🗣️ Sea Life Chessington World of Adventures Resort: Reviews
Fantastic experience: There’s no queue for the aquarium. I’ve been a few times to chessington and I wasn’t even aware they had an aquarium. It’s smaller obviously but it’s still great
Positive experience: Sealife is alright, I guess. Lots of fish swimming around, which is cool. Tons of info cards to read, if you're into that. Not much to do besides look, though. Could use more interactive stuff.
Fantastic experience: Loved seeing all of the animals. Had a wonderful chat with Emery about swimming in the ocean.
Fantastic experience: It was wonderful with so many creatures to see but pricey getting photos for £25.00 and no option to get digital versions without the watermark. But still great fun overall and lovely items in the gift shop ‍♀️
Positive experience: Fun day out with my son. Aquarium, zoo and rides. Has it all
Negative experience: Very underwhelming, lots of lights turned off, not a lot of sealife
Fantastic experience: Very family friendly, lots to interact with!
Positive experience: Love all the Sea Life centres all over the UK, I was worried this wouldn't be as good as the others, but it was excellent.
Positive experience: More concerned with the amount of space there was for certain species of fish and their habitat. I didn't see much in terms of genuine plant life except for a few near the end, most of em looked like fake coral formations and plants. It was a little dark too for anyone with vision issues, hold onto someone or stick to a wall. Otherwise it was a fun experience, teens and kids would love getting a close up look at some beloved species (except clown fish, all the aquarium friends are here). I just wish the space was bigger for both fish and guests.
Positive experience: Good fun, with the staff teaching you about the various animals as you walk through.
Positive experience: I find the space well congested although it wasn’t a busy summer holiday time so I was wondering how claustrophobic this could become. Sea creatures and fishes were amazing to watch, staff was friendly but spaces must be extended to avoid people walking over each other. :)
Positive experience: We regularly visit Cheasington as we have annual passes. Our Last visit was dissapointing. The star fish was closed so you couldnt touch them like usual. We also felt that the tanks just seemed dirtier than usual on the inside and out.
Positive experience: I won't say it was bad but it was really not amazing. The aquarium is very well done and has plenty for kids to enjoy. My little one gave a shot at the shrimp crawly experience which she bailed out on right before the shrimp tried to crawl on her fingers. We went at a quite time in mid feb so it was not over crowded at all, otherwise I worry how hard will it be to navigate. There were parts where one could hide into complete darkness and jump to scare fellow visitors, however, my child in me was too tired at that point. Go have fun :D
Fantastic experience: Fantastic experience and some new bits worth the visit
Positive experience: It is nice and small here.
Fantastic experience: A visit to Sea Life Chessington is very informative and interesting and useful for adults and children as well to know about marine life. Exploring different species of fish, their habitats and behaviors, and the underwater ecosystem within the tank can spark a child's curiosity. This can often ignite a new love for learning about marine life, biology, and environmental science. This is the easy way to visit the marine life without venturing into marine waters. We can visit with family and bring children and have them watch, learn and begin to appreciate nature. As they mature, they will make informed decisions on how to interact and respect nature as well as caring for our environment. Sea Life Chessington meet the highest standards in animal care and welfare and provide a fun, safe, and educational family experience. They seem to dedicate a huge amount annually to support and maintain. Visit atleast once and enjoy your weekend with your children.
Fantastic experience: Went for Christmas treat. Kids loved it. Fantastic day out
Fantastic experience: We went on the 30th December with my 2 year old, she loved it. It was busy but not un bearable. They had lots here and of course a tunnel which she loved too. Great little gift shop at the end too.
Fantastic experience: Full size sea life centre in chessington Park. Free entry with normal theme park ticket. Nice and warm in the winter too. Alot too see with fishes and jelly fish and reptiles too. It's maybe 1/4 of the size of the London aquarium. 1/2 the size of the Birmingham one.
Fantastic experience: Nice sealife centre in the park. Adds a little bit extra to the day and good variety.
Positive experience: Nice little addition to the park. This was obviously not going to be as large as normal sealife centres, but we were surprised at how big it actually was. Beware you cannot take pushchairs inside so gotta carry the little ones
Fantastic experience: I always loved aquariums. This was done very nicely, and the gift store was very good too. Spent 5 minutes just choosing which thing to get in the store.
Positive experience: Really nice. Lots to see. A little harder for toddlers to enjoy the interactive experience. Lots to see.
Fantastic experience: A surprisingly large and good aquarium. There's loads to see and friendly staff. Good to do this first thing in the morning when it's quiet.
Positive experience: Lovely little Sealife center inside the Chessington Park nice to walk around and take a moment away from the main park.
Fantastic experience: Nothing bad to say , it looks so small from the outside. It's a bit tight in there so when it's crowded it's a bit of a hassle getting around.
Fantastic experience: Lots of colourful rare fish nice clean displays ,gift shop not that good.
