Ansell Garden Centre

Fantastic experience: This the place I find peace and happiness by seeing my favourite plants spending a day in the side cafe with my nephew, All the staff are very kind and helpful . Today I met Fay who start just month ago, I found her very helpful and friendly with her help I found my favourite plant Wisteria with very reasonable price. We talked a lot about the plants. She showed me some good quality roses as well. Thank you to all the staff.

Positive experience: Easy parking. Have toilet facilities, lost a star as its not looked after, was no soap to wash hands and that's just basic needs for everyone if they have cafe onsite.

Positive experience: Nice garden centre & cafe. The adjoining fruit & veg shop was awful. The staff pounced on you as soon as you walked in. The produce was old and very overpriced.

Positive experience: Just visited to get a specific plant. The place itself is lovely with such a variety of plants and other garden things. Unfortunately since it has been taken over the atmosphere is completely different. The old owners were friendly and personable and made you feel welcome. I have just been ignored at the checkout without any acknowledgement of my existence. Not a Hello or anything. 3 staff, one of whom I assume is the boss too busy chatting about cameras etc. it’s such a shame.

Fantastic experience: Absolute gem of a garden centre with on-site cafe. You could easily spend a day here, there’s so much to see and eat. I love the breakfast menu, nice to see halal options, the shakes are a must and the diverse offering of desserts are to die for. They also have slush puppy machine, perfect to cool down on hot days. Reasonable prices and very friendly staff who are on hand to help if needed. You’ll find everything you need for your garden plus great gifting ideas. The selection sort of reminds me of past times, the olde wolde charm, quite nostalgic in many ways and a rarity for the times we are living in. Plenty of parking space too.

Fantastic experience: This is one of our favourite garden centres. They have a good selection of garden tools, plants , garden furniture, barbecue’s, fountains, and plenty of the usual decorative items that you would expect to find. Cintia’s cafe ☕️ is also very popular. We always like our weekend trips to this place and usually come home with new plants or flowers . There’s a car wash, dog grooming parlour, aquatic centre (with lovely fish ) and more recently a men’s barber shop outside. The new owners have also expanded the car park and seem to be introducing new items in-store too.

Fantastic experience: I've been to so many garden centres in my lifetime and in my opinion this has to be in my top 3. This place is filled with much joy along side the fresh smell of well cut grass. Honestly there isn't to much to say about this place. The atmosphere is nice and you have everything you need for you're gardening adventures!! Also to top things off the employees that worked there really tied the whole experience for me, especially this young bloke Fletcher (the man in green). Although he was busy he put everything aside and helped my mom and I get the things we needed, he's extremely knowledgeable about gardening and treated us with kindness and even placed the heavy bags of soil onto our cart. If you're looking for a quiet and well stocked place to buy all you're gardening goods come here!!!

Negative experience: How hard is it to change your times from open to closed. Absolutely terrible customer service

Negative experience: Charged me full price for plant that had been reduced. I don't live local, so I emailed, but I didn't get a reply. The plant wasn't in the best condition either.

Negative experience: Way too pricey on most, the seafood stall in the car park is the only reason I visit angela is lovely but won't be going here anymore as they have kicked the seafood shack out as of close of day Saturday 29/3/25 I expect the garden centre to lose out on a lot of passing trade . Negative experience: First visit back since being taken over totally different atmosphere alot of the plants needed. Water. Member of staff Adrienna was very polite. And helpful .thankyou for your help. Went back to buy items that i had brought previously very surprised to find out they had more than doubled in price.

Negative experience: I came to the seafood shack today and was sad to hear they’re being kicked out. I come to the seafood shack every Friday it’s part of my weekly routine. Only reason I come to the garden centre. Very disappointing news!

Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough good things about this lovely garden centre! I have been shopping here for about 15 years and yes it maybe under new ownership but the friendly, helpful staff are all still there and are still more than happy to help you any way they can. The coffee shop is wonderful and after a cake and coffee there is a huge selection of plants to browse along with anything you need for your garden! The new owners have already got going on improving the store and are committed to keeping the great friendly atmosphere going while continuing to build on the success of the previous owners and take the centre forward. One thing they have done which has been long overdue is kick out The Seafood Shack. That grubby shack looked terrible and the lady who runs it has no customer skills and is rude and unprofessional. Who wants to buy fish from the back of a car park with cars driving right past pumping fumes out of their exhaust. It’s between a very busy (and great) car wash and a scaffolding/highways yard which constantly has large trucks kicking up dust past the shack. The garden Centre doesn't need this awful business and is better off without!!!

