Experiencia fantástica: AMAZING! Staff is very nice! I went on a sat without tour tickets, they were about to start the tour, we bought them during the waiting. It rained and the staff gave us our own umbrellas. The staff was super nice, and caring, they showed us amazing reptiles and told us all about them. I would visit with friends again. Although, the boards were loose in some areas, they ensured they would be fixed soon. Its a great place to go with people who enjoy reptiles. Or animals in general. They had so many alligators! They were in a small pond, it made me a little upset, but they were making a larger pond.

Our tour guide’s name was DJ and he did a perfect job of walking us through the entire outdoor space providing expert reptile knowledge along the way. I was able to hold and take pictures with an albino python and a baby gator as well as feed some huge tortoises! Loved this place! If he’s reading this tell him I said Go Birds

Experiencia fantástica: Super fun day out at Croc Encounters today! Took my kids and niece and nephew visiting from out of state and gave them the ultimate Florida experience. DJ was an excellent tour guide. Super knowledgeable and friendly! We got to pet a couple of snakes, feed some tortoise's and even hold a gator! Great interactive experience super fun for families! Only thing I'd recommend is for you to bring some bug spray bc we got bit up pretty good. Overall had an amazing time!

So special. It’s apparent that the caretakers put their heart into their job and have the animals best interest. Experiencia negativa: Was excited to take my family until I arrived. Upon my arrival we were met by a young lady outside who wasn’t sure if there would be a show for 6pm although the internet says they close at 8pm. We sat in our car and waited for her to make a call to see if there would be a show. My husband asked how much to get into the show and she told him $60+ then I questioned her because the website says 4 people for $99 and her response was “oh yea we do that”. She then told me I had to call to pay. Once I called the person told me $99 plus $50 after hours fee. When I questioned him because the web does not mention that he responded a very rude and spicey way. He went back and forth with me about the time business should be open and after hour fees. Long story short we were the only people that showed up about 5:30p. He had already left for the day and the worker at the front was waiting to close. I would never spend my money here. If you are not aware of pricing and policies before arrival they will charge you more for nothing. DO. NOT GO HERE. If you want FRIENDLY staff and have an engaging experience got to EVERGLADES ALLIGATOR FARM. It is a drive from here but worth it.

Experiencia negativa: If they allowed negative stars, that’s what it’d be. Was not given back our money for a reservation of tickets that we were unable to attend due to a family member getting in a motorcycle accident. On top of a 14 hour drive back home we were out $100 for a something we didn’t even get to do. I understand we were told they’d be good for a year but who wants to go back to a place that is under no circumstances in your life forgiven? If that’s how you do people, then how are those animals doing?

Clean and you can tell they love there animals! Well worth it! Highly recommend! Make sure to verify time of tour luckily we got there 5 mins before the 2 o’clock show! Great 1-2 hour tour!

Experiencia fantástica: WOW!! What a great experience! Keanna (sp?) was FANTASTIC! She was knowledgeable, fun, and patient (gave advanced notice when we were coming up to a snake). It was about 1.5 hours. My favorite part was feeding the turtles and holding the alligator. If I could give more stars, I would. Completely worth it and a memorable experience.

Experiencia fantástica: I had such an amazing tour at Croc Encounters. The tour guide, Kiana, was knowledgeable and engaging and made the experience extraordinary. What a special place! A rescue sanctuary for all these beautiful reptiles that people have taken as pets and then realized how challenging and dangerous a large reptile can be. Croc Encounters also takes in wild alligators that have lost their fear of people due to being fed and would otherwise need to be euthanized. This incredible place is run by just a handful of very special and dedicated people and receives no government funding. I’d encourage anyone to take the tour. It’s an incredible, hands-on experience and it provides the funding to keep this gem open.

Experiencia fantástica: This is an attraction that deserves your attention here in Tampa. Our tour guide, DJ , was absolutely incredible. Filled with knowledge and willing to answer any question, however silly or off-topic they may have been, he answered every one honestly and offered tips and tricks alongside his explanations. You can really tell the love he has for this place and I think that made the experience all the more special. My wife, as a born and raised Floridian, learned things even she didn't know during the tour. If you're in the Tampa area, I can't recommend this place enough. It's an incredible spot that represents the area so well.

We also fed a group of tortoise. It was a unique experience. DJ was very knowledgeable and was very compassionate about his job. Experiencia fantástica: We came here with our 3 young kids and everyone had a great time! We called the day of and booked the 12 pm tour. DJ was our guide and he was great! There were tons of alligators, crocs and turtles etc. The best part was the interaction; we held snakes, baby alligator and fed the tortoises. Spent about 2 hours here, the group size was small enough to feel personable and interactive. It’s a sanctuary, so it’s nice to hear some backstory of the animals and how they are rescued. Overall, the tour is very authentic and informative!!! Highly recommended!!

