Fantastic experience: Outstanding experience - James has been a wealth of knowledge. We have decided to take on aqua scaping in a 180L tank - he has helped with recommending tutorial videos, which canister filter we need, how much soil we require and how to apply power sand underneath correctly - James even took the time to help with scape designs by demonstrating in his Dojo. We came in with little knowledge and left feeling confident to go the high Tech route. I am very impressed and can honestly say I have enjoyed my experience with Aggies. Thank you again team Aggies.

Negative experience: Was silly enough to leave some Fluval filers there with the hardware i.e. a spray bar. When the partly repaired filters were picked up...shock horror...the spray bar was missing!!!!..was told it was never there. First n last time I use that shop. Things seem to go missing.

Fantastic experience: Recently, I moved to Adelaide and visited the aquarium today. I must say, their customer service is excellent, especially the store worker girl, who is a very respectful lady and always helps me. Aggie's Aquarium is the nearest place to my house, and I will definitely be coming back. The aquarium also has many fish varieties, various aquarium equipment and food options. Additionally, they have some reptiles, I think.

Fantastic experience: Impressive customer service. There were challenges getting a part for a very old Laguna filter. The one they sent didn’t fit. The packaging had been wrongly inscribed by the wholesaler. Aggies immediately apologised and refunded the purchase. I’ll be shopping there again.

Fantastic experience: Great local with great variety or products and fish for Marine, freshwater (cold and tropical) and shrimp. Also have great variety of products for reptiles. Beautiful aquarium plants and corals and the customer service is great!

Fantastic experience: Aggie’s aquarium is our go to shop for all our fish needs. We noticed that a lot of the fish products here are cheaper than a lot of other shops, and even online.

Negative experience: First Review 4 star: friendly knowledgeable Second Review 1 star: After hundreds of $ spent on fish, plants, food, chemicals and decorative objects over a year and a bit, we lost all of our fish ($1000 worth given size and colour) after being told to keep adding chemical after chemical because they weren't sure what was wrong with our tank, we essentially poisoned our fish. Devastated, we went somewhere else for advice, they went through our story start to finish, helped us start our tank from new and set up our filter media correctly (the filter we had are not set up correctly from factory).

Fantastic experience: Just went in before and the staffs knowledge of their range was amazing - I didn’t catch the name of the guy that served me, but I really appreciated the time he spent educating me on the care of a species I haven’t kept before. A great bonus was the friendly and welcoming atmosphere definitely recommend Aggies for any aquarium hobbyist!

Fantastic experience: Great selection of aquarium accessories and fishes but the staff working there was alot more impressive than anything else. The guy, and I am sorry I don't recall his name, that told us how to begin an aquarium and what you need was so enthusiastic about what he does, it almost made me want to buy 2 tanks.

Fantastic experience: This is a great Aquarium centre, my fave in Adelaide. Great range of stock and attentive, knowledgeable staff. They seem to have larger, breeder quality fish then most of the bigger commercial chain petstores in my opinion. Pics are of fish or offspring of fish purchased and now thriving.

Fantastic experience: Haven't had tropical tanks for years and decided to set up a little tropical tank. They had a good range of fish and plants. Prices have increased significantly in the last 25 years. Had to re-educate myself and stick with cheaper tough fish. LOL

Fantastic experience: I have been going to aggies aquariums now for a few years, I found them to be so helpful with all my problems I was having with my 600 ltr goldfish tank, they were the only ones from around the area that had the knowledge to save my fish, every one else told me to add this, add that , do this, do that, but nothing worked, I was loosing a fish each month, did run there a lot of times to get my water tested, but I did learn a lot about testing the water.

Negative experience: I have changed my review due to a recent interaction with 3 staff member. Firstly they didn't know much about fish, which is ironic, secondly they kept referring to the owner and I would need to ask him, thirdly they sold me what I believe it was a Kuhli loach for 32 dollars- Now unless the Loach is gold plated they are generally between 6- 9 dollars. I take the blame for that one shouldn't have bought it. My advice would be support local appropriate fish shops in your area but don't get ripped off. Go to Ebay for some of your goods or there are local breeders for some fish. eg bought 2 endlers 15 dollars from Aggies- breeder sells for 3 dollars each.

Negative experience: Just the worst for customer service, it’s not the first time I’ve walked in there and been completely ignored but it will be the last. We visited on Saturday morning and after FINALLY being asked “are you right?”, (about 10 minutes after walking into the shop, while other people who entered after us were attended to) a staff member began to serve us eg took one fish from the tank, then proceeded to take a phone call (no issues as we know that the staff have to multitask) but when he sat down and made himself comfortable for the phone call it became very clear that as customers we meant nothing. Took my money elsewhere and will continue to do so because this business couldn’t care less.

Negative experience: Was sold diseased fish with a disease, medicated water and a majority of my fish still died. Water test indicated the water was perfectly fine and only some nitrates from the dead fish’s body.