Negative experience: I used to love visiting this garden centre but I was upset to hear how the new owners are treating one of their tenants of an established business of 7+ years. On taking over they gave the Seafood Shack 4 weeks notice to quit. But the worst of it is they are also advertising on a local group on a social media site for small businesses to rent space from them! There were no problems between the Seafood Shack and the previous owners and the new owners have had no other communication other than the eviction notice. The Seafood Shack is popular with the local community and drew a lot of trade to the garden centre also. I am sure the garden centre trade will suffer from this decision, after all, this is not the way to treat people! As for any prospective traders, beware, if they can do it once they can do it again!

Negative experience: Gutted to hear they have kicked the seafood shack out, very disappointing, I used to love this garden centre but won’t be going anymore

Negative experience: Zero stars is all this Garden Center is worth - but there isn't an option for it . It's gone downhill since the new owners have taken over. Staff are rude and don't care, product quality has gone down and as for kicking the Sea Food Shack off the property, that's the last straw. For a small business, which takes up such a small footprint in the car park, and has built up a large customer base over the 7 year tenure, to be given notice to vacate is dispicable. I don't think they realise how valuable having the Sea Food Shack onsite is and how many customers they could potentially lose. I shall not be visiting again and suggest you don't either.

Negative experience: So disappointed to hear that the old owners have left, they were really lovely. However my main disappointment is that within a week of the new owners taking over that they are kicking the Seafood Shack of the property and leave the premises!, they have been there for 7 years plus and also bring trade to the garden centre. Angela the owner of the Seafood Shack has worked hard to build up her business and has many loyal customers. The people that visit The Shack are like a community and it really does bring people together. The fact he only gave her a months notice is disappointing & not a good message to support local businesses. I for one will now never visit Ansells In the future due to this situation. Feeling very disappointed

Positive experience: Lovely Garden Centre with Nice Cafe, food good, Coffee ok. Unfortunately no proper pet section. Could be missing a trick as they are dog friendly. Good Quality Natural Treats for Canines would be brilliant

Fantastic experience: Lovley garden centre, they had everything i needed plus a sale on! Plenty of parking. Lovley cafe inside. There's also a car wash, dog groomers, and barbers in the car park area!

Fantastic experience: Lovely staff, helped us with all our queries, they were really enthusiastic and showed us around and helped us with feed, soil and what we can plant indoors and what will be harder

Positive experience: Garden centre itself very good and dog friendly cannot say the same about the on-site cafe it says dog friendly apart from they didn’t let me my partner and nearly 90 yo grandmother in yes we had thee well behaved dogs with us and some lady said sorry only 2 dogs aloud so we put two of the smaller dogs in the car so we could get a coffee and return with the larger dog! she then said sorry only the smaller dogs can come in and not the one larger dog ( a well trained German shepherd) so we ended up driving all the way to Theo’s cafe in cowley so I could get my grandparent a nice coffee and sandwich after all we have travelled from West Yorkshire to visit Theo’s cafe was welcoming and lovely and extremely dog friendly.

Positive experience: Second time here. On both occasions I have visited just to use the cafe area after meeting people transiting through Heathrow. The cafe is nice and serves a vast selection of food. Overall quality I would say is reasonable to good. Cost wise a little dear for the quality on offer. As for the garden centre itself I can’t really comment. The carpark big enough but between the car wash and loads of stuff laying around navigating it should be taken with care.

Fantastic experience: Had an awesome lunch with our elderly Uncle. Service and price were excellent, the Staff were super attentive and looked after us and Uncle Jack really well. Food portions were generous and good value. Top spot for a get together. Thanks Guys

Fantastic experience: A great place to browse for bits for your garden and home. They are currently focusing on Christmas, so grab your outside lights while there are still lots on the shelves. Most items are competitively priced and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The cafe inside is a very popular bonus. Lots to choose from. Their full English breakfast is great. All in all a handy venue to spend some loose hours buying bits and pieces before grabbing a bite to eat, with ample free parking.

Positive experience: We went to ansell garden centre we were a bit unsure about this place and it just go's to show that you shouldn't juge a book by its cover so when we got inside we were impressed and we used your cafe and again we loved it ❤️

Fantastic experience: Always love to pop in to see what garden shrubs and flowers they have... The chaps are all so very exceedingly helpful!! You must visit the cafe for anything and everything - it's wonderful & scrumptious - that's what we all think , never anything to complain about! The service and smiling faces are the best attribute to the cafe... Well, the food is excellent too!! Ha I'm so glad we went back to Ansells after visiting the Feltham store!! Negative experience: I went in here with relatives for lunch in Cintia's Café Bar I didn't realise this at the time maybe it's because they don't tell you ANYTHING ABOUT IT They in my opinion ripped me off by charging me a service charge @12.50% I'm disgusted that they didn't even tell me this was added to the bill Will definitely won't be going back and suggest others ask if they are being charged I'm sure there are standards saying they have to let you know this is being done. THEY DIDN'T TELL ME As far as I'm concerned if I want to leave a tip it's upto ME if I do Does this money actually go to the staff?

