Experiencia fantástica: This was an amazing experience, and my family and I absolutely loved it! A lot to do, the dolphin show made my wife and sister cry tears of joy! It's great for families. Food is okay, dont get me wrong, but it beats nothing. Really loved this place I can't want to see it again

Experiencia fantástica: I can say that it is a lot better than it was 20yrs ago. There is so much to see and read about. Our great grand son he enjoyed it. The only thing that I can say negatively about it is. The trash along the break water line is unbecoming . It should be clean to set a example for the environment.

Experiencia positiva: One of the better aquariums we've been to. Try to get their early to dodge their parking prices. There's all day parking for $5. Great place to get out of the heat. Be warned though, prices for children especially young ones are steep. Might as well be paying for another adult. Only bad thing I have to say about it.

Experiencia positiva: We loved our time at the aquarium, although the price is the only thing holding it back from getting 5 stars. We got through everything in less than 3 hours (including lunch) and spent $180 on tickets for 2 adults and 2 kids and $40 on lunch for 2 people (we brought lunch for the kids), plus $7 for parking. While it is extremely nice, the price is a little too much for what you get.

Experiencia fantástica: Great experience at the Texas State Aquarium. It was a little pricey to start but the experience was phenomenal so worth it. We enjoyed all the different ecosystems, including birds, fish and other sea animals. The viewing of the tanks is amazing and so fun to just settle in and watch! Highly recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: Amazing time! The line to get in and pay was a little long, but the employees were very fast. For parking they give you a token to use to exit. Don’t forget to save it or else you can’t get out. There’s a sign that says this Aquarium is #3 in the nation you definitely get your moneys worth. Prices: Adults 13 and over $49.95 Children 3 to 12 $36.95 Children 2 and younger $0.00 MILITARY $44.95 For the splash pad make sure to bring your own towel, we didn’t bring one. They sell towels at the gift shop but for $20 and up. Food, drinks and gifts are always overpriced, that’s business. So just come prepared. Make sure to bring your own sunglasses, hats, and sunscreen. And fyi get to the dolphin show early, it fills up with people very quickly, it gets hot in the sun. Try to get a seat under the canopy early. We had to stand in the sun. I really appreciated the seat covers in the bathroom, so thankful for that. Make sure to grab a map and visit all 3 levels to get your moneys worth. Hope this helps you, may the LORD bless you. Experiencia fantástica: Beautiful aquarium! I bought the tickets for admission and parking online a couple of hours before going, and it saved us having to wait to buy the tickets outside the aquarium. We ate at the third floor restaurant, I really enjoyed the food but my family thought it was too spicy. My child had a minor accident, and the aquarium staff was quick to respond and assist us with an ice pack. The splash pad was the highlight of my kids' experience.

Experiencia positiva: We went during the weekday during the summer and it wasn't too crowded. They have interactive activities for children, places to eat, and a cute gift shop. Seeing the student swim with the sharks was a plus. They have a huge variety of animals to see. My only this is, its extremely expensive! $50 a ticket, yes I understand they use that money to keep helping animals but geez! A regular family 2 adults thats already $100 right there! Very expensive! But so long as you keep that in mind, you will enjoy the trip.

Experiencia fantástica: This is a must visit! Idk how many times we said, "oh wow" but it was A LOT. We came on a rainy Monday and practically had the place to ourselves. I was initially a little sticker shocked at the ticket price but after going and learning more about all of the marine rescue and rehabilitation work they do, it felt more than worth it. Highly recommend!!!

Experiencia positiva: AHHHH! This was so AMAZING! I got to see.... SHARKS, DOLPHINS, ℕ, OWLS, SEALS, AND STING RAYS! You need to come to this place now! They also have a cute area where kids can play on a splash plad! During the hottttt summer! This place is fun, yet one thing I did not like is that when me and my dad went to go get food it took so long! But beside s that it was so fun!

Experiencia positiva: Fun stop, great way to see aquatic wildlife, and the talks, feedings, and shows are great. They lose a star for charging $186 for a family of four and then sticking on $7 for parking.

Experiencia fantástica: Kids really enjoyed being able to touch the stingrays, sharks, crabs, and starfish. We weren't able to enjoy the splash pad due to the storm, but staff was very friendly and helpful handling out trash bags so people could leave dry during the storm break. My son had an accident there, caused by me, and staff again were quick and helpful with a first aid kit. Will definitely go again. Hopefully, the weather next time.

Experiencia positiva: It was my first time ever visiting this aquarium. The exhibits are well thought out and informative. I appreciate that they are using the actual names of locations, animals, etc., rather than bending to the whim of whatever is popular. The dolphin show was wonderful. We don't have that type of show at the Monterrey Bay Aquarium, which is closer to where I actually live.

