Experiencia positiva: I took my 1 and 4 year old today and they loved it. It is very engaging with multiple shows and hands on interactions with some of the animals. We didn’t get to stay for everything and will definitely be coming back to experience what we missed out on. Pack a lunch as they don’t have meals only snacks. There are some covered areas but a lot is outdoors so check for rain.

We got to feed some of them too which made the experience even better. The staff were super friendly and you could tell they really care about the animals. It’s affordable, clean, and perfect for families with kids or even a fun date idea. Definitely a must-visit if you’re an animal lover or if you’ve never been to an animal sanctuary before. Experiencia positiva: My daughter visited this past week for a field trip with summer camp. Although she did have a great time she came home completely covered in bug bites 20+ on her little 5yr old legs. I searched reviews beforehand and never once saw anyone mention that bug spray would definitely be needed. This is just a warning for other moms spray their legs and arms down before they visit, it's NEEDED. We live in Florida so know that mosquitoes can be a problem but I did not think about all the standing water in animal attractions outside, next time I will know.

Experiencia fantástica: My family and I spent the afternoon here! It is a great place and fun for all ages. We enjoyed the petting zoo, turtles, sting rays and the reptile show. We would highly recommend taking your family to the Tarpon Springs aquarium.

Experiencia negativa: Honestly, we probably won’t be coming back. My family and I visited for the first time today and was overcharged at the entrance. When we questioned the total, the young staff member at the front was extremely rude, saying things like “what’s the problem?” and “what do you wanna do?” when we tried to explain the issue. He seemed very young and likely not trained to handle situations like this, but someone did step in to let him know that his behavior wasn’t appropriate. We were reimbursed the overcharge, thankfully. After that, it became pretty clear that the experience wasn’t worth the price, just like others have mentioned. Overall a pretty disappointing visit the moment we stepped in the door.

Experiencia fantástica: I'd give more stars if I could! My 2 teenage sons and I visited today and had a great time here. This place is just fantastic! . There is so much to see here, the shows are fantastic and very informative. We were lucky enough to hold a small alligator and feed sharks, turtles and goats.The staff are all super friendly and it has a great atmosphere too. There are so many different animals to see and touch. We all had a very enjoyable time and will be back again soon. I would highly recommend a visit here, and the other 5 star reviews are well deserved.

Experiencia fantástica: Decided to check it out due to the awesome reviews and it was definitely worth it! We've been to several bigger Aquariums and this one is a more unique, less crowded and personal experience. A family run operation with lots of volunteers all the animals looked extremely well taken care of. Some of the high points: ⭐ Touch tanks with no wait. We came at 11am and if you bought the feeding tickets the sting rays took it right out of your hand! ⭐ We saw two live shows and got to touch several other animals, even got to hold a baby alligator We've been to Alligator Farm in St Augustine and they charge like $40 to hold and have your picture with a baby alligator. ⭐ Got to pet the farm animals and walk among the chickens/rooster/duck/turkeys you can go in and pet even without feeding them for this part. ⭐ A big tortoise chilling and walking around the park also was allowed to be "pet". ⭐ Got to see the reptiles get fed around 11:30am in their shaded corridor. ⭐ It looks like they will let you bring in a lunch box and sit at picnic tables to eat, there's also a snack shack right there. ⭐ Not one rude or unhappy staff person even though it was 95 degrees and there were some screaming little ones. Impressive! We tag teamed it with the free splash pad around the corner and there's several drive thru's on 19 thereafter. A fun day trip and supporting a family run aquarium and animal sanctuary. Buy tickets at the desk for -20% FL residents discount.

Experiencia fantástica: Very educational walk about at Tarpon springs Aquarium. Young people work here as part of their education. The reptile show was fun for all the children as they got to pet a snake, turtle, and a water monitor lizard. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Not too big so you can walk around and see everything in a couple hours. A couple of large tanks had many varieties of fish. Lots of reptiles snakes lizards, alligators and more.

