Also When I was a child 10 years old, his father sold me my first fish tank. (Different shop) Craig has always been there to answer questions to give advice whether it’s about fish or tank supplies or life in general. My daughter has grown up going to his shop and is now involved in the hobby THANKS TO CRAIG He’s always made us feel warm and welcome. He is honest and a straight shooter. He is a warehouse of supplies as well as a custom installation, shop and on-site maintenance for fish tanks and ponds. It was great spent about an hour explaining how he set it up and why. Told me things to look for over the next couple days and what our next steps are to building a successful coral tank. The next day, Craig had called to check in on the tank, gave him an update, In fact he knew how anxious my son was to get fish in the tank ( my son negotiated a couple fish from Craig) he kept to his word and brought the fish over, got them acclimated and put in the tank before my son got home from school, imagine his surprise. I feel that Craig’s word was kept, went above and beyond for us on our new hobby. It was a great experience and will always recommend Craig to anyone looking to get there aquariums done correctly. Walking into the Beital aquarium is like walking into an exotic aqua life world, seeing a variety of colorful fish, aqua turtles and snakes, fresh aquatic plants, colorful corals and rocks is breathtaking! The staff is super attentive, helpful, knowledgeable and experienced, taking the time to answer all your questions and describe the details and the process of building the fish tank and taking care of the fish. Experiencia negativa: The lack of care or concern for the beta fish here is soooo disappointing sad and honestly gross. You’d think at a place this large they’d have the facilities to properly care for betas. Than again they have 4 parrots in tiny cages so obviously the priorities aren’t in the right place. If you’re going to house this many animals- care for them properly please!!

The lighting, driftwood, filtration, UV sterilizer, substrate (they rinsed the gravel for me too), heater — all purchased at Beital’s, with Craig’s help. He even showed me how to change the UV sterilizer bulb and other pro tips. I don’t live nearby, so the staff do a nice job packing livestock for the journey back home. I appreciate Craig’s passion for the hobby and enjoy my visits to the facility.

Experiencia fantástica: Wow! Craig is amazing, and the rest of his team. This is the place to come not just for fish and aquarium necessities …. But the knowledge is invaluable. I feel like I get a personalized education and learn something new each time I set foot in here. I have an 8 gallon tank with danios that was looking a little dingy because of the algae … I came looking for an algae eater, thinking more along the lines of an almano shrimp. Craig recommended a hillstream loach, because they won’t grow beyond their current size - making it ideal for an 8 gallon. I never knew such a little creature existed, and I’m SO happy. This new addition is now my favorite … Not to mention, I was looking for a sponge to stop my fish from going into the back of my tank, and Craig grabbed some filter material and gave me a piece free of charge. Just because he is that kind of guy. …. The service is top notch! This place should really have their own TV show because it’s so fabulous. It has everything you know you need, and all of the things you don’t know you need! Save yourself the stress of researching everything on your own - just come here. You’ll be well taken care of, and your fish will thank you!

Before deciding on Beitals, we tried several companies in the area and often felt their primary interest was making as much money as they could each time they came, not the wellbeing of the tank. But not Craig! His associates do an excellent job are very trustworthy. If you have a problem he will try to address it ASAP. He even listened helped me problem solve when he was sick with Covid. I enjoy working Beital's and would not trust my fishies to anyone else!

Experiencia fantástica: Ive been a loyal customer of Beitala for 25 years, and I don’t know which I love more, the incredible selection of fish (freshwater, salt, coral, koi) tanks, and dry goods, or the one of a kind owner, Craig. There is nobody in the tri-state area more knowledgable about anything having to do with every aspect of this hobby, and his personality alone is worth the visit. Unfortunately for me, I moved to Florida 3 years ago, and I'm lost. There's no place in southeast Florida that remotely compare to Beitals. Love and miss you Craig!

The staff is always very friendly and hard at work maintaining the tanks. The owner Craig is very knowledgeable. I had an issue with a drop in my PH and his advice was really helpful. If there is one problem it’s that the stock is so awesome it’s hard for me to choose. I highly recommend this place.

