Negative experience: I’m making this post to warn others to always do your research! I purchased an enclosure set up worth almost $1000, only to discover that the items in said set up were completely wrong for my animal! If I didn’t do further research my animal would most certainly be dead! Cheap items to get you out the door with little to no knowledge on actual requirements that the animal needs, from $1100 to $2500 a week later to obtain all the correct lighting, heat and substrate, not happy!

Fantastic experience: One of the best pet shops I’ve ever visited. The staff are incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and go above and beyond to help you choose the right pets and care for them properly. The selection of fish and other animals is fantastic

Negative experience: BUYER BEWARE: Don't buy fish from this store, they have massive issues with white fungus and they don't quarantine the fish at all which is why you see dead ones in the tanks all the time. Don't buy any from here especially if adding to an existing aquarium.

Negative experience: If I could I’d give 0 stars! I brought four tropical fish and they were dead within hours. They were replaced and once again dead within hours after owning gold fish for five years I thought it was strange. The fish swam funny from the get go. Rang and spoke to what was the manger and recieved nothing but disgusting degrading behaviour I asked to speak to the owner as she was over the top and talking over me without answering my questions which I was told she doesn’t care it’s her husband and hung up I called x 3 more to try get my questions answered and no one could answer them professionally. I went to the pet shop Woonona and was greeted lovely and so far no issues with my new fish! I would never spend a cent in this shop again

Negative experience: Paid top dollar for a pure bred pomerainan in 2020 (YES, it's taken me this long to post, cause I'm sick and tired of being ripped off!), got a rat with hair extensions, the vet said more chihuahua than anything!! DO NOT BELIEVE these crooks, and DEFINITELY DON'T PAY what they are asking till you've had it proven that you're getting what you're paying for.

Negative experience: I thought it was time to get a betta (Siamese fighting fish) as I had got a large 10L glass bowl I thought this would be perfect for his forever home plenty of room to swim, as I had to go to the pet shop I brought some rocks and a few statues for the fish to be happy. Then a few chemicals I had to purchase for the water so it didn’t go yucky, I thought after paying $75 dollars the prices didn’t match my head I didn’t want to be rude and stay at the counter but I should have because when I went home to set up my fishies home I had added up the prices for a item I was charged three of when I only got two, on the receipt it comes up general goods it doesn’t state what you purchased so people be very carful you don’t get stung i now have to drive 40 minutes back there to get some sort of compensation for this I wasn’t happy

Fantastic experience: Wow! What an amazing array of animals! Although we were there to “just have a look” the staff were so friendly and happy to answer all the questions my kids asked.

Negative experience: I had a budgie for 13 years, when he died of old age I came here and bought 2 boy budgies. Within 8 weeks 1 was dead of a “genetic” gastric yeast condition. He had had diarrhoea and overate the whole time I had him, I didn’t know they were warning signs, I do now. I contacted them to buy another boy as mine was grieving and lonely and discussed preventative treatment for them both as the condition is contagious apparently. The woman was so rude, talking down to me in a barking loud voice as if I was an idiot. I’m a nurse and only trying to ensure I keep my 2 birds safe as I was traumatised racing my sick one to the vet as he die in my hand the previous day. Zero sympathy or care factor to protect the two, even advising me to not bother with seeing a vet. I was so disappointed with the defensive insensitivity that I question her treatment of any animal in her care.

Fantastic experience: This is one of the best pet stores ever. They have everything you need from you’re first pet to you’re last pet.

Negative experience: Just bought some cichlid fish and within 1hr x 2 were dead . Called store to sort out and was givin attitude from salesperson. Don’t recommend at all . Very poor !!!

Positive experience: It's a good shop with really helpful staff. They have lots if great products to choose from, however I woukd like to see a bigger range of Reptile supplies. All in all a good experience.

Fantastic experience: First time visiting and this store brought a big smile on my face with the range of animals, the gorgeous big display fish tank with the giant gourami and red fin shark. Awesome customer service greeting with a smile and just the display reptiles. To be honest it's been ages since a old school pet store as made my day so thankyou. We drove an hour to visit this store and we will be back to show our kids the string ray and cute parrot that talks

Negative experience: Terrible experience! Some of the darling finches had their tails cut so much that they were bleeding :( the poor little things were pecking their tails because of irritation:( I wanted to rescue them so bad.. wish I could give no stars.

Negative experience: Supports puppy farms and unethical breeders!! The poor dog mums have to suffer their whole lives in horrible conditions. They don't look after the animals at all and only care about profit. ADOPT DONT SHOP.

Negative experience: Puppy farm puppies for sale. Any idea on what their mums life look like? How they get abused? I can show you video's on what their life look like if you want. Unbelievable you are trying to make money this way. Won't see me back in your shop. If you care about animals buy from a proper breeder.

Fantastic experience: I was amazed by the variety of fish, bird's, lizard's & incredible aquarium species. Such as the fresh water stingrays & other exotic fish. It was so much too take in all in the one visit. I didn't get to the puppies or rodent section, as i was there to purchase a few tropical fish & the staff member couldn't of been more helpful & had knowledge of the fish i was deciding on buying. Fins fang's &, feathers are second to none in all your aquarium, terrariums & other animals enclosures. I'd also like to say how covid aware the staff members were with everyone who entered the shop. Fantastic experience: Great for lizards and turtles as well as a huge collection of birds and fish. We have bought several pets and accessories from here and have been very happy

Negative experience: Three days after getting fish from there my aquarium contaminated and killed my favourite fish, I've never lost a fish before and turns out it's well known for them to mistreat animals and have a poor aquarium ask any local aquarium stay away from there. Also my water is green from the medicine to try and save the rest of my fish.STAY AWAY!

