Positive experience: All in all the Aquarium was an good experience. There are a lot of fish and other animals that are really interesing to see. But i have to say i really was disappointed in the size of the Aquarium. It looks really big from the outside but it was smaller from the inside. And for the over 100dollers we paied (as two adults) was way to much for this Aquarium. But the experience was good but it woudlnt be one of my priorities again.

Negative experience: The tunnel under the main tank is neat, and the jellyfish tunnel is cool (except it just smells like chicken nuggets in there) but there's not much else here. The main problem is they oversold it and it was completely packed, you could barely move or see any of the tanks yourself without pushy people everywhere. They must really want the experience of fighting the current pushing through the crowds. Got sick shortly after, probably from the crowds at this place.

Positive experience: The atmosphere is nice and the exhibits are well-designed, but the space feels a bit small overall. It’s not really worth a special trip just for the aquarium, but if you’re already visiting the CN Tower nearby, it’s a decent place to stop by and spend an hour or two.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful as always, my third time attending the aquarium. The fish are amazing, the sharks are awe-inspiring, and the turtles will take you for a trip. It's just an amazing place to spend time if you love aquatic life. Also, go touch a ray, you deserve it!

Positive experience: A very nice place for a family activity. We spend close two 2 hours and enjoyed the visit. The hand sanitizers and the water fountains located at the exit were not working. Monday morning no wait times. Overall satisfactory.

The underwater displays are visually appealing and create an immersive atmosphere. However, the value for money is questionable. The entire experience can be completed in about 45 minutes, which feels short for the ticket price. Many exhibits seemed repetitive, with similar-looking fish in different tanks. Highlights: Good variety of fish species. Clean, well-maintained environment. Engaging for children Areas for improvement:1 Limited diversity in exhibits (more jellyfish and starfish would be welcome). Lack of larger marine life (no dolphins). Better value for ticket price needed Overall, it's a decent attraction for families with young children, but adults and marine enthusiasts might find it lacking in depth and variety. Consider visiting during off-peak hours for a less crowded experience."

Fantastic experience: Under the seaaa! This aquarium is the best one I’ve been to yet! My favorite part was the conveyor-belt-style tunnel walkthrough where you’re surrounded by fish, sharks, turtles, and rays swimming overhead! Also, the behind-the-scenes look into the water pipes and pumping system was unique and very cool.

Fantastic experience: Must visit attraction in Canada, I would say kids and adults would like this place. So many species of fishes, turtles etc. I did not try the food from the cafeteria there but it was pretty busy there. Had a wonderful time here but is it worth visiting twice? I don’t think so.

Negative experience: UPDATE- June 23rd. Business thoughtfully replied. Asked to chat with me via email. I will ask in the email that they please advise customers this is Peak time in peak season. It would help customers to recognize that they would be best to visit at another time. Over sold the time slot. Very frustrating. When you order online and get a time period for your tickets. You would think you would get to see the exhibits. This was not the case. Please consider doing the walkway tram for the whole place. People just park in front of the exhibits. The underwater step on tram was very interesting, however we never saw any exhibits before that one because of the excessive amount of people. What is the fire code for number of people in your building! I am sure it was exceeded Saturday.

Positive experience: Tunnel so fire, busy but tolerable on a crazy Sunday. Enough so that the bathrooms were always available and no wait on entry

Fantastic experience: First place we have been to where we saw so many varieties of fish and other species. It was very well clean and well organized and we got to see all of the attractions. There is also a. lot of interactive things to do and sections for kids to have fun as well. Michael from the Photo section was especially helpful and taught us a lot about the "Axoltel" not sure if I spelled it right, but he was very knowledgeable and was very excited to tell us about the reptile. My daughters really appreciated him taking time to share that information with them.

Fantastic experience: A good place, I like the underwater tunnel, and its family-friendly atmosphere. Jelly fish section was also very amazing.

Positive experience: Quite small. I was expecting to see some amazing things and it was rather sub par. I’ve been to several aquariums throughout the US and wanted this one to be amazing. Just wasn’t. Made it through in about an 1.5 hrs with taking my time. I guess it’s something to do.

Fantastic experience: Nice place to visit and learn about marine and aquatic life. the Pacific kelp and tunnel with travelator was highlight for me. Plenty of places to sit and relax and enjoy the place. Although a bit crowded but still worth it to go

Fantastic experience: Great aquarium with a ton to see and do. Took my teenager and he loved it. There are great activities for little ones as well. Moving walkway was a great way to experience the aquarium especially for those with mobility challenges.

