Experiencia fantástica: My fiance and I had a great time at the Golden Nugget! Nice hotel for the price, lots of amenities and restaurants, the casino was clean and the pool area was awesome! The bartenders at the pool were fun and attentive.

Experiencia negativa: The rooms need to be updated. Our AC was not working well it was doable. From 7 families who rented rooms at the hotel 3 families from our group requested to change rooms because of the smell of smoke and no refrigerator. Service, was ok, I get the self-checked, but they need more employees at the registration. The location is amazing, everything is walking distance. The main attraction of this hotel is the main pool.

Experiencia negativa: From a Family with 30 Years of Loyalty — Our Golden Nugget Experience We’ve been coming to the Golden Nugget for 30 years, and this was by far the most disappointing visit yet. Here’s what happened: 1. The Welcome: Walking in, we were expecting to be greeted with a warm smile, like in the past. Instead, we were met with a row of kiosks and laptops. The front desk staff stood off to the side talking among themselves, barely acknowledging us. When we asked questions, it felt like we were interrupting them. 2. The Upgrade: We asked about an upgrade and were offered one for $45 more per night. We agreed and were moved to the Rush Tower, which we thought would be more convenient. 3. The Room: At first, the room seemed nice and close. But we were up until 3 AM because of loud music outside. In the morning, I went to take a bath — and found a filthy tub with a hole in it. There was absolutely no way I was sitting in that. 4. The Move: After avoiding the kiosks again, I finally spoke with someone at the front desk. After 3 hours of waiting, we were moved to another room. 5. The Parking Nightmare: It was Friday night. We had plans to gamble and see Kenny Chesney. We rented a car, and valet told us to park around the block because it was free. After the concert, we drove around the ramp for 30 minutes — it was completely full. The attendant said, “Yeah, keep driving around. Not my problem.” We went back to valet — now it was $20 to park. Fine. We paid. Inside, we asked one of the kiosk attendants what was going on. Her response: “Oh yeah, it’s Swim After Dark night. The public can come swim, we know there’s no parking.” Apparently, if you’re not a guest, it’s $50 to park. But for actual guests? Good luck finding a spot. 6. The Overall Vibe: The heart and soul of the Golden Nugget that we’ve known for decades just isn’t there anymore. The personal touch is gone. It felt like we were just a number — expected to figure everything out on our own while staff stood by with little interest in actually helping. This trip was supposed to be a fun, relaxing getaway. Instead, it turned into a series of frustrating situations. From the lack of customer service, dirty accommodations, and parking chaos — it felt like no one really cared whether we were there or not. When talking to the security expressing concerns about homeless people coming up to harass you, their answer. “We are diligent 24/7 to make sure the place is safe.” My answer, was are the security people monitoring the door, where are your staff when the fire code is over limit for people! ? The waitstaff? Five deep behind the bar, talking among themselves. When you ask for a drink, you get, “Yeah… someone does that section, but she never shows up.” Just wow. And the final straw: standing outside, we witnessed a street performer attack a man for tipping him with change instead of bills. He literally ran at him, slammed him into a kiosk, and smashed his head into the corner. Blood everywhere. His buddies yelling, “Get the f@$% out of here!” — and no one stepped in. No security. No police. If you think this is the place to have fun, relax, enjoy a show, and feel safe, you are sadly mistaken. This used to be a special place. Now? It’s chaos, greed, and a complete loss of the hospitality that once made it great. All about the bottom dollar now. Golden Nugget — we miss what you used to be. I STRONGLY STATE! City council members, Casino owners, POLICE chief, spend a NIGHT OR weekend IN THE THICK OF IT! I guarantee YOU WILL change your mind!

Experiencia negativa: We arrived late because there was absolutely ZERO parking. We tried calling front desk multiple times and no one answered. The parking attendant was extremely rude and unhelpful with us trying to find parking to check in saying it was first come, first serve which is horrible for guests. When we finally found parking we arrived to the front desk to find out they had given our room away and were fully booked, No refund or anything. Ask us why we didn’t just use the valet, but the parking attendant told us the valet was closed and again no one was answering the phone to help. We had also booked and paid for other events in the hotel and the area that we don’t even know we can get refunds for. This is the worst hotel experience imaginable.

Experiencia fantástica: Resort fee is worth it. In the middle of the action. Loved the pool, sharks, pool slide, etc. A little miffed the pool hours are so short, 9-7pm.

Experiencia positiva: Rooms are super big and have lovely design. If they place you on the Fremont ["Noisy"] side, you will not be able to sleep if you have any noise sensitivity at all. They provide ear plugs, but if you're like me, ear plugs won't cut it and often cause medical problems when used. If on the "quiet" side, you will still experience noise on "party" nights [though not as loud], and should be able to sleep fairly well. The hotel touts they are a "Non-Smoking" hotel, but this is 2nd time we've stayed here and the room smelled of smoke [which I'm highly allergic to]. The customer service is hit and miss. Some were super helpful and accommodating, while others pretended they would take care of something, and 3 days later, I had to ask again... We were there for 5 days and the reading material in room says they will clean daily if we don't leave a "Privacy" plaque on doorknob. We never placed it and the room didn't get cleaned until I complained to a cleaning service manager I caught in the hall. We will never stay there again.

Experiencia negativa: My family has been staying at the Golden Nugget (las Vegas) for over 50-years. This was our last time. The hotel has grown way too big. It’s confusing, miles long walks to get anywhere and the pool closes at 7pm. Definitely don’t recommend if you have kids with you. Horrible experience - stay away - never going back.

Experiencia fantástica: Staying at this hotel casino was a memorable experience. The lobby was elegant, and check-in was quick and smooth. The casino floor was large and offered both classic and modern games. I enjoyed the live music in the lounge and the variety of restaurants on-site. The pool area was also a nice bonus for relaxing during the day. Overall, it's a great mix of luxury and entertainment.

