Experiencia negativa: Never answers phone and is not open like the hours listed on door or google. Drove over an hour twice to check out store and both times same situation.

Experiencia positiva: Nice place, Fair prices, will trade coral for fair value. Needs to be better about being open during posted business hours. This is the second time I've shown up with the store closed and locked during posted hours. Super frustrating after taking the time to pack up some coral to bring in to trade to have the place locked

Experiencia negativa: Terrible experience. Apparently they were open but were going through a remodel and there were no lights on and the tanks looked rough. It was me and two other customers. I walked around with my phone light to look at stuff and was never greeted once or even acknowledged. The other customer even asked what kind of store it was. The apparent worker was also heard cussing with construction worker while walking around.

Not only was I completely blown away by how beautiful and healthy the livestock is, I was super impressed with how personable and knowledgable the owner, Dominic, is. This store is a must visit if you like corals! Dominic’s wide variety of knowledge and troubleshooting abilities are great when you need it and he is so willing to help. I will absolutely be back.

Experiencia fantástica: 10/10 no joke I was so board one day I went from shop to shop. I did this as having a place you can trust will make a big difference in your success unless your a pro. I went to 4 places are they were all the same ish distance from were I live. Demonic had no problem helping me get prepared for the new tank that’s coming, from pre buying live stock to getting a budget figured out. Super friendly and passionate and clearly just loves to help people out. If your a newbie I’d go to him all day. I know I’ll be sticking to his shop for everything. To note if I got anywhere the experience I did here from any other shop I went to I would have stopped searching. Glad I did what I did.

Experiencia fantástica: Overall I probably wouldn't buy from this store again solely based upon their aiptasia problem. I wish they would at least try to manage the aiptasia but it is quite clear they don't just based on the sheer size of some of the aiptasia anemones in their large tank. They do have some nice coral frags, the employees are really friendly, and the prices are overall really great. But sometimes the cheapest things you put into a reef tank end up costing the most in the long run. Please Take Care Of The Aiptasia Infestation That Is Present In All Of Your Tanks!!! Edit: The store has seen major improvements within the year and I have to give it 5 stars as the aiptasia is virtually not present anymore and the tanks look all great and amazing! I can now confidently say I would recommend this store to anyone in the saltwater hobby.

Experiencia positiva: Small storefront in downtown Waukesha run by a young, enthusiastic, knowledgeable owner. Fish selection is limited but he will order and quarantine for 2 weeks for you. Corals are plentiful, healthy, and a great variety at prices more reasonable than in any store in SE Wisconsin. Urge other reef hobbyists to support this promising place.

I like I can see how some of his frags look grown in his bigger tank before I make a purchase rather than seeing them in pics. Clean setup and great-looking, well cared for tanks.

Lots of coral and live plants they had dory :) and seahorses hermit crabs couple star fish other varieties of sea fish had puffer just sold sells sea salt for your tank an to do a salt water set up i guess is not as difficult as we would of thought just ask the owner he is great at explaining everything for you:)

Experiencia negativa: Went at 2:50 on a sunday. Hours are until 4 yet the door was locked, noone was there, and didn't awnser the cell phone number on the door that I called. Just put up the closed sign that was on the floor or make a "Ill be back in a minute" poster.

Experiencia fantástica: Ok. I was like yeah right perfect 5 stars. Ok well sometimes you get proven wrong. He doesn’t have tons of tanks....but they are all kinda different and interesting. I am a die hard SPS guy, I guess you could say I am advanced in this hobby. Whatever. The owner, Brett, is trustworthy and knows his stuff. He has a knack for great Aquascapes and interesting twists compared to most stores. I enjoyed talking to him. He is just one of those guys that likes to talk reef tanks and he spends good time with his customers. His prices are super fair. And if you are a beginner I would go here. He will NOT take advantage of you. His fish seemed healthy and he does QT his fish. If you are in the area check it out!

Experiencia fantástica: We have been to most of the marine/saltwater fish stores in Milwaukee metro. Saltwater Specialty is exceptional. The owner quarantines new fish for two weeks and actually has a fish return policy… With everyone else, it's buyer beware. I have watched people shopping through the plastic bags at fish stores when fish just arrive and take them home. We have gotten sick fish from three other stores. The owner Brett explained fish are stressed by being shipped in bags and so they tend to get sick. It sucks watching beautiful creatures die and then having to deal with parasites in your marine tank and eating the cost over and over. Saltwater Specialty has corals we haven’t seen anywhere else AND very good prices. The owner Brett is generous with his expertise and tells it like it is. He threw in a two legged starfish we were happy to pay for. (Kids get to see how animals can regenerate arms) He gave us an aerator for raising brine shrimp to feed corrals free. Listens to and treats children respectfully and you can tell he is in the business because he loves it. We had a couple of very cool fish that got sick and died. Brett is going to order us the fish we want and keep them in his treated quarantine tank for two weeks so we don’t have to set one up… Doing business right, making a hobby fun! Highly recommend.

We’ve also bought some cool fish and invertebrates which we are extremely happy with. Everything we’ve bought has been top notch healthy. Definitely one of our favorite places for our saltwater aquarium. Highly recommend!!!
