Fantastic experience: This is the best aquarium store in Sydney, if you haven’t visited yet, then you must! I purchased my first ever betta fish from here and received the best customer experience ever. Sujad who is the store owner took the time and patiently attended to our questions before we purchased the little betta fish. He also gave us guidance on how to look after our fish, suggested the right aquarium to buy for the fish along with its food, wrote us a set of instructions to follow for regular water changes and much more. Sujad has a variety of beautiful fish and aquariums in his store and he really looks after them with so much care. I love visiting his store for the friendly customer service and to see his beautiful fish. If you are looking to get a fish for your home or needing advice regarding it, you must visit this aquarium

Fantastic experience: I had a really obscure issue with an impeller that broke and I was desperately looking for a replacement. The owner was super helpful and went well and truly above and beyond to find his impeller stock and ended up having to mix and match until we found a magnet which worked with my old impeller fins. Outside of that, the shop was beautiful and well presented. 5 stars isn't enough of a rating based on my experience

Fantastic experience: I like many others discovered this amazing hobby and was pleasantly surprised to meet such genuinely passionate and cool people in this community - Sajad is no exception to this phenomenon. We were recommended to him by a local we had met the day before visiting Sajad's shop and was immediately captivated by the wonderful world of aquariums, immense diversity of set-ups and beautiful fish that could be kept in the comfort of our own home. Sajad's knowledge and expertise in the hobby seemingly knows no bounds. We spent hours at his shop where he meticulously and patiently answered in such great detail all of our beginner questions and provided the best customer service we've ever had. He goes above and beyond for his customers and sets the gold standard - we won't be going anywhere else for any of our aquatic needs! Seriously recommend popping in for a visit to Waverock as there's something for everyone, even if not just to check out his amazing collection of both freshwater and marine friends!

Fantastic experience: Went to this shop to pick up egg crates for sump tank set up. End up buying fish from the guy who runs the shop. He is super friendly, helpful and very patiently explain to me each of his marine tank set up. Even though I told him i am not into such tank. He seems very enthusiastic with marine tank. Would go back to him even it is 35 mind away.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely lovely little store! The guy who runs it is super friendly and helpful. Dispensed some methylene blue from a bulk container for me as all the smaller bottles were out of stock and there was no way I’d use even a 1/3 of a bulk bottle Also bought a beautiful leafy anubias tht even had a little flower. I’m very pleased! Very happy to know this little gem of a store is close by. They also stock saki hikari fancy goldfish food. Will definitely be back!

Positive experience: Staff are very knowledgeable, super helpful for beginners. Great set up in store, a decent variety. Be wary of pricing as we were sold a fluval wavemaker for $110, only to find they are worth $70-$80 at other stores for the same model. A bit disappointing as we thought we were dealing with an honest, reasonable aquarium store.

Fantastic experience: I came here 2 weeks ago and bought some hydrocotyle and a sword all doing healthy and growing really fast! everything here is really healthy and the fish are great! I would recommend this store to anyone and it's better than most LFS. Sajad gives you great advice and tips.

Fantastic experience: I had seen the good reviews before heading to Waverock and as it turned out it was even better than expected, Sajad was soo generous with his time and knowledge to help us with our first tropical fish tank and made sure we got just what we needed, nothing that we didn't. Fantastic experience: I’m a beginner at having fish as a pet. Sajad guided me we'll and build my confidence. My 5 year old boy learnt so many new things and Sajad spent hours answering his millions of questions about underwater life as a result we are enjoying looking after our goldfish. Negative experience: Do not recommend going here. One of the Betta fish we bought from here had a disease and it spread it to our whole Aquarium. We also had a Guppy and it died within a week of buying the fish from here as well

Fantastic experience: Cannot recommend this place enough. Sajad the owner was extremely knowledgeable and absolutely willing to go above and beyond to make sure I was looked after especially since I had my two year old daughter with me. If you're a beginner, just come here. Don't go anywhere. He will tell you exactly what to do and how to look after the fish in the most cost effective fish friendly method. If you're more advanced at keeping fish this is someone who will share your love of fishes. At this point won't need to go anywhere else for any of my fish needs. And I'm happy to report a month and my two goldfish are still alive and swimming :). Also prices are excellent!

Fantastic experience: This would be a perfect experience of services I have ever got! The owner Sajad is knowledgeable, careful, patient and friendly. This is the first time for me and my partner to keep tropical fish. After knowing this, Sajad spends more than 2 hours explaining how to start with keeping tropical fish and a lot of other things which we should pay attention to. He only recommends us what we really need, rather than let us buy a lot of useless things in order to make money. If you also keep fish, whether it's marine, freshwater or tropical fish, Waverock Aquarium will be a great choice when you need something that really works. If you are also a new keeper like me and planning to start keeping fish, then waverock will definitely be your wisest choice to go with!
