Experiencia positiva: Great fishing off the pier and the other people fishing are pleasant and willing to help if you need it. I only have one beef with the pier is that it claims to be a great fishing pier but doesn’t open the pier until 6am. That tells me they care more about the staff than they do about the people who want to fish.

Experiencia fantástica: For only $2, you can do a walking pass. Very interactive with exhibits built into the pier. There's also a small aquarium and a gift shop with snacks. Come when it's getting to be sunset. You might possibly see a jellyfish or even a stingray like we did.

Experiencia positiva: When we go there ,the ocean is too wavy and cold. There were jellyfish and seaweed because it was very windy all week. They even warned us that there might be crabs when my children had sand left over to make sandcastles. No store to buy smthng simple,you must drive your car. Besides, you can find lifeguard,shower and restroom.

Experiencia fantástica: It looks like a great place to fish, and there are a lot of people that fish here. It is also nice to just go out on the pier to sight see, and to watch people catch fish, but also be warned about the sheer number of sharp hooks flying through the air and the number of fish heads being sliced off. It costs money even to sight see, but it is only a few dollars. The entrance is pretty grand, and there is a fish tank, informational exhibits, and a gift shop. I also appreciate that they have a restroom, and that was free, although I'd gladly have paid an entrance fee at the time. It is right next to a public beach, and along the multiuse trail. We biked in about 4 miles through Nags Head.

What stood out was how clean the beach was, especially considering how many people visit every day. It’s clear the staff and community take real pride in keeping the area well cared for. Between the easygoing atmosphere, great ocean views, and well-kept surroundings, Jennette’s Pier hits that rare balance of being both relaxing and thoughtfully maintained. Highly recommended if you're looking for a spot that blends fun, function, and a bit of local heart.

Experiencia fantástica: Went on a field trip with my grandson's class. We all had an amazing time. They let them fish, direct squid, and had a couple more educational things for them to do. Was simply awesome!

Experiencia negativa: If you are fishing then I guess it’s fine but if you just going for a walk, I would skip it. Entry fee is okay but there is literally no place to walk with all the anglers. It was a weekend so I guess it was overcrowded.

Experiencia positiva: It's a very pretty place has a gift shop, but it's very expensive. Triple what you would pay at souvenir stores. The peir is huge and very clean, though. We saw the telescopes but apparently they didn't work, which was very disappointing.

Experiencia fantástica: Nags Head is a beautiful NC beach and Jeanette’s pier is a nice attraction. It draws a lot of surfers and a lot of fisherman. When you come into nags head on 64 it’s not very far away. There’s a lot of public parking that’s free and a lot of people use it just to sunbathe swim and hang out. They have a gift shop with snacks and drinks

If they had categories like "Cleanest restrooms" and "Least likely to collapse into the ocean as you walk on it", this one would be the local winner by a mile. Access to restrooms, gift/snacks/bait & tackle shop, and surprisingly well-maintained aquarium-class fish tanks is free, the pier itself has a fee structure based on activity (day pass 2$, fishing extra). Huge parking lot, beach access, more restrooms and showers in separate buildings. Wheelchair-accessible. Chill vibe all around.

Experiencia negativa: Do not fish at this pier I went there today to fish and I brought all my suff out there knowing my attentions were and after I bought a ticket and took my fishing gear all the way to the end to find out I can land the fish I was going after. I respect that it's there aggression to make the rules BUT!!!!!! when yah make a new rule you need to let the people know and have it posted not wait until we spend our money and won't refund it that's bs so do not fish at this pier

Experiencia fantástica: Great hangout spot on the beach in Nags Head! Even if you’re not fishing off the pier, it’s a prime spot on the ocean to take it easy for a bit and see down the coastline. I enjoyed the pier and the area so much that I used it as a point to plan my next vacation around. See you in April, Jeannette’s Pier!

Experiencia negativa: Honestly coming from Arizona, I was excited to fish here because the reviews were good. I just hated how my family and I were treated yesterday by staff there. We didn't realize they were going to be closing soon 5pm (it was 3:40pm) but the staff gave us a lot of attitude for wanting to fish for just an hour. About 35 minutes into fishing people started giving us grief telling us we needed to pack up (which we had an alarm set for 45mins) so that we could gather everything and return in a timely manner. I get wanting to go home after working all day but you can at least be nice about it and not have multiple people with their arms folded, frustrated staring at us. Worst 86 bucks I have spent in the OBX by far.