Experiencia fantástica: Such an amazing time! Can't stop talking about it to everyone. It's so easy to call and set up an appointment, pay over the phone, and show up on time for your tour. I can't emphasize how awesome and affordable this tous is! IMPORTANT: You have to call the number on their website to purchase your reservation in advance. It isn't so busy that you have to reserve it weeks ahead, but a day ahead is a good start. They can not help you at the facility with payments. In fact, there isn't any sort of accessible building for you to go into, unless you're a tour guide. There is no souvenir stand or anything. The facility is about the animals. If you don't have appreciation for the animal, then this may not be a good fit for you. Some points in the tour could be difficult if you have an assistive device such as a cane, walker, stroller, or wheelchair. The terrain is mostly wooden planks that are uneven and in places, not entirely sound.

Experiencia fantástica: Reviews were not kidding when they said this place was a hit! My boyfriend and I travelled across the country and landed ourselves in Tampa. One of the very last things we had to do before leaving was to experience an alligator encounter. Found this place online with beautiful reviews, and we were convinced. We had our visit on May 14th, and still can't wrap our heads around the fact that we held a baby alligator and an albino snake!! We fed turtles and got to touch them as well! Our tour guide, Kiana, was lovely, knowledgeable, and clearly loves her job dealing with these reptiles! Would recommend 1000% and would definitely visit again if we're ever in Tampa again. Thanks for the awesome tour! And remember to tip them! They deserve it

Experiencia fantástica: When we pulled into the driveway my first thought was hmmmm what did we do :) To our delight we met our tour guide DJ who delivered an educational and friendly tour of the zoo. Clean and well cared for rescued animals let us know these creatures found a second chance. While our tour guide let us feed the pen of nuisance alligators, he jumped in to search for alligator teeth for the kids. Feeding the tortoises was so much fun as well. We give this stop a 10 even though it only lets us give a 5. Call ahead for reservations. We popped in and lucked out..

One of the best things I did while in Tampa. If your visiting, and thinking about doing any of the reptile or tortoise encounters at busch gardens. Save your money this tour was two hours and a fraction of the price.

Experiencia fantástica: We had a great time with our almost 9 year old. He really enjoyed being able to hold a python and a gator. The tour is quite comprehensive and DJ was a fun guide. I wound recommend that they get the repairs on the boardwalk through the park done. At times I was a bit concerned about all the little kids potentially getting hurt but I am totally aware of cost constraints and am glad that this sanctuary exists. I am sure keeping it running is more important for the animals than making it perfect. Hence I also recommend folks go there. Keeping this business running is probably tough and I am quite confident that the deal you get (4 people for 100 bucks) is one of the better ones in Florida. Go during the week and off-season if possible to get smaller groups. Also go to the bathroom at home. There are Porta Potties but I’d only consider those a fail safe.

Experiencia fantástica: We had a fantastic time at Croc Encounters! Our tour turned into a private experience since we went on a Monday morning, and DJ was our tour guide. He was amazing—so knowledgeable, funny, and great with our young kids, answering all their questions. DJ even climbed into the alligator enclosure to find alligator teeth for souvenirs for the boys. Our boys got to feed the Sulcata tortoises and feed pellets to dozens of alligators. We even had the chance to hold a snake and a baby alligator as a part of the experience. What we loved most was how authentic it felt compared to the overproduced experiences of many theme parks in the area. It was a genuine, hands-on way to interact with these incredible creatures. We really enjoyed every moment and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and educational adventure!

Experiencia fantástica: Second time coming here and I gotta say it's still awesome. We got to feed gators,tortious,and turtles, held a gator and a python. I highly recommend this for all ages the kids get to learn as well as us adults. You do have to purchase/make a reservation.

Wife and I are glad we went and strongly recommend for those interested in viewing and feeding Gators and Crocs and a variety of other marine animals.

Experiencia fantástica: I've been to many zoos, aquariums and other similar places but this is probably my new favorite. The tour guide was awesome. We got to hold snakes, hold a gator, go into the pen with giant tortoises to feed them, and feed gators. It was great. Definitely worth the price. You also get to learn a lot about the animals. So many different animals to see! The tour guide sure seemed to love each one of them.

He was so knowledgeable and patient with all the different kids in our group. We learned so much and got an up close look at so many different reptiles. It was a very interactive experience, being able to feed several different animals and hold a couple too!

She also got to feed some alligators and a tortoise. Awesome for a last minute find. You do need to call ahead to schedule a tour but I called about 1 hour before and they took us. For families, there's a little sand play area where my daughter played before and after the tour.

Experiencia fantástica: This place reminded me of something out of 1982 Dan Akroid horror-comedy. It's "old Florida" to be sure. You need to call ahead, because we arrived and the place looked abandoned, and after we walked around for a while, we found a worker, who did call his boss for us, and he did agree to give us a tour. (Watch your step) It cost the four of us $100 for an hour visit, and the guide named DJ was extremely friendly and helpful. My kids loved it, and I must say, it was even educational. I am thankful that there are places like this off the beaten path. I would certainly recommend this stopover.

