Positive experience: Took our boy here back in 2022 and wanted to take him back now he is 4. He absolutely loved it all. It was very very busy but that was due to going during summer holidays and on a Saturday. Far too many people in the tunnel. It also only took us 16 mins to get round the whole aquarium. Including gift shop. I do feel it is missing something. Maybe take our boy back in a few years time. But personally not the most exciting place to visit. Also some doors where blocked and it isn't well signed.
Fantastic experience: This aquarium is genuinely lovely, and a great break if you’ve got some classic Scottish weather on your day out. I am a wheelchair user and found the aquarium to be pretty accessible, although you can checkout my review on RollMobility for more info. Its got some rough terrain inside, the way some aquariums like to be cute and create textures like bridges and pebbles in the floor. That being said, none of it was very intense or dramatic and I was able to manage alright. They have spacious elevators throughout. You may encounter a wait for the disabled restroom given the number of families. Lots of stuff is easily viewable and *touchable * from a seated position so like I really genuinely recommend it.

Positive experience: It's a good attraction, my only query is that it only took 45 mins to slowly walk round the sea life bit. You can go round as many times as you want. Once was enough for us as we felt we took our time and saw everything.

Fantastic experience: Great little aquarium, nicely laid out. Can be a bit of a squeeze if it's busy. Definitely wheelchair accessible. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Book online and have the barcode ready for really easy access. Had a great time!!!!

Positive experience: Plenty parking near by, this places is better value for money than deep sea world also has been looked after more...Great fun nice cafe up top with amazing view up the loch.

Negative experience: Upon first impressions of the Sealife Centre itself, it looks totally out of place. Far too big for such a small exhibit and just blocks the view of Loch Lomond. Typical local authority planning. This Sealife Centre is definitely aimed at very small children. If you are an adult without children, don't bother at all. There is almost nothing educational for adults. There are a few small tanks, a few larger tanks and a single otter that they fed at set times. Should this animal even be kept without a mate in captivity? There is absolutely nothing displayed to say that this Sealife centre supports conservation work except for a turtle from the Maldives that was flown over as it had lost a flipper. Just seemed such a bizarre attempt at conservation as the turtle now spends it's time trying to breathe while swimming in a circle around a tank with small children staring at it. How much did this cost the Sealife centre to take a turtle from it's natural environment all the way to Loch Lomond to live the rest of it's stressed life looking at the walls of it's tank and unable to dive due to lung injury. There is one exhibit that's points out the problem of plastics in the sea but at the same time filling the souvenir shop with plastics and soft toys. My wife and I don't agree with zoos or Sealife centres unless they have a point to their existence, such as conservation work or defined education. This establishment is neither and is based solely on parting you with your hard earned money. Don't bother supporting Sealife centres such as this, try to teach your children the importance of treating animals with the respect they deserve. We didn't venture into the cafe as this isn't a review about what coffee you can or can't get or the cost a a sandwich. Overall the Sealife centre is not worth one star but it's the lowest I can review.

Positive experience: Sealife Centre Loch Lomond is a great place, we visited last weekend as needed something inside due to the awaful weather. A lovely range of fish and other sea life in very well presented tanks. At ÂŁ21 per adult, it is unfortunately rather on the expensive side. It would be good if they could broaden the use of the cinema, perhaps alternating between a kids thing and an adult thing, I for one would have liked a film about Loch Lomond and it's loch-life. Cafe staff were helpful with offering a gluten free alternative (tacos) for with the soup, though would be nice to have gluten free bread or rolls available.

Fantastic experience: Really nice, not overly big but staff are friendly, food was good, serve costa coffee which is a bonus, have an area where can touch sea creatures. Also have an ocnonauts cinema so ideal for young kids

Negative experience: Old style aquarium. Very small tanks for too much fishes. Like the poor klown fishes with no living anemones in the tank. A lot of tanks with plastic plants or anemones. A beautiful otter turning crazy, like a lion in cage... Turning turning turning. For me definitively to small places for fishes who are living in open ocean normaly. But lovely and beautiful sea creatures. The microphone was too loudly for the turtle and the rays at feeding time. And 20ÂŁ for that...

