Experiencia fantástica: My partner and I had an amazing experience! We were impressed by the size of the aquarium and the creativity of the exhibits. The tunnel section was especially impressive! They had some different species that I hadn’t even seen before, even after visiting larger aquariums in the Midwest. We went on a Sunday morning and didn’t find it to be too busy, less than 5 minutes to get in and didn’t have to wait to look at the exhibits. I would love to visit again when the construction is done!

Experiencia negativa: I was excited to go however disappointed in the environment and the water seemed murky and inside in was dark and damp. For 19.99 it really was not worth the visit. Children wouldn't mind for adults the visit was a let for the drive.

Experiencia fantástica: My granddaughter and I visited it last week. It had a lot of interactive exhibits.and the shark bridge overhead was amazing. She really enjoyed it. I wish that they had a special price for seniors as weĺl.

Experiencia positiva: It's great to have an aquarium to visit in Cleveland, however, this is probably a one-time visit destination. Aside from the "touch tank" there isn't much to do besides look at the exhibits.

Experiencia fantástica: Always an amazing time with our kids. This is such a fun aquarium to visit with so many aquatic creatures like fish, eels, stingrays, tortoises, turtles, frogs, an octopus, and SHARKS! The shark tunnel is amazing and our kids love going through it 500 times each visit.

Experiencia fantástica: Beautiful aquarium. Clean and well placed. Easy parking. The variety and information regarding the exhibits was wonderful. There's a very nice bench to sit in at the end of walking through the shark tank to just sit and enjoy the antics of the fish and sharks. Perfectly lovely.

Experiencia positiva: Cute little Aquarium, emphasis on the little. It wasn't overly expensive. Took us about 30 minutes to walk through? The shark feeding experience was pretty cool and so was the interactive "pet the stingrays" tank (granted they don't really want to be touched lol)

Experiencia fantástica: Awesome aquarium displays. From the most beautiful fish to the down right ugly. Look closely at the displays as some of the fish, turtles and poison dart frogs like to hide in the foliage. The jellyfish tank was so beautiful, they are very graceful creatures. We pet a stingray as it flew by with its graceful wings. The three sharks swimming around the shark tank lent an ominous presence to the trip. All in all an amazing experience.

Experiencia fantástica: The Greater Cleveland Aquarium is a fun and educational experience for all ages. The exhibits are well-designed and easy to explore, with a great variety of marine life — from local freshwater species to exotic ocean creatures. The shark tunnel is a definite highlight and really exciting to walk through. Staff members are friendly and knowledgeable, always happy to answer questions. A great spot for families, tourists, or anyone who loves learning about aquatic life!

Experiencia fantástica: Adorable museum! The fish were great! I loved seeing the staff feeding the octopus. Very interactive, hands on, and informative. Womens bathroom was clean. Unfortunately, I caught a very very bad cold from being at the aquarium. (Lots of kids and germs!)

Experiencia fantástica: Very nice aquarium, well designed, and nice variety of creatures. We were there for about 1 1/4 hours, which was about the attention span of the grandkids. Entrance fee ($20/14) was reasonable compared to how much some museums cost these days (Rock-n-Roll is $40/30) and parking was very cheap ($3.50). The aquarium is in the old Powerhouse building, which is an architectural beauty. They let in up to 80 people each half hour, so when buying tickets online, you can get an idea of how many people are there. If it says 70 available then only 10 people may show up that half hour (plus walk-ins).

Experiencia negativa: I have been to dozens of aquariums across the nation. I must say this one is lacking. Unfortunately, the plants are all fake which diminish the experience. There is a limited amount of species to see. Visiting this aquarium is similar to visiting a fish store. I did not have any problems with my visit, so reason for the extra star, just not an interesting place in general, if you have been to other aquariums.

Experiencia positiva: $20 is a bit excessive considering I walked through it in less than 35 minutes.. It’s beautiful and very cool but it shouldn’t be more than $12 for adults.

Experiencia positiva: It wasn't as big as I had thought it would be. It is $19.95 per person. They have stingrays you can touch along with a smaller creatation you can touch. All workers are very friendly and informative. Shark tunnel is very nice. Has many other species in it also. As our pictures show, we enjoyed ourselves minus some very loud miss behaved children running & shouting.

Experiencia fantástica: It is so fun that they converted the power plant into an aquarium. It fits the space well, especially the shark tunnel. It's so long. A nice focus on Ohio water life before transitioning to global. Great view of the octopus. Great way to spend an hour or so.

