We are a coral farm and boutique located in Land O Lakes. Our aquaculture facility is open to the public on Fridays and Saturdays and by appointment outside those times.
We also offer aquarium management sevices in Hillsborough and Pasco counties.

Experiencia positiva: Cool place, fair prices, vast selection and some absolutely beautiful euphyllia that blew me away. This is a long standing business run by a knowledgeable, experienced person. Went up there on a weekend with my wife and kids to purchase some goniopora and ended up getting more a few corals as well. I would have rated 5 stars but I'm not sure what's going on with one coral. We bought a $150 pink and yellow goni; wasn't open at time of purchase but we saw the mother colony and every other frag was great. Of course this particular goni won't open in either tank we have even at "ideal" water parameters. Goniopora can be tricky so it's probably not anyone's fault. However, I wish we would not have bought a coral that wasn't open. I contacted the owner and he was nice enough and responded quickly. Unfortunately, there's not much anyone can do so hopefully it opens; constant 78°F, 1.024 SG, .06 phos, 11.0 nitrate, pH 8, 8.2 Alk, Calc 430 and mag 1290 so not sure what the problem is. Not slamming this business at all; I should have known better to buy a coral that wasn't open. Would buy from him again, just wish I could figure out our goni!
Experiencia fantástica: Lots of corals to choose from. The owner is very nice and always takes his time to discuss things with me. The corals I have purchased from him have great growth and are all very healthy. This is a hidden gem in our area and happy that he is open to the public. Just be aware there are limited shop hours and you may need to schedule an appointment.

Experiencia negativa: Overall experience here wasn’t great. The place was hard to find, we had to wait for the owner to show up during business hours (no appointment, but we didn’t know we needed one) and the selection wasn’t very vast. The tanks were dirty looking and unkept. When we asked questions we felt like we were bothering the gentleman assisting. We had masks on and were in compliance with said county ordinance so that must have been another couple...

I remember you well. I opened the shop for you despite the fact that I was closed when you came and I told you I was in the middle of a heavy and dirty job out in the yard. I told you I would need a few minutes to get there and get cleaned up. It was obvious within minutes that you were not here to shop for corals, but I let you stay. This is not a typical LFS and at the time due to Covid, we were open by appointment only. Unfortunately, Google does not have appointment only as an option in their hours. As for the dirty appearance - first, we were closed; second there was a build out for an installation consuming much of our space at the time.
Do you think it is fair to put a one star review because you did not realize we were not a conventional fish store? All our media makes that clear. Do you think it is fair to complain about waiting after I told you it would be a little bit to get cleaned up? I suggested another local store that would have what you were looking for. Please remove this review.

Mr Duren, I have just been made aware of this review. It is unfortunate that our location is inconvenient to you. We acknowledge that we had hiccups in the past but that was on a system that used to be accessible to the public and we have made corrections. We traced the contaminant to an ingredient in sunscreen and some medications and have not had issues since. The other propagation systems have always been productive since we opened the farm. It's a shame you had a poor experience.

Experiencia fantástica: I've been to all of the local LFS, and a bunch that aren't local, and this one is different. This state-licensed aquaculture lab has a personal touch and a focus on quality. If zoanthids are your thing, it's hard to describe the variety and range available, from stunning 'generics' to the latest and greatest in high-end named polyps. Add to that an enormous selection of LPS, soft coral, and SPS plus a variety of inverts and fish. And they can even install, set up, and maintain your system.