Experiencia fantástica: I brought my 4Yr old grandson to the Tarpon Springs Aguarium and Animal Sanctuary and we BOTH throughly enjoyed it! I was surprised that his favorite was the tidal pool where he could touch things actually living in the sea. EVERYONE was very attentive to him and he was able to place a Python around his neck and hold a baby alligator. The diver in the tank with ocean fish was a sight to see! Everything was very clean and spotless. The rescued farm animals were great and even the huge tortises meandering around. He swore one of them was a statue until he started speaking to it. The fact that he could actually feed them wether by means of his hands or a small fishing pole amazed him. I could go on but I want to thank everyone there for a great visit and a wonderful way to spend the day! We will return!

Experiencia fantástica: We had such an amazing time here! We watched the alligator show and as the kids were holding the alligator and a tortoise walked up to steal the show! Seriously this place was amazing! We got to feed so many different animals. There was even a tiny turkey that followed us around it was so funny! I would highly recommend this place, we will definitely be back! I loved feeding all the animals and the kids haven't stopped raving about it!

The staff is always friendly and the animals are always hungry for the snacks you can get and feed them. I love the touch tanks the most and so does my child. 10/10 I will always recommend this place.

The staff were incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, there were lots of up close interactions with animals you don't often get at other aquariums, and it is totally worth adding on the feeding experiences. Experiencia fantástica: A hidden gem in Tarpon Springs. Its a small facility compared to many aquariums, but it was still a great experience. Be aware that the facility is mostly outdoors, so plan accordingly. You can get up close and personal with many of the animals, and the staff were all friendly amd knowledgeable. The scuba show featuring the Goliath Grouper was a highlight.

Having owned a pet shop, I know the hard work the owner & employees have to go through (and expense) to keep this attraction operational and they all put their heart into it. It was a very relaxing and educational visit. I strongly encourage everyone to not overlook the Tarpon Springs Aquarium when visiting the area.

Experiencia fantástica: Omg, you will be astonished at how wonderful this place is! I was shocked! We stayed until it closed and I would have stayed hours more! I got to feed the sharks and huge fish, feed and pet the sting rays, pet and feed the turtles, cows, goats, pigs, rabbits and pet and hold a huge snake and alligator! The scuba diving with sharks show was great! You can't tell from the outside, but once you get in, it's really nice and really big with tons to do. I've never been to a place where you can feed the turtles on a little fishing line type stick and it's so, so fun. The aquarium was so nice with so many huge fish! So clean. Really friendly staff! I really loved this place! Definitely check it out!!!

Experiencia fantástica: We celebrated my granddaughters 1st birthday here and had a blast. The staff is so friendly and hard working. At first, we thought it would be like a Ripleys aquarium, but not at all. It's completely outdoors. Lots of sand, and you will be hot! There is no air conditioning anywhere, not even in the bathrooms. So be prepared for this. Luckily, we went on a cooler day, but even still, we were sweaty. As for the show itself, lots of turtles, snakes, sharks, sting rays, gators, lizards, ducks, rabbits, and a donkey and some goats and chickens. The kids had a blast! They can feed and touch some of the gators and snakes. Both of my grandchildren were worn out and asleep 3 seconds after getting in the car. I assume all the other kids did, too. Lol! They were able to just run everywhere. I loved there weren't a lot of rules on where you could go and when. Now, if the place were packed with people, that might get difficult because it's rather small. We, however, didn't have any issues with it being packed. There is a small gift shop as well with a parrot watching you shop. He was cool.

Experiencia fantástica: Once we pulled into the place we weren’t sure what we were in for. From the outside the place doesn’t look like much. Nothing like Sea World but a very pleasant experience with a local hometown vibe. With a couple of new exhibits in the works the place is set for expansion. I was surprised by the customer turnout while we were there. Youngsters gleefully enjoying their own experiences while interacting with the wildlife. Opportunities to feed and pet many of its residents really is a boost in the experience. A fun family experience overall.

Experiencia fantástica: You are going to pull into this parking lot and second guess your decision to come here. And you're going to pull up the Google reviews and reassure yourself that this experience is going to be awesome, because it is. It's so easy to look at the outside and think this is a sad exploitative animal experience, but it's exactly the opposite. The staff are so knowledgeable, so great with kids, and so passionate about the rescue work that they do. The interactive experiences are so simple but so fun for children. Touching stingrays and turtles, walking into a lizard lounge, watching someone swim with sharks and feed crocodiles. It was a really great stop for 2-3 hours, and despite the stifling heat, it was very comfortable inside. We had to drag the kids and grandparents out of there to get lunch, but they would have stayed longer.