Experiencia positiva: For $20 entrance this isn’t a bad aquarium! We came on a Wednesday right when they opened and we didn’t run into too many people. I probably wouldn’t make the 2 hour drive from Columbus again. Nice experience though!

Experiencia positiva: This was a great place to take my grandchildren for a few hours. I purchased tickets ahead of time online. It is clean and family oriented. My only concerns were it was too crowded for me (Saturday when raining out) and that in addition to somewhat high cost of tickets, there was a parking charge and an overpriced giftshop that you were required to exit through.

Experiencia negativa: EXPENSIVE. it cost $50+ for 2 adults and 1 kid for 4 rooms of fish. No idea why this place has high ratings. Had to pay for parking too. Not worth the ridiculous price tag in my opinion.

Experiencia positiva: Excellent smaller aquarium! Superior quality of exhibits with the shark tank and tunnel being the big draw. Stingray petting tank and open tanks with great views.

Experiencia fantástica: We visited on a Tuesday in mid-April 2025. We arrived at opening. They open the door to the building slightly before they open the doors for the aquarium. It's down one level and to the right after entering the main doors. The parking lot was basically empty and only 2 other groups with us waiting for the doors to open. The building is very photogenic from the outside. There is also a pretty bridge as well. While not the largest aquarium it was themed extremely very well. Each exhibit fit it's theme. The beginning is winding maze through the Ohio lakes and rivers, then Asia & Indonesia and lastly Tropical Forest. Then eventually leads through some smaller hallways with the powerhouse history and industrial habitats to a larger room area with touch tanks and many larger tanks. This area is called the Coastal Boardwalk. At the end you go into the long tunnel with sharks around you call the Shark Seatube. There were scuba divers cleaning as well who were interacting with guest and the kids were loving. There is also a large viewing room to watch the large fish and sharks swim by which is really cool. At the end is a decent size museum store. It had your typical merch with apparel and stuffies and toys which was nice. We spent about 2 hrs going through the entire aquarium taking our time. We would probably not visit again unless there was some kind of new exhibit. The cost was worth it to visit at least once. We've been in much more expensive aquariums but wasn't worth the cost.

Experiencia fantástica: Absolutely amazing experience, I love aquatic life and especially sharks and big fish! Staff were very nice, lots of kids, and you can even pet manta eyes and starfish! Highly recommend!

Experiencia positiva: Amazing attraction for a date, great for kids to explore and learn. All the different aquariums showcased a great variety of sea life and organisms. I would love to see some improvement in the enclosures with real vegetation and more real replication of nature. Most, if not all, the plants are faux. Real plants would make the experience so much better and add life to the aquarium. Overall, I would recommend having a visit!

Experiencia fantástica: Great aquarium, the workers are very friendly. The sharks are impressive. The stingray fish are so fun to play with. Take your time walking through. We always rush through to sharks, and then there's nothing to do.

Experiencia fantástica: A beautiful building revitalized in a truly imaginative way. Hundreds of beautiful creatures displayed in ways that are very easy to see and in Som instances interact with. The tunnel was my kids' favorite part by far with fish and rays swiming overhead. Everything from Ohio River fish to sharks to African aquatic life. The staff were extrely pleasant and very knowledgeable.

Experiencia fantástica: One of the most toddler friendly aquariums I've ever been to. A bit small but SO MUCH care is given to these animals. All tanks are beautiful and well maintained. The facility is clean, well lit, and stroller accessible, even though there are a few tighter spots.

Experiencia fantástica: We had a great time. We went in the morning when they first opened not very busy. Loved walking thru the tunnel. Got to see scuba divers in the tank and they got to answer any questions we had. We bought tickets right at the door. The sting rays were awesome.

Took about an hour to go through but has some great views with a pool to pet & feed stingrays, shark viewing & a tunnel to walk through with a glass ceiling to see fish, sharks, and stingrays. Price was ok considering you are supporting an aquarium. It ends in the gift shop, so parents beware!

Experiencia fantástica: My local zoo spent millions of dollars updating their aquarium, and it is vastly smaller and less interesting. It was worth the drive to Cleveland to walk through this. Very cool. Would go again.

Experiencia fantástica: Really great place. Tons of aquatic life to check out and learn about, the staff is super friendly and happy to answer questions. It preserves a lot of the buildings history and gives info on that, so it's also a history lesson.