Experiencia positiva: This may have been one of the most disappointing experiences that I've had at Golden Nugget which is crazy because I have stayed here 2 previous times and they were much better. Even though my friend got stuck in the elevator the first time for 4 hours . They have removed refrigerators and coffee makers from all rooms. We had three rooms, had to pay an additional $50 per room for early check-in and then when we got to the room they weren't even clean. I had medication that needed to be refrigerated and they told me that they could not give me a refrigerator. I would have to upgrade the room if I needed it that bad or that I could always put it in the ice bucket. Or I would have had to get a refrigerator from a third-party medical supply store. We got 1 room with two beds in it under the impression that they were Queens because my kids were having to share a bed. My kids can fit into a queen bed together. No problem. Plenty of space. But no, it was a room with two full beds in it. My kids cannot fit in that bed together because they are teenagers so the bed's not big enough. When I asked them about a pull out couch or a cot they said that they do not supply that. The room My husband and I got was supposed to have a king size bed in it. But this is not a king size. It's queen or the smallest king size bed I've ever seen.

Experiencia negativa: My family and I had the worse experience ever during our stay at the Golden Nugget. A month prior to our Las Vegas visit I called the Golden Nugget to ensure the reservation that was made would be done correctly. We arrived at the hotel and of course the double room suite that we originally requested was not available. We were told they were completely unavailable and that we would need to book a separate room to accommodate our family of 4. As we waited in line to return back to the desk, after booking a second room reservation, we were pulled into the VIP room. The employee there stated that her coworker "did not know what she was talking about" and booked our room. She informed us that the room was not clean but it would be ready as we are top priority. She stated for the inconvenience that we could stay in the previous room until our new suite was ready. 10 Minutes into waiting in that original suite walks in another family. We proceeded back down to the lobby where we were told we had no other option but to wait until the room was ready. My children and I sat quietly in the lounge area until ANOTHER disgruntled employee walks up and begins yelling at one of the children "You can't sleep here. You must move before I call security". After I explained to her that the child is a minor and he dozed off because of exhaustion. I explained the previous scenario and she stated she'd have to look into it. After a series of conversations between various employees we were finally in our room. 20 minutes into getting settled in, security walks into the conjoined suite stating he was there to see where housekeeping had an accident. I was undressed and had to dress quickly to say "Hey we're in here". The room was not cleaned properly. Wallpaper was peeling off the wall. The door knob in one of the bathrooms came off. It was just a horrible experience!!!!! I will never ever stay at this hotel again! The absolute worse experience I've ever had in Las Vegas.

Experiencia positiva: We have been coming to the Nugget for30 years. Love Downtown and the hotel. Over the years--little amentities have been reduced--which were a nice touch (like apples in the Fitness Center and closing of the buffet). But by far the worst is the move to automation at the front desk. My Lord--whose brain child was this? Please Nugget--bring back some people and get rid of this Kiosk. The experience is so bad--I am amazed whom ever came up with this is still with you all. Do Better Nugget. People are important.

Experiencia negativa: I have been on the phone trying to change my reservation for almost an hour. When talking to the company that handles their reservations, they told me I cannot cancel a night and cannot get a refund. I booked less than 3 hours ago. I am already upset that they charge a resort fee that I will not be able to use as I will be there for business. Big waste of $$

Experiencia positiva: Had a great few nights here. Lots of great food and shopping options. The tank pool was fun. The location by the fremont street experience was convenient with a lot of things to do around walking distance. Only draw back was the drawers in the room kept randomly opening on their own, and Netflix wasn’t working on my TV but my friend is another room had a perfectly working Netflix app on hers.

Experiencia negativa: It does not even deserve 1 star; I often stayed in this hotel with my family and friends. This is my 1st time facing this kind of very poor customer service. When I checked in, I got to an outdated room; all the furniture was dirty, the light was broken, and water was damaged in the shower all over. Also, we used to do late check-out; now, you must pay for that. I received an email from the hotel informing me that for Father’s Day, I do not need to pay the resort fee or parking; when I showed the front desk agent the email, he did not even pay attention to it because he was busy with two girls dancing. Then he replied with “NO” because he wanted to return to the girls and had no privacy; I would not recommend this place anymore.

Experiencia negativa: I’m writing to report a negative experience I had with one of the slot attendants named Emmanuel around 12am tonight 06/16 . He was extremely rude and dismissive when I asked for help In regards to my machine saying “call attendant” with my money inside . Thus making me feel like I was bothering him . . I come to your casino expecting a fun and respectful environment, and this behavior was completely unprofessional. I hope this is addressed so others don’t have a similar experience.2 stars because the management did find my money through a ticket & was prompt .

Experiencia negativa: Love Vegas but will never stay here again I was there for a tournament booked for a week and on the second day in I returned to my room to notice a housekeeping garbage bag in the room mind you I didn’t request housekeeping nor did they fix anything in the room. I had put some casino chips and slot vouchers in my draw under my clothes earlier that morning before leaving for an excursion come to be house keeping helped themselves to it and robbed me. Security was quick to respond and let me file a report they saw the vouchers were cashed and were able to track down what happened and confirmed it was housekeeping that took it. Their response is to give you a phone number for risk management to call because they are the only ones that can help you ,after five days straight of calling the number 50 times a day with no answer and getting the runaround from hotel staff I was able to get one security supervisor to help and get in contact with risk management and Boy was his son special had the nerve to tell me I need to take responsibility for having it in my drawer and that they cannot control the actions of their employees. He really had the nerve to put the blame on me. The way they handled the whole situation was terrible and for that alone I will never return. The hotel itself was ok pool was about the only nice thing casino at night is full of hookers and pimps… the room was dated and rust stains all in shower and toilet extra full of water every time I sat down on it I felt like a Lipton tea bag ‍♂️. Only advice I can give is stay away