Fantastic experience: This was a day out with my grandchildren and I was looking forward to spending time with them, when I got to the front of the queue to pay , I was told they don't take cash ( cash is the only thing I use ) the manager was really good about it a let me pay with cash. We all had a great time and lunch in the restaurant, kids loved it worth a trip on a wet day.

Fantastic experience: Another fantastic day here. The lady with the brown bobbed hair, welcomed us to the center and gave us times the otter got fed Our favourite has to be April the turtle with a close second cub the otter. We then went to the cafe upstairs to the brillant staff. So cheerful and friendly as they usually are. This was today Tuesday. It makes our families day with both in the cafe so funny Wd team cafe xxx

Fantastic experience: Been here twice now on two different trips and it never disappoints. All of the animals appear to be very happy and healthy. Staff are warm and friendly and go the extra mile to share their knowledge regarding their sea life which is really lovely. The building itself is gorgeous and the viewpoint from the top is a really cool little extra you get at this location. Would definitely come again ! Myself and my two friends all had an excellent time!

Negative experience: We visited SEA LIFE Loch Lomond today expecting to enjoy it until closing time at 5pm, but were very disappointed by the staff's attitude. We arrived at 4pm and were immediately told that the upper floors were closed, even though we still had an hour left. First, they said everything shuts after 4pm, but later told another visitor that the upper floors close at 4:30pm — which was confusing and felt like they just didn’t want us to stay. It really felt like we were being pushed out before closing time. The experience was made worse by the lady at the gift shop, who was quite grumpy when we picked up a soft toy and insisted we put it back a certain way — something she could have done herself later. A visit that should have been fun ended up feeling rushed and unwelcoming. Definitely not the experience we were hoping for.

Fantastic experience: Not too bad. Rather small but have loads of interesting creatures. My favourite was the small area where you had the chance to feel sea creatures. Very child friendly they also have a one armed turtle that was rescued. I just wish it was bigger but its absolutely lovely

Positive experience: Had tickets booked and were able to get in a bit earlier than planned. We loved all of the exhibits and even saw a feeding for the local loch life with a presentation from Theresa. We did try the cafe however they had no gluten free options available, so my sister wasn’t able to have anything while there. The experience as a whole was very fun, and the staff were very knowledgeable!

Fantastic experience: Had a wee father son day out here with the laddie. It was a good day, and the Sea Centre kept him amused for a good wee while. Enjoy the wee quiz they gave us, made learning fun, and was a good way to get my son reading the information points rather than just looking at the marine life on display. We went up to the viewpoint on level 4, and this is accessible as are all floors by lift. The viewpoint would be breathtaking on a beautiful day. Unfortunately, there was a lot of overcast when we were there. Cafe also has nice views, but the menu, although relatively cheap, is limited food wise. Does, however, have the benefit of Costa in it, so coffee was good. All in all, good wee day out admission is expensive in my opinion at ÂŁ40 for 1 adult 1 kid but nicely laid out and gift shop isn't expensive.

Fantastic experience: We visited on a school holiday Friday, with our 2 granddaughters, one of whom had broken her wrist so she couldn't be involved in active day out things, so we thought the Sea Life Centre would be perfect. It was - we had a really lovely day, 3 hours passed very quickly, and we all loved it. Special mention for the helpful, friendly and knowledgeable staff, especially Kirsty, Liv and Keira (I think I got the names right?) They answered all the girls' questions at the touching rock pool section, and we came back for a second time round. All in all a brilliant day, thank you so much!