Positive experience: We went that on a week day evening. Didn't have any expectation since I recevied different comments from friends. We like it! not too big or too small. The sea animals are all seems quite happy and active (especially some of them). We enjoy it!

One of the highlights for me was the underwater tunnel, where you can watch sharks and other sea creatures swim above and all around you. It truly feels like being inside the ocean. Whether you are a marine enthusiast or just looking for a memorable attraction in Toronto, Ripley’s Aquarium is definitely worth a visit. I highly recommend it. Oh it’s better if you buy the City Tour package for a better deal.

Positive experience: It’s a pleasant place to visit, and I really enjoyed the moving walkway; it lets you relax and take in all the fish swimming gracefully around you. The whole visit takes about an hour at most, as the aquarium isn’t particularly large compared to some other famous ones I’ve visited around the world, but it’s still quite cool. I appreciated that they also offer a behind-the-scenes look at how the aquarium operates, including their clean ocean initiatives and how they run the filtration and water systems. We went on a weekday before 5 pm, which was fine crowd-wise, but there were a lot of children, so it was pretty noisy..I can’t imagine how busy and loud it must get on weekends. There’s also a pool with stingrays where kids were absolutely thrilled to interact with them; it looked like a fun and engaging spot. I think families with children would really enjoy it and have a great time exploring everything the aquarium has to offer.

A lack of planning of plan on my part left us with nothing to do around 6pm, though, so we Googled what to do and saw Ripley's Aquarium. My daughter said that looks neat, and it sure was. Better then neat. It was awesome, like really awesome! Walking underneath sharks, watching their teeth as they swam over us was so cool man. A sea turtle floated by, jelly fish in another area.

The exhibits are spectacular — from stingrays, sea turtles, and jellyfish to sharks and even axolotls, it’s a beautifully curated journey through aquatic life. There’s even a small section with reptiles and amphibians, adding extra variety. Our son was completely captivated. We went on a Saturday afternoon, which was understandably crowded, so if you're looking for a quieter visit, I’d suggest going first thing in the morning or later in the day. Despite the crowds, everything was well organized, and the flow of the experience kept us moving comfortably. Plan to spend about 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on how much time you like to spend at each exhibit. We loved the tunnel where sharks swim overhead — it was breathtaking — and the glowing jellyfish displays were unforgettable. There’s a small café halfway through, which is handy for a snack or quick break. One note: if you're prone to motion sensitivity or sensory overwhelm, some areas may feel a bit stimulating, especially when it's packed with people. But overall, it’s a must-visit for families or anyone who loves marine life. Highly recommend it — we really enjoyed our visit.

Fantastic experience: I purchased an annual membership a while ago and visit almost every weekend—it’s absolutely worth every penny! The aquarium is clean and well-maintained, home to a diverse array of healthy, fascinating marine animals. Some of my personal favorites include the giant groupers, nurse sharks, zebra sharks, and cownose rays. The underwater tunnel is definitely the main highlight, but honestly, there’s something cool to see around every corner. Even after so many visits, I still discover new things. Just last time, I finally spotted the elusive swell shark in the kelp forest and saw a sea turtle napping up close! Just one thing for suggested improvement: I hope they add more “no flashlight” signs throughout the aquarium, especially right in front of each major tanks(great lakes, kelp forest, ray bay)…

Fantastic experience: My child enjoyed this exhibit. It was full of wonderful aquatic creatures. The staff are amazing and very friendly. Suggestion to parents and participants stop splashing the water during stingray pet time. Try to find a time when less busy so you can enjoy the entire experience. Thank you for having us

Positive experience: It was super busy for a Saturday. Had a 4 year olds birthday party. The party part was good, they did crafts and ate food. We had to do the tour on our owns after we ate which is fine but was hard with kids. So many people just walking into the kids. The biggest thing I want to say is major shout out to the guy who ran the party I forget his name but he was an Asian guy. Was super good with the kids. The one thing that melted my heart was he saw my child covering his ears and shit the door to the party room so it wouldn’t be so loud.

Fantastic experience: An incredibly wonderful place!! Many species of marine fauna from all over the world! 2 hours passed here unnoticed! The ticket price for adults is 56 dollars (including taxes). There is a cafe where you can have a snack and some drinks. There were a lot of people, especially children. I recommend visiting during your visit to Toronto.

