Negative experience: Only 1 hall is open, lots of fish and a small aquarium, money down the drain!!!

Positive experience: The aquarium is closed from 5 May 2025 - 7 May 2025… so we couldn’t get in tips: rmb to check the opening hours from the official website before visiting next time

Fantastic experience: Incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable staff working here at the aquarium. We enjoyed the visit very much.

Fantastic experience: We had very nice experience in the Øresund Aquarium. The exhibition shows the local marine life grouped in different aquariums depending on the depth the corresponding species are found. Just after the entrance you will be able to see and touch (!) some of the fish, crabs, anemones, etc. which was unexpected. And the local guide Olivia was key for our good time there. She was always around when we had questions and invited us to watch the fish in two of the aquariums being fed. Tak, Olivia!

Fantastic experience: Enjoyed it, the aquarium features mostly native species and has areas where you can feed and handle the animals. The highlight is the knowledgeable staff who are happy to answer any questions and are very enthusiastic about what they do.

Fantastic experience: If you are visiting the City with children, it is the best place for them. It is a small place but worth a visit. Children may enjoy touching some fish. Nearby there is a lovely harbour where there is a playground and a view point where you can see Sweden. Also nearby a street food place.

Fantastic experience: We went at a very quiet time so got to be a part of a 1:1 live feeding which was brilliant. Staff are helpful and are ready to answer all questions. It's a great way to see the local marine life. Had an amazing time here.

Fantastic experience: Excellent aquarium. Very small and it doesn’t need a lot of time, but it’s super. The staff are marine biologists who are keen to share their passion of the ocean with children and adults alike. The interaction with the animals is great as well. Would definitely recommend.

Positive experience: It’s a very small aquarium with limited exhibits, so there’s not a lot to see, and I spent about 20 minutes there. However, the staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to answer questions. This aquarium may be better suited for a quick stop or a family outing with young children, as it’s easy to explore in a short amount of time.

Positive experience: I went as it was listed on the Copenhagen card. I like that there were two fish tanks which we can touch the animal. There were not a lot to see inside the building. Later, I found that Malmo museum has more fish, other animals. There is a castle next to the museum too.

Positive experience: Really small indoor aquarium, but they do a good job of using the outdoor space to host activities for kids ( crab fishing etc )

Positive experience: The aquarium is part of the university. It is quite small, not the best aquarium I've seen on my trip. The up side of it was in the first 2 rooms, where you can pet the animals inside the aquariums.

Positive experience: A nice place to take very young kids to. However the place is absolutely tiny, the size of a goldfish department in a standard gardening store. Regardless, this aquarium is not only for kids to look at, it's also a part of the local University's scientific research of the sea life. They offer good sea study related outdoor activities for kids as well, when the weather permits.

Fantastic experience: Ducked in here to avoid some rain as it was included in the Copenhagen and it turned about to be one of my favourites from my visit to Denmark. I loved that it’s such a small aquarium only displaying aquatic animals from local waters. It’s great for interacting and getting hands on. We stayed for some fish feeding and the talk was great. I wish I had the name of the guy leading it as he was fantastic. He was entertaining and so knowledgeable. He talked to us for ages answering all our questions,I learnt so much.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely adore this aquarium! The experience was phenomenal. Being able to interact with aquatic animals was a highlight. Kathrine, the marine biology student, was incredibly knowledgeable and took us backstage to interact with animals. Overall, a must-visit for anyone fascinated by marine life!

Fantastic experience: Very good experience : super friendly staff who takes time to explain during the fish feeding session. And the « cherry on the cake » : the crab fishing in the outdoor aquarium.

Positive experience: Nice little Aquarium with all danish species and small ponds where the kids can touch and play with fish, seaweed, crabs and molluscs. Please expect it to be a small aquarium.

Fantastic experience: Tiny, cozy aquarium. It is very small but they offer amazing interactive activities every hour, like feeding the fish and other creatures habituating the aquarium. Beside this, there is a fun catching crab activity, where kids can catch some of the crabs and then release them in special outdoor basin where they live and are fed by staff.

Positive experience: Visited with Copenhagen card. Very small exhibitions. Finished within 10 minutes. Spent more time walking here from train station

Fantastic experience: Charming little aquarium where you can see and touch a few sea creatures. Don’t go in expecting something huge, the moment we went in we were told that this is Denmark’s smallest aquarium, but that didn’t take away from how cool and cozy this felt. It was included in the Copenhagen Card, so we went there and had a blast for 30 minutes, plus, touching fish, crabs and other sea creatures was super cool.

Fantastic experience: Small, but very nice place, with an option to feed the fish or catch the crabs. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Small but interesting museum with a lot of interaction for kids. We even did go crab hunting which was a lot of fun. Also the staff was very kind. Museum was included in Copenhagen Card.

Positive experience: Wonderfully cozy aquarium where the animals are all loved and cared for very well. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and great with answering the many questions of the guests.

Positive experience: Small but very nice. Staff was very friendly. And a ticket is valid all day long so we spend some time in the aquarium, then went out to eat, to visit the maritime museum and then came back to see the feeding of the fish.

Fantastic experience: It’s tiny but the staff look after it so well , they maintain the glass multiple times every day , this allows very clear viewing

Fantastic experience: It’s a tiny aquarium, but you can really see the care of the staffs here. The mirrors are also clear as being wiped by the staff, the tank was also wiped when there’s water droplets (you can touch animals in this tank). The displays in each tank is nice too, I can really look at the details on the fish’s body, it’s a lot better than many aquarium that create too much distance between us and the fish. I don’t know about other days, but today 11:00 they were feeding fish, and I got to feed too! If you love aquarium, I think you should visit.

Positive experience: Rather expensive for the size. But good exhibits and several touch pools. Very friendly staff and easy to talk to in English.

Fantastic experience: Small but full of things to look at and interact with, especially liked the jellyfish that emits pulsating rainbow lights. It's clear lots of consideration went into setting up the exhibit. Staff were also really welcoming and knowledgeable

Fantastic experience: Really good, not much there but the quality is superb, with a set of pools that you can interact with the creatures in, and feeding times where you see the creatures better. There are multiple languages available. Perfect for kids, or as we did it, as a tag on attraction after doing most of everything else in the area.

Fantastic experience: Best aquarium I’ve seen in my life, better than acquario di Genova, a lot of fish that you can touch, big variety of local fish, super recommended to go there is you are visiting the castle near by, I’ve spent a lovely afternoon there

Fantastic experience: Was on top of my list to visit attractions in helsinor as a fish keeper and I must say it amazed me, especially the jelly fish they were beautiful. The aquariums are diverse and reasonably populated. Very friendly staff and an exciting place to visit for kids.

Fantastic experience: Very nice aquarium, not very big but a lot to see. Very friendly staff. The employee asked if we wanted to see the feeding of the fish. Also very nice for children, you can touch a lot. Easy to find and good free parking options.