Fantastic experience: I visited as part of an overnight group and it was a fantastic experience. Sleeping next to the sharks was so cool! Kirsty and Kieran were attentive and knowledgeable hosts. I loved learning about the animals, and each of them added a personal touch to the tour. I loved learning about each of the animals' names and personalities - like how Flotsam and Jetsam were lying on the tank floor because it was mating season and they were tired, or Bert the Queensland grouper who was a bit of show off, or Tramp the bamboo shark who eats squid like that scene from Lady and the Tramp (and thus, the name Tramp). Loved learning little tidbits like that! And Kirsty and Kieran were incredibly patient when pestered with questions. The aquarium is easily accessible with public transit from Glasgow. It is a great location, and the view of the loch was fantastic. Kieran even gave us a heads up that the Northern Lights were forecast. I learnt so much during the stay - like how the rays can sense our heartbeats and that is why they come up to the glass, or how the Californian horn sharks do little backflips to digest their food, or how clownfish can be bullies to new fish. Coffee was great. Food not so much, but that was the only negative. However, there is a microwave to bring your own food if you are staying the night, so a minor complaint. The Zebra Shark is called Sabrina Carpet Shark. Amazing. For that I can only give the experience a 10/10.

Positive experience: A nice experience with the kids , they have sharks, sea horse and sting rays along with a big turtle . Plenty of free parking space . There are shops along side with plenty of food and clothing options .

Positive experience: It is a small attraction, however all the tanks were well maintained and the fish appeared well kept. Would have liked to see a better native exhibit including some pike. The main fish Lomond is actually famous for.

Fantastic experience: Great day for kids of all ages. Little ones loved running round and seeing everything at just the right height for them. sea life staff are really friendly and helpful and they love answering questions- even about particular animals! Octonauts cinema is great too coz it gives them a nice wee space to chill out for a bit. super viewing platform on 4th floor to have picnics and look at the scenery. Fab wee day out EDIT -Sorry, I just realised I only have 1 star! It absolutely deserves all the stars! Updated now.

Positive experience: After being to other sea life centres I was looking forward to my visit. Had a quick look on line for prices, it looked like ÂŁ15 each. We went in at 3pm to be told 2 adults was ÂŁ41.50p. It took us 50 minutes to go round. One floor has a kids cinema and the top floor a view of the loch. Value for money was atrocious. There wasn't anything like sharks, octopus, etc, as in previous places. Definitely will not return and wouldn't recommend. A total rip off...

Fantastic experience: I've been to a lot of Sea Lifes, and aquariums and the Loch Lomond one is arguably the best there's. The one has quality over quantity, and doesn't pad it out with standard fish like many other aquariums do. Staff are really, really good too.

Negative experience: Very overpriced for what is on offer nearly ÂŁ20 for a 3 year old. Layout is a bit confusing and we left without seeing the otters or the sharks. Cinema was only showing episodes of Octonauts could've done that in Iplayer. There also seemed to be issues with audio when we visited. Catering options were on par with a Petrol Station. Staff were all fantastic though, but overall it's not a place we'd visit again or recommend.

Fantastic experience: I visited the SEA LIFE Loch Lomond Aquarium, and honestly, it exceeded all expectations. From the moment I walked in, I was completely absorbed by the vibrant, fascinating underwater world. One of the highlights for me was the Ocean Tunnel, standing underneath while sharks, rays, and massive fish glide right above you is something you have to experience in person. It felt like stepping into a different world. The otters were another favorite. super playful and entertaining to watch. They really steal the show. I also appreciated how well-maintained the tanks were, with plenty of information boards that were easy to understand and perfect for kids or anyone wanting to learn something new. What surprised me most was the variety. You might not expect such a diverse collection of sea creatures tucked away in Loch Lomond, but from colorful tropical fish to giant groupers and even seahorses, it’s all there. Perfect day out whether you're a marine life enthusiast or just looking for a fun and educational family activity. Highly recommend truly one of the best sea life experiences I’ve had in the UK

Positive experience: For what you pay to enter, it isn't worth it. Only the ground floor is exhibits, which is not very big. The cinema only plays Octonauts(cbeebies show). Didn't use the cafe. The gift shop is well stocked, but pricey - it cost ÂŁ34.00 just for 3 items.

