Fantastic experience: Awesome selection. Helpful staff. I've been here twice and both times I was happy to find that they had exactly the fish and plants I was looking for. They were knowledgeable and enthusiastic to help, which hasn't always been the case at other aquarium stores. My tank looks a little more complete

Negative experience: Decided to make the drive here after hearing good things but I was sadly disappointed and left empty handed, their prices are much higher than any other place I've been too and the tanks looked dirty with quite a bit of algae. Staff seemed nice but weren't giving very good advice from what I overheard them talking about with another customer. I will stick with House of Tropicals, they have a much better selection of fish and I always see them cleaning the tanks while I'm there.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been to this store several times since moving to MD. They have a great selection of fish. Many rare species that you won’t find anywhere else. All the fish I saw looked healthy and active. The guy who helped me(maybe the owner) was very friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and attractive(not that that matters but it also doesn’t hurt). I highly recommend this store.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I were finally able to make it into the store as our schedules are kinda hectic. We called before we went as we had a fish we were donating. Adam was who helped us on the phone and once we got there. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and gave information for just about every question we had for him. We will definitely be going back!

Fantastic experience: The most honest guy in Annapolis! Don't take my word for it, go there and see for yourself! He helped me with the up keeping of my fishtank by giving me very useful information. He sold us what we needed. There's no doubt they are the best around.

Fantastic experience: Rarely do we find a store with personnel who actually know what they are selling and impart that information to us flawlessly. Adam and Dale met us at the door when we walked in. Husband and I are BRAND NEW to the idea of an aquarium so, if there are no stupid questions, we were inquisitive idiots. We started with equipment, pricing and then went to see the incredible fish tanks this store holds. Adam accompanied us and answered all my questions which usually started with 'WOW! What's THAT' He handled me beautifully. There are rows and rows and rows of very beautiful aquariums holding really healthy looking fish. It was amazing to see the variety. Of course, I was naturally drawn to the most expensive fish in the place - a 1K baby! Yeah, no. In the end, we've got some new friends to lean upon once we get our aquarium set up and running. I will ALWAYS get all my supplies and fish from Londontown Aquarium - I just hope Adam and Dale are always there.

Fantastic experience: so for about 3 months Ive been calling the store to ask a million questions. (They know who I am im sure) They have always been very helpful and patient, I just made the hour trip last weekend and i am so impressed with the store and the guy working there ( forgot his name ) was more than helpful. I bought some skunk corys and they are doing great. I ll be back for sure.

Fantastic experience: was there the first time about a week ago. reminds me of the fish stores 50 years ago. They have a large selection of Cichlids.

Positive experience: Very clean and organized, very small store and definitely feels like a more in and out place than the other fish stores where I feel like I have more comfortable time browsing and taking my time. The fish I bought seemed healthy and only one death in 24 hours, and none since.

The customer service was perfect, the experience was amazing the selection was over the top and the ranks are extremely healthy and clean. The prices are extremely reasonable! I wanted the best for my new tank I built. I can’t wait for them to color up! Maybe one day they will offer shipping by mail!

The shop was immaculate with well kept tanks. The 2 hour drive was well worth it. I picked up some cute little chili rasbora & Kubotai rasbora. My new go to pet store.

Fantastic experience: Hidden gem, this place has the most unique selection of freshwater fish I've seen having kept fish for 20 years. It's not a huge store.but it more then makes up for it with an amazing selection. I never worry about adding fish from here to a tank because their livestock is always healthy. If you want healthy freshwater fish or are looking for something unique this is the place to go!

Fantastic experience: First time visiting this place and first impression... just wow very impressed by the place tanks are clean, place is clean, tons of fish from small to big looking in good shape, it was so satisfying to walk and see so many fish i dont usually see in other stores, friendly staff and the best thing about it.. fair prices. I will be making the hour drive everytime worth it please dont change it was a great experience !

I wasn’t expecting much, but I was blown away by the selection! Found some rare species I’ve been looking years for and prices seemed fair. Adam’s also pretty knowledgeable and helpful as well. Haven’t had an aquarium in years and this place managed to get me back into it!

Fantastic experience: What a nice local fish store. Stores like these are getting rarer and rarer. Adam and Dave are excellent communicators and responded very promptly to my messages. They helped me rehome some of my larger cichlids. They have great stock and variety. I actually found some polar parrots that I’ve been looking for for months now. The tanks are clean and not over crowded. Really cool cichlid and pleco collections. I will definitely come back again! The almost 1 hour drive was certainly not a waste of time for me. Support local businesses like this place. Let’s keep the hobby going.