Fantastic experience: Hands down the best aquarium in Ontario at minimum and rivals most of Canada. The exhibits are beautiful and well maintained, the staff are helpful and friendly and the only caveat I'd mention is that all the hard surfaces means it gets loud fast for those with sensory concerns. Still very much worth the stop and is fun for kids and adults alike.

Fantastic experience: As a former SCUBA instructor who dived around the world including famous Galapagos island I'm really impressed with this aquarium experience. Definitely recommended. I got mesmerized by Ray aquarium, saw shark, colored jelly fish aquarium and dragon hall.

Fantastic experience: Had a great time at Ripleys Aquarium. If you purchase tickets before hand online, there is no wait and you can get beeped in immediately. It does get very crowded on the weekends and holidays however there are a lot of sea creatures to look at and it was all very educational and fascinating. We got very lucky and saw the octopus come out. Pictures attached.

Fantastic experience: We visited this amazing aquarium during one of the trips we took to visit my sister Charity. She was living in Fergus at the time. I brought my daughter Mya and niece Felicity! We had a blast looking at all the amazing sea creatures. We got to let shrimp eat your fingers a bit and also have a chance to touch sting rays. We loved seeing a shark swimming around and caught it on camera when it swam over our heads. Another thing that we enjoyed was seeing the piranhas! Pretty deadly! It was an incredible value. We will definitely be coming back if we’re in the area. This was the highlight of the summer for me. I love aquariums so this was pretty epic for me!

The main exhibition is incredible, and there’s a moment where you feel completely immersed in the experience, observing a wide variety of marine species up close. There was also a special exhibition featuring different kinds of animals, the “Dragons” exhibit—which was a fun bonus. The jellyfish were mesmerizing, and the manta rays, some of them absolutely huge, were especially impressive and interactive. There’s also a massive, beautiful turtle that really stands out. Positive experience: Nice place to visit if you have kids, it’s smaller compared to quebec aquarium. Wish they add led more exotic fishes and reptiles.

Fantastic experience: Ripley's is the same as its ever been, and that's what I love it for. Same fish, same exhibits, same everything. Love it every time. Though what I will say in the negative is the people there are not very perceptive to their surroundings. I'm in a wheelchair and was kicked, pushed and literally wheeled out of the way several times by attendees. This is not reflective of the staff or facility, as every staff member I spoke to was exceedingly kind. Had a child even climb on to my wheelchair to try and get a better view and it wasn't until I moved them myself that the parents even realized what happened! Just mind that the people around you might not be so great during busier days and you'll have a great time.

Fantastic experience: Place is amazing! I suggest plan your visit ahead of time because buying tickets on the spot specially on a holiday might take a while because of the long queue. Would highly suggest buying tickets online. There is limited food selections inside and its not cheep either. Otherwise the experience was pleasant.

Fantastic experience: This place is unreal! We got tickets ahead of time which had an assigned entry time, but with no time limit I could genuinely have spend the entire day here. The moving walkway through the aquarium tunnel blew my mind, and the feeling I got when that sawfish swam over me for the first time is one I won’t soon forget. We loved the cafe in the middle of things to stop for a pretzel and a coke and unpack all the crazy things we just saw. It was absolutely packed when we were there (Saturday, long weekend, Jays home series) but I was super impressed at how easily things move along even with a crowd that size. We saw everything we came for and then some. Plus the gift shop was pretty rad. We WILL be back!

Positive experience: The only reason I give it a 4 is because of the Stingray Exhibit. The Personnel had to tell visitors CONSTANTLY not to splash and not grab at them or they be welcomed to observe them only. I personally gave my granddaughter crap twice flr NOT doing as she was told. She didn't get to 3 times you're out. She shouldn't have been told more than once. My bad. I'd say every 2 minutes they had to say don't splash or grab at the sting rays. How many warnings before enough is enough? Other than that, my granddaughters and I had a great time. It was clean. It was quite crowded but not overbearing. I would go back again for sure.Maybe on a weekday

Positive experience: Ripley’s Aquarium is super cool with awesome exhibits, but I’m giving it 4 stars because it was way too crowded. It was hard to really enjoy everything with so many people. If you go, try visiting on a weekday—it’ll be way more chill and worth it!

Negative experience: I wanted to share my recent experience at your photo station. The staff on duty were quite impatient and rushed us through the process without taking the time to ensure we were satisfied. They seemed more focused on moving people along quickly rather than providing good customer service. Unfortunately, our family photo was also poorly cropped, and we weren’t informed about how it turned out before being asked to collect it. There was no effort made to communicate or check if we were happy with the final result. We were really looking forward to keeping a nice memory from our visit, but the experience left us disappointed. I hope you’ll consider training staff to be more patient and attentive to guests in the future.

