He even got a special stamp in his nature passport booklet — such a fun touch for kids! It’s the perfect spot for families to connect with nature and learn about Florida’s unique coastal ecosystems. We’ll definitely be back again. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a calm, enriching outdoor adventure!

The boardwalk trail was hands-down our favorite part, peaceful and full of wildlife. It’s a great way to soak in some Florida nature. Parking was a bit tricky when we got there, but luckily there was a paid lot just a short walk away. All in all, it made for a relaxing and enjoyable outing!

Folks love checking out the sea turtle rehab center, the big aquarium tank, the butterfly garden, and that awesome new tower. It’s a fun and educational spot, and if you follow them on social, you’ll catch updates on their turtle release events too!

Experiencia negativa: This hotel has captured a beautiful place by the sea but manages all this slander. The staff in the GumboLimbo is rude. With so many visitors in the season, they could be grateful and friendly. The menu is concise but not tasty. Even a low-level burger, how can you ruin a burger? The only thing that is more or less normal is this dish of the day, if you are already there, then only take it, and the soup is just some kind of slop. Pina Colada I ordered was deprived of alcohol like a children's cream drink. From this place it is good to admire the view of the sea but without draft beer, because it is easier for the owners to sell you a can of beer for $9, while the menu shows draft beer

Experiencia positiva: Great life sanctuary and nature center where you can spend a good couple of hours. It has a small aquarium, sea turtle recovery facilities, butterfly garden, boardwalks and trails. Great for kids! And the best, it’s absolutely free! The parking space is limited but make sure you check both north and south lots. From the observation tower you’ll have a nice view of the surrounding areas including the intracoastal waterway.

Experiencia fantástica: It is really lovely place to visit with family and kids and it is free of charge. We chose to pay a donation to support this import cause of saving the sea turtles and to keep this amazing place running. You are welcomed by a very kind people in the reception and there is zero pressure to donate. They explain about the place and how to walk around. There are dotted guides along the route and you can tell they love their job and very keen to explain and teach. Except the aquariums there are also nature trails and viewing tower which was breathtaking. I highly recommend to visit this place with family and friends or by yourself for afternoon education.

Experiencia fantástica: I take all my visitors to the Gumbo Limbo Nature Center to introduce them to our local coastal flora and sea-life. There is no entrance fee and free parking, although donations are appreciated. Numerous tanks housing injured rescued turtles, assorted aquariums with an amazing array of fish and a huge lab where turtles are hatched and then released amazes everyone. There is a large, well stocked gift shop and clean toilet facilities in several locations. The broadwalks are well maintained with benches built in througout.

In my opinion, some of this should have a price on it, but I am grateful that it doesn’t. My favorite turtle in the world is the green sea turtle and they have a wonderful hospital for green sea turtles here. Bring one bring all there’s not a person that walks the Earth that doesn’t like turtles :-) snapping turtles excluded :-) we love this place so much. RJ and family.

Experiencia fantástica: Incredible butterfly garden if you're a bug enthusiast! Absolutely teeming with them on a sunny day with little wind. You'll also find a rarity or two here if you're lucky, like the Mangrove Skipper. Seems like a favorite spot for some rare birds from time to time, like the Bananaquit.

Experiencia fantástica: Perfect place to go when you want to get the kids out of the house, but dont want to spend a lot of money. I took my daughter here when she was 7 months old. All the fish kept her entertained, and the small trails are great for exercise and fresh air. The best part is, It's free, they just ask for donations. Tip: Make sure you bring mosquitos/bug repellent. We went right after it rained and the mosquitos were all over us.

Experiencia fantástica: Great place for families curious about the animals and fish found in the Southeast Florida coastal habitat. There are only 50 parking spaces which are often full around the daily fish feeding at 12:30, particularly on school holidays. Come early to park on site or go to Red Reef West, a pay lot immediately South of the Nature Center. Wonderful facility with many programs and educational opportunities people can sign up for.

Experiencia fantástica: What an amazing place! They could easily charge an entrance fee, but it’s completely free. I highly recommend visiting and supporting them with a donation. The place is in excellent condition. You can see various turtles, fish in 3 or 4 different tanks, rays, and more ocean species—it feels like a small aquarium. In a separate area, there are baby turtles, seahorses, and starfish. My two daughters absolutely loved it! The trail is beautiful, and the observation tower offers a great view over the trees. It’s definitely a must-visit, and we will be coming back!

She was annoyed with us asking a question as she was "giving a private tour to her good friends from the East Coast" (quote). Experiencia fantástica: This place is all that and some. We brought our toddler and he's ecstatic about the marine wildlife. It's super family friendly and the staff are even more nicer. Donate $25 or more and get a dope custom bracelet supporting the medical needs of a turtle.

We learned a lot about ocean critters and their habitats and had such a wonderful interaction with a volunteer named John Jarvis. He was full of knowledge and made the visit so much more enjoyable. We even got to see the permanent Sea Turtle residents snacking on their peppers and lettuce. Just an all around awesome experience. If ever in the area, I would HIGHLY recommend.

Two nature trails offer a wild variety of plant and wildlife. Watch your head for spiderwebs! Jacob’s lookout is worth the climb, handicap accessible as well.

Experiencia fantástica: This was originally presented as a field trip like experience when bringing kids to the area, but I think my mother in law and I had way more fun than our 11 year old. Facilty was very clean and had employees at every station making sure we didn't miss anything! Very informative and friendly staff. We could have spent the entire day here. The scavenger hunt forced us to slow down and really take everything in, very thankful for that! I've honestly never seen such a young group of employees so genuinely excited to share knowledge and engage visitors!

Give credit to all the volunteers and donors that keep this place so organized, nice and clean, and of course free for everyone to enjoy . Due to its location parking could be busy at times. If you enjoyed it, maybe a small donation is worth it.

Experiencia fantástica: This little gem is a must-see if you love marine life! Gumbo Limbo has several aquariums filled with fish, sea horses, sting rays, and even an eel. They have a butterfly garden and a sea turtle research center. There is an outdoor forest trail with a new observation tower. The grounds are well maintained, and admission is free. Parking can be challenging on the weekends, but there is a lot next door with parking meters ($3 an hour).

Experiencia fantástica: This is a great go-to when the kids are bored or anytime. It's good for all ages. There is always something new going on with different animals that are brought in. We love all the different wildlife they have on premise. The nature walk is also beautiful. When you're done, you can always go across the street to the beach.

Experiencia fantástica: A nature center worth recommending. There are big turtles, many tropical fish, and tropical rainforests behind. It is a good place for all ages. In particular, there is no charge here, and even parking is free. It is rare in the coastal area of Florida.

Staff extremely attentive, welcoming. We loved doing the scavenger hunt. Our little one left with a surprise gift after finishing. Overall we had a great time. We spent approx. 1 hour there - two adults and 7 year old.