Negative experience: Don’t waste your money it’s literally one floor with sea life then one cinema room playing a cartoon over and over again . One floor with a cafe then one with a view . It’s nice to see the sea life it’s a shame that’s all there was . When seeing turtles being fed we couldn’t hear the girl tell us the facts and didn’t really feel we got our money worth

Negative experience: Turned up 40 pounds for two adults. Absolutely woeful experience. Fish tanks not particularly clean. Poor selection of fish, tried to stretch out the visit we managed 20 minutes so not imho good value for money. Wish I'd just gone to a tropical fish store!. The whole loch Lomond shore areas was looking seriously drĂ pand run down. Is this the best they can do?

Fantastic experience: I visited Sea Life Loch Lomond Aquarium on a Sunday with my son and my father. It was a good day trip. My son quite enjoyed the aquarium and the toy shop. It was a good experience to dip his hands in the rock pool. Food choices are fewer, but we managed to get soup and bread for lunch. There were many food stalls outside the aquarium, which was quite busy being a Sunday. Overall, a good experience for children and parents.

Positive experience: Inside is great although actually quite small you get round it in 30mins. Main issue is the price, ÂŁ51 for 2 adults and a toddler (+2) is quite extreme for less than an hour's enjoyment.

Positive experience: The displays were nice with a good variety of fish. It took less than 60 minutes to walk around and see everything. We did see the feeding of the Rays which the kids enjoyed. The cafe was really disappointing. With only ready made hotdogs and chicken burgers. I was expecting a much better menu for a tourist attraction around Loch Lomond. Better to take your own lunch.

Positive experience: Sea Life Centre Loch Lomond is an amazing place for a family day out! The kids were absolutely fascinated from the moment we walked in, exploring the incredible underwater world. Positive experience: Amazing sea life centre, with great tanks and I commend the attempt for naturalness within. The only downside was the one lift available, causing havoc getting up to the cafe and back down, with various disgruntled people overheard moaning about the same issue!

Positive experience: You walk round all the tanks in about 40 minutes but you can go around again as many times as you want. There are some nice displays and some good information on the species. Our kid enjoyed watching some Octonauts in their free cinema. Observation deck has a good view of Loch Lomond. Felt it was a bit pricey for the amount of time you're in, so I'd only go again if we were able to get 2-for-1 tickets.

Negative experience: We recently visited SEA LIFE Loch Lomond with two children (6 and 8), us two parents, and a senior. Tickets cost £94 at the door with online purchase, with no discounts for families or seniors—quite steep for what we got. The attraction itself felt dated and small. Our visit, including a bathroom break and ten minutes in the gift shop, lasted just 55 minutes and we really tried to take our time in there. While the animals appeared healthy, it was disappointing that every plant (and white plastic ropes in most fish tanks) in the tanks was plastic, especially considering their emphasis on plastic pollution awareness. It would have been far more engaging (and less contradictory) to see marine life in a more natural environment with real seaweed instead of artificial strands. Another frustration was the lack of physical information signs. Most details were only accessible via QR codes, which isn’t practical when visiting with young children. We don’t want to be glued to our phones while trying to enjoy the experience as a family. The main highlight was April, the sea turtle rescued in the Maldives. A touching story and a wonderful creature. Our extra star goes to April. Otters were hiding, so the kids were quite disappointed. Overall, we all agreed that a fair price for a family of five would be around £45, not nearly £100. Unfortunately, it felt like poor value for money. Wouldn’t recommend unless the price is significantly reduced or they invest in improvements.

