🗣️ Acuario Seaport: Opiniones
Experiencia fantástica: This was a very fun experience! There were plenty of diverse animals to observe, and they all seemed healthy and well taken care of. Pros: The place is well maintained, along with the staff being very friendly. The payment process is very straightforward. Overall a great time. Cons: It feels a little unclear what you are getting yourself into at first, since you have to walk through an alleyway in the boardwalk to reach the actual aquarium.
Experiencia fantástica: Cool small aquarium. Something different to do in Wildwood. Nice animals on display. You can touch the small stingrays & feed the piranha
Experiencia positiva: Small aquarium had a nice visit.
Experiencia fantástica: Grand Daughter loved it
Experiencia fantástica: I came here on a whim while on a walk on the boardwalk, and no joke, i spent like 2 hours in here just hanging out either all of the animals, this place is such a hidden gem in wildwood, and if you ever have to chance to visit, i 100% recommend coming here. Not only were all of the animals really cool, but the staff was so nice!! They answered all if my questions and agreed with my request of getting some keychains for their gift shop. Next time i come down here, i am totally visiting again!
Experiencia fantástica: Fun place to visit and get out of the sun. A small place, but don't let that discourage you. We had fun and learned that axolotols area real.
Experiencia fantástica: The Marmosets are my sons favorite ! We wait all year!
Experiencia negativa: Animal cruelty you'll love it if you're into that kind of thing.
Experiencia fantástica: Cool little aquarium with some touch ponds, and tanks with some really neat animals
Experiencia fantástica: Fun little place to quick visit on the boardwalk
Experiencia positiva: Fairly priced but not very large. Nice place to stop in if it's too hot or raining.
Experiencia fantástica: Me and my wife loved this aquarium! The owner is a really nice guy and he made our experience very enjoyable. The little gift store was also cute
Experiencia fantástica: Such a nice place and the staff is extremely friendly. I highly recommend it !
Experiencia fantástica: This place is awesome. The staff was so friendly and $12 adult admission was a reasonable price for what you got to see (monkeys, snakes, frogs, alligators, fish, sharks, etc.) The best part is you get a stamp on your hand that allows you to enter throughout the day with no extra fee! My group also enjoyed the touch tanks and feeding areas as well as the tunnel you could crawl through. Excellent addition to our trip.
Experiencia fantástica: We've visited the aquarium every time we come down to wildwood . It's always clean , staff is friendly . Before you enter you'll get a stamp on your hand and you can come back the same day if you want to for no extra cost. They have a gift shop as well. My son loves feeding the fish and turtles ! We went last Friday, no line no wait . Although I have been there while it was crowded before and had to wait in line .
Experiencia positiva: Was nice, and reasonably priced. Will recommend others to go at least once !
Experiencia fantástica: The aquarium was nice and I enjoyed seeing the animals and the marine lives. We saw one of the wild species of axolotls. It was the first time I've ever seen one in person. I would recommend going them because of how polite the staffs were. It was crowded but the lines moved fast. I touched a stingray and it felt slimy. I touched a starfish and it felt like it had really rough skin. I liked the albino raccoon and it looked like a different animal. The softshell turtle had a long neck. The marmosets were creepy but my sister fell in love with them. The alligator and comodo dragons at the entrance fooled me and I thought they were real. I recommend going with your kids. They will love it just like I did (I am a kid).
Experiencia fantástica: Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. It’s a great experience that is different from the other attractions on the Wildwood boardwalk. The animals are rescues that more than likely would not survive otherwise so it’s great that they are given a chance to live and be cared for. We spoke with the owner that clearly cares a lot for these animals. $12 is not a bad price at all to touch sharks and sting rays or see some really cool animals up close.
Experiencia fantástica: Super cute. Worth the 12$
Experiencia positiva: Not the most expansive aquarium. But does allow the touching of stingrays, hermit crabs and cat sharks. So very cool for the kids and inexpensive. Nice distraction from the normal Wildwood experience.
Experiencia fantástica: We were very grateful for a wonderful experience! Multiple animals and you wouldn’t expect the different species you get to see within the space. Very kid friendly and romantic for couples!