Fantastic experience: I was in Riva for a gathering the Sunday of Labor Day weekend and on a whim checked before heading from the Baltimore area to see if there was a LFS nearby the gathering and sure enough, there was. I lovingly ditched my fam at the gathering, and hurried off to Londontowne Tropicals, getting there 20 minutes before closing. Working retail myself, I know how frustrating it can be to have folks come in just before closing, but the owner was SO GRACIOUS and answered every single question I fired at him in what was probably rapid succession. I purchased some super plants and vowed to come back when I was able to spend more time there, and came back about 3 weeks later during the middle of the day on a Tuesday to take my time. Only saw healthy fish in every tank. Love love love your betta tower! They are in small individual tanks, with a filtration system serving each tiny tank. Happiest display of bettas I've ever seen! The black emperor tetras (Nematobrycon palmeri) are loving life in my planted community tank, and the Tanichthys micagemmae are simply stunning in my cold-water 5 gallon long nano. I didn't catch his name, but the gent that helped me on my second visit was just as helpful and congenial as the owner was the first day I came in. I am more than happy to now make the trek there from Catonsville when I am in want of new fish. Oh, and if you havent been, they have loads of gorgeous plants, mostly epiphytes and rosettes, but just some really healthy and huge specimens! I am not into most cichlids or "big guys" as I like to keep fully planted aquariums, but I enjoyed checking out their impressive amount of cichlids and fishies with big choppers. Not a single evidence of fungal/bacterial/parasitic infection that I could see, and not a single dead fish in any aquarium. To some it up: clean, professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and fab fish! My pictures don't capture the true beauty of these fish, but I promise they are gorgeous and healthy.

Fantastic experience: These guys have the best stock of hard to find Freshwater Fish. Rare Plecos, and Catfish are always available here. And their staff is super friendly. If you're looking for rare Tropicals in the Annapolis, Baltimore, DC area, this place is a must see.

Positive experience: The staff is friendly and welcoming. The shop is full of clean and healthy tanks. They have varieties you will not find at the chain stores. Read the info tag and make sure you know as much as you can before you pay. Don't be hesitant to ask questions and use Google.They are priced on the upper end of the spectrum but you get what you pay for.

Fantastic experience: I'm very new to the hobby and to find a shop. like this beautiful selection and beautiful happy smiles at the door. when you walk in the door they did not mind talking to me explaining things. I didn't feel rushed I didn't feel like I was being a nuisant so I highly recommend this location.

Fantastic experience: Ive been coming to this place since 2020 and I have never been disappointed. I have 3 LFS near my house, but I continue to drive 1.5hrs just to come here for the quality and customer service. Today Adam helped me with about 20 fish, some shrimp, and like 4 different types of snails. I have 11 tanks and I was all over the place with selection today. He was patient, knowledgeable, and most importantly he packaged all my fish with care. Everything was bagged safely with ample air to prevent my fish from getting hurt on the drive back home. This is such a HUGE difference compared to other LFS that give you a flimsy leaky bag. I also went through every aisle and looked through every tank and saw NO dead fish (everything was clean and thriving!) You can never go wrong with coming here, I personally always call in advance to ask for what I’m looking for before making the drive. Dale (the owner) has always been good to me and does his best to have the best variety available. If they don’t have it, they will order it for you. Thank you so much guys!!

They take the time to really try to help us with any tank issues we might be experiencing, and they give good advice on plants and fish that will work for our tanks. Fantastic experience: Traveled almost 2 hours due to the lack of tropical fish stores in delaware, I wasn't disappointed, all of the tanks were spotless and they have an amazing variety, prices are great too!! Fish are in quarantine now and doing fantastic, probs no need for quarantine due to how clean the tanks were but it's a habit, will definitely be back again!

Fantastic experience: These guys and gals took a lot of time to talk with me about my water quality and what could be causing the issue I was having ( high ammonia). Dale encouraged me to return with a water sample for analysis. I did that, and the gal (I am so sorry I cannot remember her name) tested my water, worked with Dale via phone, and set me up with a cure plan. What was most impressive is that Dale told this gal to expect me - and gave her my name. This personal touch is what many businesses are missing these days. I will be moving my business to them going forward. Not only are they a local business, but they are also nice folks with the customer at the center!

Fantastic experience: Loved this shop. Had every type of fish on my list that I had been looking for on the internet and couldn't find all in one place or cost $100+ just for shipping. This is not your local chain store pet shop. So, don't expect chain store prices but quality matches prices. Very professional packaging with double bags, compressed oxygen, and metal crimp. Wish it was closer so I could regularly shop there. Military discount.
