Experiencia fantástica: The tickets to the conservatory are very inexpensive. We only stayed for about 40 minutes (in the morning) saw at least 7 manatees. Would definitely recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: What an awesome place to visit. The kiddos, wife, and I learned so much about Manatees and their plight. Would definitely recommend giving a visit if you need something to do that takes a couple hours. They've even got a salt tank that they can point out different species of salt water muscles and shrimps.

Experiencia fantástica: Such a cute little center. Sadly, the Manatees weren’t present because of the cold weather. The staff was excellent and engaging. Fun exhibits inside and lots of viewing space outside. Admission is minimal so round up for a little extra donation. It has beautiful outdoor space and even when the Manatees aren’t there, there’s still wildlife around to enjoy.

During our visit, we were thrilled to spot five manatees relaxing peacefully in the water, seemingly unbothered by our presence. The recent cold snap had drawn them closer to the warm waters, allowing us to enjoy an incredible close-up view of these gentle giants. Beyond the manatees, we explored the center’s exhibits, which included fascinating displays of fish, sea horses, and other marine life. The staff were exceptionally welcoming, providing personalized attention and sharing extensive knowledge about manatees and the local ecosystem. The interactive exhibits were a big hit with my daughter, making the visit both educational and engaging. The center offers an unforgettable experience that’s perfect for families and nature enthusiasts alike.

The Manatee are very interesting mammals and the family learned a lot of interesting facts and ways to help protect them. The staff was very passionate and eager to share, which was very helpful. They also shared a pretty snake that we are able to pet and hold. Fun stop! They have a nice gift shop with neat books and all sorts of fun stuff. I'm so happy we stopped by.

Experiencia fantástica: Quick stop that was worth the $3 entry fee! Several exhibits and a touch tank. We learned so much from Evelyn, who was not only informative but also hilarious! My whole family was mesmerized by the baby horseshoe crabs and colorful cleaner shrimp. Check out the gift shop. Lots of great stuff with prices that have withstood inflation lol.

Experiencia negativa: Not worth it. Basically it’s just a building next to the marina. The tickets are $3 and it only provides access into the building to see 2 fish tanks, a gift shop, and access to a section of the waterway. They do not have any manatees, the only manatees would be outside in the public area during manatee season only, but the water is murky. Instead, you can just walk along the small public bridge adjacent to their building which has better viewing of the water. There were no manatees when we visited. Apparently the best chance to see them is at high tide. Yes, the ticket price is low, however, it was a real disappointment for the guests I brought. There is no reason to pay the admission fee unless you want to see a few small fish in a tank and a snake as that is all that is in the building everything else is outside in public area for free.

Experiencia positiva: The center is very, very small but offers a large amount of information on manatees. There's several small aquariums and a terrarium with a resident snake, children's activities and books, a butterfly garden, a really nice gift shop, and observation deck with an excellent view of the docks and waterway. It cost $3 to get in.

Experiencia positiva: This is a nice little area to visit, whether the business is open or closed. I searched for a manatee, but couldn’t find one today. There is a walkway that connects to where the Ft. Pierce Oyster Festival was being held and the bridge to the other side of the river. Good spot to fish, boat, or see a gentle giant.

Theater and there is Trail Walk and Veterans Recreational Facility and just plenty to do and see in this area it's a MUST VISIT TO SEE Y'ALL. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SUREAN AREA TO ALL THERE'S SOMETHING FOR ALL TO REALLY ENJOY❤️

We did go to Square Grouper that evening & had a very good mahi sandwuch & their drinks & fries were fantastic! Great atmosphere & on the water. . $60-70ish for 2. Live DJ. No kids allowed, only 21 & up.

Experiencia positiva: The center it self consists of a walkway, tower, small aquarium and gift shop. On the day we went they had a touch tank- where you could touch small sea animals like star fish. The reason I’m giving it 3 stars is because you aren’t guaranteed to see manatees. So manage your expectations accordingly.

Experiencia negativa: We've been there three times, in three years, on different days of the week. So far they have never once been open. How can a facility like this not be open on a weekend??? I doubt we'll make the drive again

Experiencia fantástica: Staff was knowledgeable, passionate and spent time talking with both young and old visitors. Got very lucky while we were there and actually got to see some Manatees. Great quick trip to learn a little bit about the local area. Come and support them if you have the time! You wont regret it.

Experiencia fantástica: It was pleasant, by the water, very informative and creative session with my 5-year-old boy, he learned about Lobsters lifecycle. They have free of charge activities I believe every other Tuesday of the month.

Experiencia fantástica: This is a great place for kids and adults alike. You may not always see a manatee but there is so much more to this place than that! On the right day you may even get to see the snake, Diego, eat a mouse!

Experiencia fantástica: Went down to check it out. Walked around and read all of the Highwayman information. So worth it, those men were incredibly talented. Also gawked at the House of seven gables for a bit, walked the Manatee bridge, but did not see any. Wonderful experience. We will return.

Experiencia fantástica: Nice place, unfortunately there will not be many if at all any manatee in this area since the only thing that attracted these animals here was the electrical power plant that would warm the Taylor Creek waters, the city had it closed and demolished.

Experiencia positiva: This is a very small building with a small admission. Honestly, this is pretty underwhelming and I don’t think there should be any sort of admission fee. The staff was all incredibly nice and informative, though.

Experiencia fantástica: We stopped at the farmers market close by and on our way back we stopped to check out the Manatee Observation place. There was a guy in the water touching up the murals and that was cool to see also a great way to learn a bit more about Manatees.

Experiencia positiva: This was a really nice place to stop and see the manatees. There's a large parking lot and it shares it with the dock and the Seven Gables House, so there's a lot to see. If you walk across the bridge to the other side of the river, you'll be able to see a lot of manatees up close since they hang out by the docks. We walked through the gift shop too. The staff was nice, but it's pretty packed so be aware if you're in a wheelchair, it's too difficult to get around. There are several plaques outside that you can read all about manatees if you do not want to go into the education center.

Experiencia fantástica: Place is very nice, beautiful scenery, didn't see any manatees but did see a couple of lizards, iguanas, geckoes or whatever they are and one big rat that ran out of the trashcan and behind me! Water was pretty, sailboats, waves, heron!

The staff were knowledgeable and friendly, and they were happy to answer any questions we had. The center features a variety of educational materials, including informative displays and exhibits, which made learning about manatees much more enjoyable. The observation area is also a highlight of the experience; it would be nice to see manatees up close and in their natural habitat one day. Overall, I highly recommend the Manatee Observation and Education Center to anyone looking for an enjoyable and educational experience.

Experiencia fantástica: My nonverbal 2 year old granddaughter cried when we were leaving, then refused to enter the car. We went back and she instantly relaxed. Very relaxing place to visit.

Experiencia positiva: Love seeing these manatees when they come in. Unfortunately they aren't around all year. I used to come a d watch them at this location long before it was an obsession. They have swam and played and enjoyed the warm water from the power plant this is the plant started producing. It's the warm water that draws to them here to this location.

Experiencia fantástica: A great tour with an experienced captain who cares about conservation. He was very knowledgeable and provided great insight on what we observed on the tour. We saw several Manatees and some bottle noise Dolphins.

Had a touch tank that included sea a sea urchin and star fish, a live cam playing of manatees in Blue Springs, a video of manatee history, and an observation deck for visitors to see manatees if present. The entry fee was only $2!