Experiencia fantástica: Really good place to visit 12$ per adult 8$ per kid Different kinds of animals and fish And you can touch everything You can buy food to feed the fish for 50 cents Many kinds of fish tanks As an adult, I enjoyed it to a break from songs and sales on boardwalk like you went to a different place And their is no time limit for staying, leave when the kids want to Definitely will go again with every visit to wildwood Boardwalk ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Experiencia fantástica: very clean, good selection of animals for a boardwalk aquarium (about 30 different species). clear signage explaining animals and their habitats throughout exhibits. can renter throughout the day with hand stamp. very good price for admission, would go again!
Experiencia negativa: This place is not even close to worth the price. Most enclosures seemed too small for animals it contained. A turtle was literally trying again and again to escape from the koi pond. I feel bad for the turtle
Experiencia fantástica: So amazing going here it's small but you can spend as much time as you want and back track as well. We always make sure we visit every vacation and super affordable
Experiencia fantástica: Fun place, enjoyed seeing those live gators, but that shark gave me the chills ! Oh boy, amazing Thank you !
Experiencia positiva: Some of the pens seemed a little small. But, the animals look well taken care of.
Experiencia positiva: It seemed like none of the fish moved. They said they were real, but I thought they were fake
Experiencia fantástica: We could spend hours there!
Experiencia fantástica: Great place for the kids!!!
Experiencia positiva: So, it's $12 or adults to get in. I mean, it's reasonable. It's a small space but honestly for a boardwalk situation, there is quite a bit to see from sharks, turtles, Morey eels, fish and other mammals. Sure, it feels like it's "too small" but also, I don't honestly know how much space they would need in real life. Seems to be the same as in a bigger aquarium.... Also, water may seem "dirty" but isn't it dirtier in the wild??? I thought it was perfect for a little break from the boardwalk.
Experiencia positiva: It is $12/adult. Small aquarium well put together. Petting tanks were nice. There is an area to rinse hands before and after interaction. We got to pet cat sharks, starfish, stingrays, and another type of small shark. You are able to purchase food to feed the piranhas, turtles, and koi. I like how most of the animals were rescued and some had their stories listed. Diverse aquatic life is displayed. Small gift shop at the end. Good for young children and needing to past the time.
Experiencia fantástica: Cute place for the kids and any other ocean animal lover
Experiencia positiva: It's a nice little aquarium that also has a few small land animals. It's very atmospheric, but it is a little cramped once you get inside.
Experiencia negativa: It should be a crime that this place calls itself an aquarium. Save yourself the trouble and don't bother going here. I made a 40 minute drive to show my kids some fish and was very disapointed. They had maybe 10 different species of underwater animals. If you're on the boardwalk already and have kids under the age of 5, you might get a few minutes of enjoyment here.
Experiencia negativa: The aquarium is very cramped, both for the animals and humans. While I’m not an expert, it's evident that the space provided is insufficient for these large animals. All the animals are housed in a single, relatively small room. Too small for alligators, let alone the other species. Witnessing them in such conditions was disheartening, most appeared quite miserable, often found sleeping during my visit. I would not recommend this attraction for families or children, as the sight of cramped enclosures and dirty water, is far from pleasant.
Experiencia negativa: Prices are way different than online, and the animals look absolutely miserable. Dirty, and not well kept. Koi are stressed out from turtles constantly attacking them. Happened 10/15 times just while we stood there. Wish we didn't waste the money honestly. And we love aquariums. But the enclosures for the animals and larger sharks are way too small for them. One of the saddest sights I've ever seen as someone who looks forward to things like this.
Experiencia fantástica: Definitely worth the $12!!! There were a lot more animals than I thought there’d be and you can pet a good amount of them!
Experiencia fantástica: Nice small aquarium, reasonably priced, air conditioned, very clean, my 2 yr old grandson enjoyed his 1st aquarium experience!
Experiencia positiva: A lot smaller than expected. Petting tanks were cool. We got to pet cat sharks, starfish, stingrays, and another type of small shark. The albino raccoon was cute. I like how most of the animals were rescued and some had their stories listed.
