Fantastic experience: First time here and I was quite impressed. Pricing can't be beat and the staff are great, always on the ready to answer questions or bag up your goodies. Definitely stop here before buying any other place. They have small colonies for the price of frags elsewhere and colours were absolutely stunning in fish and coral. Lots of neat stuff even if just browsing. Will definitely be back for some coral and I got a beauty clownfish for a price so good I felt like I was stealing! EDIT: Returned for more goodies. Was very tough to choose with frag tanks full.

Fantastic experience: Red (the owner) is fantastic. He is helpful, kind and knowledgeable. Always healthy coral and fish and he will give tou his best advice.

Negative experience: First of all I don't have any concerns about the customer service. It was my preferable store to buy due to great service and reliable vendors. The main concern is the quality of fishes started to be significantly low since COVID. For last couple years my success with fishes from this store drop from 100% to 20%. And after having a huge outage in my tank when adding a new fish and loosing almost all population I've decided to postpone buying from Coral Reef Shop and wait when the pandemia ends, store has better quality fishes, their selection and time to quarantine.

Fantastic experience: I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know Red and visiting his shop for the past few months. Red is very knowledgeable, friendly, and has fair prices. As a new reefer, Red has shown patience explaining the hobby and provided me with a great deal of guidance setting up my reef tank. I ended up getting a Red Sea max nano which arrived at the shop in less than a week, and I’ve been returning every week whether it be for pre-mixed salt water, coral, fish, or just to browse. Tldr; Coral Reef Shop is a great establishment - go check it out!

I’ve bought fish and corals from Red and his stuff is top notch, never had any issues with fish disease, and his prices are actually lower than larger competitors. Pay less and get about the highest quality you can get, it’s a no brainer. The shop is small but really great, highly recommend!

As a new member to the reefing community, one may be scared, nervous or shy to even ask some of the most basic questions. Research is always good, but sometimes there are so many different opinions or different courses of action that one may get deterred. Red really made me feel like part of this community. He runs a good shop and is always quick to respond. I just wanted to say thanks! My kids and even my wife (who was skeptical about me transferring to the bright side) felt so welcomed. Red, thanks a million for your assistance. I honestly can say that you have been awesome. I look forward to my visits to Burlington!

Fantastic experience: If you are an owner or manager of a business, you should take a moment to visit this store and observe Red in action. He is the example and model by which all business should conduct themselves. He's friendly, welcoming, unpretentious, honest, knowledgeable, and know exactly how to treat a customer. Needless to say, he alone won me over and will come back again and again. As for the store, the selection were reasonable though I was early by a week for the store new shipment. The price was generous to reasonable and if you were lucky to have met Red like I did, I sure did felt like a winner walking out of the store! The store and display were clean though small (typical of most reef shop). I normal don't login to comment online with exception of extreme cases.

He also does a really good job of answering questions and steering reefers old or new in the right direction. I really appreciate that he’s gives you an opinion on the coral or fish you are selecting to help with your selection but without being pushy.

Nice selection of fish and corals for a biginner but also some really nice corals for the experianced reefer. I highly suggest stopping by if you havnt already, Reds always got deals going on.

Positive experience: Lots of cool corals and great displays. Prices are quite high and not a huge selection of fish.but the owner is a highly knowledgeable guy and is always happy to help you with anything you need.

Positive experience: Nice stock and offer a variety of fish that are hard to obtain in the Ottawa area. The owner even offered to hold a coral for me to make sure it was healthy before I bought it. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to go back to pick it up due to a serious and sudden illness in the family, but I definitely plan to visit the store again next time I'm in Burlington!!

Fantastic experience: I went there this afternoon. It's a really nice store. The staff are really knowledgeable and helpful. The store is a bit tight to get around if you're in a wheelchair like I am. But the Red, the owner and the other staff are very friendly and more than willing to answer any of my questions.

First class customer service, very knowledge and friendly. They carry a great range of products quality products. If you are interested in saltwater aquariums you will not be disappointed.

It might take a bit of time before he's able to help you since there is only one person working but lots to look at in the mean time. Friendly and helpful customer service, especially supportive for a newbie like me. I've purchased polyps, zoanthids, a flaming scallop, and a copperband butterfly fish.

Fantastic experience: A small shop but worth a stop. I dropped in to buy clownfish with my girlfriend and they had a very lovely variety. Great consumer service, super friendly, very resourceful. All the fish look extremely healthy, to the point my girlfriend noticed how much brighter and full in colour the yellow tangs were compared to other stores.

Fantastic experience: Amazingly well run private aquarium shop. They always have an interesting selection of corals and fish at more than fair prices. Red (the owner) and Kyle are very knowledgeable, and aren't afraid to tell you when they don't know the answer to your question, but will always point you to someone who might. Admirable to see staff at a LFS that care more about your tank than the sale.

Fantastic experience: The wife and I recently stopped in to aid in the stocking of her sons saltwater reef aquarium. We picked up 2 new animals. 1 a Blue Tang (Doree from Nemo) and also a white anemone that we are hoping will become home to the 2 clowns we have from a previous trip. The store is small , but is well stocked with wildlife, corals and anemones, and several species of fish. Proprietors seem to be very knowledgeable about the products they carry. For sure we will be back!! Prices seem to be very competitive and variety is awesome

Fantastic experience: Amazing place, great selection, easily the #1 saltwater stop in the GTA. They are VERY helpful, helped me through my first tank and now will be helping me to stock my new tank. They also maintain a private 1350 gallon reef tank, which is beautiful.

Fantastic experience: This is a new place that I've been to a few times now. They have an amazing selection of corals, especially frags which is what I go for. They keep an uncomplicated pricing system and everything is always healthy from what I've seen. They have a smaller fish wall and (at least everytime I've been there) the fish have looked healthy as well. The owners are very helpful and friendly, quick to answer questions but not the type to hang around either which is nice. Not a huge selection of stock as of yet, lots of good quality skimmers and pro equipment though. I sincerely hope that this store is around for a long time as it sure beats anything else that has been around.

Fantastic experience: Went to the place this weekend. Google street view says the building isn't there , but it is. Very new place , So its still not fully done, however good selection of salt water fish tank supplies , fish , corals. Good place to go for anyone looking for someone that knows what they are talking about , even if you don't. Prices are also right for what they sell. Will go back ... a lot
