Negative experience: Order corals and a few inverts for a small side project. The company plays email games with the customer until they can decide when the shipment will go out instead of the requested dates. They also expect a customer to take multiple days off work and get upset when i redirected the order based on FedEx only offering to redeliver to my house the following day as well… I can’t afford multiple short notice days off. Of course the coral came in poor condition. the heat pack was cold, inverts were dead and the coral was bleached. Not a single survivor in the order. I won’t ever shop with a company like this again. The only thing they were good at is blaming me. Avoid avoid avoid. I’ll post the dead order on your Facebook for everyone to check out. Poor packing, poor planning, poor business.

Negative experience: Nothing to buy, not worth for us to spend 45 minutes driving to there.. they got more fresh water fish than aquarium fish, not as much as their website show.

Fantastic experience: Not the cleanest shop I have been to but they definitely have the lowest pricing and the friendliest staff, so still 5stars in my books!

Negative experience: Doesn’t even deserve 1 star. Worst experience ordering online ever! Stick with Candy Corals and Fragbox, they actually want to help you and not give you the run around with “claims” that they have no intention of approving. If you want to flush your money down the drain then Canada Corals is the place! Response to “business”: I have all emails, not once was I warned that livestock might perish. They were shipped (during bad weather) and I emailed my concern. Reply from business was ‘Please document how they arrive and file a claim if needed within 2 hours of delivery. Inverts do not consume very much air – and they were packed larger than we regularly do just in case. If they are cold on arrival – please acclimate as you normally would and bring the temps up slow. Inverts can “hibernate” and come back after becoming cold.’ There was one heating pack ON TOP of newspapers and bag. The livestock wouldn’t have survived 1 day shipping. It arrived so cold that I’m surprised it wasn’t chunks of ice in bags. All photos of livestock (dead) were submitted and had a lot of trouble sending video through their “claim page”. Offered a 30% discount on a future order with a minimum order of over $100. As you can see from their terrible customer service response, stay far away from this ‘business’.

Positive experience: The store is good! Great selection, helpful staff unfortunately can't give 5 stars because the gold rim tang I bought developed symptoms of velvet and died within a week of purchase

Fantastic experience: They have the healthiest corals of any store I've been to. The staff are really knowledgeable and are real saltwater hobbyists. The prices are really fair and they often have great sales. Good selection and some awesome larger colonies. They have a very limited dry goods section due to space limitations, but the corals are the stars anyways. Worth the trip out to them!

Fantastic experience: I recently ordered a biota yellow tang from canada corals. The fish came from vancouver to st.johns, the fish arrived In excellent condition and on time, swimming and active as soon as I opened the box. The fish was well cared for and was very well packaged with lots of water, styrofoam blocks and thermal pads. If everyone's order is the same quality as the one I received then I have no doubt every customer will be satisfied just like I am, thanks Canada Corals

Fantastic experience: The staff here are incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful both online and in person. As someone who is a newbie in saltwater fishkeeping, it's somewhat intimidating to head into a specialty fish store trying to remember exactly what you need, but the staff here are very patient in explaining various processes involved in the hobby. Their website is also very user friendly and visually aesthetic. They've also got accurate photos of their corals that are for sale, which I personally adore because having actual photos of the corals lets you see exactly what you're purchasing. Additionally, because there's so much color variations, it also helps beginners get a better idea of what you want in your tank. I will definitely be coming back to stock my tank once it fully cycles!

Fantastic experience: My son loves to visit this place. Lots of beautiful coral, fish, and crustaceans to see. Keeping a tank and having corals are daunting tasks for us. But it's such a great uplifting experience, walking to a store with vivid displays, and one of the owners explaining to us about the corals. We can tell he is passionate about the corals and the fish. Very knowledgeable too. Although keeping corals or pets is not a thong for us, I would still give kudos and recommend this place to anyone looking for aquatic pets :)

Fantastic experience: I had the most amazing experience dealing with the friendly and educated staff at Canada corals. I recently purchased a mandarin dragonet from them this was my first ever online purchase and they walked me threw the whole thing and answered all my questions quickly. their prices are extremely reasonable and my fish was excellently packages and arrived healthy and happy. I highly recommend them for all you salt water needs

Negative experience: Canada Corals used to be a great place to shop. Since the move I have emailed them multiple times about a previous store credit I was granted for an order mishap to no avail. No response whatsoever. Edit: Brian reached out to me Immediately by phone after posting this to resolve the issue. He did confirm my store credit is indeed in the system as it should be. For some reason I am not receiving any emails from them still so not sure what is up with that.