Experiencia fantástica: We visit this aquarium every year on our family beach trip, and it’s been amazing seeing it grow and get better. From animal encounters, to shows, to a cafe next to the sharks, you really can’t beat it. Also, the last time we were there, an alligator got a little hungry and took down a fish that shared his exhibit!

Experiencia fantástica: Great aquarium. One of the best I have been to. Attractuins are clean and well designed. Staff are helpful and friendly. Dolphin show is great. Be sure to stop next door and see their animal rescue center. One of the best in the country and the reason they are there.

Experiencia fantástica: Such a fun experience with two little kiddos. We spent around 2.5 hrs here and perfect time for dolphin show, our kids enjoyed it 100% and had some cotton candy, icecreams. Get your tickets in advance(online) if you do not want to wait in the line in scorching heat. Tip: Getting out of the Parking is confusing because they do not have a pay to get out system so get your coin from the counter where you bought tickets. It’s $7 for all day, you get coin and pay to get out of the parking.

Experiencia fantástica: A must visit!!! Our whole family loved this. It was a great way to entertain everyone and stay cool during the day. They had plenty of food and drink options, so much to see, and the bathrooms were clean and well maintained. The cost is completely worth the visit. Our favorite part was definitely the dolphins! They were lively and seemed happy. All the animals were well kept and they had so many eels to see (my personal favorite).

Experiencia fantástica: The aquarium made us laugh, smile, think, participate, and open our eyes to so many sea specimens and to view what we are doing to our oceans. I couldn't believe how our waste made it to our oceans. I recommend a visit to the aquarium You can cool off in front of the entrance at the water play area they installed since I was last here!

Experiencia fantástica: Absolutely LOVED my experience here! There was so much to see and part of the aquarium was outside on the ocean front, which was so cool. Their sea turtle exhibit consisted of rescued sea turtles that had each been rehabilitated after some kind of ocean injury. Next time I'm in the area I will definitely be dropping by again.

Experiencia positiva: The aquarium was informative and kid-friendly, they even let us touch stingrays and sharks! The dolphin show was amazing and to top it off, the outdoor water park was a blast for the kids. The only downside was that some food vendors only accepted cash and were a bit overpriced but truly, no room to complain when you’ve got ocean views, animals all around, and a historic ship just down the street in sight!

There was a good variety of marine animals, and the exhibits were easy to navigate. We especially appreciated the dolphin and sea turtle areas. The animals looked healthy, and the staff seemed knowledgeable and attentive. It’s a good place to learn about marine life and ocean conservation. I would recommend it to families, tourists, or anyone interested in sea animals.

Experiencia positiva: Overall, it is a beautiful and large aquarium. Lots of interactive exhibits which are always a favorite! You can touch rays, sharks, hermit crabs. The dolphin show was great. The shark tunnel was phenomenal! Lots of sharks to watch and learn about. I love the education worked into every exhibit. A few things could be better though. For one, I don't think people should be allowed to "save seats" for the dolphin show. We got there 25 minutes early to get a seat with our 2 toddlers and still couldn't sit in the front because they let like 3 people save up the whole side of a front row (which ended up being for adults btw.... if my toddlers can sit and wait for a good seat, so can anyone else). Also the splash pad is literal anarchy. They have a single person roving who doesn't even look like they plan to get wet. The worker did nothing for big kids pushing and bullying little kids around, cutting lines for the slides, and splashing other kids who were clearly upset about it. We had to take it into our own hands to correct other people's kids because pigs will fly before I let my kids get pushed around by kids who are WAY old enough to know better. No one should be put in that kind of situation. If you can man a snack shack there (20ft from another one), you can adequately man the splash pad. Overall, I am happy we bought a membership. They are priced great if you can go at least 2-3 times in a year. I loved that it starts when you buy it and it isn't a "season pass" by calendar date. Thank you for what you do for the animals and the opportunities you provide for the public.

Experiencia fantástica: We had a blast here. From feeding the animals to seeing the dolphin show. Just a great experience. We did have a ticketing issue, but they resolved that. Perfect place on the water with great views and a relaxing atmosphere. Plenty to do and see.

Experiencia fantástica: We take our 6th graders on an end-of-year field trip every year and it's always a big hit. They do a "beach cleanup" then enjoy the exhibits, lots to see and do. It's not quite a world-class aquarium but it's definitely worth checking out if you are in town. Between it and their neighbor, the Lexington aircraft carrier, you can definitely have a full day of it!

Friendly staff, fun exhibits and dolphin show. Great view of the North Beach on the patio. The best part was the shark experience they provide!

Experiencia fantástica: My wife and I had an amazing time here we live in the valley and came here for the day. It was nice to see the dolphins and see everything they have. I recommend buying a membership because you only pay once a year and can go when ever you want. The aquarium had so much things to do and look at and our baby boy had so much fun

She is always Very Helpful and Knowledgeable about the animals and exhibits, so I don't miss out on any of their cool facts or behaviors, and about the Aquarium updates, so I know that the presentation schedules do change and I can stay up to date on those. 10/10 employee and great customer support hands down!!