Experiencia fantástica: Ever seen a man hug a nurse shark? I did at this aquarium. Got there at 10am, and left around 2:30, and had the BEST time. The shows were fantastic, and they're so patient with the kids (and adults) wanting to ask questions, hold the animals, and take photos. The exhibits were great, and everyone had a blast feeding the animals too. There's even a petting zoo. The people who run this family rescue, are wonderful. We will definitely be back, even though we live 2 hours away.

We *finally* took three grandkids, and had a surprisingly good time!!!! We were there about three hours and kids didn't want to leave.

Experiencia fantástica: As a long time volunteer of many sanctuaries this was my first time to this Aquarium since they moved to new location. Hats off to you guys for taking in animals from otherwise bad situations and adding to your Aquarium. The family is very nice and helpful when inquiring about the animals. They have extreme amounts of knowledge about each animal. They have an abundance of interaction for kids of all ages. The best part about the place is the education they give to the public. Their mission and love for what they do is key to animals living their best life in any sanctuary. I admire the children of original owner taking over and keeping the place going. The scuba show was wonderful. Watching kids eyes light up when Grant showed up was wonderful. They are still a work in progress and have some areas under construction. I can't wait to see end results. You can spend a day there watching shows, petting various animals and some you can even feed. They also have a refreshment area, with snacks, drinks, and covered picnic tables. The gift shop also has some amazing items to purchase for keepsakes.

Experiencia positiva: Went with my 3 grandkids & daughter-in-law recently. The kids really enjoyed learning about all the reptiles as well as touching them. The aquarium presentation was enjoyed as well. I enjoyed our visit, but think the adult prices were a bit high.

Experiencia positiva: DO NOT LET THE LOOKS FOOL YOU! Yes, it doesn't look like Shedd, Florida, Georgia, etc. aquariums. It doesn't even look like Clearwater Marine Aquarium. THAT IS OK! This is a very small (but growing) family run reptile, mammal, and aquatic rescue. This is a great place to take kids, and adults alike. We spent over two hours there, and could have spent even more time (probably did). You can spend 45 minutes there and see everything twice if you just wanted to do a quick view. If you are looking for something like a Shedd/Georgia/Florida Aquarium you may be disappointed. We had no idea what we were in for, but went for it. We fed the Sting Rays, baby gators, nurse sharks, farm animals, turtles and 'large fish'. It was enjoyable. If you have shy kids, or don't like huge crowds? This could be a good place to go down in Tarpon Springs. After that, take in a sponge boat tour!! :) Give them some business, the critters will 100% appreciate it!

You can tell they actually care about their animals as well. It’s easy to find, parking was right there, it was never super crowded. They do scheduled animal shows and they are awesome! This place is also incredibly affordable. I saw a lot of reviews about the $20. If you can’t afford to do anything just say that. Even their gift shop and snacks were incredibly well priced. Highly highly recommend supporting this family owned business.

Experiencia fantástica: We had a great family experience. While smaller than other aquariums or zoos, the Tarpon Springs Aquarium is very interactive and great for kids. There are also opportunities to learn about the animals and take pictures with snakes and aligators as well as feed them. My kids enjoyed petting the sting rays and turtles as well as the shark feeding show. We went on a Friday mid day, and it was busy but not overwhelming. Thank you to the knowledge and welcoming staff that made a memorable visit for my family!

Experiencia negativa: Cute place to walk around for about a half hour, not more to do after that. It's not an aquarium at all. Only had a hand full of fish. Not wheel chair accessable either. We missed out on the whole big tank because there was only stairs to get up there. With my family of seven, one stroller and one wheelchair made it hard to get around. Wasn't worth the $25 each we paid.

Experiencia fantástica: I haven't been here in years, though I'm planning on going back for a visit as soon as I'm back in Florida. Because of that, Google reviews spurred me to review. This aquarium was one of my all time favourite places to visit as a child. I have core memories of petting and feeding the sting rays, the tour guide telling our group about the old grouper they had on site as we stared in awe at the giant fish, the sharks and tropical fish. A huge portion of the good childhood memories I have today revolve around this aquarium. I heard they added goats and expanded, so I can't wait to see what's been added. I have nothing but fond memories of this place and it helped shape me into the environmentalist I am today.

