Fantastic experience: Such friendly and helpful staff. One of the staff, Nathan, gave us really good information. We learned so much more in 20 minutes compared to months of going to other shops. The range of fish and corals is amazing and they have just about every piece of equipment you could possibly want. 100% would recommend to any new and experienced fish keepers.

Negative experience: The worse experience I ever had in any customer service environment . Perhaps, actually I am pretty sure I was judged for the gym clothes I was wearing . After living in Dubai for 16 years I moved home to Sydney and decided to have something I have always dreamed .. a Fish Tank! I was ready to order one from China but instead I decided to go to a local shop and support local business! The gentleman treated me with the ultimate disrespect . He half talked to me trying to walk away ( I was the first and only customer at the shop at 10am) when I asked questions he answered with a tone of ignorance and disrespect I have never experienced! And at the end he told me : ‘you don’t need to be here … you wouldn’t buy it anyway’ If he worked on commissions .. he made a mistake … a big mistake ! Fish tank ordered …. Happily payed 3 times more from China ! Sorry to do this! However since he mention I would t afford …. Attached is the receipt ! Sorry for my gym clothes !

Fantastic experience: What a wonderful aquarium and staff . They are very friendly and knowledgeable . We came all the way from Victoria to this shop . They explain everything about how to take care of fish and how to assemble the tank overall top notch service. I highly recommended this aquarium to everyone .

Fantastic experience: We have been their customers for over 10 years. Yesterday, I bought a new pond pump but discovered our hoses were too small to connect it. A huge thank you to Nathan for spending considerable time helping me resolve the issue. He approached the situation with great patience and a willingness to go above and beyond. While I was waiting for assistance, I saw him explain, step by step, how to use an auto-feeding device to an elderly gentleman. I was truly impressed by his warmth and kindness towards the elderly, and I believe he deserves recognition. Special thanks also to the owner, Kevin, for guiding Nathan while he was off work and attending an important occasion.

Negative experience: I’ve visited couple of times and every single time rude service,omg that guy he is not suggesting just saying I don’t know do you want or not like that on very rude way.

Negative experience: I’ve visited twice, first visit in asked they guy with long hair at the front desk for help, I explained i was new and interested in starting my fish tank hobby, i asked for advice and explained what i know and if he recommended anything, was told to watch youtube as he didn’t have the time and he told me he wouldn’t even sell some items to me because it would be a waste of time and seem very annoyed. I revisited a second time hoping maybe they guy was having a bad day but he proceeded to be rude and proceeded to do other things while serving me and kinda half ignored and seemed mad i was asking questions. I recently looked at the reviews and most other visitors have had the same problem from as far back as 4 years. The guy seems full of himself and from what ive heard from other great aquatic shops and petstores the fish tank hobby is dying and i can see why. Maybe they should check youtube for customer service skills like i was recommended by them to watch youtube

Negative experience: The guy with the tattoo seems like the owner was really cocky ,impatient, rude, and looked annoyed by my questions. Last time i came here was approached by a different staff and he was really good at handling customer.

The sales associate who I approached for advice was rude, cocky, impatient, and really made me feel like I was annoying him. If you're not interested in helping customers then customer service is probably not the right job for you.

Negative experience: One staff member extremely rude! Wasn't prepared to listen regarding equipment I attempted to return less than 7 days ago.. Spoke over the top of me! In the end I retaliated then told to leave the shop!

Fantastic experience: All the staff are knowledgeable, enthusiastic, patient and friendly. Despite the fact that they don't sell any turtles there (P.S. there're not that much stores in NSW that sell turtles cuz live reptile dealer licence is required), the staff are still really knowledgeable and gave tons of good advice. It's fun and informative talking to them cuz the staff are pet lovers themselves too. Can't speak highly enough of this store, always make my visit extremely pleasant. = ]

Fantastic experience: This place is really one of the best when it comes to fish, coral, equipment and most of all information. Had the pleasure of dealing with Kevin and to be honest these guys sure know their stuff. They were helpful in every possible way. From going through so much detail when helping me understand the Saltwater aquarium hobby and tried to identify what exactly it was that I was trying to achieve. I've been to many aquarium shops and I must say Kevin and Hayden have a true passion for anything aquarium related and that translates into a well informed customer knowing how and why things are done to better my reef keeping skills. Couldn't see myself going anywhere else.