Experiencia fantástica: It was a fun day experience. We have been to several aquariums including the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago which is awesome, and this ranks just below that in my experience. You can't beat the location and the outdoor attractions. We had fun and the staff was very friendly. We loved it.

Experiencia fantástica: This was amazing!! The dolphin Bay show was great! Loved learning about the turtles and all the animals. Getting there is a struggle as the construction is a mess but well worth the effort.

Experiencia positiva: Nice aquarium. We were not disappointed in the exhibit. This is certainly not a major aquarium, but it is a decent aquarium. The exhibits are spread out from one another creating quite a bit of empty space. Maybe that was the design hoping for expansion within. There was no line waiting to get in, that's simply because of the price. Without a doubt it was overpriced. We've seen much larger, better organized aquariums for half the price. No senior discount and a $7 charge for parking. Really now, $93 for two adults and you charge $7 extra for parking? That's excessive, particularly for seniors. We're glad we got to see it but....we won't be back. Been there, seen it, didn't get the tee shirt. Did I mention that the Tee shirt is $56? I understand operational costs but it may be time for re-evaluation of your business strategy vs your worth to the community. The people were very nice and had good knowledge of the exhibits.

Experiencia fantástica: Our trip to the Texas State Aquarium was an amazing experience from start to finish. My wife, daughter, a couple of friends, and I spent the day exploring, and there wasn’t a dull moment. The layout of the aquarium made it easy to navigate, and every exhibit was designed in a way that felt immersive and engaging. Right from the start, my daughter was in awe of everything around her—the massive tanks, the vibrant sea life, and the interactive areas that let her get up close with some of the animals. One of the best parts of the day was the touch pools. My daughter was hesitant at first, but after a little encouragement, she finally reached out to touch one of the small sharks in one of the indoor pools. The second she did, her face lit up, and she couldn’t stop giggling. It was one of those moments that made the whole trip worth it. The dolphin show was another highlight. Watching them leap out of the water and interact with their trainers was just as exciting for us as it was for her. It wasn’t just entertaining—it was informative, too, with the trainers explaining the dolphins’ behaviors and conservation efforts. The underwater tunnel was another incredible part of the experience. Walking through and seeing sharks and rays glide effortlessly above us felt surreal. It really gave the sense of being inside their world. Beyond that, there were plenty of other animals to see, including playful otters, tropical birds, and even some reptiles, which added a nice variety to the visit. One thing we were glad about was arriving early. It gave us plenty of time to explore before the crowds got too big, making it easier to enjoy everything without feeling rushed. The on-site café was decent, though if you have picky eaters or little kids, bringing a few snacks wouldn’t be a bad idea. Overall, the Texas State Aquarium was the perfect spot for a family day out. It had the right balance of fun and education, and we all left feeling like we had experienced something special. Whether you have kids or just want to explore marine life up close, it’s absolutely worth the visit.

Experiencia positiva: Awesome and large with plenty of hands on for the kids to touch sea life. Bonus points for the number of autistic employees who helped explain and quite my own autistic daughter in touching the wildlife. Not 5 stars because of the price. Dolphin show was the best I’ve seen in years. Only issue there was people filled the seats an hour before the show started so we were far away from the action.

Experiencia fantástica: Such a blast! We spent 3 to 4 hours here and the kids (8 and 11) were fascinated. Food was a bit pricey, but you can come and go from your car. Splash pad was geared to younger kids, but still a fun way to stay cool on a hot day! We would definitely go back & see the new exhibits and ALL the amazing angles of the animals! We didn’t know how to pay for parking, but the attendant gave us a coin to get out!

Experiencia positiva: Visited on a Thursday. It was very busy. We sat and watched the dolphin show. The dolphins gave an amazing show! Just a little bummed that they were only taking volunteers from a school that was visiting as well. Right next to the beach.

Experiencia fantástica: Nice, clean aquarium with lots of up close views. Touch the hermit crabs, pet the Stingrays. 3rd floor viewing area looks right at the USS Lexington. They have an Ocelot, sea turtles, alligator, sea otters and a dolphin show. If I was to name the "Toad fish", I'd call him Joe. It looks like he's saying hello . So everybody... Go say hello to Joe . The staff was very friendly, considerate and helpful. It takes about 4 hours to enjoy all of it.

Experiencia fantástica: I LOOOOOOVE THIS PLACE! I get more excited than what my kids do. I got the membership for the year and pay $10 a month, it’s saves you so much money rather than paying every time you go!! UNLIMITED VISITS! I even used the membership to go to the aquarium in Grapevine!! LOOOVE IT!! It’s so much fun, family friendly, you’ll enjoy seeing everything they have there. Totally recommend for your next trip visit. Mind you, it can be quite packed during holidays or like school vacations. Theres no wait time if you have the membership, but no membership, depending how many others are there waiting to buy tickets then there could be some Wait time.