Experiencia negativa: Worse Than a 1-Star Motel — Local Motels Are Nicer Than This Stay Away Unless You Like Getting Lost and Sleeping in Noise If you want to find your room at the Golden Nugget, be prepared to walk what feels like 5 miles. The layout is a confusing maze, like a bad escape room with misleading signs and room numbers that make no sense. It took us nearly 20 minutes just to find the elevator. The hotel’s design is absolutely not suited for people with mobility issues or poor physical condition. The A/C in the room was extremely loud — it was impossible to sleep. The noise insulation is terrible; we could hear everything from the hallway and outside. To top it off, a bell rang every hour starting at 6 AM. The in-room service was awful: the windows were dirty, the bathroom had mold, rust, and a constant bad smell. We had to call the front desk three times just to get clean towels, fresh sheets, and shower soap. On the first day, I tried to use the iron — but the cord was cut. When I plugged it in, the outlet sparked and almost caught fire. The hairdryer had greasy fingerprints all over it. The towels they finally brought included one with large stains that looked like blood or rust. Disgusting. When you enter the hotel, there are no clear signs or instructions on where to go or what to do. You’re expected to figure everything out magically on your own. Self check-in and checkout are via computer kiosks, but no one helps or explains how to use them. Parking is another nightmare. The entrance is in a totally different area, requiring a detour, and there are no signs or directions. You just drive randomly into a creepy garage and hope to find a spot. No marked numbers, no clear guidance. At the pool, there are no lockers for valuables. The restaurants have nice décor but terrible service and tasteless food. The public areas are noisy but look decent. The rooms, however, are absolutely awful — more like a 1-star motel. And the aquarium in the pool area? Small, overcrowded, with poor fish stuck swimming in circles. Honestly, it feels like animal abuse. Also, in 108-degree heat, there was nowhere to get a drink of water — no fountains, no water stations. We only got plastic cups for water on the second day, after asking multiple times. Do yourself a favor — book somewhere else.

Experiencia negativa: The worst hotel I have ever stayed at!!! Rooms are dated but ok. Staff disinterested and unhelpful. There is ZERO ROOM SERVICING!! IMPOSSIBLE TO GET CLEAN TOWELS, BED MADE, TOILET ROLL, BINS EMPTIED. Every single day at reception complaining and nothing is done. Just get told we are on the list, but no-one turns up!! Do not stay here if it's for more than one night

Experiencia fantástica: Best place to stay on Fremont Street !! I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Las Vegas. Just don’t pay extra for early check in- because even if you are late to regular check in (2 hours) you will have to wait for your room. It’s a great place though and all of the employees are top notch. Beds were comfy, pool was great- it was better than I expected!

Experiencia positiva: Stayed two nights with my family Thursday through Saturday because there was a concert we wanted to see at the Venetian. Overall, I thought it was a nice room for the price and the hotel was generally fine. The kids very much enjoy the water slide. There isn't much to it, but it is cool that it slides through a fish tank. The other guests seemed underwhelmed by the gimmick, but we thought it was fun. The casino spaces are smoky, but I guess that's everywhere. The general area feels a little sketchy (we didn't let our kids walk around outside), and we had to drive to whatever we wanted to do, but that's not really something the hotel has any control over. One plus was that there was a nice selection of restaurants inside the hotel, including a Chick-fil-A which was great for the kids. Our only big complaint was the television. One evening after a big day, we decided to stay in and watch a movie together as a family. We picked up a pizza and settled in, but when we started up the movie on Netflix, we could barely hear it. After fighting with the remote for a while, I called the front desk, and they said the TV volumes were locked down to prevent noise complaints. However, some shows are louder than others, and this one wasn't very loud, so we had to watch the whole movie with subtitles. By then, the pizza was cold, and the kids were super frustrated. So, it pretty much ruined the evening.

Experiencia positiva: I went to stay a night there just for the shark tank slide.It was closed.Every single time Ive been there it is closed. The room was nice and very quiet.There was a homeless man asking for money in the casino,I was a bit dissapointed to see this as security waa only watching and not asking him to leave

Experiencia negativa: We booked a room for four adults under the “Carson Run of House” category. If a hotel is accepting a booking for four people, it’s reasonable to expect sleeping arrangements that can actually accommodate four — at the very least, two beds. Instead, we were given one king bed with no option for a rollaway mattress despite requesting one. Why take a booking for four guests if there’s no proper accommodation available? To make matters worse, we were charged an early check-in fee for arriving just 20 minutes before check-in time — something that was never communicated in advance. The room itself was in poor shape: the bathtub was broken, there was barely any water pressure, and the Wi-Fi didn’t work at all. Overall, it was a frustrating and uncomfortable stay. Definitely not worth the price or the hassle — would not recommend

Experiencia negativa: My recent stay was, unfortunately, disappointing in several key areas. The check-in process felt impersonal and frustrating, dominated almost entirely by machines, with little guidance on how to navigate to your room. Staff assistance at the check-in area was lacking in both professionalism and attitude—particularly one male staff member who appeared disinterested, leaned against the desk yawning, and rolled his eyes when I politely asked for help with the kiosk. Wayfinding throughout the resort is poor unless you are in the casino, where signage is more apparent. The digital resort guide provided very little helpful information. Additionally, the ATM fees are extremely high, which feels exploitative. The quality of the rooms is below expectations—outdated and poorly maintained. The hallways had a strong odor reminiscent of a smoke shop, which made the overall environment unpleasant. Furthermore, I was dismayed by the minimal visible security presence in the casino. While sitting at a table, my wallet was stolen. When I reported the incident, I was told that security footage would not be reviewed for at least three days, which seems both unreasonable and dismissive for a situation involving theft. The pool area itself is a highlight—it’s well-designed and enjoyable. However, the experience was marred by inconsistent opening times. Despite published hours, guests are left waiting in line for staff to open the pool at their leisure, which feels unprofessional and disrespectful of guests’ time. That said, I want to acknowledge and commend the valet and taxi staff. They were by far the most professional, courteous, and helpful team members I interacted with during my stay. Their level of service stood out in contrast to the rest of the resort experience. As someone who lives here in Vegas. I don't think I will be staying here again or recommending it.

Experiencia negativa: This is a 4 star hotel and this was the bathtub. On the last day I called at around 8AM saying that the handle was broken and I could not shower. Someone answered and told me that I would be assisted. Half an hour later I called again. She responded with a rude tone saying someone will arrive shortly. I asked when, she said shortly. Whatever that means. I decided to do other things while I was about to check out. At 10:30 AM nobody showed up yet. This is 4 star hotel by the way. I was in room 1589, this was on Sunday 8th of June. If you actually want to look into it, you can review the calls and who answered those calls since they are monitored. Plus if you are charging me a stupid resort fee of 100 dollars after I booked months in advance I expect the services to work. This was not it. Will never return here. Do NOT recommend.