Experiencia positiva: We went on a rainy Saturday, and it wasn't as busy as I was expecting. The parking was cheap and easy to use. The place was set up with a nice follow along flow. It was kind of shorter than I expected. It was clean and kind of chilly inside.

My first impression was that it was small, but it just kept going and each room impressed me more than the last the Healthy habitat exhibit by the entrance that was just garbage floating in a tank to spread awareness of pollution was very creative on the aquariums part. The stingray feeding was just an amazing experience. I regret that I have but five stars to give for I would give many more.

Experiencia positiva: Stopped here the day after my birthday with my fiancée on the way out of town. Didn’t realize how busy it would be but it was Sunday so I should’ve assumed. SUPER crowded experience and a ton of little kids running around. A lot of kids ended up bumping into me or tripping me while trying to view the exhibits. I’d recommend going on a weekday perhaps if you want a relaxing experience. The noise level was high, lots of kiddos running about, and not a lot of time to enjoy the full experience. The gift shop was small but nice. I did buy some aquarium coins from their machine, however the sign that indicates that if you use a credit card/Apple Pay you’re going to be charged $15 no matter what was very small. I didn’t want to buy 4 coins, just one. I ended up spending $15 without realizing that was the deal. Parking is easy. Exhibits were cool, although we didn’t get a lot of time to view them given all of the kids running around with parents chasing after them. Go on a weekday when there’s less chance of parents who have little control over their kids if you want to enjoy yourself. Touching the stingrays was fun. If you end up touching them, be prepared to wait in line for the bathroom to wash your hands. I ended up having a kid bump into me while trying to enjoy the experience.

Experiencia positiva: It was a very well kept aquarium. The only thing I would say is that it's very quick to get through it. We expected it to take about an hour and a half and it only ended up taking us 45 minutes to get through. The stingray section was really neat!

The animals looked well kept and taken care of. It is one of the better aquariums I have been to and one of the best in Ohio.

Experiencia positiva: This aquarium is currently being improved. Expect some exhibits to be closed. We loved the turtles, darts frogs and she shark experience. There is a touch tide pool and a place to engage the sting rays. I would check it out, especially on a rainy day.

Experiencia positiva: Very nice aquarium! My 3 year old and 1 year old had a blast. Wasn't terribly busy on Saturday afternoon. A little pricey, but overall it's nice for children! The tunnel was our favorite part. They had a stringray area where you can touch them it was pretty crowded so we didn't do that and I believe had a touch area and that was crowded other than that the flow was good and everyone was respectful of space.

We were surprised with the size of the place, bigger than expected. Great use of the building too. The exhibits they created inside were interesting and contributed to a fun atmosphere.

Experiencia negativa: A fairly small aquarium and not properly priced for the size. Most of the tanks seemed too small and over crowded. Perhaps good for kids but not worth it for more than one visit. It felt dated and in need of a desperate remodel/upgrade.

Experiencia positiva: The place isn’t that big but for a two and three year old it was huge! They make good use of space here and lots of things to see. There’s a tank with sea life you can touch or hold. Lots of large tanks with lots of fish to keep kids interested. We had a great time! The gift shop is incredibly expensive! I paid 39.00 ( this included a 10% discount) for 3 lollipops with tiny stuffed animals on them, because this was the cheapest thing I could find.

Experiencia positiva: Aquarium was small. Not alot to see. But still very cool! Shark tunnel was great. We went through a 2nd time. You could definitely get through the Aquarium in an hour. My wife liked touching the sting ray and have the shrimp crawl on her hand. You have to be very patient when trying to touch the stingrays. You can only put your hand in up to your wrist and the stingrays were not coming close enough. We waited quite awhile and she finally felt one graze her hand with its flipper. We did one of those photo booths. 7 dollars! We did get 3 sets of our 4 pictures. Gift shop was so expensive! We took out time looking at every exhibit and reading about the animals. We loved it. We enjoyed learning the history of the building. It's an old industrial building. One time was enough for me visiting this aquarium.

Experiencia fantástica: We love our little aquarium. Though it's on the smaller end it's one of the best uses of space and existing architecture you can find in an urban museum. They did an excellent job preserving features like brick walls and nooks from the former powerhouse that hold fish tanks now. Super cool for that aspect alone. It's about an hour to walk through. They do have a sting ray touch tank, though in my experience the poor guys tend to avoid being "petted". Can't say I blame them. Kids love the shark tunnel of course.

