at quieter times as it gets very busy, which means you can't see a huge amount. Probably late afternoon would be best. It's very close to Waterloo station, so it's easy to get to.

Experiencia positiva: We brought our daughter this morning and she really enjoyed it. On our side, it was a bit disappointing for me and my husband. It has a very limited amount of different species, you will always see the same ones. It has lifts and it is step free access everywhere, but still overpriced. We also paid the full ticket but the penguin area was closed for maintenance, nothing mentioned in the website. I recommend calling in advance to check if some areas are closed.

Experiencia negativa: In and out within 30 minutes of entry, to many people let in at once meaning overcrowding around the tanks. Just as big as your average sea life center found around England looks alot bigger from the outside. Just bigger tanks. Fair section is just wasted with interactive projected games on the wall or projected fish. Staff are helpful and friendly. security procces upon entering was nice and simple no long queues. Might be more suited to a family rather than late twenties couple felt a bit ripped off paying £66 pound for 2 adults and that was using hello tickets sea life wanted alot more. Always check 3rd party ticket sites for the best deal.