Experiencia negativa: Got hurt inside the room after the first night. I woke up to use the restroom in the morning and slipped and fell pretty hard as soon as I walked in resulting in a bump on the arm and multiple bruises. Called the front to let them know and they sent Maintenance. Took him seconds to see that the water on the floor was coming from the bottom of the toilet and couldn’t be repaired instantly. So he told me he would tell the front desk to change my room. They called 10 mins later to say they are getting a new room ready and would take off the resort fee for that night. Not once did they ask how I was. After two hours I called again to check the status for the new room and the receptionist was very rude and said idk like it was my fault this happened. I did not have a good time for the rest of my stay for the next 3 days as I was pretty sore from falling. Not a safe stay

Experiencia fantástica: Always fabulous. As a local, I love visiting all the downtown casinos and the nugget is one of my absolute favorites. I will say, charging hotel guests for valet is brutal. I know most places do, but it doesn't change my opinion. You make enough on charging non-guests for parking. Why doesn't the insane resorts fee cover that? But still, love the nugget. Our room was great, and the poker is always good. Cheers!

Experiencia fantástica: As a local, I didn't interact much with the staff so I said average can't judge good or bad. Pool was cute smaller than I had thought, but seems alot of the pools are downtown. My friends room was surprisingly nice and updated. Id definitely get myself a room for a stay cation. Definitely recommend as it was very kid friendly if your traveling as a family, and not a bad spot dolo without crazy young crowds. Very relaxed spot. And there's a smoking area if your a smoker without having to leave the pool area which was nice too.

Experiencia positiva: Great Location on Fremont. I'm from Louisiana and the casino floor drink service was NOT like Louisiana. The casino floor layout is strange also. The rooms were clean but a little outdated and dark brown colors. Saltgrass is inside and delicious as always! Highly recommend the tenderloin bites.

Experiencia fantástica: We love downtown. This was our first day at the Golden nugget. Checking is actually pretty confusing seeing as how only one check-in desk is open there are several closed. We stayed in the rush tower with a rush king suite. Sweet was very nice clean. Bed was comfortable. We could not hear Fremont Street experience from our side. Very easy to access casino and Fremont Street. The pool is amazing lots of fun lots of shade lots of lounge chairs. Only peaked at The hideout. It's fine a small infinity pool without children. The tank is where it's at. Very cool aquarium with sharks. Lots of offerings for restaurants on property but honestly venture out have some real food. For breakfast I recommend the parlor. There are several others nearby. For pizza you cannot beat pizza Rock or Evel pie.

Experiencia negativa: So i am on vacation from Florida, with about 300 players BPO I was out all night and Lola was literally was at every table Monday in the am being attentive as I had two friends playing none stop . At 5 am .First night was ok ! Lola took a turn for the worst Tuesday… I was sitting next to a bunch of friends on the table spendings a lot of money. She then told me to go ahead and play or get up. I put $100 on the table. She wants to verbalize out loud that the night before I wasn’t spending “any money”.”” When no matter what I’ve spent money to be here !!! I’m on vacation I spend money to play here.I spend money the way I want . Any issue with it the night before she would’ve said something or actually ID me monday!!! Never did when night shift came on! Not once look at your cameras. so I put $100 on the table then she wants to go ahead and ID me after I’ve already been sitting for three hours so why am I getting ID after when you verbalize and attack me in second we’re sitting and having about 10 players spend money at your table it’s very unprofessional to say somebody didn’t spend money the night before especially coming from a Manager. That I Sounds like was at your table literally the night before and you were dealing with me all night. Why did you feel the need to ID me after you asked me to put money on the table like I said very attacking and unprofessional then I finally bring the ID up to her after walking up to my room all the players leaving the table ,she said that I’m good that the security will look at my ID. She didn’t need to look at my ID ?!!!!! after I brought it down. ???All my friends have left the table. What an inconvenience to me on my vacation.

Experiencia positiva: We thought we would try this place to experience Fremont street. Honestly, the entire hotel is pretty outdated. Hated the check in process with the kiosks. It was crowded and took forever. We paid to upgrade to the gold tower. Room was really outdated. We only got our room cleaned once because when maids would come every day would always be when we were in the room getting ready to go out for the night (2-4pm) and they never came back. Hated how you had to swipe your card to get to your floor (however I get the security aspect of it). It was just really inconvenient when several people on multiple floors were in the elevators. We stayed here for the pool. But there were soooo many kids and honestly, the pool looked much bigger on line than it really is. If you don’t get there early like 45 minutes before opening) forget about getting a chair. We tried one day paying for the adult only pool but the process was awful. You check in right by the slide, so it was very congested and busy. The payment system was down so they couldn’t take payments. Honestly, probably would just stay on the Strip again like we are used to next time. It was ok for the price we paid but nothing special. We asked one night for extra pillows (only 2 pillows per bed). It took over an hour for them to be delivered and they came after we were already sleeping. And there were four of us in a 2 queen bed room. The room was spacious, but they were definitely NOT queen size beds. They were small full sized, we were sleeping on top of each other. If you are looking for a cheap place to stay, this place would be just fine. Just not overally impressed.

Experiencia negativa: Golden Nugget is not worth the money! I have stayed at many different places in Las Vegas and decided to try Golden Nugget this time. Boy, was that a huge mistake. Not much good about the place. I booked online and put that I had 3 people staying. Upon arrival I was informed that I was given a single double bed room. I guess they expected my 2nd guest to sleep on the floor! The only option the clerk gave me was to upgrade to a double room. Which was like $60 extra each night. Oh and then they don't tell you about the $56 daily resort fee they have. Not sure what that covers because I had no mini fridge or coffee maker and you'll be lucky if you can find parking in the garage. We had to pay an outside parking structure our second night and walk back two blocks to the hotel because the only spaces open were for "reserved" (which I was told was for VIP's) and Budget car rental. No stalls for paying guests. Just first come first serve. So if you can find a spot.......don't leave!!!! The food was subpar and the pool is tiny and sooooo crowded. You could barely walk. Go down the street and stay at El Cortez or even Circus Circus would be better. I wasted so much money just on a super basic room when I could have saved my money and stayed in an equally crappy room somewhere else. The staff are not friendly or helpful. Would not recommend to anyone. Slots were okay - so gamble there, just don't stay.