Experiencia fantástica: Today was the first time I went to the Tarpon Spring's Aquarium! My partner and I had an awesome experience and loved all of the animals. I was really impressed by the knowledge of the staff and thankful they were so helpful! I believe Bella was her name, but she really went the extra mile and walked me through the reptile exhibit (which was my favorite). I will definitely be back here soon!

Experiencia fantástica: The perfect place to spend a stormy afternoon. Our family had a blast this afternoon and this small locally owned aquarium. The animal “shows” were great and our son LOVED being able to feed the gators, rays and sharks. All of the staff were so happy and helpful.

Experiencia fantástica: We needed a break in beach days while on vacation & stumbled upon this place. We prefer supporting local businesses and although smaller, it looked perfect for our 6 year old. We paid admission and bought tickets to feed various animals, our favorite being the stingrays. The shows were fabulous! Paige (on of the owners) does an amazing job presenting to the children. Plan to watch all 3 during your visit, you won’t regret it! The interaction with different creatures was really cool & there were many opportunities to hold reptiles & take photos. I highly recommend a visit!!

Experiencia fantástica: The Tarpon Springs Aquarium is wonderful! This was our first time back since the relocation and we had a great time. It is exciting to see how it is growing. It was great to learn about the different animals at the aquarium. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly.

Experiencia fantástica: This was a super fun place to bring a 2 and 1/2-year-old. There were a lot of different animals to look at and so many that you could interact with/touch. The stingrays are super cool to pet, the turtles really interesting in their variety, and my 2-year-old got a snake draped over them- great photo for the relatives. I also loved the underwater windows into the big fish tanks, for the sharks and giant fish. Not to be dismissed, the mammals were also very charismatic and fun to feed.

Although we've been to much larger aquariums, we had so much fun here, due to the hands-on opportunities, as well as the ability to feed many of the pets (extra $$). We also enjoyed the educational shows that were put on every couple hours.

They have a beautiful aquarium with various species of fish and enclosures with various species of reptiles. Very good group of employees that are informative and helpful. This is an impressive family business with its start by the sponge docks and now a permanent fixture and growing, off Hwy 19 in Tarpon Springs. I will be bringing my grandkids here. Can't wait to see what the future holds for this family business.

Experiencia fantástica: Can’t say enough wonderful things about this place! We went for their homeschool day, which was incredibly education and we highly recommend. Miss Paige was so knowledgeable, patient, and kind with all the kids. All the volunteers were so helpful and accommodating. We were a little timid with the turkeys in the petting zoo and they walked with us to shoo them away. We stayed for a couple shows and our little guys dreams came true getting to see the water monitor lizards. The sting ray tank was a big hit too, and those critters sure are friendly! I love the history of how it started and how it’s now run as a family. This has been a highlight of our time in Florida.

Experiencia fantástica: We absolutely had a blast this morning at Tarpon Springs Aquarium and animal sanctuary. Profession, friendly staff and wonderful learning experience for everyone. They put such detail in their work by explaining, in depth information on all of the different animals they have on site. Our kids had a blast with the hands on feeding opportunities they had with so many of the animals. Paige and the amazing staff brought the place to life with their friendly demeanor and willingness to take the time with any question that we had, big or small. We can’t wait to go back. We spent almost 7 hours there this morning and the kids want to go back tomorrow. Thank you for the beautiful day on our family vacation. Wish there was more than a 5 star rating. You far surpass 5. God bless you and the entire staff. Praying you go far and do very well.

Experiencia fantástica: The Tarpon Springs Aquarium and Animal Sanctuary was our favorite place we visited on our vacation to the Clearwater area. Paige, James and all the staff were so friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed the shows and learned so much from them and the conversations we had with so many of the staff members. Our kids (12, 11, 9 & 7) loved it! We would definitely go again next time we are in the area.

Experiencia positiva: What a wonderful surprise! The signage is unassuming and even parking and walking in we lowered our expectations. Boy were we pleasantly surprised. The workers are very knowledgeable. Everyone there was friendly and helpful. We got to feed stingrays and baby sharks, baby alligators and turtles!! The reptile show was amazing!!

