Fantastic experience: I am so glad I found Rock n Critters. They have been amazing from the very start — not only do they stock top-quality products at great prices, but the advice and support they provide is second to none. Their website is full of accurate and informative guidance, and whenever I’ve been unsure about something, I’ve been able to find the right answers there. When I had an issue with my tank, the owner spent so much time helping me understand how to set everything up properly and even showed me the correct way to test my water. On top of that, we had an emergency situation, and Rock n Critters went above and beyond — coming to my home, removing my old tank, and setting up a new one within just a couple of hours. They even provided pre-heated water so the transition was seamless, and thanks to them my fish are still thriving to this day. The level of service, care, and genuine passion for what they do is outstanding. I cannot recommend Rock n Critters highly enough — truly one of the best stores and teams you could ever hope to find.

The showroom is spotless and thoughtfully laid out, and their livestock from fish, live rock to corals and invertebrates is consistently in top condition. The team were absolutely amazing, knowledgeable, and passionate about marine care. Their advice was so helpful, I felt well supported and never rushed. Fantastic experience: Truly an amazing service! I decided to swoop out a coral from my order and it wasn’t any problem for them. (Before they were dispatched!) The corals are extremely healthy and colourful and I so happy with them! I highly recommend Rock N Critters!

Fantastic experience: Fantastic service. Sent several emails before I purchased and got prompt helpful replies pretty quick. I purchased some live rock and very quickly my tank was up and running. Been six months now and never had ugly stage. It basically took off from day one. I put this down to qualify rock and great advice from rocksncritters. Photo was about 4 months in... Highly recommend and will use again .

Fantastic experience: Made my first trip to rock and critters today. Just Wow. Honestly was like walking into Disneyland. This is the ultimate Welsh marine aquarium store. Corals were stunning healthy and very fairly priced. The fish were out of this world. The clown breeding tanks downstairs especially. The staff were amazing. The tanks and store in general were impeccably clean. For myself I can see no reason I would buy from anywhere else. Thank you to everyone at rock and critters for an amazing experience. Fantastic experience: I can’t fault the service that I continue to receive every time I go. They take their time to inform and discus a variety of marine questions and queries. I’ve never felt rushed and always been listened to even at the end of the day when I’ve definitely been there too long. If you’re after the weird and wonderful of the marine world or even staples they offer a wide variety, one example of this is my mantis shrimp i purchased a little while back who came to me extremely healthy and has continued to flourish. If you’re wondering if it’s worth the drive to come down here 100% is every time. A little picture of my guy bellow.

Fantastic experience: We have visited this shop on a couple of occasions, soon to be a lot more. Its a shame its an hour away. The first time we went we were new to the hobby. Had got a second hand tank, but it just wasn't right. The lady in the shop offered some advice. (Sorry I don't know your name) to which we went away and thought about. We got ourselves a new new aquarium, and some new equipment. Things are running much smoother and better. How ever I still have a few issues. Chris and Damien have been amazing in giving advice. And have got me back on track. Needless to say many of my Saturdays will be spent going to Cardiff from Bristol Thank you

Negative experience: Had fish from these and it died the next day. After about a day or 2 all the rest started to die off. Try to phone them and message there page but didn't get bk to me for days later no offer of a refund. Tried saying it was my water even though I had the water tested before even going to there shop. And I got to be honest I think a lot of the 5 star reviews are family and friends and people living in there street trying to give them a good name

Fantastic experience: We travelled from Gloucester to visit rocks n Critters Great variety fish in Stock and at great prices to and a great selection of every thing else you need for your tank Very nice people to deal with and Knowledgeable We will recommend them and will go there again The lion fish we brought and snils and crab where in great condition and settling in well in the new home

Fantastic experience: I found this place today, whilst in Wales on holiday and Im so glad I did. The staff are ever so friendly, knowledgeable and have the results to back it up. Very healthy livestock with colour and variety that is very rarely seen in the UK. The pictures don't do it justice.

Fantastic experience: What an incredible find! We visited last Saturday 13/03/21 to get some corals after discovering this place thanks to a youtube video by Aarons Aquarium. I've not had a tank set-up for many years and the local fish shops were predominantly tropical fish with a small section for marine. This place is 100% marine, and to be honest, I was like a kid in a sweet shop. There is so much choice there and my only regret is that my little 20g tank is running out of space. The staff were so helpful too! It's clear I now need a much bigger tank and I'll definitely be getting my new set-up from here. Also, using the website to get the cost of the corals was top class. Most corals are numbered, just enter the number and it brings up the cost and other information for the coral. It's a brilliant system and really enhanced my shopping experience!! I was told to create an account online while there so I can claim the points. Can't wait to go back!!

Fantastic experience: This place is brilliant. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but once inside you can see there had been a fair bit of care taken in the set up. The staff are really knowledgeable, friendly, and so helpful! They've helped talk us through setting up a new tank, corrected us when we've made incorrect assumptions, and offered and and all advice needed! I've really appreciated their help, would 100% recommend.

Negative experience: Spent a fortune with them, lost a lot of livestock we purchased off them. Always bought our water off them had constant issues with low salinity, since switching to another shop we have found no such issues. The problems we had with the tank that they installed were still ongoing until the person who we switched to checked it for us, found issues with the amount of pipework put in to quote” £500 too much pipework in here” . The sockets they put in been checked as well and electrician had to sort them out as a few of them were not secured properly and kept tripping out. Numerous other tank issues now thankfully sorted out, since switching to another shop no longer losing livestock either fish or corals. Strongly advise don’t make the same mistakes we made we stuck with them for a good few years and am now sorry we didn’t switch sooner, the difference since switching is dramatic and has prevented us giving up a hobby we as a family love

Negative experience: Would avoid like the plague!! Bought one fish from them and wiped out my entire established reef tank with velvet!!! Was the first and very last time I use them! Lesson learned the hard way I guess. If I could give zero stars I bloody would

Negative experience: wiped out my tank and then they have avoided us like the plague. We have spent a lot of money in their shop and I cannot believe the treatment we have received from them. Being blamed when their fish died the same evening of bringing it home and then wiped out 17 fish within one week, blaming it on our tank! customer service has been shocking.

Fantastic experience: An absolutely amazing shop with passionate staff and a brilliant range of marine livestock. There were some really rare fish on offer. The tanks are well-maintained. There's even a marine fish hatchery. Plenty of products too.