Experiencia fantástica: Very clean, staff was friendly, just rember it's on freemont so the music can be heard until early morning but we knew it was a party on freemont before we checked in. We just didn't think about hearing the music through the windows. We were in the rush tower. I slept through it but wife said woke her up.‍♂️. Great value for the room we split our days half on strip and half on freemont. We may just skip the strip on next visit.

Experiencia negativa: I would not recommend the golden nugget. The handicap rooms do not meet ADA requirements. The beds Is so high, that I willl probably need the fire department for assistance to get off the floor before our week long stay is over. The pool has two lifts. Neither are working or they are just too lazy to help. Definitely go somewhere else

Experiencia negativa: We are staying here for our wedding weekend (friday-wednesday) and had really high hopes. It has definitely not been great. We paid for early check in Friday ahead of time because we had a lot booked to do. I was assured when I called and set it up that we would definitely be able to check in early so I could make my appointment at their salon. When we arrived they not only didn't have us in the room we had prepaid for online. The woman (who didn't greet or acknowledge me for at least 4 minutes other then to call me up while she did something else) said we couldn't check early so I asked for a manager. She didn't get a manager though she did leave the desk then came back and suddenly could check us into a room in the right tower early. Tried to charge me for early check in even though I had already paid it in advance and didn't believe me until I gave her the date it came out of my bank. Room was not as expected we thought we'd booked a king suite but she said we didn't which definitely complicated my bridesmaids and i getting ready as we had hair and makeup come to us and the room was very tight. We had asked about upgrading our room but were told that she couldn't. While we were finishing up I got an email about w upgrading our room but she said she didn't know why we got that because she couldn't. My salon appointment friday ran over by over an hour because of issues with the hair color mixer though the salon staff was amazing. There's signs all over about resort fees being waived but that definitely wasn't offered or mentioned to us during check in. Overall I wouldn't recommend though we did have a few really great and helpful employee moments it wasn't what was expected especially given the amount of communication and set up I had done in advance. Definitely not a great hotel to book if you have a special event and schedule to stick to.

Experiencia negativa: Very disappointed with Golden Nugget!!! What a shit show!! I have always recommended Golden Nugget to family and friends. However after today I was completely unsatisfied. I arrived at 10:00 and paid for early check in. I waited patiently for a text. Finally at 3:00, I went back up to the front desk to see why I hadn’t received a text for my room. There was a crazy line of people waiting to check in at the kiosk. I waited another 20 minutes at the VIP line if you want to call it that. At 3:30 I got my room on the 21st floor. Then had to wait in line again for the elevator for the Rush tower. I received a text saying my room was ready in the Gold tower. This is after I was already checked into the right tower. I am so annoyed that I waited all day to be put on the 21st floor so every time I will be waiting on the elevator. The guy at the front desk did refund my early check in money and provided us with food credit.

Between the busy casino, variety of dining options, the Showroom and the pool this is one of the best places to stay and play on Fremont Street. If you are a local please note that parking is $25 during the week and $50 on the weekend. If you attend a show in the. Showroom they will validate your parking.

Experiencia fantástica: I go every year for Punk rock bowling. This is my favorite place to stay at in Freemont. Tried to switch to a room with a View of the festival grounds, after requesting it prior to check in & was told it would be no problem. Ended up with view of parking lot and told switching was not an option. Other than that, it's a great place to stay every year.

Experiencia fantástica: I did not stay there, but my son/fiancee did. I wanted to order a room surprise for them after they got married. The staff I was in contact with were extremely accommodating especially "Fernanda Quijas", she was so helpful in helping me do this in such short notice. Thank you again Fernanda. When they returned home they mentioned how excellent their stay was and how great the customer service was at the Golden Nugget, and plan to return. So 5 stars all around!!

Experiencia negativa: I was disappointed by a lot here. Started with the high resort fee when checking in. Even though I paid in full weeks in advance. The gym was closed, and the pool was so busy that it was unusable almost the whole time we were there. I am writing this review because I asked the desk clerk to validate my parking. When i did, he raised his voice at me and snatched my phone from my hand. He passed it over to another employee because he didn't want to do it. This is after I waited in line for over 30 minutes because he wasn't at the counter when the line started to form. This simple task was done easily by a polite young lady the day before that apparently was way better at her job than the guy with terrible hair. Any other place, having a troll yell at me and snatch something out my hand like he did. One of us would have ended up taking a nap. I have stayed in multiple places in Vegas over the years. This was definitely my worst hotel experience in Vegas.

Experiencia positiva: Large but dated room. Not a big deal to us or a problem but would be great to have a fridge and coffee maker. Great shower pressure and large TV is nice. WiFi on the 17th is very poor. It was good last week on the 11th floor. Today we’re on the 17th floor so no noise from Fremont street. Maybe noisy on lower floors at the weekends. Fantastic location. No argument there if you want crazy America and plenty to see. As Brits we really like this. Always fun to walk Fremont. The Grille here is decent and reasonably priced. Sadly, we have stayed here at the GN separately two times in the last two weeks. We are still here now for five nights. Not had a single visit on either stay from housekeeping even though we requested. Again, not a huge deal but ‍♂️… Also, a couple of the 24K players club folk have been so rude and unapproachable. It was the same last year when we came. We tolerate it because we really like the folks at the poker room and the limit game suits us. As far as I can tell there are no other Hold ‘em limit games downtown. Effectively we are captive players so we take the rough with the smooth.

Experiencia negativa: Here now if i could give zero stars i would Bathtub is old & gross. Looks like they tried to paint over the rust....not stepping in there fear of tetanus. Asked for different room was told there was none bc of all the late checkouts told to come back at 1300....so we did then were told housekeeping hadn't released any rooms yet. They weren't the friendliest either.