Positive experience: We spent about an hour and a half there. The lady at the ticket desk was very friendly and suggested that I book online to get much cheaper tickets. Although the aquarium itself was not large, it had enough to offer. The main reason we visited was to show my little one the sea life, so it served its purpose. However, given the size of the building, the management could provide more activities for kids—for example, displaying fossils, showcasing images of marine life from around the world, and so on. One last thing—the lady at the rock pool was a bit rude! Since kids love playing with water there, she should have been more patient and friendly

Fantastic experience: Great family day out, nice variety of things to see and do. The staff were absolutely top notch, I took my son who is 3 and they were brilliant with him and very enthusiastic, it really makes all the difference. Negative experience: We had visited back in 2020, and were looking forward to going again. Sadly, it seems like the amount of effort / money put into running the place has decreased since then, as a lot of the displays are gone. It's always been pretty small, but now is ridiculously so, and notably run down in places. The staff were a split - some lovely (and apologetic for the changes), but some were really grumpy and dismissive. Also worth noting that the 'rangers' activity book they are selling to kids cannot actually be completed due to the changes (for example, you cannot tick off seeing an octopus or jellyfish, as there are none, and some of the info panels to answer questions are simply not there). If your kids are completionists, avoid! Shame really, as Deep Sea World in North Queensferry is a bit more of a drive, but I guess we will be going there instead next time!

Fantastic experience: I went for my 23rd birthday and had a fantastic time. Sure it isn't the biggest aquarium but I was more than happy to go around the whole thing more than once and sit watching the shark tank for a long while. My experience at the touch pool was fantastic too as the lady who was supervising was so kind and made myself and my boyfriend feel super welcome (I even got a birthday sticker and a sticker for touching the little creatures). The cafe could do with a little update but the tea I had was lovely. We got to see two of the tanks being fed which was awesome. I loved the Moray Eels the most I think, well, I loved everything. All the staff were fantastic too. (I'd add photos but I don't know how)

Fantastic experience: Went during the day on a week day and it was great because no queues or huge crowds! All the exhibits were great to see, and the highlight of it was their resident rescued turtle. The sealife tunnel was amazing and the staff were all friendly and knowledgeable. Fantastic experience: It was a lovely day as I was taking my person who I supported out for the day and we had a fab time in the sea life centre. He loved seeing all the different sea animals and then we went into the cinema which we didn't think you could fit a cinema in the building so that was amazing. Then we went to the top of the building and looked over the Loch and took some pictures. The lady at the gift shop desk was amazing help with everything.

Positive experience: Entered and greeted by a wonderful lady at the front desk who was so friendly and helpful, fantastic member of staff who was engaging and enthusiastic. The aquariums were beautiful and well maintained but for the price I found it to be quite small and we were only there for about 30 minutes. If the price was cheaper I would have said it was 5 stars but for the price i found it fell a bit short

Fantastic experience: Went here today with my family and I must say what a great experience, it reminds me of deep sea world but on a far better level, the amount of different things to see for the price was worth it. I would 100% recommend this one over deep sea world any day. I only took a couple of photos. You buy the tickets in advance by scanning the QR code at the door or on the website, you can pick your entry time and there is a cafe on the 3rd floor

Positive experience: A very nice aquarium with a cafe, cinema, shark feeding and all the marine life of course. There was one thing which was pretty annoying: the 'I touched a creature!' tanks. What exactly do you want to teach kids here? To touch potentially dangerous seastars and corals when you see them? In my opinion this is a no-go nowadays.

Positive experience: Not one of the largest sea life centres but good nevertheless, plenty to see. We used as one of our rest break on our trip homeward bound from above glencoe back down England to break up the journey. Nice spot, plenty parking and choices for a coffee close by to.

Positive experience: The aquarium was amazing! Truly a good day out with the kids. We brought the mission pack and that was perfect for keeping kids 5+ occupied and actually reading the facts because there is a prize at the end. The cinema showing was a big hit and the views of the loch were incredible from the top. The only let down was the “selection” of food at the cafe, and the fact the Costa coffee machine wasn’t working. The staff were amazingly friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely worth a visit.