Positive experience: We bought tickets in advance giving us a quick entry- we visited on a weekend, meaning it was very crowded. If you struggle with overstimulation, definitely bring noise cancelling headphones. Lots of kids on the weekend and it gets exceptionally loud in the tunnels. Overall great staff, clean aquariums and lots to see.

Fantastic experience: Just capped my 3rd visit in 3 years to Ripley's Aquarium, and it was every bit as impressive as the first. It’s not just the vibrant sea life or the soothing glide through the underwater tunnel. it’s the care, the cleanliness, and the sense of discovery that really stand out. For me, this is an experience that draws you in and leaves you wanting more. I’ll be back, no question about it.

Fantastic experience: This place is great, so much fun - my 4y/o had an amazing time! There are a ton of marine species, cool interactive games, a play area and an open tank where you can (hopefully, with a bit of luck) pet giant stingrays. Certainly worth checking out!

Positive experience: 4.5 stars, If you're into aquatic life, you'll be very interested in this place. Not a whole lot of interact-able material. But there was the stingrays you can touch. Gift shop was a little pricy. Good customer service. Not too crowded. Great for all ages. Highlights would be animals you don't see all the time like jelly fish and sea horses.

Fantastic experience: Very clean, well-kept tanks with happy, healthy aquatic life. We spent longer than we should have geeking out at the massive filtration systems and how much water it could cycle in a given time period. I really appreciate that they give you places to sit and just stare at the tanks, enjoying their beauty. Great place to go, whether it's for a date, a family day trip, a field trip, or hanging with a friend.

Positive experience: So we went here for the first time and went really enjoyed it! Now I only gave it 4 stars because I think they're very costly. I mean if it was 10 dollars less per person I would've given it 5 stars. The place was clean and had many fishes to see. They even have a food court.

Fantastic experience: Ripley’s Aquarium was such a cool experience. The only thing that threw us off at the start was how unclear the entrance and exit were. There weren’t any obvious signs, and people were kind of walking around in all directions so a bit more guidance would’ve helped. Tickets were $46 for adults and $30 for youth for timed entry. Right at the entrance, there’s a photo booth setup. It looks tempting at first, but honestly, it didn’t seem worth it. The photo is taken in a well-lit area before you actually enter the aquarium, but the clicks are basic with photoshopped backgrounds. Since the aquarium is dimly lit with glass tanks, you can give a try if you wanna capture digital as well as printed copies of your memories. Once you’re inside, it’s amazing. The underwater tunnel with the moving walkway is the highlight, where you’re surrounded by sharks, stingrays, and all kinds of fish. The jellyfish display is absolutely stunning too. Everything is well maintained and visually impressive. There is a small eatery inside if you want a snack or drink during your visit, which is convenient. Washrooms are available and clean, and they’re spread out through different sections. Parking was a bit of a shock. I used MTCC parking nearby, which cost $30 for just two and a half hours. Definitely pricey, so it’s worth checking for other nearby options that might be more affordable.

Fantastic experience: Not really a big fan of aquariums normally but this is an amazing place to visit! I booked tickets online and it was super quick to enter the facility, a quick scan of the barcodes and off you go. It was pretty busy, but not uncomfortable despite pushing my daughter in her wheelchair. The ray experience was a big hit with both my kids and there are many opportunities to take pictures and videos. The tunnel walk is breathtaking, turtles and sharks swimming over your head. If go back in a heartbeat.

Staff were friendly, and the ticket prices were reasonable given the amount of content inside and its popularity. It may be a good idea to book tickets beforehand for holidays, but it is generally not required as the line is typically not that long. A great spot to visit with your family and friends!

The play area next to the snack outlet is an added bonus, as parents can take a break and easily keep an eye on the kids while they play. It was more crowded than we expected, for a Monday afternoon, but the crowd flowed well so there was no congestion. The 'Timed Tickets' that u can purchase on line are cheaper, but make sure to get there during your reserved slot!

Fantastic experience: One of the top places to visit while in Toronto. Go early and during the weekday or it’ll be crowded and you can’t see all the aquariums you’ll want. The only con: the photos they take are very overpriced, so we didn’t get one. You can take your own photos though!