Experiencia fantástica: May 25 2025 They are amazing, I travel with a small service dog , I'm epileptic and she alerts me when I'm about to have a seizure. I went inside to sitdown because I was getting overwhelmed and my dog and alerted me to find a safe place. I was out of money but I sat at a slot machine, the waitress came up and asked if I was ok . And then asked if my dog needed water , she went and got a bottle and cup for her . I thought she was coming up to ask us to move on since we weren't playing. Thank you to whoever that waitress is for being so kind and thoughtful

Experiencia positiva: I will be returning. This is a clean organized establishment. Casino layout takes a few lost moments to find your way. Especially if the waitress is doing her job. I couldn't get a drink to save my life. Although staff only deals with their position. They won't help just point you in the right direction. Which is fine but should hire or train people to be more than a one trick pony.

Experiencia fantástica: We always stay at the Nugget when we travel to Las Vegas..We always stay in the Gold Tower..We're here from May 23 thru the 27th 2025..Never been SO disappointed in my room..We booked this stay 7 weeks ago..When booking I always tell them I don't want my room to be anywhere near Freemont street!! Guess what?? The music is just blaring.I can sing every verse in my room..Also the room has a window that doesn't get any sunlight light it is Blacked out..So if you like the Gold Tower don't get room 1426!!! Shame on YOU GOLDEN NUGGET!!!!!!

Experiencia positiva: We stayed in the Rush Tower, and our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We appreciated the complimentary earplugs provided for the street noise, as well as the generous supply of bottled water. However, the biggest drawback was the lack of accessible power outlets. There were virtually no free outlets available—we had to unplug the phone and alarm clock (which were hard to reach behind the bed) just to charge our phones. We also had to unplug the coffee maker and standing lamp to power other devices and a humidifier. Considering the Rush Tower recently underwent renovations, we were surprised by this oversight. A suggestion for the hotel: please consider adding alarm clocks with built-in charging ports, as many hotels now offer, or even providing extension cords. It was inconvenient to have to rearrange furniture just to charge our devices.

Experiencia negativa: Filthy bathrooms. Room bathroom was also gross. Black slime in tub. No directions how to get to room. Self checking with no guidance to get to your room or anywhere else. No fridges in rooms. Got seats at steakhouse. After 20 minutes No service for even a drink so we left. Mixed drinks are light on the booze. Circa acrossed the street made excellent drinks and prompt service unlike golden nugget. I tipped $5 a drink too. No rewards for gambling. At least I didn't get any. Gambled $1,500 there alone. Pool closes way to early.

Experiencia positiva: Met all expectations. Had a great time. Hotel is very nice. We booked the room that they assign in Carson tower. It was fine. Room assigned was a deluxe king. Clean and bed was comfortable. It faced Fremont so you could hear it. It was tolerable though.

Experiencia fantástica: As someone who has spent their 20s travelling the world staying in alot of places . The Golden Nugget has to have been one of my fav hotels . The view is so cool, the pool is awesome , rooms are very clean and affordable . I will be sure to come back soon:)

Experiencia fantástica: We've stayed at the Nugget twice now. The first time was great and without any issues. The second time, when we arrived at our room, an electrician was in the room and there was an issue with power on one wall. The immediately moved us to another room. That room had a broken tub in the bathroom. We requested a new room, which they accommodated. However, by the time we got that squares away, we missed the 4 pm close for the tube at the Tank pool. We spoke with management and they extended our check out time the following day so that we could still take our kids 5o enjoy the tube. Overall, I'm quite happy that they made thing right with us and would definitely stay here again.

Experiencia negativa: I am super disappointed in the customer service while staying here. I have been staying here for a week and the customer service has been awful when needed. My room had a clogged shower that I called and asked to be fixed, the guy who came (RON) had a terrible attitude when coming to fix it and did not bring anything with him to do so. He ran the water for a minute or two and the shower apparently wasn’t clogged anymore. Okay, maybe my mistake? No… the shower was still clogged and I had to call for another person the next day. The shower remained clogged and just being told it was fixed each time.. as someone who is staying for an extended time, and had to book my room for a few extra nights I asked if I could be accommodated the same room so I wouldn’t have to move. The guest service agent (Kelly) said no. Okay.. I’m not in the market to argue with someone over something so silly, but since I’m not actually leaving the hotel I asked for a late check out. 12 versus 11AM. She then again started telling me how that’s absolutely not an option and I need to be checked out by 11 so that I can go downstairs and re-check in. I mean, where is the customer service? Does it just not exist anymore? I asked for one extra hour. It’s sad that people are so caught up in being rude that they wouldn’t just make a simple accommodation. Casino/hotels make tons of money, they’re not losing much from a guest who is paying for more nights and wants one extra hour to rest. I decided to call the bell desk to assist with my bags so that I didn’t have to shuffle them around before waiting for another room. The bell desk person who arrived also was rude. Is this a quality the Golden Nugget looks for? I had a tip in hand ready to give the guy (and did) but wow, I couldn’t believe the attitude that continued on him.. what’s going on here? — I also went to the spa. I enjoyed my service from the lady, but the manicure itself was too much. That’s not even the issue, I understand hotel spa prices, but when I saw that I had a nail chipped the polish all the way off less than 24hrs later, I walked up to the spa to ask if they could repair it. It is only one nail and I JUST got it done the day before. I got another “NO” unless I pay a $36 nail repair fee. I just paid $92 + a 20% tip the DAY BEFORE for gel polish. No acrylic, only short nails. So, excuse me if $36 for ONE NAIL is outrageous. I never leave negative reviews, but wow. This place needs some serious customer service improvement. What a disappointing experience.

Experiencia positiva: The nugget is our go to when ever we go to Vegas. Its still old-school, with great renovations. I've never had a complaint until this time. The Rush tower is the newest and nicest tower, but your going to need more than just earplugs. The music from the circas pool blasts until 2am..I wish we would have known ahead of time.