Negative experience: Over priced and under delivers. Tourist trap. Must pre book a time slot. Only the ground floor is the aquarium which is very small and you can get round it in about 20 minutes looking at every tank. It is mostly small tanks to try and fill the spaces with a couple of bigger tanks spread out. Compared to other Sea Life centers the selection of different fish is very poor. Very expensive at ÂŁ18 for an adult ticket when there isn't much to see inside. As soon as we entered the building they were wanting to take our picture to charge us at the end for the printed copy. Unless you can find a good discount deal I would not recommend it.

Fantastic experience: Love Loch Lomond. Only 30 minutes from Glasgow. It was very busy this weekend. We didn't realise there was a food festival. Very much enjoyed all the stalls. The playpark has downsized big time, but the kids still had fun. A paddle in the water when it's roasting also helps! We did see other kids in their swimming costumes and snorkels having fun in the water, maybe an idea to bring some water toys. Our trip was a last-minute idea. There are plenty of walks that are shaded when the sun gets too strong. Lots of people on their bikes, too. Can hire out bikes and canoes, probably only in the summer months, I'm guessing. All in all, a cracking day out.

Fantastic experience: A wonderful way to enjoy your holiday in grand style. The secret of some islands, mountains, and ancient buildings explained while cruising in the boat. There's a lovely bar located within the big cruising boat where you can quench your thirst and listen to commentary about the gems of loch lomond. The history of a statue of a dancing boy on the river is also told with the statue in sight.

Positive experience: I really enjoyed a wee walk through. It was great to see some of the marine life they had on show. My only qualm was it was rather short. You could walk through the entire thing in about 5 minutes, foot traffic permitting. However, if you take your time, read the blurbs, and check out all of the exhibits, you could easily lose yourself for a couple of hours. There's a cafe and a cinema on the floors above, which i didn't partake in because i was in on my own, but there's also a great view from the top, offering a good view of the loch, the surrounding area, and Ben Lomond in the distance. I was going to go for the shark feeding as well, but you have to go on specific days, rather than at your own leisure, so be aware of that. Also, they feed the otters at 3pm, so if you like otters and want to see them chowing down on their dinner, that's the time to visit. Would certainly go back again with friends

Fantastic experience: The aquarium was truly stunning! Everything was exceptionally well-maintained. Upon entering, a friendly staff member invited us to sit in front of a camera and mimic three poses, letting us know we could print the photos at the exit. It was a fun memory, though I wished they offered better background options or even no background at all. The creatures were vibrant, with detailed names and explanations provided on the walls. The creative tunnel and the aquarium's overall design were fantastic. Highly recommend for both kids and adults!

Positive experience: Large specie of fish and underwater animals. Tickets were a bit steep for kids. ÂŁ15 for child, ÂŁ18 for adults. Lots of people there and the cinema upstairs was a good distraction too. I loved the floor of the flow plan and also how informative the cards were. Casual clothes are fine. Souvenirs are a bit high, but coffee and snacks upstairs were priced fairly. I recommend buying tickets ahead. Take lots of photos too.

Fantastic experience: We’ve been here before and this time we took my mum along. Unfortunately I forgot it was the Easter holidays and the place was full of families with their kids. That being said you could still move around easily and it wasn’t that stressful. The observation deck is a must see as it looks out over Loch Lomond. There are plenty of animals and an interesting rock pool where you can touch some of the animals. You must read the story about their turtle as well, April her name is. A fantastic place and well worth the visit.

Fantastic experience: Took a trip to Lomond shores for the day, to get out of the city and enjoy some nature. The weather wasn’t the best so we ended up spending the morning at the Sea Life Centre and had a really fab day. It was great to see all the different aquatic life, and we got there just in time to see the otters being fed. Not for the squeamish! We grabbed coffee at the Costa in the canteen and used the viewing platform to see the beauty of Loch Lomond - but avoiding all the rain and wind. Scotland gotta love it.
