Positive experience: The fish are nice but for the fancy goldfish there are not many and they should think about stocking ranchus as every time I go there is no ranchus

Negative experience: Not a very good set up some of the were dead and no one was bothered about any of the fish and all the floor was wet with no wet floor signs warning you

Fantastic experience: The staff here are always patient, knowledgeable and helpful. Whenever I have a tricky pond maintenance problem (plumbing, electrical, etc) they always have a solution. Well done and thank you, yet again.

Fantastic experience: I recently visited the Aquatic shop at Birleymoor and I can honestly say it was the best fish shopping experience I’ve had, it was even that good we went back with a family member to purchase a few sturgeon, which are still as happy in there new home as they were when we collected them! Considering they are half way though a refit the fish look very well looked after, and what a selection of fish they have especially with the selection of betta fish! They have everything you would need! I wanted to say a massive thank you to all the team for helping advise us on issues we are currently having with our tank and advice on the set up of our new tank! I look forward to returning here in the future and would 100% recommend this store and can only praise the staff there as they are so helpful and knowledgeable! 5* Service!

Fantastic experience: Fantastic local fish shop. Have a great selection of fish, plants and anything else you want to put in your aquarium. Michael, Chris and the team are always great, nothing is ever too much trouble. incredibly helpful and very knowledgeable. I would not hesitate on recommending this great place to anybody in the hobby!

Negative experience: If I could give zero stars, I would. Arrived yesterday with my hand in my pocket ready purchase some new wet pets. I was absolutely horrified to see that the nearly full betta stand was occupied by atleast 6 dead bettas and many more who were clearly struggling. Hundreds of guppies crammed into a tiny, and I mean tiny box, tank where they barely had room to swim round each other. I didn't look round any further than this, I left empty handed and disgusted. Won't be visiting again and certainly won't recommend to fellow aquarists.

Fantastic experience: Very well stocked tanks with plenty of fish to chose from. Sent message To Birley Aquatics asking details of fish in stock. They got back to me very prompt with stock and prices. When arriving at shop prices different to quoted, but no hesitation the gentlemen honoured price quoted. All fsh have settled in well and look healthy. Prices a little high compared to other shops but pleased with quality. Will visit again at some point on delivery of Discus fish arriving.. Fantastic experience: Nice staff. Very helpful. We use this place for most of our outdoor pond and indoor aquarium needs . The garden center is great too. Family run ,not too large , great place to visit. Highly recommend

Fantastic experience: really friendly and knowledgeable staff, gave me loads of advice when setting up my aquarium and sold me some great little fish which are happy and healthy and live plants and accessories. Will definately be going back there