Experiencia fantástica: We were coming to stay in vegas and wanted a different experience other then the strip. We settled on staying at the nugget. This place is great. Plenty of dining options, the rooms were good. Plenty of gambling options as well. The best thing though is the pool. Literally sharks in the tank in the middle so it feels like your swimming with them. If your looking for a greatvplace that's affordable and right on the freemons street experience, look no further. We will definitely be back.

Experiencia positiva: Definitely had mixed feelings about this hotel & casino. I think overall it was an average stay depending on what you’re looking for. I had a standard room, without any upgrades, but I would suggest spending the extra money to not stay in the Carson Tower. Pros: great location on Fremont street, not a far walk do your room, short walk to deuce bus (for the strip), the pool. ABC store has great prices on beer (that you can drink on Fremont) and other beverages. Cons: the room desperately needs a refresh on carpet and paint, room was not the cleanest (stains/splatters all of the walls & ceiling), bathtub was rusty and cracked, VERY difficult to get a pool lounger (plan on waiting in line for 1+ hours if you want one). Casino is super cramped, especially when table games are open. Annoying time share people Safety: as a solo female I felt safe just be smart. Be aware that there are unique characters but there were security officers EVERYWHERE (in hotel & on Fremont st) Important notes: pricy resort fees (this is not a scam, most hotels in the U.S have these in larger cities), Vegas is a smoking city so yes the casino (and others) are going to smell like smoke. Fremont street is NOT kid friendly after 7pm. The pool is ok for kids but there is no diving allowed & slide is not always open. If your kids like an active swimming experience, I would choose another pool. For adults, the no diving helped and there is plenty of pool space to steer clear of kids. The hideout (21+ pool) is great but very little shade & all loungers must be paid for (but free to enter). Drink prices are average of a Vegas pool, cheaper than the strip. I would suggest getting a deuce bus pass instead of uber/lyft if you’re wanting to go back and forth to the strip. No fridge/ coffee maker in Carson room (this is very common in Vegas).

Experiencia fantástica: We got two rooms, one for the teens which was outdated but we LOVE the vibe at the Nugget, our room we upgraded and it was nice and clean, had a fridge. Everyday we all had new bottles of water. You can beat the location of the Nugget if you love the energy and free entertainment on Freemont Street. Prices are way cheaper than the strip too. The kids spent hours in the pool, and who doesn't love seeing sharks and stingrays right up close!

Experiencia fantástica: We love staying at the Golden Nugget! We used to stay on The Strip but there was too much walking. My uncle told us to stay at the Golden Nugget years ago and we've enjoyed it for years now. Everything is pretty convenient and easy to find AND not a million miles away. Great food, service, bartenders, wait staff, beautiful pool, clean rooms, all in a nifty downtown location.

Experiencia fantástica: The room was very clean & well supplied with amenities. No noise or temperature issues. The room was extremely comfortable & luxurious. The service was top-notch The location was perfect, walking distance to many shows, restraunts & bars. I would definitely recommend the Golden Nugget for an excellent stay.

Experiencia negativa: Hotel is old and looks beautiful from the outside. Casino floor is tight when busy and cluttered but still a very fun gambling experience. Location is great and I enjoyed walking the Fremont strip every morning and night. They advertised during check in "upgrading" our room from the Carson to the Golden tower which sounded great We got room 1518 which turned out to be a big disappointment. Several things were broke or just barely worked like the bathtub not draining. Reported many of the issues to the front desk but they didn't have another room to move us to so we opted to have maintenance come and fix the issues. I'm not sure if maintenance ever showed up because the issues were there still after 12 hours of being away that day. Housekeeping only cleaned our room and made our bed once during our 5 night stay and the coffee maker was not clean when we arrived to our room the day we checked in. Fortunately at checkout I was able to obtain a refund of $140 which is appreciated but for everyone looking to stay here in the future please understand this is a old hotel that does not appear to maintain there rooms very well. Some friends that we traveled with here also had similar experiences but we're not able to get a refund for the issues they had with there room.

Experiencia negativa: Nobody assists with check-in, and the staff present are more likely to give you attitude than offer help. Despite being asked about room service preferences during the self-service check-in, the room was never cleaned. When I called to ask why, I was met with more attitude and told, “Well, you never called.” After pointing out that I was never informed I needed to call separately for room service, they admitted that, yes, it’s not written anywhere—but insisted I should have known to do it anyway. Overall, this hotel provides little to no customer service and leaves guests feeling unwelcome and unsupported.

Experiencia negativa: We stayed here this past week as we have never stayed in old Vegas before. Our room was nothing special...zero. A dusty old hotel room that I'm 100% positive has some (gross!) stories to tell. There was a used washcloth that was hanging/draped over the shower rod and the bathtub BARELY drained and my pillow smelled like old vomit. The pool is a different situation all on it's own: we stood in line for an HOUR before the pool opened (it was an 80 degree day) just so we could get loungers. Then, after only being there 20 minutes, people started taking our loungers while we were in the pool. They said that the staff told them that if there are 'towels only" on the chairs, they were up for grabs but not if there were personal items on them. Well, maybe that's the case at 4PM! But we ALL literally just got inside! This situation sent my anxiety to a whole new level! I just can't with this place. It was impossible to relax in the room or in the pool area....which are the two areas a person on vacation SHOULD BE ABLE TO RELAX in. Will not come here again.

Experiencia fantástica: Read the fine print ,,,, we thought we were getting a coffee make and mini fridge but did not, you have to pay for upgrade to get those. The walk from the room to the elevator was very long for such a large hotel you would think they would have more elevators. Other than that the location was great one side of the hotel was right on Freemont St so was easy to get to, short walk to the transit bus the ran the length of the strip every 15 minutes

Experiencia fantástica: We were there to have dinner at Vic and Anthony's with family. They are in a great location next to Fremont Street and all it's activity. There are several great restaurants inside the Golden Nugget.

Experiencia fantástica: I was lucky to stay in the presidential suite in golden nuggets once. It's a two floor suite with a living and dining area downstairs and bedroom, sauna and bathroom upstairs - with entrance and exit possible from both floors to the hotel corridor. The hotel has great dining, and the breakfast buffet is excellent. And being in the main street it has a different kind of vibe than strip.