Experiencia positiva: Killed about 20 minutes for us they have lots of fish and mammals. They hand stamp you and it takes for ever to wash off. It was a bummer they didn’t have gold fish to feed to the piranhas.
Experiencia negativa: This place is terrible and I do not recommend going. Me and my friend went and we both know a good amount about animals but even without that knowledge we could easily tell that some of the animals were not living in the conditions that they need. For example there are 3 large American alligators in a very small area and a VERY small amount of water for even just one that they need to live comfortably. Also the food situation for the alligators is fine in its own front but dose not suffice what they need for enrichment and are probably hostile because of that, But I can’t guarantee that. The moray eels, American snapping turtles, and white tip sharks are not in a space large enough for them either. There is however a few animals with a good amount of space and good environments like the hedgehog and albino raccoon. This is not a good place to take your family to see happy animals.
Experiencia fantástica: Had a good variety of aquatic life, cold blooded animals and small critters I haven’t seen. I can’t recommend this place on the boardwalk enough for families with children visiting the shore. My children thoroughly enjoyed it.
Experiencia negativa: It’s not 9.95, it is $12.00 per adult, which is ridiculous for the amount of animals you get to see (overpriced) imo. Hand stamp was stuck on my wrist for several days. The nine animals you see on the front stand is literally all you get to see. All the animals look so sad and the tanks they keep the eels and other animals in are so freaking small. The animals seem depressed and that’s important because they were not getting out of their hiding spots. Even the sharks just sat there because there wasn’t much room to swim in. The amount of room the merch and stuffed toys took up could have seriously been used for the animals. They didn’t have even try to make the enclosures look nice, they threw in kids toys! The koi fish area was large and pretty but wasn’t new because I’ve seen it in Sushi restaurants. It was practically empty. Overall unimpressed. Unless you have small kids who are easily impressed, this was not worth it.
Experiencia positiva: Nice reprieve from the boardwalk. Animals appear to be well cared for but not a lot to see.
Experiencia negativa: I think the alligators are fake. All most all of the animals were sleep except the fish. The piranhas didn’t eat the fish we paid for. A waste of money again. Won’t be visiting again. But I’m calling the BBB bc me and my husband really think them alligators are fake. 6/15/2024
Experiencia fantástica: relatively small but accurately priced. 33% military discount. not as many tanks as you would hope for, but made up for in the other enclosures. no wait time during peak hours, not many people inside to try to look around. piranha tank was cool, as you can pay to feed them live goldfish. worth a visit if you're in the area.
Experiencia negativa: Very cruel to have have such beautiful large animals in this environment...This place should either be modified to make it more humane or shut down...
Experiencia negativa: Please update your hours to show you are closed. Here on Thurs 3/28 at 12:06 pm. Google says open. You are not.
Experiencia negativa: This is the most depressing place I have ever been to. It honestly should be shut down. The poor alligators are the worst part. I don’t know how anyone can leave this place a good review. I would never come back here. Praying someone steps in and closes its doors soon!!!
Experiencia positiva: Don't go expecting a full-blown aquarium like the ones in Baltimore and Camden. This is a "boardwalk attraction." There is a lot to see here, but you can see everything in less than an hour. Look for discount coupons.
Experiencia positiva: A small Aquarium with a collection of rescued animals, reptiles and 2 large touch tanks. My kids loved having the opportunity to gently touch sharks, sting rays and horseshoe crabs. I loved the adorable marmosets. It is also home to 3 large alligators that used to call a basement in Philly home. A small souvenir shop is also local inside and for an small fee, you can feed goldfish to piranhas or feed the koi or turtles. This is an affordable activity that you and your kids will enjoy.
Experiencia negativa: we walked all the way down here to find the building abandoned. graffiti on the walls and it looked like a ghost town. please update google that you are no longer open.
Experiencia positiva: Cute little aquarium/zoo. They have a lot of rescued animals which is wonderful. I had a pleasant time and the price was only $12.