Fantastic experience: The sea life was brilliant my son loved every bit of it especially nemo and dory
Fantastic experience: It’s all about fun for both children and adult!!!
Positive experience: Small sea life center with the normal array of popular fish
Fantastic experience: If I wasn't for the fact that they had a zoo here too this would be pretty pointless, however it's a nice addition, some interesting this to see in here. Kids enjoyed looking at the various sea creatures, there was also a small selection of lizards and things. My own personal disappointment was, no sharks but I can live with that.
Fantastic experience: Fantastic plenty of fish and coral even penguins. Absolutely loved it and i was in amazment the hole time. Lovely staff and all glass tanks was spotless so very easy to see fish clearly.
Fantastic experience: Lovely sealife experience. Smaller than other independent centres we have visited, but it's still packed with lots to see and a family photo for the albums. A clean and well organised centre.
Negative experience: A very small sea life compared to ones in London or birmingham. The shop at the end is also not very big.
Negative experience: Visited on 15/2/22. I am in the process of trying to get my ticket money refunded. The Aquarium was small, partially open and in a state of disrepair. A very bad experience only superceeded by the zoo. Animals kept in depressing conditions with most enclosures being small, badly equiped and very much in need of maintenance. The entire park should be closed for updating, cleaning and maintenance. While the park is closed the staff should be given some training focusing on the fact that visitors are there to enjoy themselves so livening up and even smiling occasionally would be good. I suggest you send some of your senior staff to American theme parks to see how it should be done. I've given it one star as I can't post the review without doing so. One star massively over rates the park.
Positive experience: A decent attraction as part of a larger zoo display, but on its own it is smaller compared to other Sea Life centres. Our 2 children (under 10) enjoyed everything in here, especially the rays.
Positive experience: Small Sealife Centre within the grounds of Chessington zoo that was nice to walk around and look at all the different species of fish, I would imagine that in high season it could get very cramped inside with so many people, but I was lucky and got to walk around with ease other than a couple of pushchairs, nice staff to greet you at the entrance too.
Positive experience: Small for a Sea Life Centre, but good to be included in the price of admission to Chessington. Worth a look if at the park for the day.
Positive experience: Lots of cool animals and information! A little on the smaller side, but still plenty to sea!
Fantastic experience: Small but clean and nice kids loved it. A plus is the rainforest part!
Negative experience: There are not much sea life just small fishes. But you will definitely find a lots of NEMOS.
Fantastic experience: Very nice and best place for sea lovers!
Positive experience: So you wouldn't go to Chessington specifically for the SEA LIFE centre but it's a nice added bonus to have as a bonus and a break between rides. We visited in half term and it was busy (we had to queue for about 25 mins to get in and wear a mask inside). There are a nice variety of fish, probably the best display in my opinion was the tank with the Rays - you can also see tropical fish, anemones, seahorses, turtles, crabs and you can also see some small creatures like skinks, frogs and scorpions. There is a small underwater tunnel, not as big as ones in the big sealife centres. There are no sharks and the handling pool was closed due to covid...
Negative experience: Only reason I gave it two stars was because they didn't charge you to get in
Positive experience: Overall Nice to see with some good variety. It was bit of a shame there was no hands on stuff like a rock pool for the kids though due to covid and the photograph didnt work as my husband had a green shirt on!
Fantastic experience: Awesome little aquarium within the park! There were so many things to see and there were even some insects and reptiles too!
Positive experience: Really nice kept clean and staff friendly - Just very small in comparison to London one but enjoyable
Fantastic experience: Fab little sea life, my son loves walking around there and seeing all the fish
Fantastic experience: Lovely, especially for smaller children or those with sensory issues. Very calming, adorable animals would recommend
Positive experience: Good little aquarium with one main large tropical marine tank with a tunnel as the centrepiece. A ray pool and amazon freshwater tanks are also nice features. The archer fish were probably my favourite.
Fantastic experience: Normally a fantastic place to visit for young and old alike, but a little limited with COVID-19 precautions in place (e.g. no talks, no touch zones, etc). Still worth a walk-through at the moment.
Fantastic experience: Love this place, lot's to see, all the covid restrictions in place. Good job at keeping everyone safe
Fantastic experience: A wonderful place to visit with a great variety of fish and other marine life. My son was very enthusiastic and really having fun!
Fantastic experience: Part of the Chessington World of Adventure ticket price. Gives the day abit more to see and do.
Positive experience: Good enough small but easy to navigate. Good place to go when raining. Nice mixture of fish. My children were mesmerised. Some great little facts and nuggets of information as you walk round
Fantastic experience: Nice and quiet if you get there early.
Positive experience: short but sweet but a good way to get out the rain/crowds
Fantastic experience: Love this place, couldn't see the sharks today though?
