Fantastic experience: Went to 5 different aquarium stores that day and this one had the cleanest tanks. Fish looked healthy and well taking care of. Great selection of fish and prices were fair! Introduced the fish to my tank and all seem to be doing great. Owner was friendly and helpful. Will be back in the future

Negative experience: Em... I dunno what the reviews here are on about. It was not a clean facility, other than the tanks. This place is like walking into a damp dungeon. The fish tanks are absolutely bare with no substrate, plants, or decor. The fish just exist in rectangles of water until someone hopefully buys them. The bettas were in seriously poor condition. They were in these glass jar vase things, but the water was filthy and the tails on most of them were either falling off or bitten off. They looked sickly, like they were forgotten. It's so sad, seeing how much care they put towards their discus and then you look at the bettas and they are in a worse state than petsmart. If you are here for anything other than fish or food, you are going to be buying old inventory that has been sitting on the shelf for who knows how long. They were topping up the tanks when I got there, so they had a massive hose on the floor in their narrow aisle, and it was wet. It was quite the trip hazard, and I didn't see the hose initially as it's dark in there. There were no caution signs or anything. I just turned a corner and stumbled over a hose.

Positive experience: Some things are very expensive, awesome looking Discus fish

Fantastic experience: An awesome place to visit with gorgeous displays to look at as well as healthy and interesting stock! This place also has some of the most stunning bettas, angelfish and freshwater rays I’ve ever seen in person. Unlike many stores that sell large fish, the tanks were large enough for the fish to swim comfortably. The staff are also very welcoming and helpful. 100% worth a visit!

Fantastic experience: I recently picked up keeping fish as a hobby again after a 15-20 year gap. I’d visited half a dozen fish stores to check out livestock and general tank inspo. When I entered this shop I immediately felt a sense of calm that I didn’t feel in many of the other stores. The tanks are all really clean and well maintained, the fish all look happy and healthy. Uncle checked my water and gave me some really solid advice. I especially liked that he wasn’t trying to sell me any bottles of chemicals or anything, just practical tips on how to manage my aquarium naturally. I will definitely be back, this is my favourite shop so far!

Fantastic experience: I haven't purchased any fish from this store yet but was highly impressed by both the quality and variety. If you like arowana, it's a must visit. Plenty of other interesting fish as well and tanks were clean, I will be back.

Negative experience: Terrible attention: The treatment I received was absolutely unacceptable. The staff, apparently badly managed by the owner, was rude and completely indifferent to my needs. 2. Total lack of professionalism: Not only was the attention terrible, but they also showed an impressive lack of professionalism. It was evident that the team was not trained or motivated to help. 3. Inadequate and unsolved answers: Every time he posed a problem, the answers were evasive and did not offer any concrete solution. I felt like I was wasting my time trying to get help. 4. No effort to improve: The most frustrating thing was the lack of interest on the part of the owner in improving the situation. After several attempts at communication, I never received an adequate response or follow-up on my case. I’ll never come back to this store!

Fantastic experience: A stop we always make when in the area - and have designated trips with my autistic children as it’s such a clean, bright, calm atmosphere. Unlike big chain pet stores - bettas are kept on larger containers made of glass/divided aquariums. The fish all look healthy and super bright and colourful. I have been cycling a tank just to go back and get my kiddos glofish there ( the brightest under natural light I ever seen, hardy sizeable tetras and danios available at an unbeatable price tag!) plan to pick up myself a couple barbs super soon! Been attending this store for years and it’s maintained so well and staff are welcoming! When we purchased our betta (seriously the BEST bettas at the best prices!) the gentleman even said “thank you” when we said we wanted to take him! I always feel welcomed and never pressured or hovered over!

Negative experience: They lied me about bioclear . Gave me wrong chemical to clear my pond and that is not even working.

Positive experience: They have loads of selection on fishes. Loved this place to even just go and look at the fishes. They have both fresh water and salt water fishes.

Negative experience: The owner was really rude and racist and literally insulted me and my kids… he kept following us all around the store like we were going to steal fished from out of the tank. Made us feel really uncomfortable and super insulted. I would not recommend you buy fishes from him at all. It would be better if you just go to big als down the road.

Fantastic experience: Very good collection of fish, ranging from flowerhorns, arowanas, angelfish, betta, etc. I was astonished with their cichlids and arowana, as they're one of the most beautiful ones I've seen in a long time. Although I didn't plan to buy those (I may in the future), I was able to purchase a lot of fish equipment, food, and some angelfish/plecos. The owner was very nice and the prices were reasonable. I return here often and I will continue to in the future.

Negative experience: The closing time on Google is 6pm and we went to the store at 5:20pm. The owner asked if we have anything specific to buy or he need to leave. Not polite and friendly at all, trying to kick customer out.

Fantastic experience: Around 3 weeks ago I picked up a Leucistic Axolotl who seems to be in their juvenile state. Picking up was super easy, the gentleman who helped me also made some great suggestions based on my existing knowledge of how to care for Axolotls. I also appreciate the follow up email asking about my experience as not many businesses do this without review gating (surveys, etc.). I had such a great experience that I came back here for some bloodworms (great price and great quantity) and some décor for my tank. 10/10, will be back again for some Angel fish in the near future!

Fantastic experience: Loved this fish store! They have all of the supplies you need to get started and maintain your hobby. Their fish stock is amazing! Everything freshwater. Arowanas, cichlids, angels, stingrays, plecos, tetras, danios. A varied selection of healthy looking aquatic plants as well! A small, amazing, independently owned shop holding its own against its big box neighbour Big Al’s. Would recommend Mississauga Aquariums to anyone!

Fantastic experience: Friendly, knowledgeable, and honest. Great experience and definitely would recommend! Oh, and also an amazing selection of Bettas. I picked up a beautiful female Galaxy Betta, a few Green Danios, Rummy-nose, and Neon Tetras. All in good health and doing very well together!

Fantastic experience: Really cool exotic fish shop! I travelled from Kingston to pick up some discus. The owner was happy to answer all of my questions and feed the fish while I was there. From what I saw, all the discus including other species were healthy, feeding well and had nice clean homes. Thanks for the experience!

Heater has stopped working as of 2nd day since purchase. On my way back to see if anything can be done. Location: Once you walk through the door, I felt like a kid in a candy store. Ambient light setting and the tanks are super clean. Staff: Knowledgeable Price: $ ~ $$$ Variety: Very good Service: 4/5 - Waiting to see if I can get an exchange on heater Definitely worth going to. Will update experience after today's revisit. 10/08/2020 3:30pm Found out that the heater was malfunctioning and owner tested out a couple of other ones and decided to get me on a upgraded heater, he deducted the difference on the price which was nice! Will be a regular customer moving forward! Thank you!

Fantastic experience: Gorgeous Arowana and Freshwater Stingray always available and in perfect condition. Huge selection of Flowerhorn and tons of Freshwater Discus & Angelfish. These guys always have specialty fish such as Indo/NTT Tiger Datnoids and Peacock Bass instore. I have personally purchased Arowana, Flowerhorn and Indonesian Tiger Datnoids here in perfect health and with great appetite. The service, selection and attention paid to customers is excellent. The staff will get to know you and treat you like a VIP.