Experiencia fantástica: We had a tour by DJ. He was thorough and interactive and answered all questions for us. He’s very nice and was able to squeeze us in and we were so grateful! I recommend calling ahead though as they have certain timed tours. So even though google says they’re open until 8pm, it’s best to call as sometimes their last tour can start 4:30pm, which will last about 1.5 hours give or take.

Experiencia fantástica: First time going to an alligator tour and this was something on my to-do list for my birthday. This is a rescue sanctuary which is a plus. DJ was our guide and he was awesome and super knowledgeable! He knew the answer to every question. You can tell he was made to educate people on reptiles. We were able to hold an albino snake and a baby alligator. We fed the alligators and tortoises. My birthday was a success because of this place. I will definitely recommend if you love reptiles!

Booked a tour with Kiana and had the single greatest time in my 11 days of stay. Her tour led our small group through a ton of fun facts with charm, and left me with a drive to want to learn and do more. If you’re looking for alligators, crocodiles, or just a laid back, fascinating, interactive experience with a variety of different animals —you need to go to Croc Encounters. This is a one of a kind experience, big thank you to Kiana and the crew for their obvious dedication and passion.

Experiencia positiva: Family owned business. Great tour given by a knowledgeable tour guide. Kids loved feeding the tortoises. Pictures of kids holding an albino snake and a baby alligator. We'd been here a year ago and wanted to bring some different grandkids since we enjoyed it before. The problem was that the wooden walkways, which were shakey last year, were even worse now. I actually feared for our safety. The Alligator Snapping turtle was in a "temporary" 5x5 metal container, was in that same container last year. The worst part of the tour was the horrendous fecal smell coming from the alligator pond. Evidently, cleaning it twice per week isn't enough. I really can't recommend this place and it's really too bad. It's very informative for kids. It's too bad that it's gone down hill.

Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to answer all our questions, sharing fascinating details about the crocodiles and other animals. They were so patient, making sure everyone in our group had a chance to learn and enjoy the experience. I left with so much new information and a greater appreciation for these amazing creatures. Highly recommend visiting if you’re looking for an educational and memorable experience! The only negative, was the boardwalk was difficult to maneuver in a wheel chair, there were some missing/ loose boards and hoses laid across the walkway. We were able to manage it, but just in case anyone else is planning on visiting in a wheel chair, be prepared.

Experiencia fantástica: Whoa! This place is so Florida! If you ever wanted to understand some of the native reptiles, make an appointment with the whole family. Our guide, Alex, was extremely knowledgeable and walked us through learning about the different species, especially the difference between an alligator and crocodile. The animals tend to be less active in the colder months. We were able to hold a snake in the beginning and finished up with holding an alligator at the end. Feeding the tortoises and alligators were also an amazing highlight of the experience. Don't forget cash to tip your guide!

Experiencia fantástica: Our family of 4 booked a same day tour with Alexander. It was just us, so we ended up with a private tour. Alexander was super knowledgeable about the various animals they had and especially about the impacts of feeding wild animals which cause dependency on humans feeding them. It was a bit rainy and you could hear lightning but nothing prepared us for the sounds of the alligators bellowing in the back. They were super loud, like a pack of Harleys revving up. We got to hold Pearl, the cornsnake, feed the turtles and alligators, hand feed Patrick, the Sulcata tortoise, and finish up the tour with holding Smiley, the alligator. It was a great experience and recommend it.

Experiencia fantástica: One of the most fun activities I’ve experienced on my family vacation. Our tour was Kiana. We were expecting to see some alligators but we got way more. It was very informative and engaging. We learned a lot about different types of Alligators, Crocodiles. Be sure to feed the tortoises. Those friendly little creatures will warm your heart. We got to hold the most friendly snake in the world. If you have a phobia of snakes, this snake will cure your phobia. I HIGHLY recommend getting a tour at Croc Encounters.

I can definitely recommend coming to this place, also the tour guide named Alexander was very funny and you could feel that he really loves doing what he does at the sanctuary, I for sure enjoyed it. 10/10. Experiencia fantástica: Great place and great tour. There’s a lot of different reptiles to see and learn about. Our guide Lux was very friendly and happily answered the many questions I had. We got to hold a couple of animals, and also got to feed a few different ones. Awesome experience for any age! You’ll have a great time, and support a sanctuary. Tip: wear some bug spray, especially during the warm months. It is Florida after all

Experiencia fantástica: I really enjoyed the guided tour. we got more than what we were expecting! it was about -.5-2 hours. we saw so many animals! we even got to feed some of them. our guide was Kiana, she was friendly and gave us a lot of information about each animal while still not overloading our minds with the fun details. the value is worth what you get! make sure to some bug spray. we forgot our but luckily the couple on the tour with us let us have some of theirs side note: Tortuga the macaw is the best. I played some music for him and he was dancing to “Cuban Pete” and “Sandman. “ he kicked off a great tour.

Experiencia fantástica: We hired Croc Encounters for an off site birthday party for our son and it was an awesome experience. The reptiles were a huge hit! Everyone enjoyed from kids to adults. Andrew was great and super informative, we loved the variety of reptiles that were brought. Really enjoyed the gator and tortoises! Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a memorable event for your party!