Negative experience: Very rude staff, cramped and hordered store, I could barely get in the door. Supports backyard breeding and sells puppies from puppy farms. Shoves them in a glass box and don't even know the exact breed their selling. I know a couple of people who have purchased from this store. 1 bought fish, that all died within 1 week. And another bought a snake from them a while back and it was sick! Absolutely no regard for these animals lives. Don't know how they are even still in business. It's a shame.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely awesome place to find a forever friend no matter what your looking for, was served by a very helpful lady at the counter will definitely be coming back to get our baby chickens and cage next time we are in the area

Positive experience: They know their stuff, they have what you need but as pets go they can be over double the price compared to competing pet stores and approximately 10 to 20% higher for pet supplies.

Fantastic experience: My Partner Dan and I came in to this shop yesterday to purchase some fish. We had been here before, but yesterday was something else. The service we received was absolutely next level. We learned his name is Damo - and not only did he greet us with a friendly face, he helped us select the right fish for our tank and had a head full of knowledge to share. He filled us in on tips on which fish work together and which don't - and enlightened us on how to look after each kind properly. We really want to give him a big shout out, because the service he gave was of definite high standards and we are stoked to have spent just under $200 and left feeling great with all of our new fish friends !

Negative experience: Took my children here to purchase fish on 2 seperate occassions. First timers we are to the "Aquarium Life". The 3 guys we spoke to were awesome, knew their stuff, and informed us of what fish would be suited to our tank and each other. Easy, yes. So after a few weeks we go back buy some more with advice of what to get. So now we have 11 fish. One starts to bully the other fish and one dies (probably from stress being chased around the tank). So we take the dead fish back(don't want a refund, I guess this happens). But want to exchange the Bully and the other fish (same species of the one that died). What do you know they don't exchange. Mind you only had them for a bit over a week. The ones we exchange cost about $25. This is where the Boss with the attitude steps in. Test the water and says the PH is a bit low. I have a perfectly calibrated Electronic PH Metre at home. PH is fine.it sits at 7.2 , also the other 8 fish are thriving doing well. Then after not asking for a refund, but an exchange I was told they don't exchange by the Boss Lady. I know she was the boss because she was throwing her weight around, literally. I was offered $10 store credit. Now I'm sure the fish I returned will be sold for the same price I purchased them for. She, the boss told me they don't exchange fish just a store credit. Well I'm sorry to say the price of fish in China had not risen or fell during the last week . So I end up getting a $15 fish and having to fork out an extra $5. The point is I was told that these fish are compatible. Apparently 1 dead fish later and 2 others fighting, I beg to differ. So because you, yes you Big Grumpy Attitude Know it all Boss Lady (probably owner) have just lost a customer to the New OCEAN STORM AQUARIUM IN WARILLA next door to Bing Lee (opening soon I believe). Like other reviews have stated "if it wasn't for your staff" then they wouldn't return. Thank you to the Guys that did help me I guess you can only do do much for your customer. All this for the sake of not giving me $15 more store credit on what I originally paid. Was it worth it?

Negative experience: Bought a fish tank for our kids, we knew nothing about raising fish and instead of recommending the tried and true brands of fish tanks they sold us a dud cheap Chinese ripoff in which parts cannot be bought for, very disappointed taking advantage of patrons to move there cheap junk stock instead of providing solid good customer service, we're locals but will never go back

Negative experience: They have a lot of stuff for reptiles and the lizards and snakes look to be in good condition and well looked after, but the state of the birds there was awful. Narrow and bare cages under bright fluorescent lighting, no toys, some birds missing all the feathers on their head from being attacked by others in the cages, one so full of finches there literally wasn't enough space for them all to perch on the couple of perches in there. Really disappointing to see the lack of care for the birds. Amazon behind the front desk was also destroying it's feathers. Won't be going back.

Negative experience: Staff are rather blazae - not overly friendly - ever. Not just one off but of the few times I have been there - same attitude. They are also quite expensive. Would rather shop somewhere else and give my hard earned cash where the service is polite and friendly.

Negative experience: Purchased a reptile enclosure which was flimsy and unsafe as the glass was no held in place sturdy very dangerous for children to be around had to contact ACCC before I was offered a solution and replacement tank is damaged Animal enclosures are not kept clean either I would not recommend or ever shop here again worst service

Negative experience: Purchased two rabbits both died within 10 days, they were too young to be separated from their mother and had not built up their immune system, we spent over $200 at Green Cross Vet trying to save one of them. Will never buy anything from this store again. Neither were wormed, just a quick sale was more important, sad a local business wants PROFIT before animal WELFARE

Negative experience: Fish and birds are always sick. They don't take the birds to the vet they let them suffer in the shop until there about to die then they move them to a cage out the back. Disgusting place

Rushed over from wollongong to buy a pet for my daughter after work, the website says 5.00pm closing time the shop door 4.45 pm the store was shut 4 40 pm. Drove to warrawong and back because the info is not updated, and, left my daughter very sad.