Experiencia negativa: The animals looks dead and paralazyed, for over 50 dollars we got to see starved sharks withing a 2 by 2 space. The sharks looked dead mostly because sharks need to move to use their gills but they were all stationary. It was almost as though they were sedated. Absolute waste of money, 50 dollars and there wasn't even enough space to walk for 10 minutes, waste of time and money. I am being genuine when I say if you walk into a petsmart you will get a better animal viewing experience and guess what, you dont have to pay a damn thing
Experiencia fantástica: Owner is very caring towards the animals he takes care of, continually improving their habitats. They take in rescues and give them a safe home and provide educational info to visitors. Wonderful experience.
Experiencia fantástica: So great especially for the price! You got to see and do more than I thought! It was a lovely surprise and the staff was incredible!
Experiencia positiva: Decent experience for the price. Petting area was large and you are able to purchase food to feed the piranhas as well as the turtles and koi. There were several exhibits of animals that you can't pet also.
Experiencia positiva: Very cute MINI aquarium. The whole space takes about 30-40 minutes to enjoy. The kids enjoyed the touch tanks and seeing the rescued animals. They were able to feed the turtles and the koi fish.
Experiencia fantástica: We go here ever year since my son and daughter was very young
Experiencia positiva: It was small, but what you'd expect for a boardwalk aquarium. They had many animals that had been rescued and it was neat to see the stories on the animals. You can feed some of the animals and there is a touch tank. It was cute for the kids.
Experiencia positiva: Nice small aquarium! A little pricey, but you are on the boardwalk and some of them are rescues !! So I will happily support them!
Experiencia positiva: Small aquarium to visit while on the boardwalk in wildwood. Mainly for young children - the up keep of the premises and the animal enclosures could have been better; they appeared to be somewhat dirty and neglected. The staff were friendly and the cost of souvenirs were reasonable.
Experiencia negativa: I’m giving a 2 stars ONLY because the staff was nice. Everything else was terrible. The place is dirty, the animals are sick. I don’t know how those big animals can be caged in those tiny cells, they look sad and depressed, I’m surprised this place is authorized to be open. Horrible experience, I would not recommend. I didn’t even feel like taking picture because I didn’t want to look around too close, I just wanted to get out.
Experiencia fantástica: Very friendly animals and staff. Some of the animals just sleep. Some animals you can't pet for obvious reasons like the alligators and the snapping turtles. The place wasn't varry crowded which I thought it would be a perfect place to hang out with someone or go to if traveling. This is a life long experience I will have to remember.
Experiencia negativa: I am an avid lover of all animals, I'm heavily involved with many different domesticated animals and I love to visit zoos and aquariums that are ethical. Luckily before today I always did my research and only have supported sanctuaries that are heavily based on education and conservation. The only "plus" to this place was the ticket price but after going through I can see why. I only saw two enclosures with any form of enrichment, and none of the animals seemed anywhere near content or happy. Some said "rescued" but I do not consider taking animals out of one bad or neglectful environment and putting them into another one "rescued". The ones that stuck out to me to be the most unfit enclosures, were the sharks, eels, alligators, and tortoises. If the owners actually care about any of these animals they would get more funding or shut down and let these animals go to sanctuaries that actually care about the welfare of these animals. I would be giving 0 stars if I could.
Experiencia negativa: Really sad to see the tortoises outside fighting to get out of the cage. All the animals seem unhappy and distressed in such small confined faces. One tank only had artificial coal and seaweed, nothing natural for the poor animal. The hedgehog was curled up in the corner hiding because it's habitat had bright lights shining all over, they are nocturnal animals! I love going to zoos and aquariums but this had me extremely upset, I left quickly and was tearful. Very sad place.
Experiencia positiva: Small but very enjoyable for the kids!
Experiencia positiva: I come to Wildwood every year. This was my first time visiting. It's a small indoor aquarium with small sting rays, small and medium-sized sharks, crocodiles, Koi Fish, monkeys, turtles and different reptiles. You are able to come back and visit throughout the day as long as your hand is stamped. I would recommend it, especially for the little ones.
Experiencia negativa: Tanks are way too small. And the first monkey exhibit was infested with roaches, and one of the sharks could not turn around in its exhibit. And the alligator tank was way too small. And They rescue some of the animals. But is this really rescuing them with the small enclosures there in.
