Fantastic experience: I was interested in purchasing torch corals but I was unsure if the corals will make it safely to BC. Raja reassured me that he has made multiple deliveries to BC with success. My package arrived the next day as expected and the corals were in great shape! Not only that, they were in generous size too! I highly recommend Raging Reef to my friends and thank you Raja for an excellent customer service.

Fantastic experience: If you want to be successful in this hobby, Raging Reef is the place to be. I was stuck in ugly phase for 2 years battling nothing but Dino's, cyano and the worst algae flavors your can dream of, throwing money out the window by trying various products. Until i changed Stores and met Raging Reef, i followed their step by step 'how to save your aquarium' recommendations and finally now i can grow corals and out of ugly phase.

Nothing but good things to say about this business and its owner. He updated his site specifically for my order we discussed over email, WHILE it was being worked on and updated, I've never felt more satisfied with a business than in that moment. Talk about service. Raja will go above and beyond your needs in my multiple experiences and is always willing to add a last-minute item to the order before it ships out if you have room. Warns you a couple hours in advance before he ships the order so you can track it the whole way if you so choose. Replies to emails right away, and he's bilingual as well, so that's always a bonus. Keep up the great work! 100% will order again and highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: * update review (can't seem to edit previous, at this point - probably been too long). Had the pleasure of dealing with Raging Reef again (update from my previous in store visit) at a coral show in Montreal. One thing that impressed me was how the owner was legitimately excited about his corals and was happy to share his knowledge. His prices at the coral show were amazing! I wanted to leave an updated review....to cancel out my previous. They definitely won me back, as a customer. I do believe in 2nd chances and I'm glad I gave Raging Reef another. I do feel..looking back - had I reached out to the owner directly, my concerns probably would have been handled. Lessons learned. As for coral health - what I saw at the coral show was top notch. My corals settled in quickly and look amazing.

Fantastic experience: One of the things I love most about Raging Reef is Raja. He’s the only man who has ever told me no to selling me something. Sometimes because the fish l wanted was not compatible with mine or because my aquarium was too small or l had to have a more consistent and/or better quality of water. He would never sell you an inappropriate thing for your aquarium, and he owns the place! Kudos Raja! A forever fan.

Negative experience: They obviously know what they’re doing but my experience has been mixed. The advice I received was great but I purchased an auto top off and a piece was missing inside the open box, it was probably cannibalized for another purpose. A few days ago I wanted to get my water tested and arrived 20 mins before closing. When I asked to have my water tested, the reply I received was: « we’re closing soon » Looked at my watch and asked how long it takes to test water… « 15 to 20 mins » Look at my watch again… « We’re in the process of closing » At that point my brain wasn’t processing and I simply walked out. I probably won’t be going back. Edit: I guess this situation repeats itself often, but I did get there 20 mins before closing and if I was a little agressive, it was the disbelief that a customer would be turned away like that, without offering to perform the get the next morning.

Fantastic experience: I started with a freshwater tank and decided to change it into a saltwater tank. They explained to me every I needed to know. Amélie, one of the workers helped me a lot and told me what I needed since I’m a beginner. This store has reasonable price and good service.

Negative experience: Went and visited store - staff were inattentive and uninterested in helping. Overall impression was that customers were more of an annoyance, to their life. After searching a lack luster selection of corals - I settled on one. One of the sales people advised me, it was 2 heads and off I went. I drove 2hrs back home - and by the time I got coral acclimated and dipped, was already looking weak. By the next day, torch had bailed. All that was left - was a single head. I wasn't impressed, I was charged for 2. I posted a review on their FB and owners "Raja" messaged me, all upset about my honest review. No offer to replace or refund me for the dead coral...Id just bought. Few weeks later - owner then started calling out those who comment on less than stellar experiences- as "Karen & Kens". Shows the true professonalism and maturity of these shop owner. Save yourself the hassle - and money, and deal with a reef shop, that cates for its customers. Won't be dealing with this reef shop, ever again.

Negative experience: In store service for picking out your fish is great but as soon as you ask for help or any consulting over the phone or in person you get attitude. It's twice now I call to see if there's a product or any alternative solution for salt water aquarium treatments and I get attitude and talked down to. Horrible help. Not motivated to ever spend money at this store again as a customer.

Fantastic experience: I'd like to write about my amazing first time experience dealing with Raging Reef. I was on the look out for a rare flashing tilefish and saw that this store recently had some in stock. Unfortunately, by the time I had called, they had already sold out of this very popular fish. Out of pure kindness, Raja, the owner of the store said that he had one left in his store's display tank that he was willing to sell me. The kind gesture of willing to selling me a fish reserved for a display tank made me realize just how wonderful the store treats their customers (whether old or new). Before shipping the fish to me, Raja made sure it was eating and gaining weight. As you know, shipping can be quite stressful for fish, so he wanted to make sure the fish would not only survive the trip, but also thrive in my tank. I am happy to say that the tilefish is doing amazing. What made my dealings with Raging Reef even sweeter, was that he was able to offer me the fish for a great deal with free shipping included. The attention to detail while packaging my shipment, was quite evident. The heat pack was still nice and warm, the fish was triple bagged and was covered in a nice warm heated wrapper. You could tell they care about what they do, their fish and their customers! To top it all off, Raja threw in a free container of Fauna Marin fish food. How sweet!! To anyone in Canada looking to purchase saltwater fish, corals, equipment and foods, look no further, because Raging Reef will always have your back! You will not be disappointed!!

Fantastic experience: Great selection for marine aquariums. Freindly staff, the owner Raja is often behind the counter and he and his employees are very knowledgeable about all things salt water. Ive been going there for close to 10 years and if you have a salt water aquarium you wont be disappointed. They have a nice selection of coral and fish and if they dont have what you want he can probably get it for you.

It was my first time purchasing an aquarium for my home and the owner, Raja, kindly guided me step by step through what the purchase would entail. He also advised me on what I would require to optimize the longevity of the fish and coral as well as the visual appeal of the aquarium itself.