Hands-on, informative and interactive presentations, a petting zoo, and you can even feed the sharks, fish, crocodiles, turtles and sting rays! From beginning to end, Grant and his crew do a great job!

Experiencia fantástica: Our family loves the family-owned Tarpon Springs Aquarium! We’ve visited 3 or 4 times with various groups of people. So many animals to see and interact with as the animal sanctuary continues to grow. It’s evident the owners, staff, and volunteers take very good care of the animals and their guests. They are so friendly, professional, and informative. There are many opportunities to interact directly, if you choose to, like with feeding stingray and petting various animals. The live shows are great; Paige is so good with the animals, kids, and adults! Keep up the excellent work and we’ll be back again when in Tarpon!

Experiencia fantástica: If you are a fan of supporting local and family owned/operated business, this is a must see! The kids get to feed and touch much more than any big business aquariums. Plus, it's decently priced. It is a small aquarium... but the interactive shows and variety of animals are well worth it!

Experiencia fantástica: This place is an absolute treasure. Best aquarium we’ve ever been to anywhere in the world. We love that it’s so small and special, so quirky and educational, and especially so gorgeously different than the typical aquariums you find anywhere and everywhere. Staff is friendly and humorous and engaging. We stayed the entire day enjoying the hands-on experiences, interesting shows, and animal encounters. My son had the most magnificent birthday party here too. We can’t say enough good things about this authentic Florida gem.

Experiencia fantástica: What a WONDERFUL experience!! We highly recommend it. We brought our 8 and 4 year old grandchildren who loved every minute of it. The shows were all great! They did a super job engaging the children. Buy the animal food and let the kids feed the animals. We all had fun doing that. The animals look like they are loved and well taken care of. I have passed the sign many times and didn't give it a second thought, but after the reviews, I thought we would give it a try, and I'm soooo glad we did. It's small but we all had so much fun. This is a family run business, and they work their tails off. It was a pleasure supporting this family business! We will be back!

Experiencia fantástica: My family and I are visiting Tarpon Springs for Christmas and had a great afternoon here. We got a discount for being Florida residents which was nice. The whole family enjoyed it, my daughter in particular who fed all the animals and basically fell in love with the place. It's very impressive considering it's a family owned operation that continues to expand. There is new construction and I'm interested in coming back at some point to see what has changed.

Experiencia fantástica: This place is a hidden gem! A small family owned place with great interactive exhibits and well worth the price of admission. Gave our son the choice to go anywhere he wanted for his birthday today and he chose here!

Experiencia fantástica: We were deciding between the tarpon springs aquarium and the clearwater aquarium and we were so glad we chose the Tarpon Springs Aquarium!! Everything is very interactive and you can feed nearly all of the animals (for $15 additional to admission). The aquarium is an affordable and relaxing outing. We really enjoyed the scuba presentation! Very nice staff and you can tell that they all love what they do at the family owned and operated business. All of the animals seemed very well cared for. My only area of concern was the the baby alligator encounter required it's mouth to be taped shut. I completely understand that that is done for our safety. I just think that it would be better to not have people hold or pet them in this instance. However, we still had a great time and really love all the work that this organization does for rehabilitation of the animals.

Experiencia fantástica: My husband and I stopped here on a day we were driving home to give us a break from driving and I would highly recommend. Especially if you have littles. I would get there earlier so they could see all the shows as we only caught one but it was great. I can be a harsh judge of aquariums/zoos (I love animals and love to see proper husbandry in captivity) but I was very happy to see that all the animals were very healthy and clearly well cared for. They seem to rescue a lot of exotics from neglect cases so the price is well worth it. The staff was all incredibly friendly. If we are ever in the area again I’m sure we will return.

Experiencia fantástica: WE LOVE THIS PLACE! It is so hands-on and interactive. An incredible experience! You are able to feed baby alligators, stingrays, turtles, and baby sharks. There are various shows throughout the day including a reptile show, scuba diving show, and alligator show. The presenter, Paige is incredibly knowledgeable and interactive with the kids! She is a star!! I highly recommend visiting this aquarium.
