Fantastic experience: The owner is absolutely lovely. I was having issues with my small betta tank bought from petco. He kindly gave me these special rocks and something for my filter to help get my nitrite and nitrate under control. He wouldn’t even charge me. Once my tank is back to normal I will absolutely be going back to add a snail or two to our aquarium. Thank you guys so much!

Fantastic experience: Andrew was very helpful and knowledgeable. He has a good assortment of saltwater fish and freshwater fish! My neighbor was glad that he had freshwater fish. I started out with a simple saltwater tank. I had questions about which coral to start with. He recommended soft corals and I bought the one I liked. I love the green! I highly recommend his store. Fantastic experience: I checked out this saltwater aquarium store, and let me tell you, it’s a straight-up paradise for us hobbyists. First off, their coral selection? Chef’s kiss. They had everything from zoas to torches, and the colors were poppin’ like crazy. I walked out with a sick blasto that’s already opening up nice in my tank. Their fish game is strong too—healthy, active, and no signs of ich or stress. I copped a firefish and a cleaner shrimp, and both are doing great. The Onwer? Super knowledgeable. They didn’t just sell me stuff; they actually gave me legit advice on my water parameters and lighting setup. Shoutout to the dude who explained how to dial in my alkalinity without crashing my tank. MVP right there.

Negative experience: I went here yesterday and was slightly disappointed with the store. Pros: Has a Good selection of coral Location is close to where I live They do have a better warranty that the Aquarium Shop Westbury. I asked the sales associate if they had one and he said that they offered refunds if the fish has died in 1 day with if you have a picture and water sample provided. Sapphire Damselfish received was priced fairly well at 10 dollars. I would go to again to see if they had a fish I am interested in and the prices were pretty good. Cons: Store is smaller compared to the Aquarium Shop Westbury, and was not as nice. The Aquarium Shop has a greater selection of supplies and fish both fresh and salt water. The Aquarium Shop Westbury is cleaner as well. The prices are not listed on the tanks so I did not know the price of the fish I bought until I got to the register. The store is not that attentive to its fish. I went today and saw a dying blue tang in the corner. A good aquarium owner inspects the fish daily and would have noticed. Updated: After a week the damselfish I bought died in 1 week in the Quarantine Tank that is treated with Copper. One day it was fine and the next it was not. This would not be the first place I would go but it is better than Petco in terms of having saltwater fish.

Negative experience: Small place owner on the phone no help he is not displaying prices some of the fish looks sick he said they on medication rude behavior

Andrew always gives great advice and is always very honest with his opinions as far as compatibility, mixture of fish and corals, and is very helpful with remedies and strategies when issue's arise in my tank. He's not going to just sell you a fish, he makes sure the fish you take home will not only survive, it won't harm anything already living in your tank.

Fantastic experience: Newbie tank owner. I wanted to start a clownfish tank, Advanced Marine Aquatics walked me through it all. Checked my water, got a beautiful flurry clownfish, gave me great advice, and their prices are great! Recently got 2 shrimp and 2 hermits crabs that the popular websites priced at around $85 total. I paid $60 at Advanced Marine Aquatics. I dont usually post reviews but the service/prices here are too good not to give them a shout! SUPPORT SMALL BUSINESS!

Fantastic experience: I used four different aquarium stores before I discovered Advanced. The other stores were really only interested in selling fish and not interested in advising a beginner as to how to correctly set up a reef aquarium. Two years ago I was introduced to Advanced Aquarium and have been having an entirely different experience than the other shops. Andrew, the owner and Nick are totally professional and willing to advise me how to set up and maintain my aquarium. Since using them I wouldn’t consider going to another shop and recommend them to any neophyte or advanced aquarium hobbiest.

Fish and coral selection are always healthy, prices are great, and the staff are always very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Been here many times since they opened a few years ago, and it has always been like this. Definitely worth the trip.

Fantastic experience: Great store and location with good parking in the rear of the store. Healthy and seasoned tanks with an excellent variety of corals, salt water fish and invertebrates. The guys that are there are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Andrew and Nick care about the hobby and are always willing to negotiate - I recommend this place! Fantastic experience: Great saltwater LFS with tons of coral and fish selection, Ownership is there daily mostly a 2 man crew that's dedicated to the hobby!! I went to about 7 different stores near me and this is by far the best both in selection and interaction if you have questions they will help and guide you even if it's not to make the sale like I said true hobbyists. Fantastic experience: Best saltwater fish store I have been to. My fiance and I visited many fish store when deciding our local fish store. Everywhere we went had one flaw. The front tanks were gorgeous and housed very beautiful fish, the back tanks, lights were off and fish were on the verge of death. I'm new to saltwater, I have a lot of freshwater experience and I watch tanks carefully before purchasing fish. The guys over at Advanced Marine Aquatics are the best! They're professional, knowledgeable, kind, and welcoming. Every time I go there I ask plenty of questions. Every question I ask gets answered. Sometimes I even get wrapped up in conversations they have and try to learn from them. I tried to impulse buy a few things. They stopped me and told me it wouldn't work with how new my tank was and I should give it more time. It rare to find a store that tells the truth and are willing to lose a quick sale to optimize the customers experience. I will be doing all my purchases at this store. Thanks guys! Oh I forgot to mention, the pricing is ridiculously good. They are rational hobbiest trying to share the joy of reef keeping and aren't trying to bust anyone's bank account.
