Fantastic experience: These guys are the most professional aquarium service company we’ve worked with on Long Island. We had a custom aquarium installed by another company and it just never looked great. We tried another aquarium company with good reviews, but we still had a lot of the same issues. We called Fluid Dynamics as a last attempt to get things right and they’ve been great! Everything in our reef aquarium is thriving and growing finally! Highly recommend these guys for any of your aquarium needs. They never pushed anything on us, their billing is fair, and they’ve been patient with all of our questions and concerns. We were almost ready to get rid of our tank, but this company saved us a huge headache!

Fantastic experience: Have been coming in bi weekly if not weekly as of lately but first time in on a weekend. Happy to say the staff knows their stuff unlike most LFS out here. Very knowledgeable and helpful and their fish are all very healthy. Will be back in to check out more plecos soon!

Fantastic experience: It was an absolute pleasure talking to the friendly and knowledgeable staff at Fluid Dynamics. I am a beginner and walked in with a rough idea of what I wanted and a million stupid questions. Jared was patient and accommodating. I went in for sand and some plants and ended up with what felt like a free consultation from an expert in the field. The plants were all submerged and healthy (unlike many other stores) and all the tanks were clean and organized. I will be a regular customer for sure.

Brian couldn’t have been more helpful. He even took a working filter apart to demonstrate it’s features to me. They also offer custom tanks like on the tv shows. I highly recommend checking them out for aquarium needs.

Fantastic experience: I got back into fish keeping after a 20+ year hiatus and going to the big box pet stores was quite a disappointment with dirty tanks and dead fish in most of them. Someone told me to try Fluid Dynamics, well this place has clean tanks and the fish are top notch. Jared the owner and his employees Brian and Cory are very knowledgeable and super friendly. If you’re looking for quality fish and learning about fish keeping this is the place to go.

Fantastic experience: Awesome fish store! Probably the best on the island. Their selection is great, the shop is beautiful and all the tanks are spotless. They have some of the highest quality fish I’ve seen and some of the most difficult to find sourced from Europe, where breeding practices are much more sustainable and healthy. Service is the best I’ve seen at any store (and I’ve been to a lot). These people are truly passionate about fish and know what they’re talking about, you can strike up a conversation with them and they’ll talk with you for ages about interesting information. You can tell that, unlike most other stores, these people are in it for the fun of the hobby rather than making a buck selling sub-par livestock.

The store has a great layout with a wonderful, well-stocked, healthy selection of aquatic plants and animals. Fantastic experience: I heard of this place before it was a local aquarium (it was a famous adult shop) and I knew the owner because he had come to my house to help me with a very complex 10 fish tank/ puffer problem. I totally trusted him he is really an expert. Imagine my surprise when our favorite adult store turned into an aquarium and this nice guy seems to be the owner. It’s important to patronize local businesses so they thrive. Especially local business like this with an expert who is kind and helpful and he even did a house call for me!! I entered the store and I was blown away. It was totally different first of all… no XXX material just fish! But it’s really well presented. You can see all of the details . There’s black backgrounds that highlight the fish. What I liked was he had the most amazing collection of “small schooling fish“ that I have ever seen in my life. Most all tanks are dedicated to small fish and manageable fish there were no “Monster fish or red tail catfish“ but each of these tanks had the most incredible colors and some of the small Tetris were Tetras that are very rare and I’ve only seen coming into the hobby recently . I trusted them and I bought 16 yellow zebra Danios (not actually albino) and I put them in my 800 gallon tank filled with four and MBU PUFFERS. I trusted the store would have no disease or ick in the water maybe that was foolish but it worked out. The Danios are perfect and there was no disease or problems transferred. I totally trust this store and their tanks and their fish as well as their advice. Welcome to the neighborhood. Bryan Salamone of @teamsalamone

Fantastic experience: Talk about knowledgeable! These gentlemen know credible information about fish and about plants. They took time to speak with my husband about our aquarium as to what should and shouldn't be in there. They even informed us about the plants we currently have in our tank! I walked in and immediately said, 'wow'! Extremely clean, spacious, and doesn't have a fish smell at all. My husband literally spent over two hours there because he was given awesome information to contemplate on. Their fish are extremely healthy and are the best looking fish I've seen on Long Island thus far, with awesome prices! If you want a place that has a wide variety of quality fish, (emphasis on quality), without having to break your pockets, pleasing to the eye, (which is a great bonus), and will engage with you regarding what you actually need, then Fluid Dynamics is definitely where you need to visit!

Pleasant, knowledgeable staff who don’t fool around, no need stock a wide selection of a single item, offer the top of the line at a fair price and be done with it.
