Positive experience: Mostly fish, but there are some reptiles.

Fantastic experience: Great place for fresh and salt water critters of all types. The staff there has tons of knowledge and doesn't seem to BS people into buying stuff unless you actually need it. They also have a large selection of snakes and other reptiles. Definitely recommend the team at Emerald Bay!

Fantastic experience: This place is amazing!!! We went in 3 times before purchasing our new family member and every time we went in everyone was so helpful and knowledgeable!!! This is the first time we’ve ever owned a snake and by the time we left we all felt very confident and comfortable bringing the little guy home especially with little kiddos! There wasn’t one person that we spoke with that didn’t know a million things and have an answer for every question we had. But I want to give a big shout out to Haylee for her help!!! This is not a "typical" pet store, they truly care for the animals. It's very evident that he was hand raised from the beginning. Thank you for helping us with my first BD.

Negative experience: NOT SANITARY!! Went here hoping to find a better shop for purchasing frozen rats for my Ball Python. The prices are cheaper than PetSmart/PetCo, but the reason for the price drop is obvious once you enter the reptile section. They had multiple Tegu's cramped in a small 4x2 glass enclosure, leopard gecko and bearded dragons didn't even have water in their habitat, the snakes were crammed in tiny plastic tupperware containers with bobby pin sized holes poked in the sides, just truly awful. Upon opening the freezer where the frozen rodents were kept, there were about 20 in each bag. All the bag seals were broken and open. I asked an employee about purchasing one or two, he reached his bare hands in the open bag, pulled out two rats and set them on top of the dusty freezer. Absolutely NO sanitary procedures!!!! Before I could react to anything, he grabbed the frozen rats and said he would hold them at the counter?? He walked off with them in his hands... needless to say, I walked out empty handed. The complete lack of sanitary care in front of a new customer was absolutely horrifying. Not to mention the neglect for these poor reptiles. I can't imagine what they do behind closed doors.

Fantastic experience: Nice stock of freshwater. Staff very friendly! Priced reasonable too. My go to place for my fish needs.

Fantastic experience: Really impressed with the location off of Hwy 109 in Lebanon. The staff is very educated and helpful! They have a great selection and all of the fish we have purchased have been in great health.

Positive experience: Surprisingly good inventory for this out-of-the-way place. Friendly staff. Could improve on the aromas inside, presumably coming from the reptiles. Definitely worth a visit.

Fantastic experience: HIGHLY RECOMMEND Bought small fish for my daughter. First, this has the cleanest fish tanks I ever saw. 2nd, the tanks are not overcrowded at all, and they are beautifully set up. 3rd, the staff is very caring about the fish and customers. I was asked about our aquarium, filter, heater, etc. to make sure the fish would be cared for. Then, he asked questions about what we wanted and patiently took the time to show several options and helped us do a process of elimination to choose. 4th, we were taught about the fish we bought and how to care for them properly. Never once tried to sell us a bigger tank or anything else, instead, advised us on ways to help maximize what we have and improve the quality. Also, advised on how to keep the tank clean, longer. MUCH APPRECIATED! Thank you!

Fantastic experience: Very well kept fish. My goto place for healthy fish.

Negative experience: Nice clean establishment and great customer service. However my mother in-law god three fishe about a week ago and one died and then her other fish she had before hand started to die. We went back and got one to replace the first one that died and the next day it was dead too. Not sure if they were sick or not. But we are not two happy about the 4 fish dying and our other ones that we had before hand also dying.

Fantastic experience: Bones and Mattie rock. I've purchased 2 of my snakes here ,a retic and a boa and they are both awsome healthy snakes. They understand and deliver healthy reptiles and aquatics.. Definitely not a big box store just a local store with people that have a passion for what they do

Fantastic experience: My son decided he wanted a bearded dragon and we have no reptile experience. We came to Emerald Bay armed with a notebook full of questions and they were all answered fully. Every single staff member here was super patient with us while we were learning. Ultimately I think we were in the store 3 times asking questions before we bought and a phone call for questions too! Every time all our questions were answered fully and we never felt rushed. It is also very cool that they breed the beardies and they are handled from day one so really comfy with being picked up. If you are looking for a fish and/or reptile store this is the one!!

Fantastic experience: Wonderful local fish store. They also carry many distant types of reptiles. They've got it here from mild to wild. Fish, snakes, spiders, lizards , turtles, live freshwater plants, and some beautiful corals as well. They have it all. Almost. Saltwater and freashwater with a very wide selection for each. Tanks are clean and very well maintained. Animals appear to be very healthy and taken care of. Stock here is never low. Staff is super knowledgeable on all the stock they have in store and ready to answer all questions. Although this is an exclusive aquatics and reptiles store, they do not offer anything for dogs, cats, or birds. They cater only to freashwater, marine, and reptiles. They also offer a wide variety of supplies, habitats, hardscapes, test kits & live foods.

The staff were so eager and helpful to find solutions and create a plan to help us get our new girl happy and thriving with us! I'm happy to report that she has eaten and is thriving with us now! Fantastic experience: Came to check out a potential new pet with the kids and we got some valuable info. The kids got to engage with some of the reptiles. Employees were patient and very helpful with my young children. The selection of reptiles was nice and it was clean inside and out.