Fantastic experience: Go here every month with 2 work colleagues, good food and service in the restaurant and lots to see in the centre at good prices

Negative experience: Cafe is over priced bottle of orange juice for my son £3! Wanted to look around with my mum at the main shop but felt very uncomfortable by the paranoid employee's glaring eyes at us, about 3 men following us around and watching us probably thinking either my son would damage stock or we were thieves. Has put me off from returning

Positive experience: There is a large assortment of garden accessories like gnomes, lights, yard ornaments, etc. the aquatic center is interesting and has an assortment of unusual species. The garden part though was a bit disappointing as the plants were a bit rough looking and not a great price for the quality.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly staff. You can find everything that you need in there. Plants are very well looked after. There is plenty of parking. There is a cafe, a very good car wash and a barber. It's pet friendly, too. I came with my dog.

Negative experience: Not overtly dog friendly unfortunately so limited to area to eat there as strict on dog numbers. Had to sit outside as only 2 small dogs allowed in the large cafe area at a time irrelevant of people numbers, size of dogs or how well behaved or tied up. In end had to rush our food due to temperature /weather change. Not impressed with food that much as not sure if due to the rush or the food itself but I had an irritated stomach for 2 days!

Negative experience: This review is mainly for the cafe. Cakes were highly synthetic tasting and one (banoffee pie) was so unpleasant it was inedible. Bananas were black and 'cream' (not sure what it was actually made from) was disgusting. Very slow service. There is outside seating but unfortunately filled with smokers so not appropriate for family seating with young children. The rest of the garden centre seemed fine but quite run down. Staff were friendly enough. Great selection of fish but I was surprised to see 2 large rays in such a small tank?

Fantastic experience: Excellent place either we have a plan to buy or not - worth giving a visit for 30-60 minutes. Excellent plants, seeds, aquarium colour fishes, garden items are available. Please do visit only by car, don't plan to come here by public transport - they do have bus stops nearby, but I do feel the road is not safe to cross or walk especially if you have kids.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming here for many many years. The experience is like none other the variety of products- Value - the personal experience with well mannered staff always willing to help - guide - and recommend the best options in whatever you need. I have personally experienced when in early this year when shopping here I was being helped to find some discounts he offered to supply so many items to a local charity , in which I was so delighted and offers to take to our local charity shop. The gentleman was so kind and even helped me put all the items into the car. I really appreciate and enjoyed going there as early breakfast and a lovely aquarium in house that really makes your day . The is ample car parking may I add it’s free. A very customer friendly service you will receive. Thank you team Ansell.

Positive experience: We had a lovely meal in the restaurant but the shortbread biscuit was appalling. So dry and tasteless I could hardly eat it even with a drink. Staff were excellent.

Fantastic experience: Great customer service beautifully laid out plants and accessories went for flowers for hanging baskets first time I been there .definitely going alot more and great value on very healthy flowers and plants

Fantastic experience: Very comprehensive range of healthy looking plants, compost, and all those other products that may help to keep your garden flourishing. Pricing is competitive too. On busy days parking can be a problem, just be patient !

Fantastic experience: Absolutely fantastic garden centre. Have been coming here for many years now. Recently I've bought so many things from here, such as the coloured lights, plant pots and mini conifers. Never gone into the cafe, but looks nice. Staff are so helpful and friendly. Lots of parking there.

Positive experience: My friend recommended Ansell Garden Centre some time ago. I was really keen to discover. When arrived it impressed me with its size, big car park, huge selection of plants, trees, flowers and all sorts of decor for your garden. They have very pretty coffee shop there which I thought slightly pricey. What disappointed me ladies who served food weren’t wearing any aprons, no uniforms felt to casual. The food was good, but we payed £30 for breakfast and coffee for two people and I really thought it was a bit too much. Please see pictures attached. They have brilliant selection of aquariums and fish.

Fantastic experience: I bought a lot of plants from Ansell’s. Such a lovely place. The staff were very helpful and experienced. As a first time gardener, I was rather nervous but the staff put my mind at ease by explaining everything clearly and helped me with what I might need to succeed.

Negative experience: Very nice, polite, helpful and knowledgeable staff. Great choice of plants and garden tools - 5 stars for that! But... On top of the music played via tannoys (it is always in good taste and at the right volume) there's a number of promotional video stations scattered all over the floor. They play looped product videos and the cacophony of it is absolutely unbearable.