Experiencia negativa: Salt water aquarium fish are healthy and in appropriate tank conditions, all freshwater fish are over crowded and sickly with some having tattered fins and even missing eyes. The freshwater tropical fish are packed in to aquariums - not what you would be looking for in a place that puts their animals health as top priority. The large Macaws have a good cage sizes, but their large loss of feathers indicates their needs are not being met and are stressed out. Maybe more staff that are knowledgeable in animal and fish care could help maintain and improve animal conditions.

Experiencia negativa: Would not recommend purchasing fish here. Fish conditions are poor with tanks over crowded. Fish are sickly and birds are shivering from stress. They have “no picture or video taking” signs up for a reason.

Love this place until 10 of my fish died due 2 some type of bacteria about 5 days later after introducing his aquarium water 2 mine!! Now there's no way 2 prove this but no one can tell me different I've had my tank well over 7 years n NEVER had any issues ever except the normal stuff like nitrate a little high or ammonia high or cloudy water when I first started but never anything like this!! The only thing I did was introduce his water n fish 2 my tank after specific directions 2 do so by him!! Smh, I'm so devastated over 300$ 4 7 fish wasted!!! N my Catfish n bumblebees I raised from little babies 2 10 inches n 6 inches DEAD!

Experiencia fantástica: I bought a 300 gallon used tank off FB marketplace and it started leaking about 6 months after I set it up. I hired Beital’s to reseal it and they went above and beyond with the repairs. Craig and his team are no-nonsense and do things the right way. He also followed up to make sure I was happy with everything and my fish were doing okay. I highly recommend Beital’s if you need anything aquarium related!

He wanted to charge me $3.50 a foot is something you can buy for 10 bucks he was obnoxious and tried to make me pay extra with a debit card I told you I told him, I will never come back here again no wonder nobody was in the store. I don’t know how it keeps in business.. maybe it’s because the rip off prices

The store is huge, and I spent at least an hour wandering through all the hardscape choices and staring at all the fish. When I was ready to get going Craig held my hand through all the choices, often guiding me towards cheaper decisions.

Experiencia fantástica: I live in Ridgefield CT, about 50 miles from Beital's. I had no idea what to expect. I have a koi pond and my pumps stopped working and I could not get any service from anyone locally. When I called the manager painstakingly helped me trouble shoot the problem. He insisted that I bring my pump with me so he could check himself whether or not it was fried, as it is $500 for a new pump. Bottom line the owner Craig spent over 20 minutes with me at his store giving me a pretty good education on my pond, the fish and how to keep them healthy. I was blown away by their customer service and felt like I could trust them completely. He said he has been in business for 30 years and its no wonder they are very successful. He even gave me his cell phone and told me to never hesitate to call. I wish I could give them more then 5 stars. Great place and great people

Craig is THE most knowledgeable person I have EVERY spoken to about all things aquarium. The staff are great. Fish are healthy and beautiful. This is the 110 cichlid tank that he put together for us. We could not be happier. Everything Beitals does is top..... top notch quality. I included a door in the background of one of the photos and the china cabinet in the other so you can get 'perspective' on the beauty of the tank. Sometimes an aquarium shot that is up tight on the tank gives you no perception of what it looks like in the room. Our tank is absolutely beautiful. Note - most of the fish in the tank were from our previous tank, not from Beitals ( a couple are ) Craigs fish are much more colorful, FYI. When we get more fish or anything to do with our aquarium, it will be at Beitals. serious.....

Experiencia fantástica: I have been a customer of Beitals aquariums for over 30 years. He has the largest collection of fish and corals for both freshwater and saltwater. What I like the most is that he is always stocked with parts you need that no one else has. Mail order is great but I like to feel and see for myself what I’m going to put in my reef tank. Beitals is the place to go. I highly recommend them.