Experiencia negativa: Not sure you can call them rescue animals if you’re just going to put them into another uncomfortable situation. Enclosures are way too small and animals are clearly not getting the care they require. SKIP.
Experiencia fantástica: Worth a visit, can touch starfish, rays, sharks, and hermit crabs. A starfish climbed up on my hand and didn't want to leave, then neither did I lol. Staff was really friendly, don't forget there's a tip box near the exit.
Experiencia fantástica: There are tons of bad reviews on this one, however this is one of my favorite places on a boardwalk so let me give you my pros and rebuttals. Pros: Rescued - I think most animals are rescued which gives them better environments and gives them a nice story. Staff - The staff is on another level of human existence I swear. They are crazy helpful and super nice. Interactivity - You can do so much in this aquarium which is why its so good for kids. Animal Appeal - This place has some of the coolest animals, and there is tons of appeal. Rebuttals: “Inhumane” - I think the cages are nice and bigger than that of a pet store. As well as this they get fed and cared for intensively, more than a petstore. “Boring” / “Too short” - For me and my family it’s never been that way. In fact I think if you go slowly and really watch all the beautiful animals, it’ll turn out to be long. All in all, this place is amazing and doesn’t warrant any of the negative reviews it is getting.
Experiencia fantástica: One of our favorite spots on the boardwalk, they do their best for the rescued animals on display.
Experiencia positiva: My experience at the Seaport Aquarium in Wildwood, N.J., was a mixed bag, and I'm rating it a solid three out of five stars. On the one hand, I found the staff at the aquarium to be extremely friendly and helpful. The owners were happy to answer any questions about the various species on display. Diverse aquatic life is displayed, from colorful tropical fish to placid, slow-moving turtles. This diversity of species appeals to curious minds of all ages. The interactive touch pool was a highlight of the visit. A sense of excitement and discovery comes from gently handling a live turtle or seeing a stingray up close. This interactive pool experience is an opportunity that few places provide, and I found it quite educational. However, there were aspects of the Seaport Aquarium that I found troubling. The aquarium seemed overcrowded with marine life. While the owners stress that many animals are rescued, I question whether these creatures' current conditions are the most humane. It didn't appear all animals were getting the care and space they needed. In addition, feeding goldfish to the piranhas for an extra fee was off-putting. While I understand this is a natural food source for piranhas in the wild, witnessing it in this environment felt more like a spectacle than an educational moment. Lastly, despite its location being conveniently nestled in the bustling Wildwood Boardwalk, making it easily accessible for visitors already in the area, the overall impression I got was that the aquarium could use more resources, possibly from local or state-level involvement, to ensure proper care for all its residents. In summary, while the Seaport Aquarium offers a hands-on educational experience and houses a variety of marine life, improvements could be made in terms of animal welfare and the overall visitor experience.
Experiencia fantástica: Had an awesome time at seaport aquarium highly recommend anybody with children and are at Wildwood to go here. It was a rainy day today so we figured we would go somewhere indoors and absolutely love the aquarium
Experiencia fantástica: I highly recommend going here it's an excellent family, or even alone fun activity. I've been going here for years it has a little bit of everything at a reasonable price.
Experiencia positiva: It’s very small. You can literally walk through the whole place in 3-4 minutes. The staff was very friendly though. $12 for adults, $8 for children under 6.
Experiencia positiva: Fun place. Quite a few exhibits including ones where you may touch the animals. They have an enormous eel they said is 30 years old!
Experiencia fantástica: Was fun little attraction for a quick distraction from the boardwalk.
Experiencia positiva: Nice experience, they have various species to see.
Experiencia negativa: Please don’t support this place. 2 White Tip reef sharks in a tank wayyyy to small for their size. Almost all the animals in this place are abused. They say some of the animals are “saved”, but they were just put in hell. Once again please don’t support this place!!!
Experiencia fantástica: A simple but very nice and interactive place.
Experiencia positiva: Nice small attraction.