Fantastic experience: Amazing garden centre, so much taken care of by the lovely and knowledgeable people! I’m so impressed- the garden centre itself and the cafe are so welcoming, clean and very well stocked & organised. There is a good selection of other garden related items, like BBQ, pizza ovens, furniture, decorations and books. Very well managed and super happy with their friendly and polite staff! We were given a very thorough advice on the plants and well served at the check out. They put everything in the cardboard trays, which made it so easy to place to and remove from the car, not mentioning no mess. Thank you! And we’ll be back!! Highly recommend Ansell Garden centre and the cafe inside!

Fantastic experience: Fab! All staff are so friendly & helpful. Nothing is a bother & they go out of their way to help you (transporting things to car, walking across the other side of the centre to find you something, excellent plant & growing knowledge, etc). Good size car park too. Home delivery charges for larger plants & trees, etc, is very reasonable. And everything I have bought from there has been hardy & survived well. Toilets are always clean too.

Positive experience: There is plenty of variety for a garden centre bought a few gifts reasonable prices. If you need to purchase something large, get there early as the carpark does get packed out.

Fantastic experience: Amazing service by Allan. He saw me struggling to pick up 50l compost bag. He loaded my trolley with 16 bags. Pushed the trolley to the till and then to my car. We had to do this in two loads. He was very strong and quick made it look like 5l bags. Thank you so much Allan!

Positive experience: Had lunch at Cyntia's cafe which was very tasty as usual. The portions are good sized too. The only comment is about so many dogs being allowed in the cafe area. Some people may like it but some don't. Perhaps it's time to have a separate dogs area like there are separate smoking areas in places.

Fantastic experience: Superb garden centre bursting with stock. Great plants, staff are friendly and helpful and the cafe is good. The older guy outside is really knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Definitely my favourite garden centre now!

Fantastic experience: It is a quiet and quite nice place. Staff, especially in the garden area, are very attentive and friendly. I only discovered this place last December even though it's 2 miles from my home. The food in the restaurant isn't cheap(hence I can't go often), however the experience of food and the atmosphere is nice. It seems always full around lunchtime. Definitely recommended it

Fantastic experience: Lovely friendly garden center. Came here for a cuppa & cake with our Dementia Care Home. The service in the cafe was excellent. We ordered and were then asked to sit down while the staff in the cafe bought our order to us in 6 trays of 12 tea & coffee and 12 big slabs of delicious cake to our table for us. A great selection of different cakes and scones, various filled sandwiches and a good selection of hot food to order although the menu was not vast. Prices vary but good quality and portions. Toilets available, also a disabled toilet which were all clean and tidy. There was a good sale of Christmas items at discounted prices and a lovely selection of indoor plants. We didn't go into the plant area as it was outside and it was to cold to take our residents out but there seemed to be a good selection out there as well which we could see through the window. All in all a lovely little place for a leisurely cuppa and a wander for an hour or so.

Negative experience: Not a nice place to eat when you got 30 Romanian car wash gang members making loads of noise and staring at Ur Mrs whilst I try eat.. no thankyou .. they took over the outside cafe.. you should have more control of your so called customers.. won't be back soon. 7 year customer lost..

Fantastic experience: Such a lovely place with lots of different things inside. The fish section is huge. The Christmas section is really nice too. There’s a cafe inside which is a little gem - the food and atmosphere is amazing! It’s a great day out in the West Drayton area - recommend it!

Fantastic experience: I visit Ansell often mainly because in addition to being extremely well stocked the staff are super helpful! I always get help to load heavy bags of bark or topsoil into my car. They all are very knowledgable about gardening matters. I think the best garden centre I have visited. Keep it up Ansell !!

Fantastic experience: Great place for gifts as well as plants. Very friendly too.

Positive experience: Had lunch there today, as did many, it was very busy. A 30 minute wait for two salads was kind of forgiveable as we sat in the sunshine. Just about. I had the ABC salad, Avocado, Bacon and Chicken with Caesar sauce. Very nice. Was it worth £9.50? No. It was a £7.50 dish at best. Bit pricey is all I'm saying.

Fantastic experience: Garden centre plant side as beautiful as ever. Felt food was over priced a bit and eggs poached and fried disappointing the rest of food and drinks perfect would prefer if plates are left on table until everyone in your group has finished eating after spending 70 pound on the meal.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely delighted with the service I have received from Paresh and Ansell Garden Centre today. He went out of his way to assist me with my telephone order and was so helpful and friendly. I will certainly use this fabulous garden centre in the future. Addendum - delivery of stunning roses made today by equally friendly/helpful staff. Fabulous plants at a great price. Thank you Ansells.