Fantastic experience: Stopped in here this weekend to pick up some supplies for our nano reef; received some extremely helpful information. We can’t wait to come back and purchase our corals here once the tank is ready, they looked incredibly healthy. I’ve found that some of the other Aquarium stores owners/employees can be very condescending, but that was not the case with Steven. He made the experience so enjoyable!

Negative experience: Bought 3 fish from them 2 clowns and a yellow tang. All 3 ended up being sick same day of purchase, i contacted them saying i would try and heal them in my qt tank and keep them posted. They showed little sympathy to have sold me sick fish and said there was nkt much they could do. After one clownfish died I asked if he could be replaced at the least and they refused. I do not recommend buying anything from theses people as they have low experience and have no problem risking compromising peoples pricey displays.

Fantastic experience: I was very thrilled to visit Canada Corals since I just started having interest in the hobby. I wasn't sure what would I find, but I was very happy by my experience with the staff and in the store overall. I was blown away by all the fish selection they have. I was beyond amazed. I loved it and my love to the hobby doubled 100 times. What's even better is the staff. They were very helpful and ready to answer all my questions. They also told me that they will be able to answer all my questions on emails if I need any more help. When I was done, I went home and started doing my research, thinking about how can I make the perfect reef tank. The size, stocking..etc! I was almost ready, but I had more questions. I emailed Canada Corals with my questions about stocking the tank. When they got back to me, I was given a full detailed answers about my questions. I also received a great detailed feedback about my fish stocking. Like what kind of fish would be compatible with each other and what fish (from what I picked) would be aggressive with the others. Overall, I had a great experience dealing with Canada Corals. I will gladly suggest them to anyone of my friends!

Negative experience: Staff didn't really know too much. Shop was very clean but I am a beginner and felt like I knew more about the hobby than the person I was talking to. Corals were little pricey and not the healthiest.

Positive experience: My corals seem to never be able to get to me but customer service always tried their best. My boyfriend tried to get me sps corals as a surprise for Valentines day shipped to my office tank... The staff and owners try their best to help but for my 1st shipment, I was accidentally shipped the wrong shipment and was sent someone else's (I order around $400 worth of sps and got a small box of zoas lol). To be honest it made me pretty sad as I was told the day before about my surprise and was very excited for it. They were very apologetic and credited my shipment. 2nd shipment arrived mostly dead, had 2 corals alive that included my freebie, once again very apologetic and credited my shipment. I did notice that the heat pack was shipped differently than the 1st shipment, it was shipped in an envelope which i felt contained the heat, asked if the next they could ship it like the 1st shipment with the heat pack not inside an envelope.. So my THIRD shipment, ordered again, my shipment ended getting delayed by a day, they tried to get it shipped asap but still delayed. Arrived colder than me and dead again =( , heat pack was still shipped with the envelope. Called them and spoke to the owners who were apologetic and ended up refunding my boyfriend's money. Would I order again? I told them I would when it gets closer to summer. These guys tried their best and thats all I can ask for. Considering all thats happened, I am giving them 4 out of 5 stars for their efforts even though it seemed impossible to get my corals.

Positive experience: Fair prices and the staff knew a lot, really exited I found this place and the tanks are insanely clean. Loved it EDIT 6/22/2018 I feel the dry goods are still better than everywhere in both quality and price however the coral itself has steadily increased in price. On average I would say between 30 and 40%.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic place to go for your saltwater aquarium needs. Very well maintained facility with some rare and beautiful corals. Definitely the place to go for birds nest, sps, lps and soft corals. It is nice to see a specialist hobby store like this in Mississauga.