Experiencia fantástica: Haven't been here in 10 years. Our room service was great, location is perfect, we prefer downtown rather than the strip. The dinners at Saltgrass are delicious. The Grille in the day is perfect. The Shark Tank was worth it with a drink minimum that we knew we would exceed. Our waitress, Alexandria, was amazing and was so accommodating! Clean and perfect for our needs on Freemont!

Experiencia negativa: Checked in. Room was dirty we reported it they said they would have someone clean it fresh towels, sheets, etc. We finally returned to our room and it had not been cleaned. Went back down to tell them and they said The cleaners had already left. Asked to speak to The managers but they said The managers was busy with The nightly audit and wouldnt be done for at least another hour. We left and drive hours back home. other Hotels were booked. Not going back.

Experiencia negativa: We stayed there last year, cell phone was stolen right off a machine while using the wireless charging and casino security didn’t care, didn’t take it seriously, I am not even certain he ever filed the report. The stolen phone turned into a complete identify theft situation by morning. Lost thousands of dollars, all our accounts got hacked. Watch your personal items carefully at this casino!!! We will not be going back.

Experiencia positiva: We went there pretty much for the pool. There were a TON of kids, which made it a little hard to hop in when we got hot, but we still had a great time. I do wish the 21 and older section was bigger and not a section that you had to pay for to get in. The Saltgrass Steak House was AMAZING! The service staff was top notch and the food was really good. As for the room. Those were okay. They were older and pretty ran down, but we were not there for those. The windows are THIN, which made it hard to sleep. We could hear every police car action going on 21 floors down. Would we go back there? Maybe, do I recommend, sure.

Experiencia positiva: Have been coming for years. The pool is soothing during heated days. Budget rental agents with close designated parking are conveniently located. Easy access with no traffic. Variety of restaurants: Japanese, Mexican, Seafood, Italian, Steakhouse. My go to place is Red Asian Cuisine to have Hamachi Kama, Unagi nigiri with a bottle of junmai daiginjo sake. A couple of local brahdas from Hawaii work there.

Experiencia positiva: Here's a concise review for the Golden Nugget Las Vegas based on your experience: --- Golden Nugget Las Vegas - Great Stay with Minor Bathroom Issues My friends and I booked rooms 972 and 974 for a recent day trip to the Golden Nugget Las Vegas, seeking entertainment and value. The overall experience was fantastic—great location, friendly staff, and solid amenities for the price. However, the bathrooms in both rooms showed noticeable wear and tear (see attached photos). The tub's concave surface was particularly problematic, making it difficult to stand securely while showering. Despite this, the stay was enjoyable, and we’d consider returning, hoping for some bathroom upgrades.

Experiencia positiva: We attended the U.S. Open Wrestling at the World Market Center. The Golden Nugget was close to the venue, so the location was good. However, our Room 2292 had 2 bottles of shampoo and no bottle of bath gel. Also, the shower curtain had a very bad and musty smell. If you are a light sleeper, the street music is very loud, so be sure to use the free ear plugs!

Experiencia positiva: Booked 2 nights here to experience Fremont and the older style casinos and hotels. Loved the property as a whole. The casino, pool, bars etc had great service and atmosphere. Rooms are a little dated, but honestly described on website/ booking sites. Micheal helped us check in and was lovely. What disappointed us though was a poor experience with a young blonde haired man on reception at night time who was incredibly rude and supercilious to us about an alleged 'unpaid bill' for which we were 'hard locked' out of our room. This turned out to be a mistake by the hotel (who had only charged my card for one of our two rooms). No apology and he obviously enjoyed making me feel small. Security had to come let me back in the room and this man was also very disrespectful to the security guard, his colleague. He obviously felt he was too good to be nice to a guard. Charged and payment isn't transparent and they seem to struggle to get charges correct as 4 days after check out, I'm still getting random amounts refunded and debited. Overall, I would still recommend the hotel but hope future patrons avoid the blond haired bully and random card charges.

Experiencia negativa: We were very disappointed with the cleanliness of the bed sheets. When we were ready to go to bed we discovered that the sheets were dirty on the inside and on the duvet cover. Wine and crumbs. It was late so we had them change the sheets but it was a big inconvenience. All we were offered was a resort fee credit for one night. Experiencia fantástica: Bumpy start to the day at another local casino we decided to come here definitely a good decision from the staff to the games to the food very pleased. Even though the gentleman that we talked to about a room was definitely very rude still leave my 5 star but would never deal with him we gamble allott he was very arrogant crazy to think.

Experiencia negativa: I am disgusted with this place. They took my family members wheel chair because she is not very mobile and they took it. We spent a long time looking for it and when we asked the security had no idea. We thought it was stolen because they’re so clueless. They were blaming us because she left it 3 machines down from where she was playing she can’t push it because you guessed it she is handicapped. After hours of looking and dealing with the incompetent security for too long they say “oh well we have one what’s the brand name” I don’t know the name it’s from Amazon and the genius detectives kept asking like we were gonna steal someone’s wheel chair the only rude dense people that would do that was them. And you think they could of told us they took the second we asked. And they all had the audacity to have a attitude especially the big older white guy, like buddy you screwed us over… You’re on a power trip to take a wheel chair from a handicapped, I don’t understand. This has never happened and we have been all over the country. Traveling while disabled is already very hard but this is a new low. She was in great pain from the time we had to spend without it. Absolutely trash.

Experiencia negativa: 30 minutes early check in costs extra although I don't know why, the room was "kind of ready" Kind of ready means the tub drained so slow there was almost enough water after a shower to take a bath A call to maintenance didn't seem to make much difference. Reading lights over the bed burnt out which should have been fixed before I even got there Over $600 for 4 nights and such a sore throat from all the cigarette smoke. I went there with some friends to celebrate their anniversary but it's one casino I won't be going back to. The poker room seems ok if you're a regular customer but for a visitor they seem it's be better if you weren't there. If you're not a regular you get past by everyone who is before they'll let you have a seat. Live and learn and I learned not to go back.