Negative experience: Very bad customer service. I took my two daughters in to buy fish for them for Xmas. We were treated like we were a nuisance when we asked a question. No customer service at all. Two weeks on and we now have 2 dead fish. When I called to let them know there was no apology it had to be our fault and they blamed the water. We did everything they told us to do. We will never return to the shop again. Very bad experience. They are money makers

Fantastic experience: Came in to buy some tetras and a few bits for my other tank. Owner had really good talk with me to establish I was getting the right products and ended up talking me out of the holiday fish tablets - forgoing part of a sale to give the right advice - which is so impressive. The tetras I purchased are healthy and doing really well. I will definitely be back with my business!

Negative experience: Worst customer service I've ever experienced. Not only are they cocky and think they know it all, but their fish are poor quality and mistreated. The marine side of the aquarium had white spot disease and when i pointed it out to them they tried to but me down saying I didn't know what i was talking about. They then proceeded to argue the point saying if i fresh water bath any salt water fish that they would be fine. I would never buy from this diseased place ever again

Fantastic experience: The staff was great to deal with. They helped choosing plants and decoration which are looking great in my tank. Definitely recommend this shop for aquarium stuff.

Positive experience: I like the set ups and atmosphere inside the shop but the guy at the counter needs to be more helpful to the visitors as they are there to ask for opinions and advices as a newbie like myself. Or is it the boss not treating them right making their life harder to provide good service to the customer? Whichever it is the boss needs to address such issue if he or she really cares about his business reputation. However the youngest Asian male staff was super helpful and pleasant. So thank you and the star is purely because of the dealing with you.

Fantastic experience: I have been to a lot of Sydney aquariums. This is the best one yet. Great service and CLEAN! Something a lot of other aquariums are missing. It also has a great range of fish and accessories. It has everything. Great Job guys!

Negative experience: Agree with the other review that writes about the service of this shop, the other staff are half-ok except the owner Jem that doesn't give a jack about people that are new to aquarium keeping. I started marine fish hobby 10 months ago and walked into this shop to look for prices of nano tanks and then asked question about how to begin marine fish keeping, I was told to watch youtube. Then I was served by a staff that wanted to check on me, he right away recommended a big tank with cabinet underneath and the whole system quoted 2000 dollars. I don't want to say bad words about the shop but they do want your money rather than sharing the hobby and inspire people. I later bought a nano tank system with sand / bacteria / media / rocks all included for a price about 450 dollars in the city aquarium store. the owner there was too busy to serve me and offered later a 50 discount for the wait. Anyway but that shop also has its downsides which I won't mention here. After maturing my tank for fish ready state, I went to compare prices for fish prices, this store in a south suburb has generally higher pricing by 10-40 dollars compared to other fish shops like aquaristic and city fish shops which has a lot bigger varieties. Equipment and general fish keeping materials are higher pricing too , like fish food etc. you can find cheaper retail online as an advice here. Second time I visited the shop to ask the pricing on an marine salinity tester, was quoted price of 130, the box was half opened with bit of water inside, obviously a store used model. Tips: You can find one on ebay for 35-40 dollars. Then the third time I decided to add an additional fish to my existing nemo, I saw a fish(forgot the name) marked for 30 dollars when it's normally $50 -$60, after I got to the counter, was asked to pay $60 and he appeared very upset that it's the wrong pricing. I apologized but was greeted with immediate walk off. That's my experience with this shop. For absolute service attitude and good experience, fish buying, I recommend aquaristic in greensquare, they really have the humble staff that treat customer that are buying a lot / knowledgble and people that are new and even just walk in a shop to understand something the same. For bacteria / fish keeping needs stuff, Sydney city aquarium shop is genereally cheaper. Also online provides a lot of cheaper pricing if you do some digging. Thanks for reading.

The fellow I spoke to gave me oodles of free advice (which I needed as I'm new to fish ownership). Very much appreciated but I kind of feel embarrassed that I didn't buy anything after all his help!