Experiencia negativa: I would give zero stars if I could. I went here today looking for neon tetras, I came in and was mortified. Horrendously overstocked fish tanks, for example a tank full of baby turtles and a tank full of catfish with barely any space to swim. There was a tank that was 99 percent fish and you could barely see anything else. There were 4 macaws there, two of which had clearly been plucking off their feathers, and one of those two that had barely and feathers and was shivering. Feather plucking is most often a sign of malnutrition or bad enrichment and I wouldn't be surprised is this was from both. DO NOT SHOP HERE, this is downright animal abuse and there are far better stores to spend your money at.

Craig is extremely knowledgeable and took the time to walk us through setting up new equipment (including labeling which parts go where and added a label for the date we should clean the equipment). We have already had improvement of our water quality. Craig even provides a number that can be reached 24/7 and told us not to hesitate if we had any issues or questions on the setup. The fish and other stock are of high quality and he ensured the compatibility of everything we purchased. We needed to purchase a new aquarium because ours leaked shortly after we moved the tank and he and his staff quickly identified the issue by asking one question over the phone. We come from far away and couldn't get there for a couple days, and they were very accommodating. We travel to Beital's anytime we need something for our tank - including simple things - because of the expertise, service and quality and it's totally worth the time!

Experiencia positiva: Great selection of fish but nothing was labeled or priced. When I asked someone for a price, he never returned. Had to ask someone else. He quoted me 30 for a small angel fish. I will not be returning.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been keeping fish for at least 9 years, and well I don't think I had received service like this ever. The single word I would describe the staff, one in particular, is "Enthusiasm". I had questions when I was setting up a new tank and He answered all my questions to the best of his ability and gave me tips I never knew, something I had not gotten from anyone else. Aside of that, the store has a rich variety of wares, and animals especially fish (both marine and freshwater), turtles, frogs, axolotls, molluscs and crustaceans among others. Distance is the only mild issue I have and that is for me personally. In short, this place is great, coming in to Beital's, you would likely come to a very enthusiastic staff, impeccable service and a wide variety of common and rare animals to choose from.

Experiencia fantástica: The team at Beital built and installed a breathtakingly beautiful 200 gallon marine mixed reef tank at my estate in New Jersey. They were able to do the build and deliver in half the time promised by others in the midst of COVID pandemic and all the logistical challenges that it presented. At the all-day install, they were professional, clean, painstaking and patient. They also maintain the tank - which was deemed too difficult by other big name companies in the area. The level of service and responsiveness is unmatched. On one occasion, while I was out of the country, there was an accident in my tank room that wreaked havoc on the system. Craig, the owner, personally responded to my urgent calls and had a team on site at my house within an hour! Beitel's Aquariums has consistently met and exceeded my expectations.

Experiencia fantástica: This is such a great fish store. They have literally EVERYTHING you need to build a beautiful fish tank. There are literally wall to wall tanks full of fish, reptiles and even birds. The staff was really nice and helpful and answered all of our questions. If saltwater fish are your thing, this is the place for you. They have a huge assortment and saltwater fish scattered throughout a several tall walls of tanks. So many beautiful and interesting fish to check out. We were there looking at Coral rocks to add to our tank and they didnt disappoint! There were so many to choose from.. every shape and size you can imagine. We ended up buying several rocks and our tank is simply gorgeous. I didnt know you werent allowed to take pics of the fish. Im a newbie so I was unaware that it could stress out the fish. I took a couple pics before I noticed the sign. (oops!) I wasnt using a flash so Im pretty sure I didnt do any damage to any fish though. We will definitely be back for more fish or accessories for our tank very soon.

Experiencia negativa: This place is an absolute rip off. If you don't believe me check the prices for yourself. They have an Air pump (Wisper 60) for $45. This same pump sells for $14 to $18 anywhere else. Thats just one of many items they have that are super over priced. My experience there with the owner was very unpleasant. Very rude and condescending and unprofessional. So many other options out there then this place. Buyer beware!