Experiencia fantástica: What a great hidden gem. We loved the aquarium. I have a 4 yo, and he loved it too. There is so much to see. Also, it is very educational about the lake water and what we do to help it and not help it. I am very glad we found this to do while we were there.

Experiencia fantástica: Getting a pass is a much better deal. You don’t have to feel obligated to stay longer than 30min and can go wherever you’d like.

My 2-year-old daughter absolutely loved it, and it was amazing to see the joy and wonder on her face as she explored the exhibits. The colorful fish, interactive displays, and especially the shark tank were such a hit. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the layout made it easy to navigate even with a little one. It’s the perfect family outing for kids (and adults!) of all ages. We can’t wait to come back! Highly recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: Had no idea Cleveland had an aquarium until we found this. The outside of the building is a little inconspicuous due to it being occupied by multiple businesses besides the aquarium. That being said, I think they utilized the space they had very well. The layout is nice and leads you around the exhibits, with quite a bit of information posted around to read about each tank/animal. I won't mind going back, it makes a nice day trip.

Experiencia fantástica: We ended up getting season passes and it has been the best decision! Great spot for Ohio winters and rainy days when you need out of the house. It takes about 45 mins plus to navigate if you’re going with children. Parking- they have a lot and you can pay for parking inside or if you have a season pass they waive parking (bring your ticket inside and they will print the barcode onto it)

Experiencia positiva: It's a great place for kids, but it definitely not as big as I thought it would be. I took my 7 yr old and she liked it but it would definitely not be a place for older children. There is not many interactive area. The stung rays were not wanting to be pet and there were not many in the tank. That was somewhat disappointing.

Experiencia positiva: This was a very unique experience, the aquarium itself was beautiful and spacious. It didn't feel congested like some other aquariums are. The parking lot/exterior was a little questionable, but you're not there to see the outside of it. I would come back again.

Experiencia fantástica: I've been to aquariums in Key West and Tampa, Florida & Cozumel, Mexico and surprisingly, i found this 1 to be remarkable. My family loved the sharks!! There were plenty of different spots to see the varieties of sea life.

Experiencia positiva: I am new to the area and was checking out some of the local places. Cane across the aquariumwhen I Googled places to see. It was very nice and clean. Helpful staff. But it does not take long to walk through the whole thing. Online reviews said you could spend all day there, we got through it in about an hour. We loved all the marine life and the enclosures.

Experiencia fantástica: Fun aquarium in a great location. Staff are nice, and while the place is kid-friendly it isn't just catering to little ones, so everyone should have a good time. The long tunnel through the massive tank at the end is stunning, as is the octopus exhibit which arches over a pathway. Spent about 2.5 hours here, so definitely worth half a day if you're in the area.

Experiencia fantástica: Very pleasant experience during a recent visit to the Cleveland Aquarium. It was especially nice to see some of the fresh water fish indigenous to the region. The shark tank was an incredible treat. Is this aquarium on par with the Baltimore aquarium? Of course not- however, it’s very clean, the selection is nice, and the staff is very friendly…. And I don’t think you’ll ever get board watching the sharks swim around! This is very worth the visit!

Experiencia fantástica: This is not my first aquarium. But it was one of my favorite! The octopus exhibit was absolutely unreal! The entire staff was friendly informative helpful and proactive. The facility was spotless. My friend and I had an unforgettable time. The outdoor area is just as beautiful as it is inside. You should take a look at night! And amazing variety and a well thought out interactive exhibits made this stop on my tour of Cleveland super memorable! Go Cleveland!

Experiencia fantástica: This is a really cute aquarium that used to be a powerhouse back in the day. The staff was very friendly and made the process of admission smooth. The variety of species of fish were satisfying and the layout of the aquarium is easy to navigate. Each theme or room was beautifully decorated and most of all, the animals looked healthy. The shark want was incredible as well as the caved pathway where you can see the sharks swim around. The ladies at the gift shop was accommodating. Overall it was a good visit and I recommend this place if you want to have a low key indoor activity.

They have touch tanks as well for those interested. The shark tunnel is great as well. Nice gift shop too.

Experiencia positiva: Went to the aquarium last Saturday for the first time. They offered a good variety of fish, turtles, frogs, and even a few snakes. Informative descriptions to learn about each species. I thought it was a nice experience and I had a fun time. You can pet and feed stingrays. The best part was at the end with the overhead tank that you walk through. Wish they offered more tanks like this throughout and had larger fish. Overall, it's a fun experience for anybody. Family friendly.