Experiencia negativa: This place was incredibly sad to see. The animals enclosures were so small. Three large gators in an enclosure with a very small pool and barely enough room to walk around. A moray eel in a tank you could fit inside your home, moray eels are not small eels. The eel also seemed to have a large wound on it. Koi pond not deep enough or large enough for the size and quantity of fish inside of it. All the fish tanks were too small for the size of fish that were in them. The enclosures with small animals like lizards and a frog were dirty. Not to mention the two sharks inside an empty small tank. Overall this place was just depressing to see and not worth the money. Go to a bigger better aquarium. Quality of life matters more than putting these animals on display. You get when you pay for I guess but this wasn’t even worth the $11 I payed for it.
Experiencia fantástica: Took my 5 yr and 8 yr old there yesterday and they had so much fun, nice clean place friendly informative staff and the best value on the boardwalk.my grandson definitely enjoyed touching a shark!!
Experiencia fantástica: Kids enjoyed this and fairly priced
Experiencia fantástica: Animals are well cared for and there are many more than I anticipated! We had a great time and it was something fun and different to do along the boardwalk.
Experiencia positiva: Alittle expensive for all the more thats there but it's a fun little break from the normal boardwalk shops that the kids can fully enjoy. Who doesn't love petting sharks
Experiencia positiva: It is definitely an aquarium, you can not deny that. Our kids loved it.
Experiencia positiva: Very small but they make good use of their space and the kids loved it. Not as elaborate as many other aquariums but conveniently located for an hour or so break from the boardwalk.
Experiencia positiva: Excellent, caring staff who are super-friendly and genuinely care about all of the animals. It's a great break from the heat and a good way to support rescued wildlife. Some of these creatures are very happy for the interaction and the koi fish can't get enough fish food! It's a good stop on your way up and then back down the boardwalk.
Experiencia fantástica: Great place worth your money. Admission gets you the whole day and there's lots of animals there that go beyond just an aquarium!
Experiencia positiva: A good place to burn 45 min if you take your time but it's more of a sideshow attraction so don't be expecting 100k gallon tanks with tons of fish. There's several touch tanks with sharks, skates and sea stars. The monkeys are fun to play around with because they follow you back and forth in their enclosure.
Experiencia negativa: Didn't give it 1 star only because there were rescued animals in the building and the staff was friendly and informative. Unfortunately though, it was a sad, cheesy 5-10 minute display of several random species and some too big for their habitats. This was no "aquarium". Save your time and money.
Experiencia fantástica: Kind of small but very cool. A lot of very interesting animals to look at and learn about. Knowledgeable and friendly staff! We loved touching the sting rays! Perfect activity for a rainy day on the boardwalk. Thanks! ♡♡
Experiencia fantástica: Smaller then I expected but fun all the same.
Experiencia negativa: I came to the aquarium because I saw so many bad reviews about how the enclosures were way too small for the animals; I decided to go to see for myself so I could post a review one way or another, as I have worked at PetSmart where you need to know the required tank sizes for certain fish and figured my opinion would be useful here. I was honestly appalled by some of what I saw; a huge moray eel was being kept in a tank that probably wouldn't even allow it to stretch all the way to its full length, and the alligators' habitat seemed way too small to be able to properly accommodate 3 animals. The aquarium is also very small and I would say it's not worth the $11 admission fee. It took me about 15 minutes to get through. I'm giving the aquarium 2 stars instead of 1 because they did have a fair number of specified "rescue animals", and I believe that they are being well cared for, but I still can't get past the small enclosure sizes. If you're looking for something to do on the boardwalk, I would skip the aquarium.
Experiencia fantástica: Adorable little aquarium great for an hour with the kids. They had a nice variety of lizards, sharks, fish, eels, crabs, fresh water fish and turtles as well as 3 alligators and some small monkeys! The animals were in great care and condition and the staff was incredibly warm, friendly, inviting and accommodating. It was seriously the greatest little stop on the boardwalk for my Littles. Price was beyond fair (cheap for the Boardwalk actually) and you could get a stamp to return within the dame day!
Experiencia positiva: Super run down. Honestly, rated it a 3 only because my kids liked it but it is nothing great. Ceiling tiles falling down and overall just pretty dirty.
