Experiencia positiva: Staff inside the establishment were very friendly and welcoming. They addressed any questions my children or I had with patience and full attention. The animals featured ranged from aquatic animals like sting rays and fish to land animals, such as snakes and a porcupine. The reason for the removed star was the chaos in the process of getting in. While patrons are waiting in line, it is more courteous and efficient to inform them of the requirement of completing a waiver prior to purchasing tickets, so that when they reach the counter the only hurdle is purchasing the tickets, and not having them to step aside to complete the waiver and wait again to finally purchase tickets (which, by the way, are pretty expensive, compared to other Texas cities who have similar aquarium set ups). The have a decent selection of items at the gift shop, which is on the side of the ticket counter.

Experiencia negativa: The enclosures are so small that the poor animals are pacing back and forth desperately. A baby kangaroo kept trying to look out the window for a change and when I asked an employee if the porcupine had a bigger area to walk around in he mentioned there's a small hideout on the other side of his enclosure (which is only 3 feet long). They also increased the price for playing with the otters to around $80/ person. Overall sad experience.

Experiencia fantástica: We visited Jungle Reef as a family summer trip and thought it was pretty awesome. My husband paid extra for a snake experience where he got to hold a python that was a 150 pounds. The sting rays were my favorite. Would visit again

Experiencia negativa: For an aquarium in a mall it was ok. I’d say it’s 2.5 stars. They have sting rays you can pet but that’s really the only really cool thing. You could probably take about 30 minutes around this place and that would feel too long. They do have sharks but the big ones you want to see hide in the corner. Not like it’s the aquariums fault but it is a downfall. They are also trying to sell you food to feed to the animals the whole time. They ask you when you come in the door and people ask when you are inside looking at the sting rays and what not. They also say “the birds are sleeping” from 2:00-3:00, but that’s just when they clean the cage for some reason. So if you go at that time you don’t get to see the birds and some other things behind them. Overall not a negative experience but not great.

Experiencia fantástica: I bring my son here every few months and he loves it! You can feed and touch all of the animals. The otters are so adorable! 65% of the animals here are rescues, it's clean and the staff is so friendly! We have seen staff feed and teach about different animals, and most recently, my son was disappointed the otters were not out yet. We asked Steve, the manager, and he explained they were sleeping...BUT he took us to where they sleep so we could still see the otters! We love it here! Great place to bring kids and the family!!

Experiencia fantástica: Now that the craze has died down, this is much more mellow place to visit. The animals were varied and interesting and there were more than a few hands on experiences. I'm not an expert, so I could be wrong, but the animals seemed to be well cared for. The prices were fairly reasonable though you'll probably want at leas a couple tokens per kiddo to go with the birds and feed the finish. The walloby and the Patagonian mara were the most interesting.

Experiencia fantástica: My family and I had a blast at Jungle Reef yesterday!! The staff was friendly, there was a good variety of animals in there, and it was fun for the whole family. My 3yo loved feeding the parakeets, my 6yo fell in love with Nubs and the otters, my husband loved watching the sharks and I wanted to take Buster the porcupine home with me, he was so playful and cute!! My kids are already asking when we get to go back :)

Experiencia fantástica: Took my 4 year on her birthday and she absolutely loved it! The staff is very kind, patient and professional. The entire area involves: petting sting rays, a small aquarium that had small and large fish. There's all sorts of reptiles, sea otters, birds, and so much more. They also offer feeding and some petting. One part that took me by surprise was their gift shop... They don't sell their products 75% over retail price like most gift shops do. Overall, I really enjoyed the small experience but what I enjoyed the most was seeing my 4 year old having so much fun on her birthday.

Experiencia fantástica: If I could leave more stars I would. I took my nieces and they had a blast. It’s really not that expensive to enter, and the add on tokens are reasonably priced as well. It’s a very spacious place. We went while there was a school group and it did not feel crowded at all. It says touch aquarium but there’s more than just fish in there. The handlers really know their stuff about the animals and gave the girls really interesting facts. All the staff there is very friendly and nice. You can get up close and personal with the animals and there’s activities for the little ones to do. The handlers we had even let them feed the sharks which they have yet to stop talking about. If you have a chance I encourage you to stop and check this unique place out. There is nowhere else in the west Texas area where you’ll be able to touch a stingray. Jungle Reef is top notch!

Experiencia positiva: It’s was a smaller place than most aquariums I’ve been to, but it was very diverse to make up for it. They have various, fish, birds, reptiles and otters! The staff really made it an enjoyable experience and even came up to us to show us more critters.

Experiencia negativa: Very unpleasant experience. The pricing is through the roof, they give you a crap ton of tokens but the machines cost and arm and a leg to play them. Not to mention the fact that most of them are either not complete, or not working. The shop where you change tokens for prizes is also very bad, I could get more out of the trash can outside the PF Changs… they only had gum and candy as a selection. The other prizes were costing 1k and up.