Experiencia fantástica: Beautiful pier with a wonderful pier house. The only thing I am not a fan of is the yellow lighting at night for fishing, but this is more of a personal preference thing. All in all, it's a great place to visit on your vacation.

The birds because they were adorable and I'm an animal lover. Gift shop was insanely expensive though. Only two bucks to walk the pier so that was nice.

I watched as a lady caught a stingray, then within seconds of releasing it, a man on the opposite side caught a young hammerhead shark ... like I said, you never know what will happen! Experiencia fantástica: Always a great beach option that's convenient, in a great part of OBX. There is plenty of parking, bathrooms, and the pier itself has a great view and store/mini museum. The beach can get more crowded than other areas, especially with tourists renting nearby houses, but I've never encountered rude or disrespectful beach go-ers. There are usually surf competitions held there as well, which can be really fun to watch. (Pics are from a stormy day with double red flag conditions)

Experiencia fantástica: The view is one of the best in the OBX, and you do not want to miss it. It's cheap to visit and great for fishing or just watching the waves. If you are by yourself or with loved ones, you will enjoy the pier. Check out the shop for great memories to take home as well.

Experiencia fantástica: This pier is a newer pier to the outer banks. It goes pretty far out into the water. We had a really fun time and caught quite a few fish. We are excited to come back again soon! The service is great. The atmosphere is very beautiful! Plenty of parking. We rented poles and bought bait for 3 people, about $70.00. A couple of seagulls got caught in string, and one had a hook go through the beak, and the staff acted quickly and saved both!

Experiencia fantástica: We attended a dinner event in the upstairs room, and it was beautiful, overlooking the ocean. You could step out onto the balcony and see the pier and the ocean beyond. A perfect place for a special event.

Experiencia fantástica: Wide fishing and walking pier with benches and lighting throughout. A couple aquariums filled with local fish you may catch off the pier and rental/shop for any last minute fishing needs. Great setup for fishing with hoses to rinse off tools, cutting boards along the railing, and ADA accessible so you can easily roll a wagon with your gear onto it. Smiling, friendly, helpful staff. Beautiful views of the ocean and shore line. A great experience all around.

Experiencia positiva: We did not go out on the pier because of the stormy weather. We enjoyed the indoor stuff. They have a couple of aquariums, but the coolest thing was the dolphin and sperm whale skeletons they had. These were from animals that died from being beached in the area.

Experiencia fantástica: Truly an amazing place all year long. I don’t fish but i love to take photographs and fly my drone and this place offers unique opportunity to capture sunrises, birds, sea life and also architectural views of the pier. The restaurant is ok but the views are incredible. Parking can be a bit problem during peak summer season however you can get there early and spend your day on the beach. The best pier in OBX.

We enjoyed the fish exhibits inside as well and spent several minutes laughing at this particular angry looking fish and watching him chase the others around the tank!

Great option for renting rods to go fishing and price for walking out and fishing covers the entire day with flexibility to leave and come back throughout the day. My family and I spent over 7 hours total one day on the pier and enjoyed every minute. Great gift shop and friendly people.

Experiencia fantástica: This is the first pier I have ever had to pay to go on but since the proceeds go to the aquarium I didn’t mind the fee. The view is spectacular and my kids really enjoyed all the sites. If you visit here I HIGHLY suggest taking the elevator to the second floor. No one was upstairs and we were able to take some great pics. If you’re in the area I think it’s absolutely worth it to take a walk out here.

Experiencia fantástica: For only a couple dollars per person, you can experience beautiful aquarium exhibits with live fish, educational signs, interactive digital exhibits, A gift shop, an upper level with beautiful lookout of the water (as long as there isn’t an event happening!), walk the pier and watch people catch fish, learn the history of the pier, and take pretty photos. A must do for all ages. Wear comfy shoes and bring a sweatshirt if you get cold easily.