Positive experience: The store itself is clean and well stocked with a good variety. As newcomers to the fish world, we researched tank set up and after a couple weeks felt our tank was ready to have some new occupants. We purchased 3 fish from Emerald Bay at the beginning of January. The employees that assisted us during that initial process were extremely kind and informative and couldn’t brag on them enough as we had lots of questions and they took their time helping us. They gave recommendations on fish that could typically live together well in a 10 gallon tank. We are just getting our feet wet in the aquatics world and wanted to see if we enjoy it and can manage it with a smaller tank and hopefully go up in size if this goes well. After a month we couldn’t ignore the fact that one of the fish had all the signs of being territorial towards the other fish that occupies the same water level. The bullied fish had started hiding consistently with labored breathing. We returned to Emerald Bay with high hopes to inquire about what our options were. The employees that helped us previously were busy so when a new person asked if we needed help we explained the situation. We were greeted with a snarky “Well you have a 10 gallon tank, what did you expect?” We were stunned. I should’ve asked more questions at that moment but it seemed like an open and shut “you are ignorant, can’t help you” response. We left feeling like we didn’t have any other options. A couple weeks go by and we grew tired of the sad, bullied fish living in fear. We called the store to see if we could exchange the instigator for someone more compatible. The gentleman that answered the call was kind and said that wouldn’t be a problem. Alas, when we got to the store we discovered that there were only a couple of people working and one of them was the manager… the same guy that we had the poor interaction with previously. We were hoping he had just had a bad day during our last encounter. Not sure if he has a lack of people skills or just a low tolerance for novice fish enthusiasts. Either way, we traded our fish for one that we researched and is known to live in groups well and we went on our way. We will not return to Emerald Bay simply because of this person. By the way, our new fish fit in perfectly and everyone is coexisting happily. We do understand that a 10 gallon tank is not ideal. However as this is a learning experience for both of us, we are absorbing all the helpful information we can. This was an opportunity for a person of higher knowledge on the topic to educate. An opportunity squandered.

Fantastic experience: This place is amazing. My family and I highly recommend.

Negative experience: The snake I got from them must have had a lingering respiratory infection when I got her. Started showing signs within a few days. She has now died, 5 weeks after getting her. I just called the shop to express my frustration and he said he was sorry that it happened and they'll give me a good deal on another one. Are you serious?! I took perfect care of her and now she's dead. Something wasn't right. I don't like to leave negative reviews, but I was shocked by his response. "We'll give you a good deal on another one" wasn't what I wanted or expected.

Fantastic experience: this shop is absolutely amazing. i have nothing negative to say for this business. they answer any and all questions and they are always always so nice and patient with me and my family. i come in every weekend for standard stuff like crickets and rats and if it weren’t for the workers and the quality i would not go out of my way to get that stuff when i could get it much closer. russ there is amazing he literally is like family to us at this point. i recommend this store anytime someone asks me where i get my reptiles and their food!

Fantastic experience: We loved you guys, there needs to be 10 stars! We came in last weekend to take a look around and spent almost 2.5 hours there! What an incredible saltwater selection, frag tanks and fish were top notch and prices on point! Freshwater was awesome too, even though we are saltwater people, the freshwater was just stunning! My lady and I cannot wait to come back and get some frags!!!!

Positive experience: Cute little aquarium shop. So many different fish fresh and salt water species! They also have coral frags and the most absolutely adorable salt water shrimp (I can't remember what it was really called).. they also have reptile supplies as well. I stopped in to just take a glance since I've never been in there before. The employees are nice and helpful! I walked away with 4 baby cherry red shrimp.

Fantastic experience: I recently got a leopard gecko, and this was the closest aquatic/reptile supply store to me. They were very knowledgeable and friendly, and their prices were very reasonable. I'll be going back for more worms for my gecko soon! I really liked it here and super happy they're very close.

Positive experience: They are one of the best places I have been to they are very friendly staff and seem to have a lot of knowledge to make sure when you get a new pet from there they will live and if you get certain pets they will send you home with some food for them so you don't have to worry if you don't have or you have to rush to get some and they will answer any questions you may have so I recommend if you are close or in the area or don't want to be sold stuff you don't need in order to get your new pet go here and by the way it was one of the most cleans place and I do know that there bearded dragon are inhouse breed

Stuff that normally I’d have to order and wait on. Fantastic experience: Amazing experience at Emerald Bay Fish & Reptiles. My teenage son asked for a snake for his birthday/Christmas gifts this year! My daughter did the research and stumbled on this store! They are very knowledgeable about each individual reptile they have all the way back to the birthdate! We were given so much info about the snakes, their skin patterns, shedding, eating habits, behaviors etc! They are very passionate about what they do and getting their customers the right fit!

Fantastic experience: Awesome place! Lots of gorgeous reptiles and saltwater fish/invertebrates. I came in looking for a friendly tarantula who was tolerant of handling, and they let me hold every tarantula they had til I found the right one. Russ was great with the spiders, and fun to talk to. They also had ExoTerra nano tanks at really great prices. Everything was very fairly priced. And as a nice bonus, they gave me a bunch of free banded crickets with my order. The hardiest of crickets! Everyone there was really nice. Russ even helped me to my car with my tank and the other items I ordered. My sweet little pink toe, Chrollo, is settling in nicely in his new home!

Fantastic experience: I swung by to grab some food for my crested gecko on my road trip. Very clean, animals well taken care of. The owner was super awesome and when I asked to buy a single cube of blood worms for my axolotl he just gave it to me. I watched him educate a new baby beardie owner and he includes free crickets in the purchase. If I was a local, this is where I'd come!

Fantastic experience: First time customers went around 3-4pm. Just wanted to stop by because I have never been there. Parking can be tricky if not paying attention. Once we were in front they have fish in a little pond like tank.. This place is amazing! They have fish (very colorful ones), shrimp, snakes, and much more. The guy was very helping anytime we had questions about something.