Experiencia fantástica: We visited the Texas State Aquarium for the first time yesterday and got to see so many amazing things. We loved all of the stations where you are allowed to interact and touch some of the animals. Altogether we touched Hermit Crabs, Sharks (I don’t remember the species), Jellyfish, and sting rays! While we were at the flamingo exhibit we got to meet an exhibit host named Miguel, he was extremely informative and even helped us spot some of the free flying birds that were in their aviary. He had a lot of knowledge of birds and was extremely nice. We got to catch a dolphin show which featured some amazing crowd interaction and an amazing trainer team, a turtle talk by a woman named Jenny who was also very informative. The jellyfish area was hosted by a young lady named Sarah who was extremely patient with our 3 year old and made her day! Texas State Aquarium is a very nice place to visit, we could’ve spent all day there. The animals and experiences are amazing, but I’m glad to see that they hire quality people who care deeply about these animals. Became a member and will definitely return.

Experiencia fantástica: What a fun place that has helpful employees and of course AMAZING animals. I love the stories behind the animals that were rescued and now make the aquarium home like Crush in Tortuga Cay. The Turtle Tales were heartwarming to listen to as was the otter presentation. Also, the rehabilitation center/ turtle hospital is located next door and open to visitors on the weekend if you’re interested in learning more about the behind the scenes work this lovely place does. Finally, my favorite part: this is a sensory inclusive space. There were visual cues for quiet spaces and when you may need your headphones to adapt to louder areas as well. They have KultureCity sensory bags available as well.

Experiencia fantástica: I visited the Aquarium with two friends while on a short visit to the Coastal Bend region to see whooping cranes. We were all impressed by the exhibits, the thoughtful presentation of scientific and conservation topics. We especially loved learning about the work done at the Wildlife Rescue Center.

Experiencia positiva: We went on a cold day. Beautiful and clean. Lots of snack options including Starbucks coffee. Not crowded which was great for my autistic 14 year old. The dolphin exhibit was the highlight for us. Indoor dolphin underwater viewing. Also the show at 3pm was exciting and energetic. You can even view the bay outside and occasionally see a dolphin breach. The jungle was too smelly for my sensory kiddo so we did not enter. The sea turtle just laid on the bottom of the shark tank. The outdoor rays were off exhibit because it was too cold. The jellyfish were neat. Not as cool as Monterey Bay Aquarium in California or Tampa Bay Aquarium so I felt the admission price was rather high. But it costs money to provide education and animal care.

Experiencia fantástica: The aquarium is a real treat! I visit with my grandkids often. It’s always neat and clean. My only negative thing is that the porpoise shows are not frequent- so if you want to see that - look up the showtimes to plan ahead. It’s mostly all self guided- for the future hopefully there will be be more hands on learning and teaching with staff. They could use more of that. Overall do not miss it- it’s pricey but locals can get memberships which is a big savings.

Experiencia fantástica: The dolphin show was fantastic and so were the trainers. The hermit crab guy was awesome and shared some funny anecdotes about the hermit crabs and the feisty minnow who was in an exhibit by himself. There was a guy with a man bun who stood guard at the dolphin show before it started at 9am and he was also at the tropical exhibit watching the flamingos. He was so friendly and helpful both times when I had questions for him and he really made the exhibit fun for me. I didn't get his name but he's from NJ. Overall fun aquarium and really great staff!!! Honestly, come for the staff. They're hilarious knowledgeable and really helpful. Sidenote: There was a lonesome macaw with feather issues. I really hope he's okay. (Pictured)

Experiencia fantástica: This place was awesome. We read so many reviews saying it wasn’t worth the money since it’s like $50 a person but we found it more than worth it! We got to touch stingrays, bamboo sharks and watch a live dolphin show!!! We got to see the gator being fed and lots of fishes and sharks too! The turtles were gorgeous and in rehabilitation. The otters were cute and there’s flamingos and parrots! This place is awesome! Oh and amazing views of the ocean and of the Lexington ship

Experiencia positiva: What a fabulous aquarium. Every angle was beautiful. The marine life there was vibrant and pristine. Take extra clothes if possible for the splashpad area. The only area I didn't visit. Offers a beautiful venue for private events. Yes, it's expensive. However, it's the top 5 aquarium, in my opinion. Drawbacks are the floors kinda confused me as to where the Cafe was. Would like the staff to be more informative and approachable when being asked questions. Overall, it was a great visit.

Experiencia positiva: We went on the off-season in December. Not many crowds, but still enough people to make it interesting. Haven't visited in over five years and saw noted changes and additions. It's worth a visit; snacks and some food available.
