It is looking super clean and all the prices are clearly on the tanks making it easy to see what is available. Speaking of what's available, large sections of the store are no longer NFS. It's great to see a veteran owned business in my area as well. Fish, coral, and inverts all looking healthy and priced fairly!

I was expecting the prices to be higher, but they are actually a bit cheaper than most other stores in the Pittsburgh area. Experiencia fantástica: Extremely pleased with this salt water fish and coral store! The coral looked extremely healthy and there were tons of frags of various sizes. All the tanks looked pretty clean and the fish/invertebrates were very healthy. First time in a long time I went to a fish store and didn't see fine rot, ich, or other sickly fish. Prices were fair, staff was knowledgeable and friendly, and all my new livestock acclimated without issue when I got home.

Also has a tank with red or green macroalgae and another massive tank with nothing but anemones and clownfish. Highly recommend any reef enthusiast to stop by

Experiencia fantástica: My teenage son and I visited Reef Gallery recently because he was interested in learning more about salt water habitats. We had very little knowledge before visiting. I was truly impressed by the variety of corals, fish, and tank supplies. The 2 employees were full of patience and knowledge. They really took time to answer his questions and show him some demonstrations of feeding. We didn’t purchase anything but learned so much while there.

Experiencia fantástica: Not a bad place at all. Enjoyed my visit but a little bummed that everything seemed to be “sold” or “not for sale”. The corals are amazing, healthy and vibrant! I’m excited to go back for some zoas, very nice. Main reason for my visit (and was not disappointed at all) was for BTAs. They had to have been the nicest I’ve ever seen. Like wow factor! Looking forward to making a trip back up.

We had the pleasure to meet the owner and Jamie both were very personable and extremely helpful Jamie took the time to explain and show us the different corals and walked us through our three pieces we purchased and was well worth the hour drive. Would recommend this place to all weather your a beginner or experienced. Very large selection compared to any of the other places we have been we will be making this a regular place we visit for sure

This store was extremely clean and the selection of corals and frags were amazing. The staff was extremely knowledgeable answered all of my questions. I will definitely be purchasing livestock and equipment from them.

Experiencia positiva: Prices seem fair here. Supplies are sometimes limited lately due to covid related issues. All the fish I've gotten here have been healthy and taken nicely to my tank. Their main employee, Jamie, will grow on you if you go here often. I was actually quite turned off by him initially because he kind of seems like you're bothering him if you ask questions or want to buy something, but I think he just comes off that way. As I've gone there more he has gotten more friendly and I'm not so hesitant to ask a question or tell him I want something. I get a lot of snails and crabs here, which are fairly priced and you get a discount if you get more than 20. I've also gotten a yellow tang, a puffer fish, and a yellow watchman goby here.

Experiencia fantástica: WOW,,,!!!!! This place has some amazing corals, the best I have seen in a long time. I have been in and out of the hobby for years, and have visited MANY coral shops all over the world and this place holds its own against any others. There prices are slightly higher than I'd expect on "some" of their pieces, but not too bad. All of their coral looked super healthy, and pest free. Their display tanks are amazing, and very well kept. I'm more of a coral guy, so the limited amount of fish didn't bother me at all, the fish they do have looked healthy, and happy. The guy that was working, Jamie I think was super friendly and very knowledgeable. He went out of his way to chat with me, even though I wasn't purchasing anything on this particular day. Most other places won't even bother chatting if your not spending money. After visiting this shop, it kicked in my motivation to set up another SPS reef. Now I am searching for a tank, etc to get the ball rolling. Thanks for having a great coral selection, and keep up the good work. I'll will definitely be returning for some sticks, and chalice soon as I get a tank stable.

Experiencia fantástica: Went here for the first time the other day looking for additions to my Waterbox. The employee was incredibly knowledgeable about lighting and equipment. It’s been almost 10 years since I was in the hobby last time and he (bluntly) advised me regarding the science of light strengths. While slightly intimidating, I really appreciate his honesty and matter-of-fact approach. Really awesome selection of coral frags and even though the employee said the place was messy, it looked organized and impressively clean to me! Will go here again and again!

This is definitely THE place to buy saltwater fish and coral in the Pittsburgh area. They have spectacular tank setups all through the store. All of the fish and invertebrates look healthy. The coral all looks amazing and very healthy. They have a huge selection of corals and at a fantastic price. I purchased several corals here and some bumble bee snails. All of them are doing great! I would definitely recommend this place for first time aquariums and seasoned vets.

Experiencia negativa: This place is such a shame. They have really nice stuff and everything is well kept and clean, but if you aren't in their social circle they don't want to help you. I stopped by and would have probably spent several hundred dollars, but the two people working didn't so much as great me in the 20 minutes I was there.

Their fish selection is decent but the equipment options are a bit lacking. Considering it's a tiny shop Id rather have the big selection of frags rather than equipment, as they do. I've got various corals from them and they are all thriving. No algae in their tanks. No floating . Hours are a bit weird.

There were bags of gravel piled up right inside the door when you walked in, yes i understand the store was going threw renovations but there was no attempt to move boxes and bags out of the way. The bathroom was filthy. There were peices of equipment that came unattached laying in the bottom of several of the fish tanks. The employee that helped me and my friend was knowledgeable but in a degrading way. IN REPLY TO YOUR RESPONSE: {Shop somewhere else Hannah . Our restroom isn’t open to the public so I’m not sure why you were there. You and your other friend that left negative bogus reviews aren’t welcome back. Please find somewhere else to shop. Trash . Experiencia fantástica: This is my favorite LFS. Very modern and clean, with healthy, well priced fish and corals. They have great deals on supplies as well. Jaime is always very helpful and extremely knowledgeable. Unlike other stores, I have never been suggested a fish or coral that would not thrive in my system, the welfare of the animals is more important then just making a sale. More places should strive to do the same thing!

Experiencia fantástica: I don't know what those back to back flaming reviews are about, but obviously not accurate. Maybe that couple was told that they couldn't put a hippo tang "Dory" into their 10 gallon pico tank or that they should reconsider trying to grow Acropora in a tank running nothing more than a canister filter. At The Reef Gallery you will not find some kids just trying to sell you whatever product or fish they can make money on without knowing anything about it. You will not find algae covered frag plugs or half dead coral. You will not find multiple dead fish in tanks. You will find healthy fish not covered in Ich or velvet. You will find a nice selection of healthy coral at reasonable prices.You will find the most knowledgeable staff that will actually tell you how to improve your success or fix the issues that you are having. Don't take my word for it, call or stop by the store and find out for yourself.

Experiencia fantástica: We're lucky to have some really nice saltwater aquarium stores in Pittsburgh, but Reef Gallery is truly my favorite. Super modern, clean, and unique. Adam is down-to-earth and patient, and VERY knowledgeable. Great prices, tons of nice coral (with the best display system I've ever seen) and he always seems to have some unique and interesting fish you don't see everywhere. Sells RODI freshwater and premixed saltwater by the gallon - I just buy it from him for my nano reefs; way more convenient and better quality. Good selection of high-end frozen food. They have a generous rewards program too. They are a must-visit if you're just starting out or a seasoned fish geek. You won't be disappointed!