Experiencia fantástica: We bought tickets the same day and on Tuesday since it was more affordable for me. The over all price for both me and my son was decent. The exhibits were so nice. My son loved everything from the cute little treasure hunt, the sting rays, the fish, the wallaby, the birds and the rock activity. The staff were also so friendly and very knowledgeable, they seemed very eager to help and serve us. It was also very clean and all of the animals looked happy and well taken care of. I highly recommend this park to anyone. Especially if you have little kids. It was fun to watch my son light up when he'd interact with the animals.

Experiencia negativa: My fam and I were with sting rays and next to us was a different fam splashing the water and we got blame for it! No biggie but after trying to tell them it wasn’t us, they started making things unfair for my kids! Tried their otter cage and right when we were next it closed!! We walked away and maybe 3 minutes later open again! We got in line and then the otters were close again!! Can’t believe this!!! That’s so unfair!!!

The enclosures seemed well maintained and I appreciated the accessible hand washing stations. I was also impressed with the employees! They were all very helpful, kind and knowledgeable about the animals. El Paso really needed something like this. We will definitely be back again soon!

The animals were great but these 3 workers took their time explaining each animal we interacted with. People like that make a huge difference to an experience. Thank you guys for all of that help.

Experiencia negativa: Visited some time last year, after family suggested it. The website alone seemed to not answer very important questions, so I was hesitant. Once arrived, almost all my concerns were validated. Immediately, there was the smell of fish waste and stale water present throughout, which most respectable aquariums do not have. It also seemed like there was no system in place to prevent the animals from being overfed or otherwise harmed by the revolving door of customers. I normally don't bother to leave negative reviews, but in this case it matters, because a bad restaurant is one thing, but potential mistreatment of animals needs to be addressed.

Experiencia fantástica: Cute aquarium with plenty of activities for kids to do! Admission is separate from coins to feed some of the animals there, so come prepared! Staff were very friendly and so enthusiastic about showing us all the reptiles and animals! You can definitely keep yourself occupied for a couple of hours here!

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been meaning to leave a review but my daughter’s 2nd birthday was last month and we took her to Jungle Reef for the day. And she had the most amazing day the staff here was so great. When the heard it was her birthday, they gave her a fish stuffed animal and she was so happy. She lost it and they gave her another one without hesitation. Every staff member made it a point to make her birthday amazing and gave her the best experiences it was really heartwarming. The animals are really well taken care of and you can tell that every staff member really cared for the animals and loved their job. It really was a great day. Thank you!!

Experiencia fantástica: Randomly found this place with my family , by far exceeded my expectations , not only did they have way more to offer than I expected, but the STAFF!!!! Every single one of their staff members that we encounter were sooooo friendly !!!! , and each of them had fun facts about each of the animals in the exhibits. You can feed most of the animals there and it’s not just aquatic animals !!! It was so cool my 11 year old is now requesting this place for her birthday , thanks again everyone who was working you made our day today!

Experiencia negativa: I went two weeks after it opened so you would think it would be nice. Half of the exhibits did not have animals. They were not clean and you had to pay to see anything. The fish tanks were covered in green algae. The turtles were crawling through their own poop because the enclosure was so dirty. The only thing we really got to see were the birds and we still had to pay to see that.

Experiencia negativa: Honestly not worth the money we spent. The only nice thing was the koi fish pond. Not a ton of people but still waited a long time to see the birds. For the “barn” they had a few of us crammed in together to go in…and they had a tortoise and “a kangaroo species”. It would make sense to have actual farm animals in the barn. Very disappointing. I’m not a confrontational person but if I was, I would have asked for a refund.

Experiencia fantástica: I came here with my child, I was actually very impressed with it. Ive grown up on the west coast and went to aquariums and zoos frequently as a kid. I would say this was way interactive than others I’ve been to. My kid loved walking around and seeing the variety of animals. I was actually very impressed with the amount of animals/reptiles they had and how you can interact with them! Way more to see than the El Paso zoo in my opinion.

Experiencia fantástica: Absolutely amazing staff!! Everyone was so kind, and even though we came on a random weekday in the off season they gave us an unforgettable experience!! You can interact with almost all the critters with the basic entry pass, the extras are for food to feed the animals, and special interactions like handfeeding birds/otters. These are almoat all based off a token system that is VERY reasonably priced!! The pass works all day, so we left to get lunch and came back a few times. Everyone there loves these animals so much, and its evident by how lively and healthy these lil critters look. Anytime an animal is looking/acting stressed they put the care of the animal first and ensure the guests are aware. Cannot recommend enough!!!!!

Experiencia positiva: Can get a bit crowded during weekends, best when going on an odd hour on a weekday. Buy tickets online, have your Transaction ID ready for proof of purchase! Don't forget to buy some "tokens" that are traded for animal feed, and entry to 2 specific animal enclosures.