Positive experience: Not as good as the one in London but good stuff to make it more worth going to chessington
Fantastic experience: Great wonderful Aquarium to explore on top of all fabulous animals and attractions at Chessington, looks so small but is massive in the inside with big aquarium tanks and the amazing walk through Aquarium experiences must be done on a visit
Fantastic experience: It was nice but little less in comparison from the one in waterloo
Positive experience: Quite small compared to other sea life centres but not disappointing.... everything is there my grandson enjoyed it as did I. Very nice afternoon
Fantastic experience: Awsome fish and it's free!
Fantastic experience: In the words of my 19month old "WOW"
Fantastic experience: Really good exhibition comparing to others I have been to. Highly recommended.
Fantastic experience: Brought my son here and he loved it
Fantastic experience: Very good sea life centre. We all enjoyed this.
Positive experience: Better than we expected, and a good addition to Chessington. It's also nice and warm on a cold / wet day!
Negative experience: Little bit dated, no activities for kids once you are inside, very few spices of fish
Positive experience: This is a small sealife as you would expect inside a merlin entertainments theme park. If you've seen Alton Towers' Sealife then this is exactly the same. However nice and dry to look at sea creatures if its a wet day
Positive experience: More substantial than you expect from the outside! It's quite like the other sea life centres we've visited, with the Ray tank, an area for the kids to try touching and interacting with the rock pool creatures, and a few massive tanks with more immersive viewing experiences, culminating in the walk through shark tank tunnel which the kids enjoyed.
Fantastic experience: Great selection of marine life. Sea lion shows daily and lovely novelty store
Fantastic experience: Family orientation about sea life and there contribute to breeding and re homing the species back in to the nature wildlife habitat. The shark and manta ray was amazing to watch especially in the walk through tunnel A must for you to visit keep up the good work
Positive experience: Not enough rides for grown-ups — nothing to get the heart pumping.
Fantastic experience: So much to do .really need two days to see everything. Very affordable and well woth the money. Take a brolly and rain mac you never no when it will be raining
Positive experience: A smaller version of the Sea Life at the County Halls. It was very busy and congested. We moved swiftly through whilst being herded by so many people.
Positive experience: A smaller version of the Sea Life at the County Halls. It was very busy and congested. We moved swiftly through as whilst being herded by so many people.
Fantastic experience: Great selection of sea life. Educational and fun.
Fantastic experience: Amazing loved every second the tunnel you walk through towards the end was breath taking there was a shark , the staff are very friendly and we'll mannered it's just a shame it was so small
Positive experience: Very good and interactive. There are shark talks and interacted and stroked a star fish. All staff are knowledgeable and very insightful when my daughter asks questions Its small but included with park ticket
Positive experience: Helped me out yet again when other shops let me down. Friendly and reasonably priced.
Positive experience: It isn't as large as the main aquariums (like Sealife Brighton), but it is very fun to go to!
Fantastic experience: Good selection of different types of fish and you can touch a star fish
Positive experience: One of the smaller Sea Lifes but still great
Positive experience: depends what age the kids are. it's ok for our 4 and 3 year old. not keen on all the bits and pieces that are placed around which you need to pay for. arcades/ games etc.
Fantastic experience: Good little sea life centre...my kids thoroughly enjoyed it
Positive experience: Small but good to be included in park costs. Relatively quiet as well, as a result. Good range of fish and a couple of sharks too.
Fantastic experience: Great for the kids to see fish they wouldnt normally get too see
Positive experience: Mini version of the large Sealife Centres and easy to get around. Really enjoyed the exhibits.
Fantastic experience: Wonderful. Our three year old loved it.
Fantastic experience: Good, plenty for the kids to touch and capture their interest! Not as big as city based Sealife's but it's in a theme park! Still has a underwater walk too and a nice little shop at the end!
Fantastic experience: I love this place! There's a lot to see and read about. The ray show where they talk to you about the rays and feed them was very interesting. Thank you.
Positive experience: Nice and filled with life from under the sea
Fantastic experience: A lovely experience, lots to see. Even though the park was busy there were no queues and easy to see the beautiful tropical fish etc. Children love this - well worth taking time out to visit!
Fantastic experience: Wonderful experience seeing the sea creatures and a bit of a petting area.
Positive experience: Awesome place, great species of fish. The only thing I might say is that it gets very crowded and can be expensive as costs inside do add up. Better you take some snacks to cut on expenses but we all loved it
Positive experience: Bit small, but alright for location. Don't expect to spend hours in there. Probably 20 mins. Then again there's so much to see in chessington it doesn't really matter.
Positive experience: good for kids they get to touch some of the sea life such as shrimps and starfish
Positive experience: Small but still a good experience for the kids.
Fantastic experience: Did this right at the end of our day. Loads to see and you can spend as long or as short a time as you want. Nice end to our amazing day. Kids loved the walk through tunnel and the hands on experience