Fantastic experience: Wonderful experience. Went there around 2 pm on the weekend. It was not very crowdy and we booked tickets in advance, so entry was pretty quick and easy. We spent like 2.5 hours exploring all the fishes and animals inside the aquarium. The staff was kind and polite, explaining every queries in detail

Positive experience: Good for a one time visit, Some areas are too tight for the crowd especially the reptile section. Tralvellator is great to view under water species. Kids area definitely needs more engagement. Would have more 3D and new gen things.

Fantastic experience: As a person who generally loves aquariums and zoo gardens, this was a fantastic experience! Walking down a pass with sharks and turtles swimming above your head is extraordinary! And if you feel like it, take a crawl through the narrow tunnel as well! Many different, rare species here, some animals you can even touch under employees supervision, obviously. Definitely recommend this place!

Fantastic experience: A very cool, very family friendly aquarium. The shark tunnel is absolutely incredible, but so is the amount of interactive kid friendly activities. Highly recommend for kids of any age and adults to do on their own as well. Excellent displays and very well kept tanks. It is clear this aquarium carss alot about the environments the different animals are kept in and are very concerned with education and conservation as they are preventing thought the aquarium.

Fantastic experience: Ripley’s Aquarium has some great animals you can admire from pretty close. It is interactive and informative, which makes it fun for both children and adults. There’s also a quiet room for people who need a little break from the noises around them. I believe it is wheelchair and stroller friendly. Would absolutely recommend going!

Fantastic experience: Loved Ripley’s Aquarium! I visited with friends and it was a fun experience. They have a moving walkway that goes through the largest pool, so you get to see sharks and turtles swimming above you!

Fantastic experience: I've been 5x, latest being today. Every time is like the first. I'll never get over the big sharks and turtle!! Today I got the see the octopus for the first time and I was just as excited as all the other children. It's always an amazing experience here. Bathrooms always clean as well. There are sensory stations throughout for anyone needing a bit of a break from the crowds which is an amazing touch to add. Love it over there!

Positive experience: A wonderful place to visit—our kids had a great time, and we were all amazed by the variety of fish and sea creatures! It’s easy to get to and well-organized. Just wish it were a bit bigger with more interactive activities for the little ones.

Fantastic experience: Great experience in Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada. I got tickets from TPL and up to 4 people could go with this ticket. No waiting in line on Tuesday evening. A lot of interactive things that will be enjoyable for the kids. Well-planned space is giving great and smooth experience.

Positive experience: The aquarium is out if this world. We did the sharks after dark. Just note, if you want to eat anything from the Cafe after 7:30 pm they DO NOT serve hot food. Seems kind of silly as you are open until 9 pm. Was disappointed with that. Lost revenue for them as it's packed here.

Fantastic experience: Amazing Experience at Ripley’s Aquarium! I recently visited Ripley’s Aquarium and had such a fantastic time! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was vibrant and inviting. The exhibits are beautifully designed, and there’s a perfect mix of education and entertainment for all ages. The underwater tunnel was definitely a highlight—being surrounded by sharks, rays, and giant sea turtles was absolutely mesmerizing. The jellyfish display and the colorful coral reefs were also stunning. I loved how interactive everything was, especially the touch tanks where you can gently interact with stingrays and horseshoe crabs. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready to answer questions. You can tell they genuinely care about the animals and making sure guests have a memorable visit.

Fantastic experience: We've visited to the aquarium over the weekend. Although it was quite crowded, the waiting time for the ticket line wasn't too long, and the service was good. We used an online coupon to save a bit on the ticket price. We spent around 2 hours exploring the exhibits, and I must say, the aquarium boasts nearly 20,000 species, showcasing an incredible variety of marine life. The displays were well-maintained and the information provided was both engaging and educational. The larger tanks filled with vibrant fish and exotic marine creatures were a highlight for us. The kids absolutely loved the moving walkway through the shark tunnel, where we could see sharks swimming right above us. It was such a thrilling experience. Personally, I found the jellyfish tank mesmerizing, thanks to its beautiful lighting and calming atmosphere. Despite the crowd, the aquarium was well organized, allowing us to enjoy our time and see everything at a comfortable pace.

Positive experience: Even with times tickets it’s extremely busy and can be hard to see stuff. Absolutely buy tickets in advance to avoid a line which starts outside the building. You’re funnelled through pictures as soon as you enter but staff can let you pass through so that you can get on to it. It would be nice if they went back to having some capacity limits, because it was really hot inside and hectic with so many people.
