Experiencia fantástica: This is my only go to spot for freshwater fish. They always have the largest selection and healthiest fish to choose from. They package their fish with bottled oxygen- which helps for the 40 minute drive for me. Plant selection is also top notch. Definitely the highlight on my day when I make a trip there.

Been coming here for years and shopped fairly regularly but this is the second time in the last month or so that I’ve tried to make some purchases but couldn’t get anyone to help me! There was an older lady and a younger lady behind the counter talking to a gentleman with one other person in the store. Noticed the other person was ready to ask a question or make a purchase but made my way around the tanks to see if they had what I wanted. After a while the other person left, I knew what I wanted but soon followed out the door when no one came back to check on anyone or offer any help. While walking out the older lady had a look on her face like she forgot someone else might be in the store that might need assistance so maybe they got caught up in the conversation? Try to make most my aquarium purchases here to support local retailers but maybe business is so good they can afford to watch money walk out the door while focusing all their attention on someone that didn’t appear to be buying anything at all

Experiencia negativa: I’m a tank builder and fish breeder of 10+ years. I’m 32 y/o and have kept fish in the area since I was a child. I’ve seen all the stores. Shame I’m even typing this. Sick fish sold for high prices, as well as selling common fish as rare fish. Two separate occasions. Bought 20 rummynose that had ich as soon as I got them out the bag. This is why I “hospitalize” all new fish when bringing them home. Crisis averted but a very expensive way to bring home problems. Thanks Jeff Another occasion I purchased 6 Geophagus juveniles($125++) that were listed as Sveni(rare) but were actually tapas(common) This is literally my first review. Because I’m not this type of person. But I’ve given them buckets of free plants from my overgrowth that they sell back to you guys. But when it’s time for me to get pets I get sick, overpriced and misidentified fish. I have other instances as well but don’t have all day to share. Too many other businesses to support local and online for people to get their moneys worth from. Dude must take us for stupid.

Staff is always helpful and all the fish I’ve purchased here have been healthy. 100% worth stopping by if you keep freshwater fish or plants.

Experiencia fantástica: Stopped in to pick up Ich treatment for my son's fish. I know absolutely nothing about this. He was busy with school so I did him a favor and went here to pick something up. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by a very friendly & competent employee named, Lily. She took the time to teach me alot about Ich, what causes it, how to treat it, including advice on heaters. I am very appreciative for Lily taking so much time and making the extra effort to help me. I'm going back there today to buy a new heater.

Experiencia fantástica: They were so sweet to me knowing exactly what I wanted. The owner knew I had large fish tanks in the past so they gave me great advice on my tiny 1 and 1/2 gallon tank. I'm just setting into my gutted, then rebuilt home after being evacuated for almost 10 months due to hurricane Ida, and the tree that breached our roof into the attic. My husband passed away while we were evacuated so I am just taking this one day at a time. I now have Causeway Pets as my new goto fish tank and supplies shop.

Experiencia fantástica: Best place I’ve found to get fish and supplies for my aquarium. I’m an enthusiast when it comes to keeping aquariums and even though I’ve had a few for about 7 years, I really don’t know much. I was used to going to the big box stores but quickly realized they didn’t know much. Two years ago I moved to this area and one day decided to just stop by and take a look at their store and in just 10 minutes I learned so much! I had an empty tank and they helped me fill it with the proper species and most importantly, the proper quantity of fish so that it would thrive. This is the only place I go to now a days for all my aquarium needs.

Experiencia negativa: Very disappointed in the owners attitude, I understand why mom and pop pet shops are falling off the map. Have some consideration and support local breeders and propagate the hobby. 50 Fathoms will be getting my business from here on out. It's a shame this place is closer and used to be my go too..... In Responce; It wasn't the fact that you don't deal with local hobbyists. It was your attitude. I run a small business as well and for my nephew to look at me when we got in the truck and ask me if you and I had a bad business deal or something means you made a sever negative impact on him as well. I was very disappointed as for years you were my go to guy.

Experiencia fantástica: I love this place. Prices are really reasonable, fish are well cared for, and it does have the best prices on driftwood. Husband and I love going to walk around, look at the fish, dream about tanks, and buy all our driftwood. We also love the LARGE amazon swords they offer. It was just what we needed for our hex tank as well as for our 110. They are knowledgeable, have other stuff besides fish, and are just all around a great local store.

Experiencia fantástica: Causeway pets is a place you can go to get all of your aquatic needs. This place is awesome. Located near the causeway. They have wonderful tropical fish as well as cichlids. They are very knowledgeable about anything to do with your aquatic needs. They also have hard to find items. I recently bought a white crawfish and also some angelfish! They also have wonderful plans that I purchased for my tank! This place is great!

Experiencia fantástica: A very nice variety of small community/ schooling fish and at very good prices. About $2+ dollars cheaper from other stores depending on what your looking for. The gentleman was very helpful and kind although not extremely knowledgeable about all the fish they carry. They don't have any large aggressive fish which doesn't bother me because I go to 50 Fathoms if I am looking for those.

Experiencia positiva: The owner didn't even acknowledge me when I walked in, or after walking around the small 200 sqft. store for 10 minutes. Finally after getting his attention, I tried to ask which fish would co-habitate with the ones I had picked out. All I got was cold one-word answers, not helpful at all. Tried asking what type of food would be best, same flat response "any type of food." Asked if the fish died within a certain time span (24 hrs.) if I could come back and replace the fish, to which he just kind of laughed at me. Long story short, all the fish died after 1 day, despite me taking all the necessary precautions. Didn't even get so much as a "Thanks" for my business after spending $60 there. It's very unlikely I will return. This guy either didn't know, or just wasn't willing to share his knowledge. Maybe he was just having a bad day. At least Pet Smart lets you get new fish if they die, they're probably friendlier and more knowledgable as well. However, if I need cheap feeder fish that I'm not worried about keeping alive, I know where to go.

Experiencia positiva: Great selection of fish and fish supplies. They do carry some reptiles when available. Also a good place for live feeders. With their selection and friendly staff I do wish that they would expand but why change what has worked for so long. Great local pet shop.

Today I called needing some info that would lead to me coming in to make a purchase and basically got hung up on by a female worker after being asked to wait on hold to answer my question. Need to make sure you're always treating customers with top notch customer service. This should not deter you from doing business there, but hopefully is seen by management to improve this.
